Just Thai on the Heath in Wakefield

The foods are very nice and have many options from customers on the meun. The atmosphere is so romantic. If you feel too dark, they would offer you a light on your desk.

First time coming and the food was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be returning, think weve found a hidden gem 💎

Absolutely awful experience. Ordered tiger tears. Cheap cut of steak cooked badly with mediocre salad. Complained and were left waiting for 20 mins. Eventually went to bar to ask to pay while the head waitress berated the poor waitress who made a minor mistake with order. Cringeworthy and appalling way to treat customers and staff. Avoid.

Had to wait 20 minutes for a drink, had to ask for cutlery at each course, Starter was under cooked, soup was OK, very small bowl, main course was tasteless and had to wait a further 10 minutes for the rice, ordered Jasmine rice but got plain rice, overall experience was not good, will not be dining at Just Thai again

Drinks menus without pricing. "slow cooked meat" pasty and tasteless. For £16.95 (not including rice) you would expect the quality of the meat to be at least okay. The meat served was rancid. I thought the meat was beef, instead of lamb, sent it back and the chef came out with a cut of lamb and beef on a small plate to prove it was lamb. While she did prove it was lamb, she also proved how disgusting the meat was. So I ate the rest of the meal and left the meat for the dogs. Cannot eve leave tip on card for staff. 🤦‍♂️ Meat-free dishes were tasty, as was the beer. We'll be driving in to Leeds instead next time.

No idea how reviews are not better.2 nd time of eating and lovely service and food.Seen comments on salad but it's not worth mentioning ! Ya go for food and I'm fussy...but not got one complaint ou don't go for the salad!!

Had crispy chicken with sweet chilli and chips Pulled belly pork in bbq sauce with salt and pepper chips where to start the salt and pepper chips to die for the belly pork wow the sweet chilli just right and the crispy chicken so crispy really good sandwiches Will be back very soon for more would just like to finish by saying the bar staff in the King's Arms are always so friendly

Fabulous Thai food, fresh, full of flavour and excellent value for money. Great atmosphere and service. We keep going back, it takes some beating TBH.

Not worth the visit ... even tho the kings arms is magnificent this that on the hearth was so disappointing. I know Aldi salad in a bag when I see it. £26 for steak that was a cheap fatty cut.. This is nothing special at all. I visited thieves market in Castleford, also Thai, for those thinking was lovely. Please try thieves market and then see what Thai food is.. Portions were small , I got slow cooked beef. This was chewy and cubed. Just because there's a fancy carrot flower on my plate doesn't make up for the lack of over priced tasteless food honestly it's weatherspoons food but In a fabulous setting.. I really can't see this being here in 2024. Goes to show then the pub was packed, outside and in and there were empty tables on a Friday night. Felt sorry for the staff who are always amazing in the pub but they must feel ashamed to bring people food like this. People will try this once and then not return. Staff knocked off the £26 steak meal as soon as they saw the fatty leather on a bed of shop salad... Anyhow try for yourself . But it's nothing Special at all...

The food is wonderful, what a welcome addition to the King's Arms.

Service sluggish some staff members where grumpy. Food was very poor, fresh fruit and veg but the flavours seemed off compared to other Thai places, a lot left from various members of our party but servers didn’t ask why their was full plates of food when clearing table nor did we get a check back to comment on the food. There are better Thai alternatives in the area.

People who say the food here is 1 star have never tasted good Thai in their life! The food is packed with flavour, fresh, well presented and the chef who comes out is lovely. The staff are friendly, food is served piping hot and you don't need to wait long. The restaurant is still honouring the old building aesthetic that everyone loves the Kings Arms for, but with a lick of paint and some beautiful Thai accents. We both loved it and will be back.

The food, atmosphere and service were all amazing. Easily the best Thai restaurant in Wakefield.

Had a chicken salad which was inedible due to the crazy hot dressing 4 people at the table and not one of us could eat it 2 members of staff asked how everything was I told them both but nothing happened so I ate the one chopped up chicken nugget from the top and got something to eat on the way home

First visit here and will definitely be back! The menu was varied with plenty of options to customise the dishes. The food was full of flavour and portion size was very good for the price. Staff were friendly and was nice to see the chef out front checking everyone was enjoying the food.

Love the Kings Arms and this is a brilliant addition- we came for some lunch, and the food came quickly and was absolutely delicious, and really fresh. We’ll be returning! It’s refreshing to have this kind of food in a traditional pub.

This place need to sort out their online booking service...... unprofessional! Booked a table and got immediate confirmation as you would expect as it is with all restaurants offering online booking........As we were about to leave the house, we received another email saying the booking is unsuccessful as they are fully booked!!?? No apology was offered, no explanation was given and no reply to my complaint. UNPROFESSIONAL and totally lacking in common courtesy. Needless to say, we will not be dining here in the future.
