Called in for takeaway when staying at LSE High Holborn just around the corner. I ordered the kimchi jjigae, which came with a generous side of rice and was absolutely delicious. Quick service (even though restaurant was busy), friendly staff and excellent value for money! Noted the welcoming atmosphere (busy yet intimate) and hope to eat in next time I visit.

fabulous starter of fried chicken, but a very disappointing bento box main. food was cold and nothing stood out as better than anywhere else. water was served in an ugly plastic bottle -- the place could use a touch of finessing.

I stayed in the Travel Lodge on Drury Lane. On Saturday evening I noticed a line of young Koreans queuing on the street to get a table in Kangnam Pocha on Drury Lane. I sensed this must be a good place to try some authentic Korean food. On Easter Sunday I popped in at lunch. I had a wonderful meal. I had the bibimbap with chicken and some pork dumplings. What a flavoursome & delicious meal. The staff & manager were so friendly and very helpful. I’d describe the interior as having a grungy vibe but hey I’m in my 40’s🤣. I thought the food was excellent and I really enjoyed my meal. I would happily go back again and very reasonably priced. Thanks to the manager who kindly offered me her phone when I found myself in need. It was very much appreciated. Denise🇨🇮

Called for take out meal while staying at Travelodge just across the road. The guy who served us was really lovely and very accommodating. We ordered the beef bulgogi & jjajangmyeon and both dishes were out of this world. To top it all there was a lovely note in the bag wishing my daughter well & two free korean drinks. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back when we are next in London.

Food was excellent within reasonable price range. I’d recommend for anyone looking for traditional Korean food. There’s a bit of queue though so be prepared to wait. This being said I will definitely go back to this restaurant.

Drizzly night, restaurant just across the road from the hotel… so decided to give it a try. Warned, on Trip Advisor, that might have to queue. We did… but not for too long. If you’re looking for crisp tablecloths and napkins, ambient music and soft lighting… ignore the queue and walk on by. This a small, lively and fairly noisy café environment with tables pretty close together. The staff were friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and hard working. I particularly liked the manager/supervisor who directed his team with a smile and interacted with customers with charm, humour and humility. As mentioned, the staff are hard working and there are, clearly, some pretty high pressure periods of service so I was really impressed to observe and hear the supervisor talking to one staff member just outside the door as we left. He was telling the guy to take a few minutes outside, get some fresh air, wind down before coming back in… great and considerate management. Food… Oh, yes, that’s what we’re supposed to be here for! We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and a small bowl of rice. Seafood pancakes and dipping sauce excellent. Deep fried squid maybe a touch over done so a smidge chewy… easily done, happens in the best of places… but OK and with a good dipping sauce. Bulgogi main excellent… fears that beef might be a bit chewy wholly unfounded, succulent. Beware the Korean Fried Chicken 🙂. Portion sizes are 5 or 10 pieces with 3 or 4 sauce options. Chicken pieces would give the Colonel’s fowl an inferiority complex… large chunks, really crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. Beware? Well there’s a lot of meat in the 10 piece portion… not for the faint hearted but well worth the effort of eating it! Other diners were taking leftovers home… we left ours behind as nowhere to keep them in our hotel, shame. Not a fancy place (and maybe the better for that), great service, loads of yummy food and a couple nice of beers for £60 just 5 minutes walk from he centre of Covent Garden. So let me think… Yup certainly worth a visit despite the queue (although that could be part of the fun).

I'm a born& raised Korean so I can confirm this place is good. I ordered 2 dishes. It is just like what I eat in Korea and portion is generous. It has 2 floors including basement. Though it was almost full. The only shame is that kimchi soup was too salty. Some restaurants in Korea make kimchi soup too salty as well so often I add some water.😂 So it's not on kitchen but can be less salty per the owner's recipes. I do recommend this place.

Passed this place many times, always a line outside… thought will give it a try. Located on edge of Covent Garden, south of Bloomsbury (Drury Lane). There were no lines on this occasions due to tube and teachers’ strike) The inside of the place is grungy and tired, more of a student canteen than restaurant. Sat by the entrance and was ignored for a while till I finally waved down a waitress. Ordered squid bento box; 70% filled with rice and cold tasteless veg and a spoonful of excellent spicy stewed squid and a minuscule side of seaweed. Good value, if it were not for the size of main course. Need to spruce up the service for us invisible septo-generian gweilos.

One of the most authentic and legit Korean restaurants in London. My friends and I really enjoyed all the foods here and the staff was amazing! This place has a variety of Korean dishes but also vegetarian options too. If you want to try good Korean food or if you want to introduce Korean food to your friends, this is the place you should visit. There was a long queue but we didn’t wait much and I think only walk-in is available!

The queue for this restaurant tells you it’s worth it, and it was. Note that the queue continues the other side of the road! Service was efficient and food arrived quickly. Not disappointed by any of the dishes we chose. Freshly cooked and all delicious. We sat in the lower dining area and had a ‘call button’ which worked really well. A great meal out for a very reasonable bill. Thank you!

The best Korean food in central London, you can find reasonable prices here and the food is so authentic that it made me feel like I was back in Korea. Also, their service is great. I always come back here time and time again. I would love to recommend this place to everyone who wants to eat "real" Korean food as they do it just like in Korea. Their location is very close to covet garden and SOHO.

Stumbled across this restaurant having been unable to find a table in the area. We’re shown to a table quickly, however, only given one menu between 4 of us. The menu itself is somewhat confusing, whilst I appreciate English might not be their first language, it is quite difficult to understand the offers/deals that are on the menu. The bell system on the table was really efficient in getting the attention of the staff. Unfortunately the staff member was unable to recommend a dish from the menu, as we were willing to try a few things. However, disappointed we were not, the food was incredible! Best Korean food I have tried. Food was quickly served and the. I’ll was brought in a timely fashion, if they can improve the menu and their waiting staff skills, this would be a 5 star

A great adventure into the suburbs of London. Its located in what is fondly called “Korea town” and a good indication is the mostly Korean and Asian clientele. We ordered too much but it was all delicious. Loved the army stew, two kinds of Korean friend chicken as well as the small side dishes.

We walked in and exactly standing by the door for 5 minutes, all stuffs were just watching us and nobody came to us. At the end, I walked to them and asked if they accept walk-in, it seemed that one of them barely understood what I was talking; at the end she told me to go outside and waited for another 10mins. I felt so unhappy w such impolite and awkward experience.
