Amaani Restaurant in Tameside

I have dined here many times and never had any complaints , yet tonight was a different story , the table service was appalling! Witnessed member of staff insulting his other colleagues and then asked ‘ oih you have u finished to my friends and told , and told they haven’t had wine glasses for 15 years and served the wine in a pint pot and then told dont You need to learn how to order’! What the hell totally ruined the evening and will not be visiting again the food was cold And the hospitality was absolutely terrible Totally ruined my daughters special day!

Food tasty , but bit tempered could of been hotter for me

We were visiting nearby and noticed this place enroute ,so glad we decided to return to eat here .The staff were friendly and so helpful I asked for recommendations as to which fish dish to choose. The fish Biran was recommended and it certainly didn’t disappoint, my husband had chicken tikka Biriyani best he had ever eaten .peshwari naan was freshly made and tasted amazing . The choice of dishes is good something to suite any palate . We live 35 miles away with a number of authentic Indian restaurants but none compare to Amaani we would have no hesitation in returning.

It's a curry house, which means they serve the same dishes as every other curry house, apart from a few signature dishes. The food was good, though, but the service was somewhat lacking.

Lovely meal for 6. Food served promptly piping hot - we had meat eaters and vegetarians in our party and we all throughly enjoyed it. We can always rely on Amaani to deliver an excellent meal

The food was incredible at the restaurant and would highly recommend to anyone. We went as a large party for my husbands 60th birthday celebration and had a fantastic evening, the staff made sure everything went to plan and looked after us really well.

We were seated at our table for 4 and once our drinks arrived, starters followed very quickly. We were continuously interrupted by different waiters asking us are we ready to have our main meal. I asked could we finish enjoying our drinks first, but within minutes we were interrupted again as they wanted the plates cleared and one of us still hadn't even finished! Again, we were asked are we ready for the main course. Served main course and after i put my knife snd fork down just to take a minute, the waiter was there asking if I'd finished! Felt rushed, even though restaurant was getting quiter as people were leaving. Would not go again even though food was tasty.

Fantastic food. Very friendly staff service is excellent. If you want a relaxing meal with a great atmosphere you need to go here.

Everything on the food side was excellent, But the drinks are expensive :- £5.50 for a small white wine spritzer, is a bit over the top i thinks. Would go again but not buy alcoholic drinks.

I had a wonderful time at Amaanis food experience. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I especially enjoy the lamb Naga special or any Apna Desi curry, which is tender and flavorful. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend Amaani to anyone looking for a satisfying and authentic meal.

Had a wonderful evening at the Amaani with my family. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, one of the best Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant.

We don’t like that you get pushed in the waiting area when you have booked a table you should be shown to your table on arrival. The staff have been there for ages & are not as welcoming to customers, perhaps because they are too busy. Once you get to your table the service is good & efficient but they have no time for pleasantries. Food is very good, maybe not authentic as it could be but enjoyable.

Looks like they have changed the old staff bad move as the new lot are miserable as hell the food not the same as well will not be going again

This is the best place to eat with anyone. All the workers are so nice. The food is perfectly cooked and tastes amazing. The seats are comfy I LOVE coming with my family- Lucas aged 9

Felt very uncomfortable sat the bar area after the meal enjoyinga drink & staff where mopping vacuuming around us couldn't wait for us to leave. Obviously need to invest in a cleaner 🙄 will not be going again.

If you don’t drink alcohol and generate a good bill at the end the staff do not want to know ! Absolutely disgusting customer service they could not have treated my family and guests any worse if they tried ! Absolute chaos instead of one person serving you diligently you have 10 people trying too which resulted in the order being wrong then we were made to feel it was our fault and after spending £170 at this mismanaged place they claim falls under hospitality although far from hospitable we would never go back Avoid ! Spend your hard earned money elsewhere

Nice to have a restaurant so good so close. In fact i now use it as a take away, restaurant quality food in your own home. Tried most of the specials, all very good, it makes it hard to choose what to order. Another great meal today

There was a large party of us and so we did the "party menu" £19.95 pp for 3 courses and side (pops & chutneys, mixed starter, any main and rice, chips or naan). Service was great and attentive. Food was just as good. I had the chicken tikka makhani for my main and it was sweet, savoury and creamy, very easy to eat and mild. Everything delicious from the popadoms and chutney to the sides. Ordered a side starter of garlic mushroom puri, which was very tasty but slightly lacking in garlic. Maybe that's just personal preference though. Everything else was lovely, hot, fresh and very tasty....salad garnish was super fresh and garlic naan exceptional! Service great and nothing too much trouble. Only criticism is a £5 minimum card payment at bar. Overall 9.5/10 would definitely return!

The food was rated as excellent by all seven diners. Service was prompt and efficient without being intrusive. The atmosphere was good, but can get a bit loud because of how busy it gets. You can't have everything.

Good food, little bit pricey but not excessive, service could be better.

Wonderful food as always but felt very rushed by the staff. Only just put cutlery down from eating my main meal and was asked if we wanted the bill.... we would've liked dessert and more drinks. Then as the dishes were cleared another member of staff asked if he could bring the bill. After only an hour of being there we left feeling rushed and quite disappointed.

Went for my partner's birthday meal and the restaurant was very accommodating after booking with very short notice as our original plans had fallen through last minute at another restaurant which had let us down and we are soo thankful they did as this restaurant really made my partner's birthday special. From start to finish the whole experience was faultless. A member of staff greeted us upon arrival. There was a very slight wait despite the restaurant being exceptionally busy. There was a waiting lounge area to accommodate this. Once seated the waiting staff were amazing, very attentive noticing when we needed things without us having to ask. Food came very quickly. Many waiting staff to accommodate the volume of customers. I was also incredibly appreciative that after me asking staff to accommodate some kind of birthday dessert or something along the lines to be brought to the table to surprise my boyfriend, they kindly brought a slice of cake with a candle and serenaded him which really made it special for him. Thank you! You saved my boyfriend's birthday meal and made it more than we could have hoped for.

Amazing dining experience! From being warmly greeted and promptly seated, to the friendly and attentive service, the gorgeous food and even the well wishes when we left...this was a top notch dinner that couldn't be faulted. Very reasonably priced, and the food was so tasty. We've already said we're coming back soon and couldn't believe it took us that long to visit in the first place.

Went with a party of about 30. Had th party menu. Very good value at £19.95 per head. Reasonable portions although a bit shy on the poppadoms. I asked for a very mild sauce for my biryani and the waiter kindly said he would change the madras one that he brought for a mild one. A bit of a wait for it and unfortunately it nearly took the mouth off me! He kept out of our way lol. Drinks could be cheaper but overall was good. Very busy place.

Ive been a number of times now, and nite never fails with great food and a lovely place

For the 3rd time in a row our order was missing something!!! We travel from glossop so to far to come back once we realise. In the past when this happened they say tell us next time you’re in. We never do as feel embarrassed and just want our order to be right. Tonight we didn’t even bother to call, we just won’t go back. Tonight we even asked if everything was there on collecting but didn’t want to make a fuss as seemed like they were training up a new member of staff. It’s a shame as the food is good but it’s not cheap and sick of paying for food we don’t get and for someone to be left without a meal.

Ok curry.. booked table 4 weeks in advance and still sat down an hour after. Waiter kept asking us to order more food although we ordered 6 poppadoms 3 starters 3 mains and 2 chips 2 rice and 2 deserts for 2 adults a 5 and u 7 year old

Just basic takeaway quality food in my opinion. Location/ambience is fine. There's good parking facilities.

Really looking forward to coming with my wife and two lads but sorry to say very disappointed. Felt like we were rushed at first and then the mains took ages to come. Now the food. Both rices were cold, Nan bread was under done and bland and the chicken tikka rogan Josh in my opinion was sub standard and small portions. The chicken portions were poor as well in all meals. Oh and forgot to mention the bottle of white was warm. Price £117 for the four of us wasn’t worth it.Very disappointing as all my previous visits have been enjoyable. Will think twice about returning.

Been a couple of times recently bit hit and miss todays food was poor didn't meet description and totally different taste to previous occasion will be giving it a miss for a while Rather inconsistent for my liking
