Kailash Momo Restaurant in Greenwich

Lovely place for Momos and the spice levels are low which is good for kids. We had to wait for 20 minutes for the table as we thought it was not necessary to book a reservation on a week day but it is recommended to reserve a table ahead., inspite of waiting they made sure we were comfortable and took the order before hand. I really liked the idea of us writing down the order rather than the waiter.

Friendly service and delicious choices - chilli momos are a favourite. Amazing value too.

Went there yesterday with our team members. We arrived late which was totally inconvenient and our fault but they arranged a table for us anyhow. Thankyou for the hospitality.

A very warm environment to enjoy in the cold weather with signature and authentic dishes. We had the chilli momos and noodle soup. The chilli momos were cooked to perfection and the portion size was also great. Noodle soup though very filling needed a little bit of seasoning so I added a bit of chilli oil and soy sauce that was on the table. We also took home chicken steam momos which came with the red chutney. Even though the chutney was very sweeet for my palate I enjoyed the overall experience of dining here. I’d like to come back to try more things on the menu.

I have been going to this place for almost 2 years. I am regular visitor to order Veg Momos , chilli veg momos , chowmein. Great value for money and tomato sauce is the USP. I would love if they have a membership for their regular customers :p But highly recommend the food.

We went there for lunch to try Tibetan cuisine for the first time. Such a great place. We had some momo, a selection of curry samples, noodle soup and butter tea. Everything was delicious. We liked the decor and the Tibetan style couches. Great service too. Food came fast. Prices are very good. Will definitely come again to try more dishes.

Best momos in Woolwich. Would recommend their Chilli chicken/veg momos and fried chicken/veg rice. I absolutely love them. The staff are happy and helpful, service is quick although the restaurant is always busy. Sometimes, there is a wait of 15-30 mins depending on the availability of the tables. Overall great experience of having food here.

The prices have gone up but the food standards, quality and taste has slipped. Ordered a lamb curry with rice, mixed noodles, veg steamed momos and gulab jamun for dessert. Dessert came out with mains, the dessert got cold by the time we're were ready to eat it. Dropped my fork, asked for another as the cutlery container on the table was empty. I did not get a replacement fork. Felt very rushed. I visited after over 6 months. Not sure when I'll hurry back

After hearing so much good from people about this Momo's place, we(4 friends) planned a dinner outing last week. Tried veg Momo's, fried chicken Momo's, Thukpa, Chilli chicken, Sel Roti and Alu achar, Chicken Chowmein and Nepalese Gurkha beer What we liked most: Chilli Chicken, Veg Momo's, Thukpa, Gurkha beer. You should definitely order these items What disappointed us: Chicken Chowmein, Sel Roti, Fried Chicken Momos and Laphing. Chowmein was bland, Sel Roti was good in itself but the chutney and Alu achar was freezing cold and tasteless. Fried Chicken momos had highly oily taste. Service was quick and staff is friendly. Good to dine out. Not any wow factor, don't keep your expectations high.

We had a bad dine in experience. The lady with glasses was rude. She misunderstood our order and then rudely denied to replace it. She was constantly trying to put the blame on us. Whenever we called her (to place more orders/for the menu etc) she seemed a bit annoyed. But no complaint with the food. The behaviour of the staffs should be improved.

Incredibly good food at very reasonable prices. The dumplings were incredible, I could eat them all day! The chicken thali was delicious, it came with rice, garlic spinach, spiced peas and potatoes, a chili sauce, a dahl and the curried chicken. We also ordered bread for dipping and it was so yummy. Will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Kailash mo mo is the best place for Neplease, Indian & Chanise food. This is the fantasti dacorate place. May be you feel something happy wheen you be there.

A small narrow place. Easily missed not much to look from the outside. However, inside is a different story. It always seems to be packed. Lots of delicious foods on the menu. We came as a large group and it was an excellent experience. The staff are efficient and quick. Will I return? For sure.

We spent just over £52 and below is our experience We spent just over £30 on chicken and lamb Thali of which only approx 5% of food was chicken and lamb respectively. This is unacceptable ❌❌❌ Lamb was So badly cooked that it was uneatable. So over rater Thali was a DISAPPOINTMENT.... AVOID THAT.. @KAILASH MOMO, please buy quality meant from your supplier. I.e. the meat which is tender and not a very old lamp. The remaining amount was spent on MOMO which was the start product of this restaurant. MOMO is a must try for MOMO lovers. 1 ⭐ for MOMOS and 1 ⭐ for service and atmosphere respectively

Had different foods, the opinion is mixed about them. Alltogether it was okay, but really far from the catarctic experience, and the staff kindness was also neutral at best.

The restaurant is cozy and warm. You will get a note book to write down ur orders so make sure you write them correctly cauz you will pay for what you order. I would recommend to make a booking if it’s more than 4 people. Food is good compared to other Nepalese restaurants. Price is good for the quantity and quality. I would prefer to have fresh momos than the frozen ones. I would definitely visit again and would definitely recommend to try Tibetan flavours. However Khaja set could be made better.

It was our 1st visit on a Sunday. The deco inside is refreshing. Food was good. I totally recommend Nepalese cuisine. Be careful where you park as wardens are always around the area.

The food is very tasty, me and my husband order frequently, I have no complaints about the food however I feel like nowadays they are always busy and can’t really handle it well. A couple of times recently there were mistakes in our order & waiting time is significantly longer. People are gathering in a small place in front of the counter to wait for the table, I think there should be a better system for this as I feel it’s not really safe.

The best indo Chinese restaurant. Period. Ordered momos, chili chicken momos, chili chicken, chowmein, amazing taste. The chutney with momos was also so spicy, so good. Highly recommended place, a must visit for someone looking for Indo Chinese and Tibetan cuisine.

I went their with my mate this place always seems to be so busy, even on Monday evening which is when we went there lately. As a local I often come here and it is always absolutely full of people. We ordered some Jhol momo, steamed momos, chicken shyabhale/shapale and chicken pakoras. The only reason I am giving the service 3 statrs is because the tables weren't very clean where we were seated. I get the place is usually busy but just putting in that extra effort and giving it some good wipe after people leave the table would be very much appreciated.

Horrible experience and very bad food . I was not expecting a lot from this restaurant but had to go as Maya dds restaurant was closed yesterday and we were already in Woolwich to have some Nepali food . The waitress was clearly not liking her job she was not enjoying it at all has to ask everything 3 times . Food was burned taste. We use to visit this restaurant 10 years ago and I left going just after lockdown as the food quality was degrading but now its worst. Never ever going there again .

🌱 We were looking forward to Kailash Momo after reading the reviews. The staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience. For example we were missing cutlery on our table and when I asked for it, the waitress said (not in a nice way) we should just take it from the next table. The Jhol Momos lacked flavour. We've had much better ones before. The Chilli momos were spicy but other than that it had very little flavour. We left a little disappointed and ended up finishing our dinner in a restaurant just around the corner (Maya DD's, which we loved). Personally, we wouldn't visit again.

We had a delicious and great value dinner with drinks. The staff were super lovely and accommodating, really organised and on it, and the atmosphere and decor were beautiful too. Thanks! Will be back again soon 😊

Loved thw veg momos, a must try

Absolutely loved the food! Was craving MoMos and was pleased with the overall food quality. Ordered chilli paneer, spicy fried veg momos, pork momos, veg noodles and a cold beer! Loved the taste of the food but missed the spicy peanut sauce found in some Nepalese restaurants for the momos but sauce was OK.. Only negative was when I asked the momos to be half and half. Wanted a mix of chicken and pork, same price per portion of 10, but was politely declined by waitress. 😌 Definitely coming back for more!

Had heard a lot about the place so decided to walk in on a Saturday evening.. it was packed! Most of the dishes were very tasty, especially the chicken noodles and thupka.. would surely visit again to try out their thalis.. the staff is quite cordial as well.. overall an very good experience!

Really good food for really cheap. One dish didn't show up and staff needed several reminders. After 20 mins they show up with the wrong dish :(.

Great option for nepalese food in woolwich. However, I personally felt that food was quite average (especially when you compare their neighbours maya dd) I tried their chilly momos and chicken curry and honestly wasnt too pleased. The veggie noodles smelled of stale chicken and had to be returned. The service was good and they did take the feedback and didn’t charge us.

Beautiful interior, very welcoming, the place is small but luckily managed to fit my buggy on the side. One more buggy would not have fitted. Many customers turned away as the place was full. Food was nice, the waitress was very kind to my child, she gave her paper and pen to scribble. Just wished if the place was bigger.

It is a lovely place with excellent service. The food is fabulous too, it taste a lot like home-cooking and it is fresh. I have rated it four because although the food is very tasty the portions are a little smaller.

Probably the best tibetan restaurant in London. The food is great, atmosphere even better. Try the dishes they recommend. Momo is a speciality and the aloo baley is not to be missed. Plenty of options for mains.

My fondness for momos leads me to this restaurant. Food tastes so good. I believe you should request to reduce the oil in the food. I found the noodles and fried rice a bit oily. They offer pocket-friendly prices and create a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Service is average. It is good to book in advance during the weekends if you are going with more than two people. I will definitely go again.

One of my favourite restaurants in London - understated but authentic with dishes that pack a punch at affordable prices. Use to be a hidden gem, a bit of a shame it’s gone viral because it use to be relatively easy to get a table ( not anymore!)

My family and I really loved our dinner here. Based on seeing all the reviews, I had high expectations, which I’m happy to report were realized. We went in on a Wednesday evening and the place was lively but there was still a few tables. We also saw they have an usual ordering system (or, at least, one we’ve never encountered before). You write the number of each item you want and the quantity. When the waitress comes along, she takes the paper. I can see how this is pretty efficient and overcomes language barriers. The food was amazing and all came out quickly. We had the paneer appetizer and it was stunning as well as bringing the heat. I actually love how they don’t warn you it’s spicy. You are in a Nepalese restaurant, after all, so what else would you expect? Everything else was amazing, especially the deep fried bread which was one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever sampled. Appetizer, beer, wine, juice, bread, and three meals came in at 48£ to feed three people incredible food. What a value! I already want to go back. Do not miss the opportunity to try this gem.

Been there so many times as it's very local to me. Most of their food I tried is just so divine and simply best. If you're into any flavourul food (and spicy) but something not too filling, definitely try out their bhuji chat!! It brings back so many memories from home. Their steamed chicken momo is also worth a try as it tastes very rich, juicy and authentic especially with their handmade sauce served alongside. Apart from that, the menu is broad to chose from, and seems friendly for vegans. Not to mention, the price is really on an affordable side with some really good portions. Don't forget to stop by there if you're ever stopping by Woolwich area to satisfy your taste buds with some Tibetian cuisine.

Deserves a visit for a different experience.
