Lovely people, lovely food, something for everyone on menu. Really enjoyed our take away from here, quick service but cash only.

I haven’t enjoyed a Chinese meal so much for many years. It was lovely and it seemed like lots of younger people were cooking and preparing.

Very hit and miss . The special chop suey and spring roll were pretty good, but the sweet & sour chicken balls were some of the worst I've ever had. Rather disinterested young girls at front of house, somewhat shabby surroundings. I'd try it again, but I'll be more cautious with my ordering .

We ordered a take away by phone and it was ready bang on time. This isn’t the poshest place around but our Hot & Sour Soup, Pancake Rolls, Prawn Crackers, Noodles with Prawns, Sweet & Sour Chicken and House Fried Rice were all tasty enough. You can see inside the kitchen and everyone was busy cooking fresh dishes. It’s cash only.

Absolutely disgusting…never in my life have I seen a chow mein look so repulsive…and so bad I couldn’t bring myself to eat it. It had no vegetables and was like jelly! Wow! Cash only again too - scandalous husbands food was vile and went straight in the bin, £60 later we bought out the frozen pizza from the freezer.

Really very good, the phone order was read back to me for the takeaway so there was no mistakes, was ready bang on time, nice and hot and not expensive for decent Chinese food,,, will be back 😁😁

Best Chinese. Everything is always so so so so good. I particularly like C1 which is a different take on sweet and sour chicken balls.

Never again bland chicken fried rice no flavour burnt spare ribs and I’ve never seen yellow bbq sauce the best thing was the prawn crackers the most expensive posh crisps I’ve ever had I will not be going back ever again worst

Had four different dishes, worst takeaway we have ever eaten , chow mein soggy and mushy smelt like old socks, crispy beef was soggy with no hint of chilli or flavour, everything was bland, beige with no flavour awful

I know that many people have written negative reviews about this chinese take-away but I found it excellent. Ordering was simple and my bill of £20.20 was accuratly computed. I liked the open kitchen and saw our meal being prepared. We each had a generous helping of king prawns with fresh sliced ginger, spring onions and a lightly spiced sauce plus two portions of rice. We had a good meal, quickly prepared and at a reasonable price. What not to like! Just one word of warning, they don't take cards.

Visiting the area and phoned the order through, queuing system in shop seems silly as if you are going in to collect and pay for food you have a long wait still. Once the food is cooked it is put in plastic containers, bagged up and put on side table (I saw where it was collected from) so it already starts to go cold. As we were staying nearby our accommodation had no microwave so we couldn't re heat it. Beef in black bean was very watery and flavour distorted. Banana fritters were chewy Chicken chow main was more like a portion of beansprouts. The overall price was very high and the quality poor. Very poor and wouldn't recommend or use again.

We are down on holiday and have used this takeaway 3 times in the last few weeks, I can honestly say the food is excellent, very reasonably priced, and ready in a flash. I particularly loved the chicken curry and egg fried rice. I love being able to see the kitchen area and the food being cooked. Keep up the good work..

I don't like posting negative reviews but I felt I had too on this occasion. I placed an order at K Yuen on Tuesday of 2 portions of Crispy chilli beef and a salt & chilli ribs. Firstly the crispy chilli beef was very soggy and mushed together and the ribs had so much cartilage in them, they were very dry and overcooked and hardly any beef on them. I contacted K Yuen and the owner was very polite and apologetic and offered us something else on the menu or a full refund, we asked for a full refund (£18.80) My partner went in to collect the refund a few days later and was only given £12.60. I called back and the owner said there isn't anything he can do as on the ticket it stated just 1 crispy chilli beef. I told him who it was that took my order but he still said that nothing could be done so I didn't receive a full refund. Unfortunately, the food is very bland and lacks flavour. If the owner wasn't so polite, I would had rated 0* if I could. Sorry K yuen, we won't be coming back.

Rang order through having added it up from last years take away menu. £14.90 but this year £20.20 and cash only. When I collected they were not able to produce the new menu so I could compare prices. Mediocre food, sullen service Won’t be bothering again

I love the food from here. I like that you can see into the kitchen and watch them cook. I prefer the Wet Chow Meins over the dry; more flavourful. But above all... grab a pancake roll or two - they're stuffed full of yumminess! 😊👍

2 take aways from this place whilst on holiday in west bay. Food was amazing! Over the holiday we had chicken fried rice, egg fried rice, chicken omelettes, sweet n sour chicken and the best spring roll we’ve Had in our lives! 2 visits, everything perfect so 5 stars from me

I drove past here a couple of weeks ago. I was hungry and couldn’t be bothered to google “best Chinese in Bridport “ so took a chance and boy did it pay off. I have been here twice now.I wanted to write a review after my first visit, but thought maybe I’d got lucky and wanted to try again just in case. This is right up there with the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. And I’m well travelled enough to know that I’ve uncovered a gem of a takeaway. You can see the staff cooking your food when you go in, it’s proper home cooked food, not just your sugary sauces straight from a packet(as a lot of Chinese takeaways can be). Absolutely Fantastic. Visited many times in the past, always particularly enjoy the beef curry and chips. Service is generally always quick and the menu is reasonably priced.

Great value for money. Large portion would definitely use again. Ran out of meat mini spring rolls so made some fresh.

Collected a takeaway from here for my family. We had a meal for three plus a couple of extra meals. It was delicious. Everyone enjoyed what they had and we will certainly use this outlet again.

We were staying nearby for a few days and wanted a Chinese. Having read awful reviews of the other take-away we chose this one. I would prefer to give it 3.5 stars as it was above average but wasn't exactly 'very good'.We telephoned the order and it was ready for us to collect. I liked the open plan kitchen so you can see what's actually going on!The food was OK, I think we're spoilt ]as we have an excellent chinese at home, but this was certainly edible and quite nice.We had satay chicken to start which was nice with a thick satay sauce. We had the sweet and sour chicken strips, but I will say that the battered chicken strips did taste a bit odd, not sure if this is the oil that's used to fry them? We also had chicken with cashew nuts which was nice, plain rice and prawn crackers which were nice and there were plenty. I have to be quite careful with Chinese food as it can sometimes make me ill (I think it might be the MSG they use) but I was absolutely fine with the food from here. If we were staying in the area again I would certainly return.

We have tried all the Chinese takeaways in the area and this is the best. The kitchen is open plan so you can not only see how clean it is but also how hard the staff work preparing your meal.We have used them for over 20years, and sometimes the order has been wrong but always been resolved no quibbles.Our favourite dish is the Crispy Lamb with Pancakes, same as duck and pancakes but a little bit more tasty and a bit cheaper. My wife loves the Stir fried ginger and spring onions with king prawns

We had been working hard with friends all day and decided to have a chinese takeaway as a little treat. So glad we did. The place is as clean as a new pin. 5 star food hygiene certs up on the wall dating back several years. The server was charming and the food amazing. We shall certainly come here again. Lots of veggie options and the pineapple rice is to die for.

We popped in for a takeaway the first night of our holiday and it was up there with some of the worst I've had. The chicken balls and chips where reheated from a big pile right Infront of me as I waited! The chicken balls where inedible with a nasty stale taste. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Having been using this establishment for over 20 years...never again! Food this evening was vile...total waste of money. Avoid Avoid!

Surly receptionist.... sweet and sour that’s more like tomato ketchup, okay chow mien... all in all very underwhelming, especially when it was a 10 mile round trip to get it. Wouldn’t bother again

We are locals & have used K.Yeun a few years back but the food was always cold & not very much of it,they only filled their containers half way.And generally dry 7 un-edableThe front of house staff have always been curtious & helpful.But since December 2018 we have used several times either for ourselves or as a party of people.The food is really nice & generally hot exept the Rice always needs to be popped in the microwave for a min whilst dishing out the rest of the meal {we live 2 streets away so should be piping} But it is very tasty.If you go during the week the containers are properly filled-go at peak times over the weekend & your portions get smaller.

Spent £30 last night on dinner for family. Live 2 minutes away. Dished up and served. All food was like warm and tried to re heat in microwave??? Tasted wrong and took back again.. WONT be goi g back....

A standard Chinese takeaway from the outside/inside but food is exceptional and very good value. They will adapt dishes for you - e.g. no mushrooms, added heat.

We decided to have a quick and easy dinner and chose K. Yuen take away in Bridport. On the collection the order wasn't complete and instead of a 1/2 of the crispy aromatic duck, which we had ordered and paid for, there was only a 1/4 of it in a bag. We had to wait quite a considerable time for another 1/4 of a duck to be prepared. When we got the duck out on the plate it was dry and burnt. Several months later we thought we'd give them a second chance and ordered a 1/2 of the crispy aromatic duck again. This time the order was complete but again the duck was very dry and burnt. Once you see the picture I took I won't need to say any more except I won't be ordering from K. Yuen EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Best King Prawns Anywhere. Very Helpful and Friendly Hands On Family & Staff. Takeway in Centre of Busy Market Town with Lots of Attractions on the Lovely Jurassic Coast.

Rude chinese male manager with no customer service skills was my first observation when ordering a take away. .Impatient, with no idea how to treat paying customers.

We stayed near Bridport camping, & decided on our last night to treat ourselves to a takeaway. Cannot describe how disappointed we were - neither ate more than a few mouthfuls of our food.

Don't live in town so don't often have takeaway.so bit if a treat....or not.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken, special curry, and a portion of chips.The chicken looked disgusting it was dry, the batter was gross and the sauce was a load of gloop. The curry was tasteless and the chips were soft and soggy. Used to rate this place highly, now wont ever go back.

I USED TO USE THIS PLACE ALOT BUT NO MORE.

Crispy beef chewy and slimy, orange chicken was again slimy and the sauce tasted like it was made from cheap concentrate orange juice not fresh orange. Crispy duck not crispy quite fatty and barely got any meat mainly bones.

Inedible, slimy food. They missed items off our order & gave us two dishes we didn't order. The chicken still had knuckles. There were bones in the Duck pancakes! Gross gross gross. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss.

Low quality food and service. Seemed friendly enough at the till, but it all went down hill after. Cartilage curry, soggy prawn toast, no chilli in Singapore fried rice. We gave a written list of our order and they still missed some items off. Bones in the duck and in the chicken too. We won’t return.

Incredibly fast service; when you order, you can see the kitchen go crazy with activity. I have enjoyed most of the dishes I have tried here.

We ordered a takeaway from here a couple of weeks ago for 3 people instead of our usual choice which hasnt been great lately. First mouthful of my partners chicken curry was something akin to a chicken knuckle, he’s usually unfazed with food but spat this out, attempted two more pieces & then gave up. My chow mein was covered in a grey jelly with a strange very un-chow mein taste which was really unpleasant. My daughter’s chicken chow mein had pink/red meat and the same sauce by which time we advised her not to eat it and binned the whole lot. If there had only beennissue with one dish we would have called to complain but with all dishes actually inedible we couldnt be bothered. All of us agreed by far the worst Chinese takeaway ever and never to return. I cant believe there isnt a decent Chinese takeaway in the area at all and it is apparently acceptable to serve this utter rubbish to paying customers. Shame. On the plus side its put us off takeaways for a long time which isnt a bad thing!

Wanted a Chinese takeaway in Bridport so gave this a try. Excellent food, didn't have to wait long. Can't park outside but council car park 10m down the road, 20p for 20mins parking. There's a plastic box with menus on the outside by the door so you could get a menu out of hours & phone an order in.

Very busy takeaway. Very popular with locals and holiday makers alike. Sadly collection only no delivery. Reasonable prices for good quality food.

No hay aparcamiento justo fuera, pero hay un pago (gratis después de las 6 pm) a unos 100 metros por la carretera

4 de marzo del 2017 fue una noche muy mal por que el Sr. K Yuen. Intenté llamando por una hora y nos fuimos a la orden y recogida. Teléfono involucrado mucho pero recogió un par de veces, poner en mí y luego recogieron y se podía oír todo lo que pasaba en el fondo. Pocas personas en la cola, pero sirvieron quickish. Sr. K con jóvenes ordenados y me dijo Yuen creo que tienen problemas con el teléfono y él dijo que sí y que no podía pagar con tarjeta, así que me fui a la máquina de reintegros en cajeros! Se unió a la cola de nuevo, esta vez a la derecha de la puerta y en la acera. Llegamos a la parte superior de la cola y esperamos y esperamos y miramos y vimos. Mientras esperaba me sorprendió escuchar a la chica que se las órdenes dijo a un cliente que el teléfono estaba tomado de el gancho como demasiado ocupados para tomar pedidos y luego de nuevo a mi sorpresa al ser tomado pagos con tarjeta - No me gusta que me mientan al joven Sr. K Yuen! ! ! ! ! ! La chica rubia con vasos altos en el fondo el boxeo comida en jóvenes Sr. K Yuen y tener un ir sobre él preguntándole a hacer cosas, ten cuidado si quieres mantener tu trabajo! ! ! También se cayó una orden de comida en el piso en su contenedores lo admito pero que fue recogido y enviado! Después de una hora de espera me dieron mi comida con una disculpa pequeña para la espera. Afortunadamente la orden fue correcta pero no tan agradable como es normal, a veces tengo casa con falta algo, pero no tienen una ventaja de un frito de hueso en un recipiente de fideos que supongo era una ventaja. Usando K Yuen durante años y años y estaba muy decepcionado, no regresaré allí durante un tiempo porque el mentir acerca de la Telefónica jugando cuando realmente no lo era. También tengo que pregunta el 80 peniques por transacción con tarjeta, creo que están haciendo un beneficio del 100%.

Best in town. Special fried rice amazing. Longest established in the market town of Bridport. 30 years + so speaks for itself. Reasonably priced for excellent food

Elegimos un menú para este lugar de camino a Bridport el día anterior, entonces pedimos por teléfono y recogió a 10 minutos.

Este tiene que ser el mejor para llevar Bridport tiene, la comida es increíble, no hemos tenido un mal de ellos pero para llevar y han sido pedir desde aquí por años! Hicimos el estúpido error de pedir de un par de fines de especias era realmente asqueroso (hace ver Mi otro comentario) ahora nunca orden desde cualquier otro lado, pero k Yuen.

Nunca tuvimos una mala comida. Toda la comida es sabrosa y buena. Las patatas holandesas son excelentes. Traslado en una comida y al Tigre de pop en Barrack Street, mientras ellos preparan.

La comida aquí es siempre bastante bueno me gusta el pollo satay, y panecillos pancake son muy bonitas también, cocina también está abierta, lo cual es agradable

Worst chinky I've ever had. EVER !!! Rubbery, very bland. Very poor greasy food. Very very disappointed. Can't stress enough how bad it was waste of £52.

Thoroughly recommend getting a Chinese takeaway from here. Food cooked in plain view, and quickly. All six of us enjoyed our selection of food, and they were happy to make a special order meal. Top grub.

Extensive menu. Food is really tasty, not greasy. Service is very good, and menu contents explained with recommendations.

K YOUNG Chinese take away messed up not just once but twice in one week then the prat was arguing on the phone in till the young girl in the background turned around and said we sent the wrong food and then the owner apologised to me The same thing happened about six months ago never again. This place is a joke you have just lost a long term regular customer. My advice to you is get new counter staff what can do the job. This what you get for employing children

Ok - it's a takeaway, but the warning bells started when our food took about 30 seconds to arrive.Really awful, bland and spectacularly rubbery!....

I like K Yuen. Have had serveral takeaways and all of them have been reliably delicious. What I also like is that they are willing to make little changes to dishes to accommodate personal taste. I love ginger in my food and they always are happy to do this for me. The service is friendly and efficient too. What more could one want from a takeaway? Full marks!

Was looking forward to my Chinese take away. It was nice and hot when it was plated up. We live in charmouth. Beef chow main had plenty of flavour but it was also salty. Chicken sweet and sour Hong Kong style was ok but to many water chestnuts and bamboo shoots.

Quick service, dishes with good flavour and plentiful. Nothing spectacular but not expensive either.

Always use this takeaway and have never had a bad one, super fast cooking and nice to be able to see it all being cooked in front of you

I was reccomended this take away as the best in Bridport and despite not looking too inspiring the food was very good so give it a try.

We often have Chinese takeaway from K.Yuen, It's the best in Bridport, can never fault it. We are always served efficiently and politely.

Have been a regular for at least 30 years, vary rarely have cause to complain. Really enjoy their Beef Chop Suey and Kung Do Ribs. Well worth a visit

I always like to try chinese food on my travels to see how it compares. This great takeaway has an open kitchen so you can see your food being cooked. In terms of quality, I have to say the food was excellent and probably one of the best chinese takeaways I have tasted and comparable to what you would expect from a Restaurant. My family liked it so much that we went on a number of occasions during our trip to Dorset.
