Kalamaki Street Greek in City of London, Westminster

On a day trip to Camden we were looking for lunch, in a building with lots of options we decided to eat at Street Greek. The menu was pretty good, the lady that serves us was lovely and friendly. I ordered a vegan kebab with spicy fries and my daughter just had some fries. The kebab was delicious, I didn’t realize it came with fries in it so double fries for me, no complaints. It was fairly priced, tasted great and I feel we made a good choice.

I found this spot for a quick bite before going to a West End show - the chicken pita wrap was not bad. It was prepared pretty quickly once I arrived and there is a nice counter facing the window to enjoy your meal.

Fast and friendly service with good food. Decor gave the place quite a bit of character that you’d almost wouldn’t think it was a chain.

I never write reviews but this terrible experience at Street Greek’s Wimbledon location warrants it. Had the privilege of having the absolute worst gyro and fries for £14 in my life today! Lamb was cold, chewy and to top it off, had hair in it. Utterly disgusting! During ordering, I asked the woman at the till whether the gyro comes with fries in it, she said no, so I ordered spicy fries to go with it. Order came to the table in under 3 mins. Turns out the gyro DID have lots of fries and was the most tasteless piece of crap I’d ever had to pay an extortionate amount of my hard-earned money for. Fries were just cheap frozen ones that had cold chilli powder chucked on top of them. Couldn’t eat even half of my lunch. Felt sick to my stomach. Left most of the food on the tray and quickly exited the restaurant. Rip off. Stay away!

Upper Street Islington Good quality food, except the quantity and quality of the lamb. Won't go back as its not worth it.

We had the halloumi souvlaki which was a tasty wrap, lovely sauce and lush halloumi! Unfortunately the chips were very bland within the wrap and there was quite a lot of them! It was lovely food but the chips could do with some more seasoning. I Would try something else from here if I was local as it was good portions for decent prices.

Enjoyed authentic Greek food on 2 occasions. very friendly and great value. They were happy to substitute some of the items for some that I preferred. Thank you.

I don’t usually lose my time on reviews but this one pissed me off so much. Worst gyros ever tasted in my life. Disgusting shop and horrible food. Vegan gyro full of chips and a small piece of haloumi, that’s it. Wouldn’t have paid £1 for this but ended paying £15 for this disgusting food. Stay away, has nothing to do with greek food.

The most disappointed Greek Gyros in London. There are plenty Greek places in North London and this is my least favourite. No flavour, dry & overcooked. Coming from a Greek person I can safely say that There is nothing Greek about Street Greek.

Excellent food and service. Lunchtime menu = great value for money. Doesn’t look much from the front but clean, spacious and welcoming inside. Will definitely return.

The food was not properly eatables and not how I have seen it on the picture. The meat was burnt and leftover just to be sell,same like the chicken gyros wrap,just a bit of meat after paying even for extra chicken into the wrap and so many pieces of chicken skin inside the wrap.Fries full of oil and no salad into the chicken and pork gyros wrap.

On ordering food told there was a ten minute wait as all food cooked fresh to order. That was not a problem but the 25 minutes was. Food is not worth the price 4 minute pieces of chicken and over cooked rice with a slaw which had seen better days. Won't be going back.

This place came highly recommended and to be fair, the food was nice. Not memorable, but nice. The small basement seating area was clean and had 3 tables, reasonably spaced apart. A pager type device alerted us when the food was ready. It took about 15 minutes for our food to arrive, which was hot but in polystyrene boxes and disposable cutlery. Toilets were clean (mind the wobbly seat!) and staff were pleasant enough. Tasty food but not a place for a romantic meal for two or a raucous stag party. Good if you’re hungry and like Greek food.

Was very excited when I spotted this place as I love Greek food however was very disappointed. We did not enjoy the food at all with the exception of croquettes. The gryos was very dry and not the best we've ever had, Popcorn halloumi and mac and cheese did not taste great at all. Don't even bother with buying the desserts as they were just as awful, being churros and mini cream pies. Most of the food I had to bin, completely wasted my money. On the plus side I cannot fault the service as the staff were very pleasant. Real shame about the food.

Verry oily.. ordered gyros online...French fires if you press them 5 drops of oil comes out.. so oily even the gyros full of oil.. no ways ordering again..

I order Greek wraps the food is cold but it came really fast so definitely everything is ready before , there’s no meat inside that’s the most disappointing when is that expensive Do NOT ORDER from that restaurant as you definitely have issues with quality...

Ordered take out and it was fresh, tasty and the delivery was very fast! The halloumi poppers were sooo tasty. I ate a lot of cheese and chips and I regret nothing!

The pitta used is authentic but the griller Cook is terrible, no matter what you say he always adds the fake tzatziki sauce which is garlic mayo and not real tzatziki which is youghurt with garlic and mint. Everything used by this place is cheap...

I have visited the place in several occasions and their souvlakis are superb! I have eaten them in Greece and their ones are as good as if you were there.

The workers were so friendly and helpful! Social distancing was done really well and they cleaned my table before and after I visited. The food was also lovely, good value and a nice change from the usual chains.

The food it’s always fresh and delicious! If you are looking for the famous Greek Gyros and more Greek delicacies you will taste them here! We highly recommended! Thank you Kalamaki Street for reminding us the pleasure of our home food!

Wow! We ordered from Bethnal Green and it was delivered hot and oh my goodness...it tasted incredible. The food was so authentic and I could've literally be next the beach in Greece. I would recommend 100% please give these guys a go!

Amazing food! So tasty and a great filling lunch. Even thought it can get busy at lunch time, you receive your order quickly. No complaints!

Love any Greeks anyway but we were in a hurry to get food before our train and luckily stumbled into this place... I say stumble in because it wasn’t obvious from outside but they do have seats downstairs so you can sit in and eat....

The food is always fresh, and the portions are decent for the price. The menu is diverse enough to have some variety, but not sprawling. Staff are friendly and welcoming, service is fast.

I went here for a quick bite after work. I wasn't expecting to have genuinely the nicest Greek wrap I've ever head. I had the haloumi wrap and it was perfect. Warm, nicely filled, great sauce and reasonably priced too. Perfection.

Ordered online through deliveroo to my office, must say very flavoursome and filling! Had the large box meal which consisted of two skewers of chicken, Greek salad, corn pita, spanakopita and a feta sauce and every single thing was delicious! Will definitely be ordering again!
