The place itself is quite nice, food is good and well presented. But hiring people that can barely speak/understand English or without training on etiquette...is not the best idea. They have to compete against quite strong, famous and excellent Italian restaurants in the area. They should at least lower the prices. £5 for a bruschetta [one slice only] is ridiculous. I might be back, but only my main option in Fulham is full/closed.. It is quite a pity, staff is very friendly, but the language barrier can be really annoying.

We had a really pleasant evening here. The food was very tasty with generous portions, and much more varied than pizza and pasta. Don't let their slightly dated menu and small setting put you off it's well worth a visit for a quick bite or a long date. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The only bit of feedback I could give would be to shut the front door! The street noise was a little intrusive but a very minor issue. Over all, a lovely place with a nice atmosphere and very reasonably priced, £60 for two inc. wine and shared starters and dessert.

Our son gave us as a gift a voucher for a meal in a restaurant. This came with a book with dozens of restaurants in London to choose from. We narrowed our selection down and made a reservation with Cafe Rialto for a meal to celebrate a significant anniversary. This proved to be the perfect choice - an unpretentious Italian restaurant with a clientele who clearly know it well and eat there often. The main courses were excellent and the ice creams - a specialty - were simply magnificent, a culinary expedition of delightful surprises. The waitress was helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the laid-back ambience. Although Fulham is not particularly local for us, we will certainly make a return visit.

We have loved Rialto since our first visit 2 years ago and it is still on our favourite restaurants list. The new menu offers a wide range of choices. We went for breaded mushrooms as a starter and then had a portion of linguine fantasia as middle course. For the main I found the steak to be tender, perfectly cooked, while my companion really enjoyed the red mussels in wine sauce. The food was fresh and delicious and their house wine is of very good quality. Nice, relaxed atmosphere, with candles, dim lights and slow music. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cafe Rialto is one of our favourite places to dine in. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing and the staff are very friendly. Our little girls love this place too, preferring the roasted seabass and fusilli fantasia over the children's menu. We usually go for the seafood sharing platter for starter. I would recommend the lamb shank with vegetables and mash potatoes, My wife loves the salmon tagliatelle. The pizzas are truly delicious, with very thin base and just the right amount of toppings. We've been to Italy and have dined out many times and we can honestly say that this restaurant is truly authentic. The lunchtime deals are fantastic.I would like to add that this place is great for small parties too! We celebrated one of our daughter’s 3rd birthday here and had a great time. The kids loved the pizzas and pastas (healthier and tastier than the well-known takeaway pizzas) and the adults enjoyed their meals too.

I visit Rialto on a very regular basis most weeks and sometimes more often and just love it! I am an Italian now living in Fulham and I find the food magnificent. I regularly go to Italy so have not forgotten what Italian food does and should taste like. The pasta is always cooked al dente! Lasagne prepared and cooked the way it should be. The pizzas superbly thin, with a good selection of toppings, the staff always accommodating and friendly, most of them Italian speakers. The prices are very competitive indeed!Half price steak Wednesday is an absolute treat, the Sea bass divine, their home made ice creams an absolute must. Most Italian restaurants in the UK find making a decent espresso a virtually impossible task, I usually end up with a cup of weak totally undrinkable dish water totally spoiling my meal!!Rialto's coffee hits the spot every time! As though just for that moment, I had been beamed up back to my beloved local Italian Bar! Fantastic coffee every time. For something different try the affogato (espresso with a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream) absolutely delicious! For many years II used to go to several local Italian restaurants paying exorbitant prices, now I only go to Rialto who does not take advantage if its customers and also offers a discount with a free a loyalty card, as well as special discounts depending on the time on day you dine! For this reason I go back time after time, never ceasing to be surprised by the good quality of their food.It would not surprise me if the other negative reports on this site had been written by their Italian competitors who, do not quite come up to the standard of Rialto but are now becoming increasingly aware and nervous perhaps, that people are voting with their feet as they discover Rialto and all it has to offer, more and more people like myself, tired of being to ripped off by those other, so called Italian restaurants. Try it for yourselves, you will not be disappointed!

The price does worth the quality and the menù, as it's quite cheap because of the few choises and the low creativity they have. Pasta was just... Pasta, Nothing special, something I can cook by myself at home.. When I'm in the mood maybe better than that one! The didnt have lots of wine and more over they have Not been able to suggest me anything about it, as I'm not a knowleger of wine, I just needed their help.. Nothing to do with it! I made the massive mistake of dining at Cafe Rialto last night; and, from the start it was an unmitigated disaster. The waitress hardly seemed to speak English, which didn't matter that much as she made no attempt to converse, but it certainly did matter when I had to give my order (mussels) three times before she understood what I was ordering. Although even then she seemed confused (the confusion and language barrier persisted throughout the meal, at a later point I asked for another glass for our water and received a diet coke)- that should have been my first tip that this was not going to be an even alright culinary experience. My boyfriend ordered pepperoni pizza, which (to be fair) she did understand immediately. After a not inconsiderable wait (particularly when keeping in mind the quality of what arrived) our food arrived. It was horrific. My mussels were so over cooked they were black and even the garlic bread that arrived was horrible. I was so hungry however that I ate it all, something which proved to be yet another bad decision; as, immediately upon returning home I was promptly violently ill. My boyfriend's pizza was bland beyond description. The cheese was watery and tasteless and the base was like cardboard. It was, without a doubt, the worst pizza either or us had ever tried; and, I'm not just including restaurants in that comment- any supermarket frozen pizza would be better. I would never come back here again and my only recommendation would be that nobody else try it, it's not worth the risk. Between the horrible service, horrible food and the food poisoning you would be better off going somewhere else or just picking up a frozen meal from the Tescos across the street.

I am really disappointed. Worst dinner I had so far in London. The waitress got our orders completely wrong: I wanted a medium rare steak, and she brought me a medium well done one. I know it because this was written later on the check (medium well done? what is that?). My husband ordered a small glass of wine, and she brought a big one. Not to mention it tasted horrible (and it was supposed to be a Montepulciano, which is usually a nice wine), and it was almost 6 pound. I have ordered a glass of Pimm's and she brought me half a glass of Pimm's. Literally. So I said, I think it should come at least with Lemonade. And she brought me a lemon. So I said it again, and at the end she managed to bring out something decent (although totally not worth it the 6.50 pound we paid). We also ordered some olives for starter, but they were spicy (I don't see why you should bring spicy food when it is not specified on the menu). We paid 37 pound, for 2 steaks, a starter, some bread, olives, the wine and the Pimm's. Ridiculous. Not going back.

The soup portion was massive and they also brought out bread/butter to accompoany the soup. The pizzas were also very good. All in all, it was a great experience with great service. We had a good opinion of this place having gone there several times over the summer. Affordable with a mix of pasta, pizza and breakfast choices on the menu as well as a kids' menu. I don't know if the management has changed but we didn't recognize any of the staff. Though we had a toddler with us, we weren't seved our main courses until 50 minutes after we were seated. The restaurant was not full yet we counted 3 tables who came after us, including one other family with small children, and were served before us. We figured they had forgotten the rest of our order (which included an omelet -seriously how long does that take?) so we kept trying to catch the staff's eye (the manager and two waitresses) but they were busy hiding behind the bar and would stare blankly back in pure apathy. Finally, one of us went to ask what was going on with our order and it was clear they had forgotten us, though they didn't admit it. THEN, the kicker. Husband, while muncing on his pizza, audibly found something in it with his teeth! Ack! And it gets worse, we were hoping it was sand or bone or something but it was a ROCK. A black piece of gravel. I took it to the manager who couldn't explain it. He did not apologize but after a nudge, magnanimously took the pizza off our bill!!! We grudgingly paid for the rest of it, but wow, never again. I have never had that happen to me in the developed world. I am still nauseated by the memory of gravel in pizza, am completely mystified by the staff's attitude and saddened by the change in this restaurant's quality. AVOID. Unless you have dental insurance.

Visited this store on a Friday evening with the family after convincing the families to take the 40 mins drive down to wafflemeister rather than visiting another “creams” or “treatz” Got to the place at 9:15pm and was refused service as they said they were closed! I kindly explained to them that their own website says 10pm for pretty much all their stores in London and they was told by the lady that they close at 9pm and spend the hour cleaning. Very disappointed in the service and extremely disappointed in not being able to get waffles for the family! Definitely lost out on some cash and some loyal customers!
