Poppadoms all over floor and empty and wen food was served mine was stone cold my missis was nice but overall never going back shame use to be relly nice there on and as specially the cooks shouting in kitchen swearing not happy

This place is banging, weather you order takeaway or go and eat in, its a lovely little restaurant family run, when eating in they really do look after you, we highly recommend paying them a visit, or give a takeaway ago, it's all delicious we've tried a few different dishes and it's not once let us down, five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We do not live in Manchester but visit quite often and have been to Kakoli before but this was the first time since refurbishment. Firstly I was impressed that, after I telephoned to book but my call could not be answered because it was outside of opening hours, they called me back within half an hour. The person speaking was very polite and welcoming. I was very glad that I had booked because it was almost full - it was a Friday evening. However, not long after, by 8.15, most people had left. Our order was taken and the food arrived at a perfect speed, not too fast but neither very slowly. The menu is comprehensive and, as they state, vegetarians and vegans are catered for. The chef is happy to adjust any dish to suit your requirements and the food was delicious and served hot. He came to speak to us to ensure that we were satisfied with our meal. His and the entire staff’s ethos is that the customer is important and they want everyone to have a good meal and an enjoyable evening. The restaurant itself is quite small but you do not feel squashed in and the decor is clean and bright. You can bring your own alcohol which means that you can have your favourite drink. The cost is very reasonable - far cheaper than we pay in Essex - perhaps I shouldn’t say that or the prices might rise! We had a lovely evening, will certainly be returning - as will our son who lives in Manchester - and recommend Kakoli highly.

I was happy with the majority of my order , my complaint is that I ordered lamb and received chicken. This is the second time this has happened 🤷🏼‍♀️

Love this place. It's a very traditional and authentic place, takes me back to the 90s in a good way! They adjusted my husbands dietary requirements with precision as he can't eat vegetable_sunflower oils so they only used Ghee at our request and checked regularly that my husband was okay. Lovely and very accommodating staff. Don't be afraid to ask if you require any adjustments!

My new favourite Indian restaurant in East Manchester. Ive had amazing food on every visit and the chef's take a personal interest in making food not on the menu which I find rare in Manchester. It's just a few meters from from the Edge Lane tram stop, so very easy to access. Note: You need to bring your own alcohol! For me that's a big plus as I can drink my favourite tipple with my favourite food without paying a premium price. You won't be disappointed this restaurant is what Indian food is about in East Manchester. 10/10

What a place over 30 years old ! A little gem set in Droyslden Tameside! Tram stop & bus stops if you don’t want to drive . This place has been updated & upgraded the staff have worked hard to make it relaxing atmosphere to eat in . The food is cooked to perfection Indian food is beautiful & well spiced and well plated these guys do all that ! Menu is very affordable & easy to follow click on their link get 20% off take away ! We ordered delivery from here for the first time last night. The food was amazing - the best curry we've had in a long time. The customer service was excellent too. What a hidden gem! We just didn't realise what an amazing place was within walking distance to us. We will be visiting the restaurant soon and Kakoli will be our go to for take -aways. Highly recommended.

I was invited down to check out there food and may I say it was the best food I have had in a long while the starter mixed platter for 2 ,was absolutely amazing lamb chops was to die for the chicken pakoras was the best I have tasted a real taste sensation. didn't like the asian style Donner brought it to try, tandoori ribs was lamb wasn't much meat on them was mostly fat, curries was lovely good flavour chips a chunky nice. all food come hot nothing was and nan bread was fresh.

I placed my order at 4:00 the restaurant opens at 5:00and i didnt recieve my food until 7:00

The curry I ordered was delicious as usual however the dynamite box wasn’t good the chips were anemic and not cooked properly the kebab meat was grim

Food was only just lukewarm which was surprising to say we live around 1 mile away. I’m also sorry to say the food (tandoori chicken main course) was not only, in my opinion, tasteless, bland & just tasted like plain cheap chicken. Food overpriced.

In the area for 1 night so decided to try this restaurant. Small, intimate restaurant that isn’t licensed, however they’re more than happy to let you bring your own alcohol for nothing. I have travelled up and down the country on Jalfrezi’s but have to say this Jalfrezi is one of the most tastiest I have ever tasted. Absolutely delicious. 3 of us in party and the other 2 also said their dishes were delicious. Well recommended 👍

We got a prawn puri/tandoori special/mixed grill platter/prawn jalfrezi all of which where hot and fresh. Full of flavour with a nice kick. Not too spicy for the kids but nice flavour for the adults to enjoy it to. Staff are very happy to take on any feedback and ways to improve since another family member has taken over the running of the business. Prices are reasonable too. Other than some feedback i had already provided staff we throroughly enjoyed our meal

Great food, try the salt & pepper chips, best ever

Already been back a few times since my last review and each time it keeps getting better. The restaurant has also taken on previous feedback and let us fully enjoy the meal, not taking away any dishes or plates until we were completely finished. We went on a busy Saturday evening and were not hurried, the service was spot on and they truly care for their customers, This is a bring your own alcohol restaurant and as such can get a bit lively with some of the customers but it’s a great atmosphere. Also great the music has now been turned down too so everyone can have a proper conversation. The food is outstanding and really good value for money. I cannot get enough of the paneer pakora starter and the sizzler mains are a real showpiece! Can’t wait to come back again very soon.

Me and my wife decided to try here after reading some good reviews in early April what a disappointment it was, we were rushed from the moment we walked in and the place was more or less empty, the food was very bland and tasteless they don’t serve alcohol so can’t comment on the drinks the price was reasonable but you get what you pay for I suppose we won’t be going again that’s for sure.

We e been to this local restaurant now a few times and also ordered a takeaway from their. Food is really fresh and tasty. Good portions and all for a really good price. They have recently been taken over and the staff there are lovely. Great place to eat.

Fabulous food yesterday, great friendly service. Definitely recommend a trip there to try the curries for yourself. Went again on Sunday. The food was even better than before! Service great again. You can now bring your own wine or beer if you want to. So good we have just recommended it to some of our friends and a few people we met yesterday. We are going to try a takeaway soon. Update- we recently ordered a takeaway. As before when we ate at the restaurant, the takeaway was delicious! Chicken Korai, yummy! We ordered for the first time on 13/02/24 and the food was amazing good portion sizes and impeccable taste, nothing but good reviews. However we ordered again today (03/03/24) and as lovely as the food tasted the portion sizes on the curry have depleted indefinitely also the salt and pepper chips the first time were perfectly cooked and included lots of fresh onion and peppers and tonight we received half a portion of chips barely cooked in any seasonings. It’s a shame to leave a bad review as the curry’s are still lovely however the portion size has changed and the price is the same ? *edit* Since leaving my review they have contacted me and have offered to bring another portion of chips and apologised that I was disappointed in my order. Excellent at response to my feedback . Customer service is 10/10.

We have not been to Kakoli for some time and were worried that the changes might have altered it but no, it was absolutely superb. The food was delicious and the service perfect. As Southerners we found the price very cheap, a lot less than we would pay! You can take your own alcohol with no corkage charge which is excellent. You were neither rushed not kept waiting. We will retunn.

Ordered from here last night at 6pm,was told 45 mins to 1hour delivery time,at 7.30 food still hadn't arrived,rang up and they didn't answer the phone so rang back again,eventually they answered,I was told he would check out what's happened then he hung up,another 15 mins went by and still no food so I rang again, was told he will be with you in a minute and he hung up again,food finally came after over 2 hours.popadoms were stale,no salad with the starter,chicken in the curry was rubbery,and everything was stone cold,a waste of over 30pound,never again
