If you are in the heathrow area you can't go wrong with Kaniz. We visited as a group midweek and I returned this evening. The food and service was superb on both visits. Lovely people.

Good food, tasty, but very spicy

A very warm welcome followed by impeccable service and delicious food, all round. The daal was a tasty highlight! Highly recommend.

Fabulous food at a great price - fresh, flavourful and delicious! Service was also very friendly and helpful. I recommend the lamb chop tandoori especially.

This restaurant is nice, clean and tidy. Staff were very attentive and looked after us as soon as we entered the restaurant. Food portions were generous and the food came out hot and fresh. The chicken tasted a little dry but overall this did not affect the quality of the food. Everyone in the party commented on the quality and taste. Would definitely recommend

The overall experience was at an extremely mid level. If you’re Caucasian you’ll have a great time because the servers there will completely change their tone and approach when serving you. If you are a person of color, I do not recommend. From the moment we walked in to the minute we walked out, we had very poor service. The food cost was quite a bit for not a big enough portion size. Food taste was okay, could be better. Overall, would not visit again. The one female server there definitely needs to have her attitude reassessed.

Menu has a wide variety of choices but I wasn't too crazy about the food. It was a convenient place to go within walking distance from the nearby hotels and I will probably go back for a quick meal. I didn't like the samosa but the poppadoms had a very good selection of dips. The naan bread was great. Price is good, service was attentive.

I usually judge an Indian restaurant by its rotis. These were light and crispy. But the rest of the food was also beautifully cooked, and well-presented. Cauliflower bhaji just tender and really tasty dahl. Able to make vegan. I don't live locally, but if I did, I would be a regular here.

Biryani has no flavour , yellow oil rice mixed with some tasteless meat , chilli chicken had no spice in it and should get named as sweet chicken , one inch oil at the base , never ordering again

Lovely restaurant fast service and the staff are very welcoming. I really enjoyed my meal that I visited twice. Vegetarian food was delicious, served warm, and the portion size was perfect.

this one has to be one of the best "authentic indian restaurants" Most of the indian restaurants feature a Moghul menu which is not what the people eat on a daily basis but based on the royal court of the Moghuls and owned and operated by Bangladeshis from just two districts in their country, Sylhet and one other The service and atmosphere is excellent. Wonderful oooks from the home country excelling in each and every dish. I always order Lamb Karahi and it never disappoints me and no other lamb karahi in the so called indian restaurants in usa comes anywhere near . worth a trip to london

I felt family environment in kaniz being in UK. The service and food is exceptionally good. Nepalese cuisine are also serve here for Nepalese people.

There's not much to do around the Sheraton Heathrow hotel, but luckely there is Kaniz within walking distance. A wide variety on the menu, but I went for the chicken vandaloo. Very tasty, but not that spicy. Friendly service. The food is worth his money.

Thank you to all the people that have eaten at Kaniz and gave it the great reviews on Tripadvisor. This was my first time eating at an Indian restaurant and I just loved it. The food was just perfect. It was so good. It will not be my last. The waitress was so attentive and helpful. The restaurant itself was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. It is great for couples wanting a romantic night out or friends just wanting a beautiful place with great food. James and I would go back here in a heartbeat, but sadly we are off on our cruise tomorrow morning. Don't miss the papadam with the tray of dipping sauces. The mango chutney mixed with the coconut were killer. So good I added both to the salad. This restaurant let us start our holiday on a very high note. Thank you to our wonderful waitress and the manger for the attention and great service.

The atmosphere was good, really clean and modern. The taste of food was great, delicious flavours. Unfortunately the quantity was awful. I ordered lamb chops and lamb curry with garlic. I was gobsmacked when food arrived!! 2 lamb chops for £6.95!! I thought I had a taster plate lol! The lamb curry (£12.99) was just as bad!!! It was all sauce with very little meat!! Not worth the price!!!!

Popped in while on holiday. Portion size is plentiful, they certainly don't skimp on the amount of meat in the curries, plus the meat is so tender. Staff were attentive without being too much. Prices are reasonable too. Will be back next time in the area

SIMPLY AWFUL! The female manager needs to learn some customer service skill fast! Rude, abrupt & condescending. THE FOOD IS BEYOND TERRIBLE! One of our party actually went outside to be SICK! Others had upset stomachs by the time they got home. My food was full of grit possibly from where the prawns hadn’t been washed. Limited flavour variance between multiple dishes, all with far too much sugar. The best bit about this place was the papadums, which lets be honest, are mostly out of packet & pots. I genuinely can’t stress how bad this place is & can only assume any positive reviews are from personal friends & family of the owners.

We didn’t eat there but had a delivery by Uber eats. Three curries filled with oil. I had to drain out massive fat floating on top. Egg plants were half cooked. Breads - Garlic Naan, Laccha paratha was a pure disgrace. Plain DOUGH, was thrown in some oven and fire went out. The only saving grace was Chapati. It was so late that we could not throw and got any other food. The breads will make your glycemic index shoot up and if that wasn’t enough extra fat would surely give you high BP. I won’t go near this place. Would prefer to eat kids make me fake naans from PLAY DOUGH.

I was politely greeted at the door and was seated straight away. The restaurant was smart and tastefully decorated with music at the perfect level. I was then offered a drink and then the menu. All this was done in a relaxed way and in no way did I feel rushed to choose my meal. I opted for the Chicken Tikka starter which came on a sizzling platter and was surrounded by onion. Both were perfectly cooked to perfection and the flavours were balanced and totally delicious. This was also served with a generous fresh side salad. There was a 15 minute pause until my main course arrived which was the Chicken Byriani and this came with the traditional sauce. I also ordered a garlic naan which is the best one I’ve had outside of India. The cicken byriani was beautifully presented and was cooked again to perfection with beautiful flavours running throughout the dish. To sum up I would eat here regularly if I lived locally as the service was second to none and the food is amazing. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and shall be visiting it again soon. Thank you

Stopped over as flying from Heathrow tommorow. Just wanted to say amazing fresh food, had poppadoms and dips, prawn puree, nan, rice and fish massala. All the food was excellent. Reasonably priced and only a 5 minute walk from Thistle Hotel. I can highly recommend Kaniz restaurant

The food was delicious and very fast delivery. Vegetarian okra dish & momos were light, nutritious and tasty. Garlic naan is light and not heavy like others from elsewhere. Best Indian and Nepalese I have had in a long time. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere clean and relaxing… no rush to finish the meal.

Absolutely delightful. We are from Philadelphia and used to great Indian food. This did not disappoint in the least. Best naan I have ever had. Chicken saag and lamb Roganjosh fresh and full of flavor. Ask for more spice if it is desired. Pretty decor, crisp linens, full bar. Azad was our server, he was fabulous. Highly highly recommend.

As an Australian couple on an 3 month European/UK holiday adventure , we craved an Indian meal after 8 weeks in Europe. This Restaurant, so near Heathrow Airport , was an unexpected treasure and exceeded all of our expectations. Staying at the Hyatt Place Hotel near Heathrow Airport, the Hotel staff recommended a restaurant about 500 metres from the hotel foyer. This was Kaniz Indian Restaurant . My wife and I ordered Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Rogan Josh, Raita, Basmati Rice , Plain Naan Bread. All were superb as were the French Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.. The service was exceptional. Azad the manager, was very personable and provided great advice on the meals and the wines. His very capable assistant Rashid was also very professional in her approach. They helped make the meal a really enjoyable experience in a most unlikely location located so lose to the Heathrow complex. We are returning to London on the last night of our holidays in mid June and we will be returning to Kaniz for another , special, Indian meal . You should visit this restaurant if in the Heathrow vicinity, or staying at one of the airport Hotels. You will not be disappointed.

These were my previous comments. Edited slightly. I deliberately stay at the Hyatt at LHR just so I can eat at this restaurant. Worth it. Price $79. This is about taste not heat. They will make it as spicy as you want. 6 choices of dressing for popadoms, for me all great. One on the spicy side but for me not excessively so 2 vegetarian starters full of taste 2 main courses Korma and Bhuna Tikka. Both perfection and served with vegetable rice and nan bread 1 wine and a large beer. This is fine dining for only $70 and worth every penny. For the beginner or spicy food lover this is a must visit. You will not be disappointed

Although the toilet did not thank me for this food, my stomach sure did. Holy moly the food was so damn good. Came here at like 9:30 PM there were 0 people in the entire restaurant. The food came out in reasonable time, perhaps slightly slow. I'd like to start with the food. The naan was so bussin. I would def recommend getting the garlic naan. I got some lamb dish that was also bussin. The chicken biryani was my favorite- they must put crack in it with how good it is. The food was wonderful. One complaint that I have: the restroom. It was less than clean. There were stains on the toilet and it looked simply unkempt. It just begs the question: why is this restaurant in the most personality-less place in the entire world?

Unfortunately being of Pakistani heritage. I had high hopes but was very disappointed indeed. Nothing was authentic about this restaurant... no staff were Indian, the food was not even close to tasting like desi food. Assume palatable for those who don't know better. I asked if the Biryani was authentic and was told it is, but left 80% on the plate. Such a downer ... would not recommend to anyone expecting a genuine Indian/Pakistani cuisine. Not once were we asked how the food was as I'd have happily given honest feedback. What a shame 😔

Heard about this place from my friend and decided to visit it on my birthday. The staff were rude they would even bother to greet properly. The man clearly doesn’t know anything about hospitality. And the lady is no good. He mad e me order all the food together. I’m a person who doesn’t like wasting food and I order accordingly as we go along. But the guy made me order everything together and said that it was not possible to order like that. The man has no smile on his face and clearly doesn’t know how to talk to the customers. The butter chicken was too sweet and didn’t taste like anything close to it. I’ve got a lot of Indian friends, and I’ve been to India many time and I can assure Indian cuisine tastes nothing like what they serve.

We dined here last year while staying locally before a flight the next morning. This year we were staying further away, so tried a couple of places we found in Trip Advisor that were closer, but both were either take-away only or dirty, so we decided to drive back to Kaniz. It was a very good decision. Food was reliably excellent and highly recommended. The owner was very friendly and even helped us find a better spot to park our rental car. If you are staying near Heathrow and want a really nice Indian meal before you leave the UK, you won’t go wrong with Kaniz.

Five star rated kitchen and food. Good ambiance. Very carefully cooked as they serve all major airline executives and crews. The tandoori chicken was spot on. Very juicy and succulent lamb chops.

Staying at the local Premier Inn for the night, we wanted an inexpensive but good quality meal within walking distance. Kaniz ticked both boxes. Initially opting to take away, we browsed the menu and made a selection, only to find that the set menu was no longer available. After a few minutes making a choice, it was a little frustrating. Crossing through removed menu items would take only a few seconds and save a good amount of time in the ordering process. We then decided to eat in and selected alternative meals from the menu - although this menu too continued to offer the set menu. Of the two restaurant staff visible, one (a female) was accommodating, keen to make recommendations from the menu and knowledgable about the dishes on offer. The other (a gentleman) was a little less hospitable - and perhaps a little on the surly side. Despite being very average from a service point of view, the food was very good. The mixed grill, selection of poppadoms and accompaniments, and naan bread were all lovely. Going back to service though, one of my biggest restaurant bugbears is when you aren’t asked about the enjoyment of your meal whilst you are eating it. The restaurant wasn’t busy and staff weren’t rushed off of their feet. It should happen in every restaurant every time. Maybe an oversight, maybe the restaurant just didn’t care. But something so small can make the world of difference to a customer. But on the whole, we were pleased, and will likely return in the future.

As part of a large table of people I was very pleased with all aspects of Kaniz - the restaurant was very clean and well presented, staff attentive with excellent service, food arrived quite promptly and was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. I will definitely come here again - recommended!
