Friendly staff helpful and polite

I've been going to this McDonald's on and off for years and I'm not sure why but sometimes it seems to struggle with the drive-thru and the backlog but eventually it gets cleared. As an aside the app is a good idea but it's not always very functional but hopefully these things will improve 👍 UPDATE now resolved 😀

Can't fault food selection staff friendly also kept very clean tidy

I have given up going to McDonald's. The food is of poor quality & cold when you get it. Does not make any difference between siting in or drive through. Just not worth the money & time.

Fast service , good food and nice staff with no issues.

The chips were stone cold no salt and my McFlurry had not a lot in it

Friendly staff, good range of products and prices. Clean area, which is always good when eating.

Barely edible, barely warm and barely polite staff with barely working equipment...

Food was mediocre, ordered and was told 5 minutes later by shrek the cleaner hiding in his cupboard to leave because the store was closing at 11.35pm🤥 yet everyone else was still sat. He stood staring at us making us feel uncomfortable the entire time we were in.

Very quick service everything was hot which makes a big difference and pleasant staff

Just check your order before you leave,, as they do have a habbit of getting it wrong or missing items

Mcdonalds is mcdonalds. Depending what you get and when you get it will depend on the quality of the end product . But realistically its what you expect from fast food

Missing 1 bigmac from drive through and the fries were cold

It has become painfully slow. ‘Dine in’ customers are the lowest priority and left to wait while app customers and drive through are prioritised. It’s never going to be fine dining and it is great for what it is but, if you remove the ‘fast’ from fast food you’re just left with the ‘food’ and to be honest, for the amount of time you wait, just go to a nicer cafe and enjoy the better food which will In all likelihood, be quicker than going here.

As per any other McDonald's, busy during rush hour however I must say that the fries were piping hot and very fresh which was a very nice welcome. The burger I had ordered (fish) was also very good and freshly made.

The lad serving on the drive thru today at 11 has an attitude problem and isn't fit for customer service. Alot of items also asked for apparently not avaliable probably to lazy to make at this time even though only 2 orders at this time.

Just rubbish junk food. Hate it.

Long wait before placing order, always asked to park up in a space even for just a simple plain double cheeseburger. Additional sauce that I was charged for was forgotten, food was lukewarm, drive-thru is regularly closed especially during peak times, there's usually more staff out having a smoke break than there are inside actually working.

ORIGINAL REVIEW AUG 2023: It was ok. Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and it looked quite sad, and tasted like sad too. Someone else in our party got a few hairs in his medium chips. The standard McFlurry looked smaller than the mini. Service was also very slow, having to wait 15 mins for our order when it wasn't even that busy. It's ok for a cheap dinner, but it's very uninspiring. UPDATE AUGUST 2024: I came back a year later with the same group of people, and I had a hair in my burger. This is the second time in 2 years one of us has had a hair in our food from here. There's clearly a need for a cleanliness review for this franchise, as it's clearly not up to scratch. I deducted a star from my rating because of the consistently poor hygiene of this branch of McD's.

It’s a McDonalds, you know what you’re expecting. Staff are generally really nice and, if you happen to go when the McFlurry machine is actually “working” or “on” good fortune will follow you and your family for the rest of the day

One of the lesser McDonald's locally. Staff are consistently diabolical and seem to come through in a revolving door of misery and despair. Once witnessed staff do a lock in 20 mins before closing time with there mates having a vape and some 'banter'. Berwick ones alot better but sadly further away. If you can be bothered drive to another McDonald's, this one sucks most of the time just depends on the latest hirings and firings.

You think I'm going to admit to going to Mucky D's for a fine, freshly made Fillet of Fish .... Well yes. The Smarties McFlurry was just as good as the last one I had about 10 years ago 👍

Stopped in for a meal grandkids. Disappointed as the meals were not hot, so not enjoyable.

Based on occasional visits over about two years at different times of day, it is generally very slow (even on drive-thru). Often asked to park and wait up for the order to be brought to you. Not sure why they struggle to get the basic drive-thru service right. Don't leave the counter or collection window without checking your order is correct. The food is generally lukewarm by the time it arrives - and even when swiftly served it can be barely warm. Fries tend always to disappoint too: soggy, floppy and/or anaemic. Tend only to visit when desperate and short on time. Burgers have to be some of the saddest looking attempts I've ever seen. The most recent attempt was swimming in ketchup. If not absolutely desperate, but looking for a positive golden arches fix, like most branches within an hour, you'll probably want to give this one a miss.

I can honestly say that this McDonalds now holds the accolade of being the slowest McDonalds in the UK. Waited so long for the food to get to the counter from the time ot was ordered, the family decided to eat it in the car on our travels.

Nothing at all, food was cold. And it was all quick, quick, quick. There were 2 employees who were nice, but the rest walked around bored

Absolutely shambles of a place. It's bad enough getting a order wrong when you use the in store touch screen, where they print the order out for you. But to then get it wrong 2 more times?.

Waited ages in the drive through. Waited ages to be told go wait in the car park! The car park was overflowing with a tail back for the drive through. Asked for a refund....that took longer than it should have as well. A lot of hassle and wasted time for two ice creams. Won't be heading back any time soon

30 minutes for 4 McFlurries absolutely diabolical. They lost our order.

Drive through poorly planned. They made a mistake in my order and then told me I would have to go back round the drive through to get the item they missed as they had no till at the end window. But to be fair my daughter phoned to complain and the manager offered free of charge. if I went back and redid my order

Every car which left the drive through was made to park. Waited almost 20mins for 2 Happy Meals with kids hungry in the car. The GMaps said the location was "a little busy". Not worth the wait.

Staff are nice but orders always take at least 20 mins and will have items missing. Tonight was notably one of the worst wait time/order missing combo. Waited 25 mins for 2 meals and desserts. Then was told everything is ready except for the pies and we could wait 5 mins or get something else. So we said we would have mcflurries instead……… which took them over 5 mins to make. So by this point another member of staff asks us why we’re standing around the collection counter to which I say “i’m not sure, we were told pies would be 5 mins and we could have mcflurries faster so our food doesn’t get cold but it’s been 7 mins and we have neither”. The employees response was to say he would grab the pies and be back in a minute. Another 5 minutes later a different member of staff asks what we’re waiting for to which I say “i’m not sure at this point it’s either pies or mcflurries”. I’m then handed the 2 pies and get halfway home before I realise my burger isn’t in the bag. I’m starving at this point so I go all the way back and they look behind them and grab my original burger that missed the bag 45 minutes ago. I didn’t catch this before I got home but it was ice cold alongside the rest of the food. I thought ah well at least I have my warm galaxy chocolate pie that I waited an extra 10 mins for……. wrong. I bit into it and it’s a hot cross bun pie from weeks ago….. and it’s somehow cold in the middle and obviously quite gross cause hot cross buns are just disgusting. I got served a pie that’s not even on the menu? I’ve included a picture of it below because honestly if it were me I would think this review is a joke. Sadly, it’s not and i’m down £18, hungry and annoyed that i’ve wasted an hour AND ate a raisin in my bite of mislabelled pie.

I ordered a McFlurry, expecting ice cream but instead I got a MELTED McFlurry, I ONLY went up to McDonald’s for and ice cream and got WATER. This is disgraceful

Food was cold when i collected it, then waited more time to hand my food back. Asked for a fresh hot food waited a further 15mins by that time my fries were cold. Asked forns refund was not even busy when we went shocking service and bad food.

This has to be the worst McDonalds, unfortunately it’s my local. Cold food, soggy chips. Ice Cream machine never working. Can they not remove the franchise and put a better manager in ?

OMG, driving along in the dark. Starving. Saw the 'Golden Arches' and my word what a feast. Friendly staff. Speed service and toilets so clean you could lick your big Mac sauce off.

Ordered the chicken combo which has 20 nuggets and 2x 5 selects, received my order and in stead of receiving 10 selects I got 3, returned to correct the mistake and I got them replaced with 9, not gonna lie who can't count to 10 and the food was heavily over salted

At 14:02 I saw the two burgers being made and put down the chute to under the warming lights. I continued to wait. At 14:11 I still had not received my order and asked for the manager. He tried to tell me that the orders went out in order placed (fair enough), but I asked what the problem is getting orders made to waiting customers, as the food had been sitting there for nine minutes (he confirmed the burgers were for my order). I also advised him that while I was waiting I saw two different staff members salt the fries, with a lot of salt. He said that wasn't correct, but left them there and let them continue to be served. I told him I didn't want food that had been sitting for so long and asked for a refund. Won't stop here again. Poor service, allowing bad food out.

Hot chocolate out of syrup as usual. But they don't care. Jolie took our food over very polite and helpful.

2 family booths taken up by members of management during a busy lunchtime causing my disabled mum to sit on a bench where the ipads are. Not great to be honest.

It's a McDonald's... mass production food with added chemicals.

There’s a self-touch machine inside to order, tills with real people manning them & a very slow drive through even when it’s not busy at all. It’s quite a small drive through with just one lane but it’s very slow, yet other McDonald’s establishments have two lanes and are a lot lot quicker!! There’s toilets in the building too. It’s like staff purposely forget to use the waiting bays when something isn’t ready, so holds up everyone else in the drive through. Took a few mins to get round the building, you’re looking at Approx 5-10 mins if not more. Food is either quite warm or luke-warm never freshly hot. Alright for a snack though. Coffee is always hot just not always a full cup given.

For the time of night I went just before closing the Sunday night staff were awesome. So friendly and helpful..food was fresh too. Few loud teens being teens I guess but apart from that always come back for more

This is worst McDonald's in Scotland three different occasions I was missing half my order and the toppings all wrong will never answer a phone stay away at all costs people!!!!!!!!!!

Used the drive thru. The Muppet had put everything upside down in the bag. Chips all over the place.

Will not be returning as our order was incomplete AGAIN. Service was painfully slow. Third time our order has been unfulfilled or by very definition theft by obtaining pecuniary advantage.... and sick and tired of their litter despoiling the beautiful Borders.

Will not be visiting again as the food and service were awful. Order incomplete, for the second time, lots of items unavailable. Very slow service despite it not being very busy.
