The quality is somewhat good but the quantity portion for the main meal is not good enough at all based on prices for food items, we ordered Sizzler(full of paneer, not enough vegetables or salad or rice), pav bhaji (very small portion), uttapam (size of roti and not fluffy as it should be) and Soya chap masala(half of quantity compared to shown in their special food menu).

I visited Lily's last Friday with my sister and from start to finish the service, food and atmosphere was excellent. We were firstly greeted by Lajaana, who made us feel very welcome and made sure everything was ok for us throughout our visit. We had the afternoon tea, which was delicious, very filling and I would highly recommend it. Thank you so much to the staff for making our 1st time at your restaurant a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Amazing food as always at Lilys! They do a vegan paneer and it’s beyond incredible - I have since been back twice to have some more! I also recommend the Lilys Vegan sizzler (pictured) My 2 children loved the food here and the curry spice level can be adjusted for them which is great for fussy eaters! We also ordered some noodles from the indo-Chinese menu just incase the children found things too spicy, however that wasn’t the case and everything was devoured!

First time visiting this place, which we have been meaning to visit for sometime now There is a great little deli at the front of the restaurant and then lots of seating space inside The chairs and the boots and tables are all really well presented and clean and tidy The service was lovely. Everybody was really friendly and we were getting lots of food. Envy was looking at other peoples dishes that were being brought out. We ended up choosing the spicy noodles and the paneer makhani curry The curry was probably one of the best ones I’ve tasted with some of the nicest garlic naan bread I’ve had in a while The spicy noodles on the other hand were a little bit of a letdown and quite boring. I think they may have missed out some of the vegetables as somebody else had had one delivered a few tables down which looked really appetising and I was just didn’t fit the bill. Everything was great Poppadoms yeah, we’re lovely and fresh and the chutney tray was very tasty. The only thing I think that would’ve helped me whilst making my decisions was maybe some pictures of the food I had a look on the Google page and on Instagram, but there was hardly anything For the specials menu, they did have pictures of the food there. We took home some Rasmalai from the shop - it was really nice, but I thought it had too much cardamon in there for my liking. Then again I’m no expert. We also took some samosas home and they were lovely also.

Spoilt for choice on mains with paneer options, dosas, etc. Highly recommended. Special mention for Hiren, who took our order. All the staff seemed very friendly. There is no on-site parking, street parking on single yellow line after 6pm which we used. There is paid parking behind a cash and carry next door. We didn't use it, so we were unable to verify the cost and how busy it was.

A return lunchtime visit to one of the small number of entirely vegetarian South Asian restaurants in the metro area. Vegetable samosa to start for one of us. It’s not in the slightest bit greasy and comes well balanced, with a background kick of chilli but not such that it overpowers. There’s a mint raita to soften things. Masala dosa to follow. A nice crisp pancake filled with spiced mashed potato, which would have stood a bit more spice. There’s a nice sambhar, coconut chutney and a yoghurt dip. It’s fine – not the best dosa we know in the area but pretty good. The other starter was papdi chaat. It’s a well thought out dish, both for texture and flavour – crisp papdi and sev, chickpeas and potato, mixed with yoghurt and a sweet/sharp chutney (tamarind?). It’s a generous portion that would possibly have done you as a main course, if you hadn’t come with much of an appetite. Fortunately, I had brought an appetite, so was able to also enjoy vegetable Jaipuri. It’s a richly flavoured dish, reflecting the cuisine of Rajasthan – mixed vegetables, chopped very small, cashew nuts and grated paneer in a creamy tomato sauce. I ordered that with a couple of Gujarati roti, liberally smeared with melted ghee. Good lunch. And we then popped into their shop to buy a selection of sweets to nibble on over the coming days.

Went here the weekend for my birthday. Opening hours very unusual for an Indian restaurant closes at 4 or 5 or 6 depending on which information is correct, as the times on the door are different to the website and then different to times u can book a table online. They do paneer makhani and dal makhani but couldn't make me a mushroom one. Infact couldn't even change the mushroom and spinach curry to not have spinach which suggests it's not cooked fresh. Came out very quickly again was it just re heated! Food was OK had much better Indian food at other places. I am vegetarian and encouraged my bf a meat eater to eat their because it was my birthday. Really disappointed wouldn't go again. Plus a bit over priced for what you get portion wise.

My first visit and I don't think it will be my last. It was great going somewhere where the entire menu was vegetarian. It was overwhelming having so much choice when I'm used to picking from a few options! For my first visit, I played safe and went with a dish I'd had elsewhere so I had something to compare it with. I ordered paneer tikka shashlik, jeera rice, and a side salad. I was impressed by the portion size of the side salad and Shashlik - I thought they'd be smaller so these were definitely sharable. My friend had a curry dish which felt more "personal" sized. The staff were friendly, but not quite as available as we needed which is why I rated 4*s. Didn't feel rushed to leave, and the atmosphere was good (we did go mid-week in the evening).

We visited for a family meal after visiting Lily's and having takeaway food for the past ten years. We haven't been in a while and we will not be going again. The service was awful. Very slow and didn't seem to know what we'd ordered. The onion bhaji starter was the worst we'd ever had. A few in our group left theirs. They were tasteless, soggy and cold. The mains weren't much better and were also cold. The manager came to our table talking about the bill when people were still eating their main and they didn't even get a chance to look at the dessert menu. We then had to queue to pay and it took nearly half an hour for the pleasure. It was a really unpleasant experience with no apology or acknowledgement of the issues.

Visited Lily's on Good Friday (visiting for a few days from London). There was a great atmosphere. It was nice to be in an Indian restaurant that didn't have TVs dotted around the place and the music was low, so you could hear each other talk. The service was great, all staff were polite and spoke to you with a smile on their face. The food was tasty. We only had starters and dessert (paneer tikka, pani puri, masala chips, ice cream and chocolate fudge cake which was to die for). The food was priced fairly and even though all tables were full, the level of service didn't drop at any point. The food came out very quick, I think we waited less than 5 minutes for drinks and 10 minutes for starters. Would definitely recommend going here if you're in the area.

I have tried their Samosas and to be honest didn't like it maybe because of the sweetness of carrots in the stuffing and also the oil in which they are fried smells wierd.Tried the Jalebi as well again had the issue with the quality. I prefer their in-house dining options over their snacks. Ambience is good. One more thing to add is they are not exactly friendly with children with special needs.

Attention to detail from servers when ordering giving due regard to allergies is always comforting and helpful and the chef has on occasions modified ingredients to facilitate a wider choice of menu for people with the most severe allergies. Food is always delicious and my only gripe is that I want to eat the whole menu every time I come. To say I’m spoilt for choice is an understatement. And as busy as it gets, the service is always prompt and exactly what’s asked for. Add to that the fact that the cost of a big meal doesn’t break the bank, it’s our go to venue for a treat day or night. It’s accessible and the toilets are always clean. Five stars never seems enough.

I had almost given up hope of finding good pure vegetarian Indian food in or near Manchester- that is until this evening . I booked a table ( probably necessary because the restaurant is so popular) and was ushered to my seat promptly at the " appointed time " The Bhel was superb as was the Masala Dhosa in fact each dish I ordered was divine culminating in the home - made kulfi that was "out of this world" The restaurant ambiance was delightful as where all of the attentive staff. Prices were very fair indeed in fact for food of this quality you could easily pay twice as much. We have been going for years, food is definitely good, no questions about that but it feels like owners and staff treat asian customers differently and very sorry to say white customers differently like they dont care as they might think, we will come any way, I dont know why but thats the feeling I get, why dont treat everyone the same, we all pay the same prices , thats why you wont find old asian customers anymore who used to go to old place usually, I do not want to mention other types of customers as whoever reads this will figure out what I am talking about, it feels very odd and I can feel the difference in service between asian customers and other customers despite owners are asian !!! If I am saying anything wrong , read below comments, most negatives are from asian background, I am really sorry to put this here but this is what I feel. We want to support local restaurants but not when treated two kinds of people differently!!! If you dont like us then might as well say it on the face then treating differently !!! It was not like this before, I personally used to recommend Lilly's to everyone but not anymore. I can clearly see the difference in treatment towards asian customers!!!!

My second visit to Lily's and both were very enjoyable. The food is delicious and fresh. I am not a vegetarian, but loved all the dishes - the Siignature Sizzler was a hit with our little group. The staff are friendly and helpful and makke you feel welcome. A lovely place to have lunch and I am eager to try the evening menu.

I liked the papdi chat but the rest of the Indo Chinese section was a let down. All the dishes were red in colour with peppers and spring onions which were too much in proportion to the actual vegetables used. They all tasted the same. Only Gobi Manchurian was individualistic. One advice, if you're making masala chips our Indian spices would do a way better job than literally drowning the chips in ketchup and spring onions. I found it a lazy take on masala chips for an Indian restaurant Staff were attentive... But not impressed with the food sadly

When we arrived it was busy and they managed to fit us in. So book. Even though it was busy the service was excellent. No long waits between courses. I love curries. I have had good and bad. This was excellent. I am always honest about what I write. They are rich and flavoursome. The Naan was to die for. Soft fluffy and quite large. And importantly tasty. If you fancy a takeaway then you get 20% off the menu prices. Make sure you book.

Conceited arrogance. Simply they sent us the wrong order, it was way too hot and went in the bin. Phones them up 3 time and left messages, no reply. When we got through they asked why did it take so long to complain, seriously! Took no responsibility, said they never get things wrong, blamed Uber Eats, who is the supplier here? Reason I never went back to their over rated restaurant was because I had a huge, dead, bluebottle in my chutney one time. No apologies then either.

Food and service were faultless. An imaginative menu that I've not encountered before and my chosen dish couldn't have been better. Courteous and friendly staff, in a very relaxing environment. 100% recommended!

I am disgusted by this whole order, we ordered all sauce and salad except from one separate, the sauce was drenched all over the food, the sauce was that hot was inedible, my father had to take all chicken off and wipe it down with paper towels, but still covered in sauce, had to be thrown away, me and my mum shared one, it had 4 pieces of chicken Tikka on it, which was already cut up from proberly two pieces of chicken Tikka. The salad and sauce was also drenched on it. The food was thrown away. All the food was cold. The only edible thing was the popadoms. My brother onion barje was sloppy and cold. I paid extra for sauce and salads separate for the above reason. The salad was just lettuce in a plastic bag. No cucumber, tomato, onion or coleslaw which you would expect from a salad. I ordered a additional one for the next night for myself again had to be thrown. I tried to take the lettuce and sauce of it but could not. The nann bread was already mushy. I paid extra for the salad and sauce separate. I rang shah of Denton and I wasnt very attentive. I am disgraced and very upset. £40 wasted. Do not eat from here!
