Kabana in Kirklees

Food was delicious but cold by the time it arrived. Slightly disappointed, as this is our local and we spend a lot of money there

Once again Kabana came through, our order tasted great as usual.

As usual our order was delivered on time, we normally pick up but decided to get a delivery 🚚, it came 20 mins early, we got the mixed kebab, what can I say, it was very tasty, with doner, chicken, and sheikh kebab, will be back again deffo.A+++with

Highly recommended! Although it’s Very busy place so wait is a must. But, Kindness counts the most! My son wanted Pulao Rice, which one the staff member was eating from his “home food”. So he gave us a huge portion of rice for free! Rice was so delicious. Crown Pizza & Tawa were also good. The staff is really kind too. Thank you again for the rice.

Brilliant food and service. Delicious food, I got the tawa for 4 and shared with 6 and we were all filled after. The donner was absolutely Delicious and the wings had loads of flavour. Totally recommend!!!!!!

Best curry in town! Their mint sauce is the only mint sauce I can have, so tasty!

My son Tom loves the lamb karahi fro Kabana Huddersfield. We have tried many lamb dishes from far and wide. Kabana is up there with the best.

Amazing place to eat and beautiful food

This place is our go to place for the best curry, dinner meat and chips. Also started to serve pizzas, I’m not normally a pizza guy but the pizza I had from here was delicious, the dough was really soft and the toppings were flavoursome. Not like your normal no taste, feel like your chewing on rubber pizzas!

Was good, back in the day's, but now it's just way overpriced and about 20 minutes after you ate your food. You're just rushing to the tiolet. Food standards have dropped big time in a big way. Won't be going back to this establishment in a hurry

I ordered doner naan kebab, and it was absolutely awful. It was cold and as hard as rubber, not fresh. The doner came out as if it were 2 days old food and was out of the steamer. Keep away! Fraud and scammer alert!

Just tried kbana's new invention and that's pizza " Crown Pizza". Mashallah Beautiful, delicious and top class standard pizza with a very different shape 😋.. very professionally and carefully baked by the chef. The look of the pizza is very good and very carefully sliced.

The curry was full of grizzly pieces of meat and was luke warm the mango chutney was watery. very disappointing!

5☆ for the chicken karahi & the salad bar but I've changed my 5* star review from previous to 1. Ordered a tava and gobsmacked how small the portions were, hardly any starters what a waste of £42. Never again.

Food was good but they didn’t have a lot of things we ordered and just decided to make swaps without even asking or telling us. If we paid for chicken pakoras, don’t give us two helpings of spring rolls as if it’s the same thing? Ask us what else we’d like? Such a ridiculous thing to even have to explain.

Got the lamb chops meal but with fries instead of naan. Was bit disappointed with the portion of chops- I received 4 tiny lamb chops and a good sized portion of fries with salad which was really fresh and 😋 delicious. I did ask for medium spice, however was quite spicy but as a I was hungry just ate🙈. I'd say quality of food is good but the lamb chop portion was a kids sized portion🥲. Btw the 4 tiny chops and good sized fries n salad cost £10 which i guess is okay if you're getting from restaurant but they definitely do need to re consider portion of chops. I should have taken pic for better understanding but i can say there was hardly any meat on chops🥹🥲. Thankyou for the lovely food and quick service.

there wasn't a full portion of rice which was very disappointing considering it was for two of us, the nann bread was quite small and the bajis should be advertised as miniature. The curries themselves were lovely, no quibble on taste but portion sizes are underwhelming. unfortunately the delivery driver also got lost so the food wasn't very hot either. I understand these things happen so not too annoyed about the delivery time.

The no.1 restaurant in Huddersfield without a doubt. Amazing food every time. Head Chef Suleman is outstanding and a true champion of Customer service!

Not sure why my bag was swimming the curry oil, driver handling of package nit acceptable handing the bag upside down salad and sauces also open and naan drenched in curry oil to soggy to eat

It use to be my fav place for food and family get togethers , but last two visits food was really a disappointment , cold food was served on inquirey there was no answer , I waited out side with my family at least for 40 mins even I got booking in advance and after all of this No good food , any ways THEY NEED TO IMPROVE FOOD QUILITY , otherwise FOOD IS NOT RECOMMENDED , sorry then again to management it’s my opinion , bringing salad baar back is great , SALAD BAAR is excellent like always ,

My friends and I recently visited Kabanas for a birthday meal, having traveled from London, and we were extremely disappointed with our experience. From the start, things went downhill. Upon arrival, we were seated at a table that was far too small for our group of six. We were cramped, and our chairs kept knocking into the people behind us. The lack of space made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. We tried to make the best of it and went to the salad buffet, gathering one plate of salad for our whole table. However, the manager saw this and reprimanded us for “wasting salad,” threatening to charge us £10 if we didn’t finish it. This was a very unwelcoming gesture right at the start of our meal, and it set a negative tone for the rest of the evening. Things did not improve when our food arrived. We ordered a tawa, but unfortunately, all the meat on it was dry and tasteless. This was very disappointing, especially given the high expectations we had. As if that wasn’t enough, the complimentary kheer we were given at the end was expired. It tasted acidic, and two of us had to spit it out. We called the manager over and suggested he try it himself, but he refused, clearly aware that the dish was expired. This was not only frustrating but also quite concerning from a food safety perspective. To top it all off, the atmosphere was ruined when the music abruptly turned off and the manager began arguing with the staff in front of the customers. It was an absolute shambles and reflected poorly on how the business is run. Overall, our experience at Kabanas was disappointing and frustrating. The poor food quality, lack of customer service, and chaotic management made for a very unpleasant evening. It’s clear that this place has fallen off, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a decent meal.

absolute love kabanas always is amazing everytime, the tava for 3 was so good and the owner was the sweetest- Billo. he was so sweet and gave use free desserts on the house, really enjoyed my time here and so did my friends. felt so welcome and the staff were brilliant. billo deserves all the happiness and success to his restaurant, he is lovely. the food was yum. 10/10 no faults.

Went as a family of 7, food was disgusting, chicken was chewy and had a weird smell to it. The service was appalling and the staff were rude and ignorant.

Chips and naan breads were cold and hard

I won't recommend getting tawa for 7. Last time I got tawa for 6 and there was more food more steam, more Donner. Tawa for seven just didn't get the vibe as I initially had when we came out first time.

After a long time I decided to take my kids here and they absolutely loved the food it was spot on , had a problem with my meal as I told them no chilli but when I went to pay the manager insisted to take a another curry home for the kids now that's what I call a manager absolutely enjoyed it , when a manager takes a complaint seriously it's a place to go

Very tasty. Ordered the tawa for 5 people, when it came out it looked liked it was meant for two people instead. Very disappointed with the the quantity.

Food very bland and over priced staff nice

The food was lovely except for the Samosa's, couldn't eat them as the were cold and partly soggy, like they had just come out of the fridge.... It won't stop me from ordering food again, as normally everything is too a high standard😊

Ask for no tomatoes,they put only tomatoes in&the fish masala wasn’t the best..quite disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised after reading all the negative reviews left by some people some of which were regarding the cost 🤷🏽‍♂️, I might be missing something but the menus we got had all the prices listed 🤔 if you’re not happy just get up and leave, and I’m sure the prices must be listed online too for you to check before booking a table or turning up. If your issue is relating to something else just speak to someone and see if it can’t be resolved it’s that simple and 9/10 times it can be resolved. I’ve never been here, I was driving past, was soaking wet and muddy and not ‎in the best of moods and was both hungry and hangry and thought why not, and I’m glad I did. Got off to a bit of a rocky start and then I looked online and saw all the negative comments and that put me in an uncomfortable position, but I’m a fair guy and I let the food and my own experiences speak for themselves. I then got talking to one of the staff who was a very nice and polite lad and then the food came out after a bit of a wait but that was because of the changes I had made to our order, and it didn’t disappoint 👌🏽 Well done Kabana 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Food is 8/10 In a nutshell, you will not waste your money

We ordered a take out as this is our go to, when the food arrived it was cold. We called the restaurant to let them know and they were sure it was the fault of the driver, I was told ‘we have delivered food to Birmingham before and it was still lukewarm’. Working in the industry I am absolutely certain this food wasn’t cooked fresh to order/cooked to the correct temperature which is a shame as this is our go to place to get curries from. I highly doubt we will be returning

Felt so uncomfortable, made to feel like an inconvenience when eating at this place despite booking. Waiters were rude and unfriendly, the food was below average and small portions not justifying the price. Won’t be returning.

Ordered a chicken masala from.here. Was very confused as the chicken was diced very small as though it was for a child! It didn't have any flavour/seasoning. It tasted very much like a supermarket curry. The rice and chapatti wasn't too bad.

Had visited Kabana about 6 weeks ago and seeing as there was three of us we decided on the 3 person tawa.. back then no complaints, but... we have just revisited and being 4 of us we decided on the 4 person tawa! What a mistake that was, i only wish i had read the reviews beforehand as our experience basically mirrored what other people said in their reviews. When we entered the restaurant, we were seated virtually straight away at a window corner table, there were 5 chairs to the table but virtually a third of the table was pushed in to the corner so unusable, we decided to pull it out slightly and move a chair to make more room. people were then seated to the back of us and to the right of us and essentially, we were all rubbing seat backs, not very good at all. we ordered then went to salad bar and before we had even finished the salad which was maybe 5 minutes from ordering, the food then arrived, how on earth could it all have been cooked fresh in 5 minutes! it couldn't have! of which I’ll explain later... when the food arrived there looked to be less than our previous visit and looking at the menu of what you get for an extra £17 approximately, is half of a barbeque starter which that in itself is only about £11.50.. so what an absolute con!!! wouldn't have been so bad if you had extra curry. but maybe that wasn't a bad thing at all as the night went on!! regarding the food the curry was ok but not as good as last time and the chops and chicken wings were black and burnt, plus they were so small hardly any meat on them at all. another thing that was off putting was a waiter stood there staring at you, soon as you were finished, they swooped in and cleared the table. When we left, we went for a walk around the park, I didn't feel right at all, my partner was ok as she only really had a little bit of the curry and a bit of salad. we all went our separate ways and i got a phone call the following morning from one of the friends who went out with us, asking me if I was ok. I wasn't, I had been up half the night backwards and forward to the toilet, it also transpired so had my two friends! we went on Saturday evening, today is Monday and he is still suffering. Our guess is that some off the food was precooked and then reheated hence the super quick time it was brought to our table. so never again, Kabana needs to up there game and look after their customers... oh and another thing... for what you pay the portions are really not worth it.

On arrival freindly staff, ordered tawa for 4, good food, but found a hair in food, told staff, she cane and hust said sori quietly, so next table wouldent hear, they didnt even give discount or change food, whole family put off when found hair, terrible service, lack of hygiene, and staff didnt want tomknow when complaint made, wouldent recommend at all.

Brilliant food, no restaurant I’ve been to would cook me the dish I had at my friends house when I was younger, I spoke to the young lad on the till and with the name of the dish from my old friend he said he would get it made, I still can’t pronounce it or say it but every time I call in he knows the dish and has it made specially for me absolutely fantastic service can’t fault them in any way

I just been to this restaurant the service and the management was so rude and service was so poor when we asked the salad was not fresh they don’t want to change it and being racist saying to the waiter you should see people before they come in and saying it’s not india to serve you the way you want which is really rude and yelling at us not even answering in a polite manner ,instead insulated me and my friends

They are only fraudulent people and looted people in the of delicious food. Tasteless food, no privacy and just waste of money this restaurant. We ordered just 3 small portions to check their quality and taste and sheer disappointed to taste all this and payed for what really shocked. Small portion of degi lamb, two seeks 4 seeks kabs and one seeks of chicken tikka and payed £35.75 for all this rubbish. They are really fraudulent and over charged at the time of payment. Never try this restaurant. You will repent and waste your money.

Avoid at all costs and save your money and go elsewhere! Visted today with family and honestly am not one to complain but this food was absloutley shocking. As soon as we entered they offered us a small table and asked if they can give us a bigger table as wanted more space to which they did. So we ordered the so called famous TAVA GRILL good job we ordered for only 3 and not 4 with the horrendous sides. The chicken and lamb curry was so bland no spice or seasoning at all and then the chicken, donner, lamb chops, wings were raw mixed with frozen chips and naans I literally felt sick and just wanted to leave the place and to top it off the waiters were staring at us whilst eating which left us all very uncomfortable. The biryani looked like Uncles Bens rice packets mashed up altogether I can go on and on but I was not impressed after hearing good things about this place it really has not been a pleasant experience at all shocking service and very very disappointed never again will I enter this place. #RantOver

It was my first time ordering from this place, I ordered through Ubereat, and paid about 17£ with uber charges and this is what I got from them, this is a starter dish not a main course dish! This was my first time and it's the last one as well.

Had a lovely time here the staff were very polite and helpful the service was one if not the best service they were very attentive to us all the place was very clean the food was delicious we couldn’t have asked for better will definitely be returning five star plus 👍

We ordered Tava for 6. Excellent food. Donner was a totally different taste to the bog standard donner from the majority of takeaways. Lamb chops slightly tough. Chicken boti was nice and tender. I would rate this 5 BUT the chicken masala was bland and not at all tasty. I hope the owner/s read my comments. Definitely would go again but not for the red coloured chicken masala.

The service was fantastic. Food arrived quickly. The waiters were very friendly and polite. Food was on a tawa. Kebabs were delicious and chicken and lamb karahi were awesome. Was given complimentary teas after meal.
