Everest is a fantastic cafe restaurant, we have never had a bad meal from here, we've both dined in and had takeaways. The staff have always been courteous and helpful. Do not expect fine dining but do expect fine food.

Can never get delivery anymore stop saying you do .

Everything was really good. You can taste the authentic Nepalese flavor in every bite. I will definitely come back.

Hidden gem. Small but mighty. Literally, everything was beyond amazing, very unexpected. Worth the wait as they are a small firm we had to wait for dishes, but they were cooked to perfection. Definitely returning.

At that moment, two people walked into the restaurant and requested a table for two. Immediately, the staff cleaned and assigned a table to them. I asked why this was happening, and they told me the table was reserved. If the table was reserved, why didn't you inform me when I first entered the restaurant? Had I known, I would have gone elsewhere. I wasted 40 minutes there and left with an empty stomach. I experienced rude behavior and terrible service. It seems you may have many friends leaving fake 5-star reviews.

Great food, except one of our party was quite ill a day later, suspected from re-heated rice (awaiting sample results). She was the only one to eat plain rice. It's a shame because the meal was spot on but this has put me off returning.

Hidden gem in greater Manchester! Having been over 10 times and tried every authentic Nepalese dish this place has to offer, the consistency and quality of food has remained 10/10 every time! The tastes are different to any I had experienced and the flavours blew my mind! Highly recommend this place to anyone! Himalayan chicken and Everest lamb are my favourites but they are all really really good! Only critique could be maybe better ambiance with the lighting, abit dimmer maybe? But that’s all I could critique! Also try the gurka beer momos, sekwa and garlic naan too!

Wow what a gem thought we would try this place for a change and was amazed how good it was the food was to die for plenty of flavours and spices sent your taste buds wild. Totally different to normal curry house with mixture of Nepalese making it really different plenty of different choices on the menu staff brilliant with open kitchen and couldn't do enough for you nice selection of drinks gurakal beer and everest the favourite plenty of parking near by. But would definitely recommend booking as it's getting bustier as word is spreading been back four times ourselves.

My wife and I ordered our first takeaway delivery from the Everest Café, Ashton under Lyne tonight. I can totally recommend this place, we LOVED the food. We got Everest Chicken wings for starters, then I had the Everest Lamb Curry, my wife had the Chicken Karahi, we had Pilau Rice and a Garlic Naan Bread. Everything was absolutely spot on. It was delivered bang on time, the quality is 5 star, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. We'll definitely be ordering from here again. We must visit the restaurant in person.

Nice enough, has great reviews but tbh I've tasted better. Curry was a tad bland, price on the higher side. Was 6pm ish and because a small venue loud noisy other punters were a tad close. Prob wouldn't return

Just had the most tastiest curry's ever not to hot .you could taste the spices exerlant it was the everest lamb curry big chunks of tender lamb. I would highly recommend this restaurant no frills but brilliant food xx best in rameside. Staff spot on to thank you for amazing service and food

Just had a lovely meal here at Everest! Staff was lovely and the food was outstanding 👌 authentic Nepalese food and seemed to be all fresh ingredients. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good curry. Compliments to the chef 🫡 the lamb chops starter, lamb shank main and sea bass main on the bone were exceptional.

What a little gem this place is. First time visiting and it did not disappoint. Ordered the sherpa lamb and the lamb melted in the mouth. Packed with flavour it was exquisite. Very reasonable in price. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Never tasted anything like it before. Will definitely be going back there again. Made a nice change from the usual Indian food. Very happy 😊

Lovely food and service was good. All the dishes were strong with punchy flavours and spice. King prawn starter dish and chicken momo were OK and pricey for what you get. The curries were all very, very good especially the bhuteko lamb. Service is efficient.

Just recently opened and had 50% off of all for dining in. We had an amazing time with a friend eating cousin that was very rare in the town. Friendly staff and honest chef. Will definitely be visiting here again.

What a gem of a restaurant in Ashton of all places! The food was totally amazing from the momo buns and herby potatoes, to the best fish curry I’ve ever eaten, even in India, beautifully cooked and spiced, the jackfruit curry was fabulous, creamy and lush! The place was spotlessly clean and the service friendly, quick and efficient. I can’t believe how reasonably priced such fantastic food was. Can’t wait to go again.

Ordered the day before Xmas Eve ready for Xmas eve pickup. They accepted the order and had 28 hours notice. 25 minutes before pick up time they cancelled they order saying they couldn’t fulfil it. Shocking service on Xmas eve when they’ve had over a day notice.

02/12/23 Our first time here. We arrived at 5:30 pm during the recent cold spell of weather and found the café/restaurant to be very cold inside, so cold it's the first time I can recall where I kept my coat and beanie on during the whole visit! 🥶 2 tasty curries, a J2O, and one bottle of Everest beer (brewed in Grantham, Lincolnshire 🤔) came to £36; not cheap but I suppose it's par for the course nowadays.

Visited on a Saturday evening just after opening at 5.15pm.Warm welcome and we're informed we could have the table until 6.30 which wasn't a problem. Already busy even though still early so would advise booking .Had the chilli chicken momo and lamb chops to start.Both dishes really tasty For the mains had lamb curry mushroom rice and a naan.Allfood really good well spiced and tasty.Along with 3 pints of Cobra the bill was a very reasonable £46.Definately will be returning when next in A-U-L.

Delicious food, with attentive service. Arrived drenched from the rain and welcomed by the staff who were quick to ensure we were made comfortable. The curries were delicately spiced, with good quality meat and awesome flavours. The makhani was to die for as was the Kathmandu lamb 😋 Definitely recommend 👌

Don’t know if it’s got new owners now, but gone downhill. Forgot £15 worth of items, and the main was just a chicken stew. Really shame.

Went here for the first time with two other couples recently. It was excellent. The food and service were both great. I would highly recommend it. I had the Everest Lamb Curry for my main and it is one of the best I have had, it says extra hot on the menu, but it wasn't. Nice level of spice, without spoiling the flavour of the curry and the lamb just melted in your mouth. Delicious. We will definitely be back for another meal here in the near future.

Had a lovely night with friends. Food was very good. Only went because it was recommended. From the outside would not have entered… looks drab and needs TLC. Inside is clean & pleasant. Service a bit slow on arrival had quite a wait for drinks. Would be nice to be acknowledged you are waiting. All in all we enjoyed the experience… fabulous Nepalese curry . Give it a try & review.

First time trying after hearing some great recommendations and it was fantastic! We ordered a selection of starters and mains to share between 4 and all were so tasty and fresh. The staff were so lovely and made a real effort with us. We would go back in a heartbeat and want more people to try this fantastic place.

The only thing nicer than the welcome (and we are treated like favourite family members) is the food. Try it all! I have yet to be anything but delighted! We found this place a month ago - and last night was 6th visit. Favourites so far - fish curry, lamb shank! The lamb melts in your mouth - hardly any chewing required! Everything is fresh - and you can taste every element in all dishes!

I have been here a while back ..the food was on point infact it was more than expected .. I had underestimated the cuisine .. I did not think the food would be so good .. For a nepali resturaunt I would rate this number 1 in all of Greater Manchester.

So glad we visited this place, a lovely family run restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. For starters we had lamb chops, chilli chicken and on hearing another customer say how nice the Gilafi seekh kebabs were we decided to try those too. So glad we did they just melted in your mouth and the flavours were fantastic. For mains we had Everest lamb curry and Himalayan chicken, the flavours in them were amazing, the lamb just fell apart. Everything was so nicely spiced nothing too spicy at all, just very tasty. Everything was served quickly and piping hot and we just could not fault the food at all, nothing fatty or greasy. We had two glasses of house wine as well, which were really nice and all came to £59, great value for such great food. Will definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu!

We discovered Everest a short time ago and have found a little gem. Excellent food, very friendly owners , who always have time to chat to you regardless of how busy they are , and they are. A really cosy restaurant and is very well worth a visit

SerJohn - our host - was friendly and helpful. He listened to our preferences and then made recommendations- and he was spot on! Starters were sheek kebab and chicken mo mo - both were good (but if you’ve not had them before - go mo mo!) Mains - chicken makhani - mild but exciting! Nepalese fish curry - fresh herbs and spices jump out at you … but do not detract from the fish (be prepared for bones - but easily avoided … or sucked!) Lamb shank Nepali - out of this world! Heartily recommend a visit!

Only upset was quantity of paneer mutter gravy and was less compared to the cost of it. Should have justified the cost around £9.5 pounds! But chenna masala gravy quality was good enough when compared. Taste wise it’s authentic no flaw

What a perfect place for a pleasant informal meal. The food is absolutely lovely and the staff friendly and chatty. We had momo veg dumpling starters, Himalayan chicken curry and Everest lamb curry, all delicious. The fresh garlic naans are the best. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic meal. We went for the first time this evening and shared a curry. Whilst we were waiting, two separate tables complemented the chefs on how good the food was. We knew before it arrived it was going to be good. Fantastic flavours and there was a ton of choice so we'll need to go back. Service was top notch too!

The lady at the restaurant was really rude and don't have a clue about customer service. The closing time in Google is at 10 PM but I was denied entry into the restaurant at 8.50 PM and I am posting this review from the restaurant. The lady pointed that I am arguing for asking why am I not allowed even before 1 hour of closing.

We visited as a party of 8. The food is amazing from start to finish every bite was delicious. We were all very impressed with the service and quality of the food. We will all be coming back. Highly recommend.
