The worst chai latte in my life. It was spicy and not sweet at all, just bitter and spicy as if I was drinking pure turmeric spice. Small cup for £3.80 and I had to throw it in the bin because I could not finish the drink they made whatever it was.

A great little coffee shop with fun and friendly people making amazing food and coffee! It’s our home away from home when in town! Have the mushroom toast - amazing!

Coffee & matcha is really good. However, I think the chef needs a few tips on being health and hygiene. The chef put the full spatula in his mouth in-front of the whole cafe (they have an open kitchen) and carried on using it for the food!. We then saw him again at the back of the cafe (we was sat in the garden) and he was eating/licking food with the spatula that he was clearly cooking with. I was going to order food here but after seeing this I was definitely put off.

Badly needed coffee and cake last Saturday afternoon in a cold Richmond. Happened upon Kapucin and received satisfaction! POSITIVES Absolutely superb carrot cake - perhaps the best I've ever eaten. Pretty good coffee. Very good spinach and ricotta pastry. Pleasant, efficient service. NEGATIVES Not exactly wild about the prices. VERDICT I'd go back in a heartbeat for the carrot cake.

I thought I'd try their magic bag from too good to go. I've never felt so uncomfortable picking a bag up! The guy serving me was so hostile and uninterested. I even tried to make small talk but he was having none of it, just plain rude! As for the bag it was OK nothing special and I've been put off going here again.

Love this little coffee bar on the side of Hill Rise. The service is great and the food cooked freshly in front of you. We had excellent Poached eggs on sourdough and scrambled eggs and tomato on sourdough. This was accompanied by perfect coffee. Cakes looked good but we were too full !

I live in Kew and have tried coffee in every cafe/restaurant in all Richmond and Kew. By far the very best coffee, tea, hot chocolate and service is Kapucin. Vlad, Jean and the team pour so much love, care and research into everything they mane and serve. The coffee is careful blended, never burnt and always just perfect. I travel from Kew every day purposely you get my coffee from Kapucin. If you love coffee don’t go anywhere other than Kapucin. You will never be disappointed. The best! Please open in Kew Village. Me and my wife stopped in Richmond on the way back from an appointment and popped in for a coffee to get out of the cold. What a lovely spot, nicely furnished, relaxing, good music and nice art. But most importantly the coffee and cakes were really tasty. We spent a good 30 minutes just relaxing and enjoying some time inside before braving the cold again! If we happen to be in Richmond again, we would use again.

What can I say? Four of us popped into this quirky café desperate for a coffee, and ended up staying for the most mouth-watering breakfast. With warm, friendly and seriously cool staff, we were welcomed into this chilled oasis and given the utmost attention. The ingredients were fresh and the Shakshuka was the best I've ever tasted - I implore you to try it. What an incredible find - thank you to the staff for making what could have been an ordinary breakfast experience into a wonderful start to our day in Richmond.

After a delightfully unique Ethiopian V60—which despite being distant to the juicy fruitness, I search for as a personal preference—was still a wonderfully brewed, clear and vibrant cup; I then received with out a doubt: the smoothest most elegantly silky espresso I have ever had pass my tongue, bereft with crystalline notes of hazelnut and salted caramel. As I stated before, I take preference to the fruitier side of coffee, but these were two exceptional coffees, brewed by an accommodating and clearly passionate team. Kapucin is certainly a coffeeshop to visit.

Happened upon this lovely quirky little coffee shop by accident and loved it. The staff were brilliant, prompt, attentive and very friendly. They were very busy but still found room for 6 of us. We had fab cups of tea with little timers to get the stength of our tea just perfect (loved that) and the coffee was great with the extra touch of a good barista. The food was also amazing with the chef even telling us where the produce was from. Highly recommended.

Dropped by mid week for a coffee and a sandwich. It has been open only three months and fully independent. The staff including the short haired Italian man are very welcoming. You can tell they love what they do which makes for a great welcoming vibe. The bread here is top notch which is available to buy. I had the speck/ salad sandwich also the avocado, mozzarella & pesto with pesto. The coffee was excellent as the sandwich. The malt sourdough bread had bags of flavour too. Returning here is not a tough choice to make. People watching sat outside a bonus.

I am a regular in this beautiful coffee shop. The relaxed jazzy vibe is perfect for enjoying a coffee or lunch. Their baked goods come from a bakery baked by a Michelin-star chef. The pastries, quiches and sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The staff are always friendly and make sure your coffee always comes with a carafe of water.

We arrived late afternoon before the Saturday rush. Very friendly staff prepping for post 2nd lockdown service. They still had time to chat about recent struggles but were very positive about the future. This is the first meal here for me although the morning coffee is excellent. We ordered a pizza each and a bottle of very good house red syrah. I could see the kitchen chef rolling and cutting dough in front of the gas pizza oven. The pizza has lovely toppings, were as thin as you could make and very tasty. With an extra large wine and Calypso coffee the bill came to £53. A reasonable price for friendly staff, a nice vibe and good food.

We come to Richmond about once a year & found this restaurant on our last trip. Loved it so much we returned & it did not disappoint. We both had seafood pasta, mine was with a tomato based sauce with hint of chilli, & husband's was creamy. They were both superb. Accompanied by a lovely bottle of Italian white wine it went down a treat. We shared the passion fruit cheesecake for dessert as I remembered how large it was ! Overall a great meal out & very reasonable price.

The food was classic Italian though not in an old fashioned way. All dishes were attractively presented and most importantly everything was cooked just right. Service was great and we had the good fortune of a table with a view over Bushey Park which was magical. Service was excellent.
