Great wee van for breakfast and lunchtime. The girls are a laugh and the food is really good quality, with very fresh ingredients. This is better than the vast majority of lay by food stops that I have eaten at.

We had our staff end of Edinburgh Festival party in Dumfries so arranged with Karen to stop by on the way down. Some 40 of us rocking up at 7:30 am did not phase her out, very quickly we had our hot breakfast rolls in our mitts and were suitability replete to continue our journey. Great friendly team and the best breakfast rolls ever

Pulled up at 2 o'clock just as they were about to close,wasn't a problem had a square sausage and egg roll served in 1 minute and was delicious,will be stopping here again 5*****

Visited Karen's Kitchen today for lunch. The burgers were home made, cooked while you wait and tasted lovely. Served by a very friendly lady. Impressed by the very high standard of food hygiene. Well worth a visit.

In a quiet location just outside Dolphinton Karen's Snack Bar is in a lay by with plenty of parking off the main road. The food is for the most part cooked to order so you may have a short wait but it's worth the wait. Karen uses fresh high quality produce, not the typical frozen rubbish you would normally expect from a roadside van. In addition to the usual breakfast staples, also on offer is fresh made soup, gourmet burgers and best of all, fresh good quality coffee. Well worth a visit.

Home made burgers freshly cooked will satisfy the hungriest appetite and prepared as you wait. Coffee and teas prepared to your liking. You can be assured of a very friendly welcome from Karen and her team. A great mobile watering hole with plenty of parking.

Karen saved our life on a cold morning in May. We left Edinburgh early morning, hoping to stop somewhere for breakfast, or at least a cup of decent coffee. We turned off at every little village without any success when just as my wife was starting to get her lack of coffee migraine, Karen's place popped up, like some mirage out of the culinary desert. The coffee was great and Karen makes the best bacon and egg roll I have tasted on 5 continents. You can even have haggis on your roll ! Thank you Karen, heart felt.
