Good flavours good portions good value

An absolute shambles and a complete scam. I placed an order from this restaurant through Deliveroo, and they accepted it, took nearly £30, and then nothing—no food, no email, no phone call. I tried calling the restaurant, but neither of their phone numbers worked. Even Deliveroo couldn’t get in touch with them. Avoid this place at all costs—what kind of restaurant operates with both phone numbers out of service? Completely dodgy.

So, I guess I looked at the reviews and expected the worst. However, the truth is the food was great - I work away with an Indian guy and we both ordered the Biryani. All good and it really didn't take too long for our takeaway. I guess I would prefer freshly cooked food, even if it takes a little longer. Nice one guys 😋

Ordered a takeaway from our local curry house who we are very loyal to we order atleast twice a month, we were told 1hr wait, which is standard for them only to phone them 1hr 10 mins into my wait time and was told my food was on its way! Complete lies!! I'm fuming at the point of 1hr 30 mins and still waiting for our food which is a 5 minute journey from our house. My family were so upset and hungry that I had to cook food something quick in the oven! Two hrs later!! We had our delivery to the door we said we are not accepting the curry as we ordered 2 hrs ago, There was no apology from them at all we told them to leave and closed the door! Saying we have never been so so upset with their service to loyal customers and being lied to in the process is what made me more angry. We will never be ordering again from karahi house in leatherhead Total disgrace!!! They have lost a valued customer in us Unfortunately !!

*update* (2024) feels like it has changed hands. Curry is now bland and mediocre. Three stars. Shame. *original review* (2020)Excellent takeaway. Recently moved into the area so on a mission to try all local restaurants(enthusiasm somewhat dampened by Covid restrictions) Had both the Shashlick chicken and the Chicken Tikka Korai and both were excellent and full of flavour. We have tried the other Indian, but their curries are quite bland (won’t mention names). Definitely get a take-away from Karahi again (maybe try something hotter like a Dansak).

Really disappointing tonight! We ordered Takeaway from here as its usually so nice and we hadn't had it in a while so we wanted a treat but it wasn't at all like the food we've usually had...king prawn pathia was bland and luke warm only good thing was the quantity of prawns, there was lots. My partners chicken tikka masala didn't taste at all like it usually does, was very tomatoie and bitter rather than sweet. Lemon rice didn't taste of lemon at all. Naan was decent but was smaller than usual, best part was the saag paneer which was yummy. Disappointing for the price we paid, nearly £50!

One hour and forty-five minutes to deliver an order they said would take forty-five minutes to an hour. Add on top that the guy on the phone lied to me, telling me they had two drivers on it when the lone driver just told me he's been rushing around alone all night. Such a disrespectful way to treat customers. Throwing in a few poppadoms in no way mitigates it. Spend your money somewhere they have care for their customers. Quick edit to say that in fairness, the food tasted good. Not good enough to outweigh the disappointing service though.

Every curry tasted the same the vindaloo, madras and Ceylon. No coconut flavouring at all. lack of Keema in naan. All rice tastless as was the 'bombay' potato. Never ordering again £62 gone to waste

I have takeaways from Karahi house regularly. Last night I ordered online & paid but then realised I had incorrectly ordered additional set meal for one. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier and more helpful in rectifying my error. Food excellent as always. Karahi is best Indian takeaway in Bookham/Leatherhead area.

Ordered a takeaway had to wait a while but so worth it! Delicious curry freshly cooked definitely recommend.

First time ordering tonight and although the food was slightly delayed, it was well worth the wait. Food was spot on, very tasty, cooked well and fresh. Will definitely order again, thank you all.
