Kanteen in Hammersmith and Fulham

Simple menu with good choice of set options, well prepared and nice selection of wines to accompany.

Lovely bar placed kanteen, perfect for meeting and greeting :-) breakfast can be served here alongside the usual sit down restaurant within the hotel also.

I liked the staff,.the service and the style. The prices of our hamburgers was embarrassingly high. I wouldn't eat there again.

Had full "English." Was surprised that the potato was just a wedge like those served at a fast food place.

Muy bueno en la presentación y todas las comidas vi sirve eran muy agradables. Mis norafricano cous_nup israelíes y plato de cordero era excelente pera de 16 libras y uno de mis favoritos, queso y salchichas picantes strated azul en el cohete era fresco y encantador £7. Buena comida, buen servicio - no es muy acogedor y romántico como el nombre dice ... como un escanda cantina con un K de campo.La comida estaba bien preparado y presentación excelente.queso de macarrones como un plato de acompañamiento estaba Mmmm . Tuve el salmón y estaba delicioso.

Vine a este restaurante con mi novia en el 28/08/2014 y fue fantástico!Al principio, cuando llegamos al hotel, nadie vino a saludarnos y dirigirnos al restaurante pero nos encontramos el camino. Cuando llegamos, la gente era muy agradable y el servicio fue bastante rápido. La comida no tomar un tiempo para estar preparados, pero merece la pena! Mientras mi novia tenía el bistec, fui con las chuletas de cerdo que estaban deliciosos especialmente con una botella de red en el lado.Durante la cena, el personal que repetidamente para asegurarse de que todo estaba genial, me encanta esta atención de nivel para el cliente ya que me hizo sentir que era de agradecer. Al final, nos lo pasamos de maravilla, la comida fue estupendo y el servicio fue estupendo.El único inconveniente es el restaurante estaba en la parte de arriba del bar, así que el nivel de ruido era muy alto durante la cena en el bar llena. Creo que es fantástico que el bar vende muy bien sobre todo de lo que yo vi, parece tener un gran ambiente pero recomiendo no para construir el restaurante justo encima de ella. Especialmente ya que intentamos ignorar el alto nivel de ruido y a veces no podía ...Al final, fue un todavía un buen rato!

I spent the day at the spa here with three friends, and we had lunch in Kanteen, which was lovely. We were relieved to see other guests had come here in their robes and flipflops, just as we had done!The atmosphere was relaxing and the food was great. I had the chicken burger which was huge, and the sweet potato fries were delicious.Service was prompt and the staff were polite and courteous.They weren't able to split the bill the way we wanted which was a little odd (they could only split it into equal parts and my friend had wanted to treat us to a bottle of wine, so this wasn't possible unless we all paid cash) but this wasn't a huge deal.

The servers seem like they're over-prepared, over-rehearsed and scared they will be fired. They are nice, but that's the feeling I get.

Every selection on the menu was a delight! My favorite was the pork belly roast! Yummy!! They also have great Vegan and health consensus selections

Had a great prawn green curry and bread selection very good. Drink prices very high ... But it is London I suppose.

The staff were great, really quick, and smiling and generally very good. The food was delicious, beautifully and cheerfully served. A happy buzz and good atmosphere throughout.

We enjoyed the Kanteen because of its Friendly Service and Warm, welcoming atmosphere. It was Well decorated & lit. There was an Extensive menu, the food arrived in great time and tasted amazing - cooked to perfection!

Stayed at this hotel for Two nights and breakfast was included. We found the food excellent and all freshly cooked. The staff very friendly and helpful.

This is the in house restaurant at the K West Hotel near Olympia. Not large with well spaced tables, nice linen and glasses and a reasonably interesting menu. However even eating early, about 7pm on a Friday, the noise from the downstairs bar was so loud that even after requesting the music to be turned down, we almost left. It remained loud and not in the least restful.We both had two courses from a good choice; grilled goats cheese on chicory salad with walnuts, and marinated squid with grilled chorizo and tomato and rocket. Both reasonable size and quite tasty but the dressing tasted like it came out of a bottle.We both had slow cooked belly pork with dauphinoise potato and green beans. Beans well cooked with some crunch left and plenty of garlic in the potatoes but not much cream. The pork was a good size rectangular slab; tender but although the crackling looked good, it was not crisp and was hard to cut. The red wine jus smelled more like Bovril but was OK.Pleasant service, not bad value and reasonable food. Unfortunately spoiled by the loud, unpleasant music.

Loved the 1st class waiter service and the food. Had pasta with goats cheese, squash, pine nuts and pesto which was delicious and followed it with pear in mulled wine with shortbread and cream YUM!

I was looking for some quintessential "British" food as well as someplace close to the excellent Everyman Cinema. After some searching I found myself at Kanteen. In the end I went twice. The first time I tried the bangers and mash, to sate that urge for classic pub food. The sausages were tender with crispy outsides, topped with caramelized onions, on smooth mashed potatoes. All quite good, but a bit bland. The side of greens that I added was disappointing -- cooked perfectly but rather tasteless.The next time I went I splurged for the daily roast, which was pork with roast potatoes, greens, and gravy. This was a very different experience. I'm not a huge fan of pork roasts, but this was amazing and left me wanting more. The vegetables were likewise perfectly cooked and savoury. I'm not sure why the experiences were so different -- maybe different chefs? But just based on the second dinner I'd recommend giving Kanteen a try.Also, places in this area tend to be busy, but Kanteen had empty tables. The restaurant is large, so it feels quiet and serene compared to other local spots. Rather nice for a break.

Try the Eggs Florentine or scrambled egg and smoked salmon - delicious!

She recommended the sheppard's pie, which we loved. The tomato soup was tasty but the apple pie with custard was so delicious. All these dishes are a must eat. I wish I could be eating same again.

Nuce burger and tasty gin and tonic!!! The food was really reasonably priced 40.00 for the 2 of us!!

Good British food served in a basic style - Pie and mash and chicken and chips were the choices of our team and all agreed afterwards that food was good but not outstanding. If you just want decent food without any frills try this place.

We have eaten a few times at the Kanteen (over a number of years) and the menu has always been the same.I had fish and chips and it was of average quality. It all appeared to have been previously frozen - although I can't say honestly this is the truth - I can say that is how it appeared to me. My mum had pad thai noodles and they looked nice but again I think they were fairly average. If you are staying the hotel and can not be bothered (as we can't) to get out and find a restaurant, then the food will be fine for you.However, if you are looking for a fanastic meal and wonderful atomsphere - then this isn't the restaurant for you.

We were staying at the hotel and decided to eat in. Lovely service, mixed menu, thai, english, sandwiches and burger, risottos and steak. I had the Thai green curry, gorgeous. My husband had the tiger prawns. Reasonably priced and convenient.

Despite booking a table for lunch at 12 noon, the restaurant was not prepared for us and were surprised to see us! We were the only customers and the staff were busy preparing a buffet for some kind of event, so we were let down by lack of service.We had to ask twice for water and the starter was very slow in arriving considering we were the only customers.I had the "home made" chicken and noodle soup to start, unfortunately it was just tinned veg, packet chicken and stock thrown together - tasteless and unappetising. My husband however had the tomato and basil soup which was lovely. We both opted for burgers for our main course and these were beautifully cooked, although the chips were slightly burnt. We have eaten in this restaurant before and had a lovely meal on each occasion so this was a disappointment.
