I get the whole idea but didn’t find it that funny, one of the waiters seemed to enjoy calling us wh0res and sl*gs a bit too much, it got boring and annoying. Between me and my mate it was about 70 quid for Prosecco and very average burger and chips. Save your money

While I get the whole thing is service being rude here, I didn't expect the service to be this bad. We sat down and looked at the menu and thought paying £17-24 for a burger was ridiculous. I get that I maybe do not understand the British humor so much as an American- however I felt like it was taking it too far with an elder person they had called to the spotlight. I also heard quite a lot of sexual references and jokes yet the restaurant was filled with children at lunch. We sat down and saw the food of the people next to us and were a bit shocked as it looked like a microwave meal. We sat for 25+ minutes on a dirty table and nobody had come to take our order. We ended up leaving as we felt it wasn't worth it.

So I went with my 8 year old and 1 year old and partner. The main blonde lady was funny and saying rude jokes. But the other waiters didn’t have a clue. Just told us to f off over and over again. Shut the f up. When I said food is cold shut the f up. Forgot my 1 year old food and then my baby gave a pencil to the waitress and she put her middle finger in her face!!!!!! She’s bloody 1! Not 8 but 1 years old. That’s not even funny is just nasty and sick in the head. The concept is good but they didn’t have a clue how to joke just tell u shut the f up. The only one that was funny was blonde lady. But yeh not great at all and food was terrible!

If you want to go somewhere unique & different it’s a lot of fun. Prepare to be insulted, you’re able to insult back. If you’re an Aussie you’ll understand all about “Karen” from our time in Covid, an obnoxious woman who got herself on the news & whinged incessantly. Casual dining - Great burgers. Cocktails were delicious too. A great night & good value.

Great experience and the bad service was great. You have to understand level of abuse your going get, but I loved it and it entertained me highly especially the hat names on people. Burger I really enjoyed and I’ve cream was very nice. This is a diner and food was just like that. The door just starts the journey of perfect and vegans…. Beware lol

Terrible. I know it’s supposed to be bad, but it was gross. The tables were dirty and food options unhealthy and the food itself was bad. I like the idea of rude waitstaff etc but they don’t do it right. I’m disappointing I gave them my money.

I had mixed thoughts when going after reading some of the reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised. Taking my daughter out with 6 of her friends for her birthday, I was apprehensive about what was in store. But I found the staff very rude (excellent, just what we wanted in Karen’s. But they did it in a really nice way. You could see them break a smile occasionally and the girls took great delight in trying to get them to break character. When we went there was a compete who was doing games etc and it made for a great evening. Food was better than expected. Hot. Good portions. Good basket food like you’d get at entertainment style diner. Wings were good and lots in a portion. Food was all slammed out at the same time, which was good. I also liked the house rules. No body shaming and no food fights. Made for a fun evening g of being abused by Karens.

Absolutely hilarious. Reason we went to London was to see ABBA (say no more) and I had heard about this place so we booked lunch the next day. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much my face hurt even the next day. It’s not for the easily offended so don’t go there. Food was really good and came quickly. Will go there again as soon as I can. Thank you for the laughs.

It was brilliant from the minute we all stepped through the door . Shannon was the first to greet us with many swear words... What a great evening for everyone in there, everyone felt at ease and the place such a electric atmosphere and sall the staff were brilliant,but it was done so professionally . Can't recommend it enough , (go and experience it for yourself )👍👍👍

Awful experience, don't take children under 15. I expected rudeness and sarcasm but instead we were subjected to foul language and highly explicit sexual remarks, telling an 11 year old to F** off P*** off and calling them a T**t is unacceptable. They write comments on hats that you wear, most were sexually explicit, the room was full of children under the age of 15. This would be an appropriate evening experience for a hen or stag but not lunch for a family. The restaurant felt grubby and tired and the food was poor, my spicy chicken burger was soaked in chilli sauce making it slimey and vile the girls burgers were over cooked and the chips were under cooked. Avoid!

Wanted to see what the fuss was about, after seeing videos at the manchester branch i think, on a birthday visit to london we came here. The actors were very repetitive, same liners. They were also a little too polite! I was hoping for them to be more brutal like the videos, but it was almost like any other restaurant! We were seated in the corner so sometimes felt forgotten about. The food was pretty grim if I had to be honest. Would I come back? I wouldnt. Its a niche sure. But the staff just werent karen enough, the food was below average, I couldnt finish my hotdog! Overpriced! You essentially pay for a live action meal, but the actors just didnt do enough to engage us. Id have the exact same service at mcdonalds! Im sorry I found the london establishment boring!

The concept is great, but the way it is executed is awful. There was no wit or cleverness to the way the "rude service" idea was put across. It was literally just shouting and swearing at customers. The staff weren't funny. None of them could carry off the idea. They just shouted and swore. That is all they could do. For some reason, many parents had their young children there (lunchtime). It's not great to hear adults shouting at 6-year-olds "f*ck off you little sh*t", over and over again. With better "actors", this could have been good. It wasn't. The food was poor. It was expensive for what it was, and it was low quality. One of our main courses came out barely lukewarm. The table next to us kept asking where their food was for over half-an-hour. They just got told to "stop f*cking moaning". That was real poor service, not acted poor service. The place was grubby, especially the toilets. The menus were dirty and torn (not surprising as the server threw them on the floor). Staff hygiene was questionable and the main fire door was blocked by high-chairs and a table. To cap it all off, they add 12.5% "entertainment charge" to your bill. It wasn't entertainment. It was just awful.

We knew what to expect but the abuse was just repetitive and relied on telling people to fxxx off. They need to be more creative in their abuse. Hearing the song Happy birthday Fxxx off every 5 mins was just boring. The food was just ok, my friend’s burger looked undercooked so she left half of it.glad we’ve tried it to see what the hype was all about but won’t be going back.

Absolutely brilliant!!!! So so funny!! Amazing staff and the food was also spot on!! Would recommend it to anyone who’s up for a laugh!!

What an experience the waiter Kyle was amazing played the part extremely well! Loved his attitude and really did the upmost best to keep us entertained. Food was hot burger was amazing Over all a great experience and would highly recommend Great value for money Thank you again Karen 🤣🤣

Wow wow wow What a experience in Karen’s restaurant. Everything was great, specially Shanon. As you expect, terrible service, rude staff and lots of fxxxck off. Amazing social interaction. It feels the whole restaurant is dining together. Definitely recommended experience.

First time going here with friends. I mean the whole experience is as expected really rude service and jokes. This was all good and very funny and made the whole experience for us. The food though is so basic it's a tad overpriced for what you get. Of course we knew it was a diner so know about the food but the menu is very spare and the price for tbe food I could just get anywhere really.

Entertainment was rubbish ! And no atmosphere whatsoever the staff were just repeating them selves and not making them selves funny at all as it got repetitive. Do not recommend a place to go to have a laugh. Especially and it got hyped up and you get all ready for it and it turns out to be rubbish and boring. They added £25 on to the bill for the birthday cake which looked liked a classic Aldi cake that you could buy for £2. Food and service was ok . But the experience you go for is not all that. Very compact and feels dirty to sit at, do not recommend at all very overrated. Very expensive for what it is . Do not go for laugh or nice night out not rated whatsoever!

We booked our trip to this Karen’s several months ago and were so excited. We knew what to expect and made sure we had extra armour on for the night. Well, what an absolutely disappointing experience. From start to finish it was so far from the you tube videos we had seen of other Karen’s diners. The staff were not in tune with our culture, banter or humour and it resulted in a drab and underwhelming night. We had three big birthday celebrations and 8 people and were expecting the full Karen’s experience but left disappointed and upset at the £368 bill to boot. I would strongly recommend not going to the Islington franchise as it is clearly not on the same level as others.

Best time at karens. Super fun! Good food too ! Don't do a wowcher ot Groupon lol Best experience. Loved it ! Staff were absolutely brilliant!

as an experience the place was just what I was looking for, insults 'a' plenty, location was great although it seemed like you could not book a table online yet the place was mostly empty, the online booking system kept trying to send me to another karens which did not suit everyone, but the experience was awesome, great staff, great atmosphere was notjing but fun... my onky gripe was the food which was not impressive, considering we were a party of 6 with no alcohol the bill was £195 way too much for the food quality, iwould put the food quality on par with a below average pub, they really should upgrade their menu and produce quality food, for 1/4 price i could have taken everyone to burger king or mcdonalds and we could have insulted each other for free, defo will go again but maybe just order drinks next time

OMG so much fun being abused. When my 12 year old princess asked to visit Karen’s Diner as a birthday treat I thought ok not knowing what laid in store. we laughed so much at the rudeness it hurt. Things to remember these guys are professional and will eat your alive plus they have the mic. Thought I got away with it until I had to give the missus a lap dance. Listen food wise it’s an American diner but you ain’t going for food you are going for the full Karen experience….

My time here was shall we say unapleasing. £138 for 4 was 1 of many reasons I am unhappy. Straight away they put a service charge on for entertainment. I’m sorry but we had next to no entertainment. The food was unappealing and when we sent back 2 half eaten burgers you offered us 2 drinks on the house. I’m sorry I would have rather you taken a discount off even if it was a burger or a couple of our drinks. The service shall we say was trash not like Karen’s dinner style trash I mean the way they spent more time writing stuff on hats then actually entertaining the customers. When it come to service, the fact the room had a lot of people eating and only 3 front of house members of staff. Come on I mean if you know the service is going to be busy why don’t you make sure you have more staff on. When it came to the £25 cake and shot. The cake looked like something that you could buy from Sainsbury’s for about £7 and the shot my friend said tasted like sourz meaning it is one of the lower ends of price. We also thought that at least 2 members of staff to sing to the customer would have been good especially your paying £25 pounds which in my opinion was ridiculous. When it came to the staff the person at the door was very good at what he was doing. When it came to the other 2 I would say they need a serious training course on how to actually act instead of the terrible show which happened this evening. All in all we had travelled from Norfolk to come here to celebrate my friends birthday but I’m sorry i am really appalled and feel very embarrassed as I felt this would be a good surprise for them.

We took our 2 kids (10 and 14), the 10 yo was probably a bit too young, there were some quite inappropriate jokes. However they both loved it and it was fun. A very immersive experience and you bond with other guests. BUT.. the food was below average and seriously overpriced.. £5.95 for a pint of coke plus 12.5% service charge. For our family meal, no alcohol it was £120 including service. I won't rush back, definitely a one off experience. The food seriously let them down and the prices.

Worse experience. Server. Rating off your plate and touching their mouth and carrying glasses by rims with their fingers Yuk! Excessive F word Dumb. And not entertaining as other Karen’s I’ve been Short pour liquor

It was a great experience for the whole family. The staff were excellent in their ‘roles’ and specific mention to both Shannon and Rudeboy who were fabulous hosts!
