This used to be Brio and is still an Italian restaurant. We were a family party of 11 and the waitress was very good, taking time to get all our orders. Most of us had pizzas and we didn't have to wait too long, considering the size of our party. When the food arrived it was hot, it had plenty of toppings and was excellent. Highly recommend this place

Before I start, let's make it clear I ordered from delivery, not in the restaurant. If you are eating in, it may be a more enjoyable experience but don't order for delivery. Spending around £40 on the order, we were shocked when a Vegan pizza was not delivered. When following up about this on the phone, we were told that the chef didn't know what the Vegan pizza was and so didn't bother to make it, but charged for it nonetheless. Onto what was delivered, the food was stone cold. Nonna's Lasagna, more like Nonna's disaster - cold, a lack of meat, which tasted frozen anyway, and by appearance, I would think that Nonna had made the dinner in reverse, eating the raw ingredients so that she could vomit it up into the makeshift foil box. That...was absolute dogshit. The one saving grace was the rosemary and garlic sauté potatoes, they were bloody nice! Not worth £40 and a shite excuse from the staff. Would not recommend.

Don’t waste your time or your money dining in this restaurant. My partners wild mushroom starter looked dreadful and when we complained to the waitress, she became quite rude and almost telling us that we were wrong and did not know what we were talking about. I had the deep-fried mozzarella to start, which was just about warm, but I could peel the breadcrumb layer off of the cheese so in my opinion microwaved. We ended up cancelling the main courses paying our bill which they did put a service charge on which we had taken off and left. We will never return.

We won’t be rushing back in a hurry. We started with the prawns and garlic dough balls. The dough balls serving was great and could have easily been a shared but they were drowning in butter to the point that’s all you could taste. The prawns were a good size and fresh but not full of flavour. The crab linguine however was delicious! Loads of crab meat and a huge portion which we’ll definitely be eating again. We ended up sat outside with a slightly blocked view of the staff so struggled at times to get serviced but the staff were all friendly.

We came for my brothers 21st birthday, was very disappointing. First of all took ages to order any drinks and when two of the drinks came the lemonade tested like fizzy water, when I said to the waiter the syrup had gone he seemed very confused and then checked and said the problem has been sorted but seemed hesitant to give us other drinks and never apologised. Took ages to then order our food and waited over an hour for our food, we were only a table of 8 and there was max about 4/5 tables in there, so god knows what it would be like if it was busy. They then forgot one of our pizzas and one of the sides and then for some reason put another pizza on a gluten free base when no one asked for that. So by the time the two pizzas came and the side everyone had finished their meal. The food was so bland and then took ages to order desserts and get them, which were all so bland and boring. No one checked up on us and asked about our food and no gesture for my brothers 21st which we didn’t expect but some restaurants do. Overall, service very poor, food also very poor but it’s nicely decorated in there.

Out walking our dog, we visited Fratelli on Tuesday evening, after we had already eaten. The weather was particularly warm and the terrace looked so inviting. There were two huge pergolas offering shade, with large TV screens playing the England football match. The terrace was crowded with diners, creating a pleasant lively atmosphere. We received a warm welcome and were shown to a table where our drinks orders were taken. The drinks were cool and refreshing and arrived promptly despite thd staff being rushed off their feet. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment, even if you're just after a drink. It's the perfect place to sit back and relax with a glass of wine on Worthing seafront.

Took at least 30mins for a drinks order to be taken and delivered to table - had to send Diet Coke's back twice as they where completely flat each time. Very limited options for the vegan in our party. 1 dish arrived cold, 2 lasagnes dry with far too much cheese, pizza while tasty, was very doughy in the middle. Having been ignored for 15 minutes I attempted to ask a waiter for some drinks to be told to sit down and he would be over. Another 15 minutes went by and he finally arrived to ask what we wanted. He was very abrupt and quite rude when we asked for a pitcher of Pimms telling us that they had no fruit at all in the restaurant and just walked off. We went to The Beach house bar 30mtrs away and were served delicious Pimms by super friendly staff. This was the second time we have found the staff rude. I can't vouch for the quality of food or atmosphere as we left. Would I return? Nope...not when there are friendlier (dare I say more deserving) bars next door!!

This is for the new Fratelli restaurant To kick things off, the entrance isn't in the obvious place so it looked shut however we chanced on the side entrance and ended up walking across the restaurant to get a table. We booked a table however there was no ask of who we were so looks like we were treated as a walk-in. That bit of confusion aside, the restaurant is nice in terms of decor. The food was amazing and quick to come out after we ordered. The blonde waitress who helped to serve us was friendly and welcoming however the oldest waiter acted as if he hated working on Friday nights (the younger waiter was friendly and helpful). Not a smile and he dropped our plates on the table as if we were an inconvenience. His mood did change when talking to a big table of lady guests though so we were left wondering if we did something wrong. Not a great way to celebrate a birthday. Overall, we loved the food but I doubt we'll go back after that. If the waiter had a bad day or something, that's okay but unfortunately he did a bad job of hiding it.

We visited today for a birthday lunch. Most of our group were vegan, with one vegetarian & one meat-eater. There were a couple of very simple pasta options on the memu (Pomodorro or Arrabbiata), and I went for the latter, adding mushrooms. My partner went for the single vegan pizza option. The food was all fine, but very limited options and it was nothing special. Also no vegan desserts on the menu. The waitress was friendly enough, but did not know if any of the pastas were vegan. Overall, a very unmemorable experience & certainly not a destination for a special occasion.

Brio was refurbished and reopened recently as Fratelli with a new menu and a much publicised new Pizza oven brought over from Naples with bricks hewn out of rocks from Vesuvius. The new decor I like very much and they have spent a fortune including Venetian tiling in the toilets. Far better than before. It also doesn't seem so huge for some reason, nor is it anything like as noisy.. The menu is much smaller than most Italian restaurants but many of the dishes are a bit different and sounded delicious if rather pricey. The drinks too. The cheapest wine is £22.50 and Peroni beer £6.60 Now it was a pre birthday celebratory dinner for my eldest son, so I took in the cake and candles about 5.45 to find the place rammed solid. I followed in a group of 4 elderly and a group of possibly teenagers or early 20's. I mention this for a reason, coming up. I was met by a very friendly blonde lady with blonde hair who took in the cake and candles and said she would be looking after us. At 7.30 we arrived. Once more the blonde lady came up and then seemed to be doing a shuffling act with the single sheet of paper menus. I think they were designed to be added or subtracted to because they didn correspond quite with what I had seen on the website. We then found they didnt match! At this point, she announced they had run out of pizza (extraordinary!), which disappointed my son and beef cheek which disappointed me as I saw it on their website. The blonde lady didn't come near our table again. So we waited and waited. Nobody came to talk our order. Eventually a younger guy, I presumed to be one of the sons, came over asked if anybody had taken our drinks order. So he profusely apologised, took it and we asked for 2 tap waters. The drinks arrived but no tap water. They forgot More waiting. Eventually a young guy who looked as if he was more at home conversing with his tablet than us, came over and took our order. Meanwhile I realised the elderly people and the teenage group I had followed in were still there and were only part way through their meal. This didn't bode good for the service. Our starters arrived but we had ordered 3 portions of calamari, and only 2 had chillis on. So I called the son over who said oh they must have forgotten, I will bring you some over. They never arrived so we let it go. The calamari were OK but there was too much batter and a bit overcooked. Another long gap. The plates were cleared and I asked again for tap water. Oh sorry they must have forgotten. An even longer gap. The elderly group left. The teenage group had their birthday cake brought over. So at last our mains arrived but they left it until then to announce they had run out of the wild boar ravioli we had ordered 3 portions of and there were only two available. Why didn't they tell us earlier? So my youngest son volunteered to choose a Carbonara which arrived promptly. I have to say that my pollo crema was very tasty indeed, the carrots were beautifully sweet. My son said his ravioli was very good, although the dark yellow sauce looked very similar to that of my chicken. My wife's mussels were disappointing. A large number of shells were empty and the sauce looked like dirty water. So we sat. Meanwhile the double, double doors to the entrance kept blowing open and at one point the double emergency doors to the outside area blew open, The menu taking guy had gone home and the blonde lady was nowhere to be seen so I asked one of the Italian guys I remembered from Brio days if they could do the cake. After two requests no show I got up and found the cake with three lit candles sitting on the bar counter. Anyway it was brought over with plates and cutlery with a 'Happy Birthday' song They brought the bill. My younger son who runs a restaurant himself immediately spotted that it was wrong. They had failed to take off the more expensive Wild Boar Ravioli they ran out of and substitute it for the cheaper Carbonara. He also noted that the service they had added on should have been optional (the law apparently?) , because frankly having been there nearly 3 hours, the service had been dire. We were then offered some Limoncello on the house. We said OK, thanks. We waited. By this time youngest had had enough, put on his coat and was half way out the door when it arrived and one tipped over on the tray! Fair dues it was immediately replaced. But it had been more of an ordeal than a relaxing meal despite the jazzy soul music in the background. Will we go back? No. For a restaurant whose family have huge experience to run out of so much by 7.30 in the evening is poor, and no pizza? Really?

The new decor is great. Sadly they had amazingly run out of the much publicised pizzas and at least two of the dishes we wanted. What we did have was good except the calamari starters were overcooked and more batter bits than calamari. The mussels had many empty shells and not very good. We were forgotten to start with and the service was desperately slow. They kept forgetting things. Wines expensive and they got the bill wrong. Despite the great location, friendliness and the potential of a menu with a difference, so many areas need urgent attention or all the refurbishment money will be wasted. Their custom will walk. Not cheap and you'll do better elsewhere. Dispiace fratelli

Used to love this place - new owner has no clue unfortunately. Arrived at 7 to find that they had run out of dough on a Saturday night. This halved the menu. They had already opened our wine so we felt trapped to stay. The descriptions on the menu did not match what we were served. We think they ran out of more ingredients so they “improvised”. Some dishes were ok, some cold. Complained to the owner and he agreed that the experience was awful but did not offer anything to compensate us. We were charged full price (£200). I think they should refund us as it was just appalling. So sad as we used to be quite regular customers.

On an evening visit to Worthing whilst out with friends, we discovered this lovely Italian restaurant along the sea front close to the main High Street area. We hadn’t made a booking and being early in the evening, there were tables available. The service was excellent and the food was fabulous. The menu is sizeable and reasonably traditional…pasta, pizza, other mains, with some more unusual/creative dishes too. Our main course choices ranged from sea food risotto, chicken risotto, lasagne to pasta with pear, goats cheese and sausage and the service was nice and prompt. The food was delicious and the portions very sizeable (leaving no room for desserts). Cost wise, our mains were between £14 and £15 each. We felt this was good value for money. The manager who greeted on arrival and served our table was very polite, helpful, friendly and hospitable and the restaurant had a very friendly atmosphere. On our own experience we would recommend this restaurant for a pre-show dinner like ours or similar.

A group of 5 of us went to Brios on the weekend. We waited 30 mins for our drinks order to be taken. Once all the starters came out we were advised 2 were not available, and offered to order different things. I thought I'd just wait for my main as most of the group had already finished their starters by this point. 2 of the 5 mains came out earlier than the rest. 2 of us had ordered margarita pizzas, but we were advised that the chef had put pineapple on them; which is a combination neither of us ate. So we advised we wouldn't want that. We were then told that they had no other pizza dough available and did we want to eat anything else. By this point most of the rest of the group had eaten more than half their mains; so we decided not to order additional mains as we would be eating separately and it was getting late (we'd been at the resturant almost 2 hours at this point as the service was slow). In addition we could hear the wait staff and chef arguing about our order with the chef shouting "they can just pick the pineapple off" with a lot of additional swearing and slamming things. The wait staff were very apologetic but we spend almost 2.5 hours where all I was provided from what I had ordered was a diet coke. The manager did remove the cost of the mains off the meal as a gesture of good will, but for 2 out of 5 of the group, left really hungry and disappointed. It really was one of the worst meals out I think I've ever had.

Staff lovely, but unfortunately both our starters were cold. They did offer to change them. One main meal was lukewarm and one was piping hot. Calzone was on the small side as was the mozzarella starter but not an issue for us.

If i could give no stars i would of. Today with my family of six we choose this place, firstly i had to go and find someone to ask if the place was open... People sitting on tables actaully worked there sat slumped on phones, we were seated atmosphere was okay but no one was there now i know why, i had prawns for starter was cold and looking at the other dishes they didnt look anything special either, then came to main dish... I ordered sea bass with mango... It was ABSALOUTEY DISGUSTING. Seabass with a mango sorbet sauce cold and way to sweet, could be eaten as a dessert with tasteless fish. I sent it back not eating it as it was simply unedible as a main. whilst everyone else carried on eating, trying some of my grandmothers chicken that had parts of grill stuck to it Was also absaloutly disgusting. To then have the waiter argue that i ordered mango seabass what did i expect . To then hear the whole kitchen getting angry... The waitress telling them not to shout. Well i have seen resturants being run and appreciste things go wrong but never, never in my life have i gone to a restraunt and been told they wont take the dish of the bill i could not eat as i TOUCHED IT. The food is absaloutly disgusting the staff are rude and aragont, ill be suprised if this business survives another year. Revolting rude resturant AVIOD AT ALL COSTS. Would never spend another penny in a place like this food has put me of.... Whole experience was awful and i came from 2 hours away to see family.

We love this Italian restaurant. The food is delicious always, freshly cooked and never disappoints. Everything you'd expect from good Italian fayre. The portions are more than generous, sand beautifully presented. The staff are very friendly and great fun. The outside space is lovely with views of the sea under pretty parasoles. The in- house pizza's are gorgeous. Doughballs the size of crickett balls! We ate there on three separate days, and Had lunch and two evening meals whilst on a weeks break in Worthing. That speaks for itself!

Absolutely abysmal. We ordered from Uber Eats and when the food arrived everything was stone cold. We also were missing items or received incorrect ones. Despite the food being cold, I doubt it being hot would improve it. The zucchini fritte was soggy and unseasoned. the bruschetta didn't arrive. The pizza was the perfect combo of bad ingredients and worse execution. the ragu bolognese was worse than the cheapest microwave dinner money can buy. the chocolate cake tasted like a box mix which made it the best part of a meal and the apple rustica also wasn't present. Overall a shameful display. Overpriced and disappointing. We won't be ordering a second time and you shouldn't order a first.

Misleading signs outside restaurant stating roast dinners all day Sunday. Menu states Sunday lunch but in very small print states in winter only. Unhappy but had already paid £24 for bottle of wine. Staff member just shrugged when we pointed out the signage is misleading. Food (sea bass and lamb steak) were lovely but will not be returning due to poor customer service.

I arrived with my wife and daughter this evening. On entering, was given a hostile look by a tall bearded man that I assume was the manager. All the waiters and staff at the bar were women who did treat us fairly and softened an otherwise unpleasant experience. One of the waitresses said that we could take any of the three tables that were free in the outdoor area. As we settled down on a table, the manager came over to tell us that the table was booked. I replied that we were told there was no need to book outside seating. He then said there was a 1.5 hour wait for food and walked off. This was difficult to believe as everyone was eating and there was no queue. At the same time, one of the waitresses told my wife that the wait for food was 15 minutes. After a short wait at our table confused and wondering what was going on, I walked in and asked the ladies serving at the bar how long it would take to get food. She told me the food service was temporarily shut down with an apologetic look that said: 'I know this is ridiculous, but that is what I have been told to say', with the manager lurking in the background. I took this as a coded message to get out. We walked out and dined at Ask Italian around the corner where we were treated much better and with better food and drink. I say this as a former devoted customer of Brio who has dined there for many years. Brio is now and end of an era as far as I am concerned. I am steering clear of the place from now on. Cancel culture can work both ways.

Overall not great experience and won't be returning. On the arrival asked if we could sit outside, we were told yes. No menus presented, had to stand up after 10 min wait, young lady did apologize though. once we ordered, got the food quite fast , had salmon rissoto which was fine. However, Nobody done check back on us or if we need more drinks and it wasn't busy at all. We felt not welcomed at all . After , 10% service charge added , which we asked to be taken off , as there wasn't much of the service, and asked to pay separately, at that moment waiter did mumble some sort of swearing on us in his language - my friend did understand as speaks the same language, which i found very rude. Sad experience.

We love this place. We almost always go here for birthdays because it's bright and breezy, the food is always great, the beer is cold, the staff are friendly and efficient and there's a huge variety of dishes on the menu... so even the fussiest diner is catered for.

Really good food, really good service! The only reason for 4 stars on the atmosphere was that when we arrived at 8.15 there was only 2 other sets of diners and by 9pm we were the only ones in there! Would definitely go again!

Simple review here... Absolutely incredible restaurant, we went for my wife's birthday and was not disappointed... 3 course meal, wine and great service. My father in law commented it was the best pizza he had in years, whilst my pasta Bolognese was incredible... My son commented that he was the king of tiramisu, he accepted their challenge and ate a huge slab of it, he was very impressed... Recommended highly

Arrived at midday for a pre booked table for 9, ages from 16 to 80+. Asked for a table on Terrace which was rapidly made available. All the varied food orders were excellent - try the pre order dough balls with cheese! - first and main courses arrived on time, together and hot, not easy with so many different choices. All in all a most enjoyable experience AND the drinks were not expensive!

I came here 2 days ago, late on a windy, wintry night and the seafood tagliatele was excellent. Tonight I returned and the food was again superb. The waiter recommended the dish and I was not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and service prompt. Inspector Montalbano would have been very satisfied.

The problem with this place is the manager. My friend has Parkinsons disease which makes speech very difficult. She was told by the manager to get out because she was drunk. She only drinks Coke. She was in tears and I gave the manager a piece of my mind. The manager insulted my other friend saying he is too fat, and banned him saying he didn't want him here. He patronises customers, saying that you have to sit here, insulting them by pointing at tables. His pizzas are small thin and inconsequential at an enourmous price, over £20. The manager is stark raving mad, charging up and down the tiny seating area talking to himself and making hand signs. This guy is a bully to his young staff who are amazing in their manners and attentiveness. Many customers complain, but are ignored because that guy is arrogant. there are many pizza places in the area where you will get friendlier and more respectful service.
