I recently stayed at this hotel, and its location was absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Parking was a breeze to find, which was a great bonus. The highlight of our stay was having breakfast with a stunning sea view — truly a beautiful way to start the day. The staff were incredibly lovely, always helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and had an amazing scent that added to the overall relaxing ambiance. Highly recommend for a wonderful stay!

Wow! This Is My secend favorite hotel the staff was extremely fredly they gave a up grade to the beach the breakfast was extremely tasty and it was a buffay and you could get lemendade and fresh fruit for free and my room was so big and very comatable and I wish I could go here more often but I could because the hotel is so quiet you could work up stairs or down stairs and they swimming pool was so comtable and even the sauna was so comatable that I nearly fell aseelp this is one of the best hotel ever in Brighton and Hove wish I could come more

Wonderful hotel 100% recommended and will be staying again!

I use the gym there, it's by far my favourite gym, it's quiet most of the time, pool, steam room, sauna. Makes me love going to the gym after work.

Incredible service! Amazing experience! Karen at the front desk was so kind and welcoming and very helpful. We had just had a very bad experience at a different accommodation and she was able to flip our whole day around and provide much needed positivity and excellent service! We will definitely be staying at the Leonardo more often and we hope to be greeted by Karen again!

Very hot rooms, only 1 key for multiple guests. Beds on wheels are very dangerous as they move even just sitting down. Very loud at night from inside and out door,.. very clean and tidy looks like it's just been decorated (few parts missed like lamp shades) great sea view, close to everything you need in Brighton. I would stay again just bring earplugs

Discounted parking close to the venue. Very friendly customer service telephone representative that helped us with the parking. It went all down hill from there. We used our wedding gift voucher here and we were greeted by the manager who couldn’t find my partner’s name on the system. Instead of apologising for his error or the delay, he kept moving through the check-in. He seemed so friendly with the couple before.

The room is huge and clean, but the chrome play in the room did not work. I was unable cast youtube on the tv. The location was really good, easy to get to the city centre and brighton pier. The mobile check in and check out option did not work. I checked in using my phone but never received a text saying the room was ready, I waited until 7pm and the text never arrived and I went to the reception to check and been told the room is ready and collected my key. The online check out feature never worked, I still have to queue at the reception to give back the room card to check out. Lastly, the staff at reception and housekeepers was friendly enough. But the guy working at the coffee/restaranunt area was snoobish and never provided me service. I also spoke to two other waiter and asked for the drink menu and no one offered me service but was serving other tables. In the end I had to wait 30mins and asked a younger waiter at the bar to make me two coffee.

Always a perfect stay. Very clean rooms. Fantastic breakfast selection. Special mention to the reception team, Casey and especially Teo who helped out with a cancellation query booked through a third party. He went the extra mile to rectify and help. I’ll only book direct with Leonardo hotels now. Many thanks and see you soon

The outside isn't the best looking, but walking through the front door opens into a massive central atrium. The gym and pool are also nice, with plenty of equipment.

My previous experience of the room was very good. Now the room I stayed in seemed very tired and not maintained well. I would try this hotel again, one more time before I look else where. Staff and facilities seem really good.

When we came we saw on website that spa works till 8 but we were told at reception that they will close it in 10(it was 5:50 when we came). Then all food that is supposed to be served 24/7 is not available. The waitress could not divide 27 by 3 and told me “you can divide that how much will be or you want me to divide?”. It was extremely rude. The woman on reception was mean, she didn’t know any rules. The restaurant didn’t have cauliflower, broccoli, milk, lids for cups which was disappointing and made us wait for our food for 40 minutes, because waiters didn’t know what they have in the kitchen. When I asked the waiter for candle because it was my friend’s birthday he laughed and left, never brought any. All staff members were slow and not polite. When we were waiving to ask for a bill (which we had been already waiting for 20 mins) they saw us and kept talking, only after they have discussed everything they decided to come to us. This hotel is big big disappointment in general, definitely will never stay here again and will not ever advise to other people to visit it.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The service is atrocious for a supposed “4-star”. The brand should be ashamed. The receptionists were very rude, and even though we asked for a 1 hour late checkout, to let our toddler have her nap. The room service BARGED in at 11:15 demanding to clean the room. Terrifying my pregnant wife and 2 year old and ruining everyones day.

Didn't stay overnight. There for a meeting. Friendly, helpful staff.

It was friendly, spacious, cozy, and clean, so I had a comfortable stay. There are two types of water, carbonated and regular, and the bed was very comfortable.

What a gem of a hotel, right on the beachfront. At a reasonable price, we received the most professional and courteous service from pre-check in through to check-out for our overnight stay. It's the little things that count, and Leonardo Royal in Brighton pulled out all the stops for us. From the pre-check-in courtesy call, to the beautifully presented welcoming reception area (with free lime-infused water and fresh fruit for the picking) and faultless, friendly staff through to the complimentary bottle of Chile Merlot and the discounted parking at The Lanes Car Park. The beds and linen are top grade. Thank you Jerome, Maggie and your team. We will definitely be back soon.

Great rooms, great location, great breakfast and great price. I go to Brighton often on business trips and this has become my go-to hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful, too. I was checked in by Teo who was really professional and had some great recommendations. Overall, it's one of the best places that I've stayed in at Brighton and I plan to come back.

Venue was lovely and a nice place, we had a party there. It was good they gave gluten free options but the food was lacking. It was ashame that the gluten free option was fish, it was lovely and would eat it again but I missed having a roast dinner! Only other thing that was disappointing was the DJ wasn't very good. Apart from that it was a great time!

We stayed here for 2 days, the rooms were very clean and we had a very beautiful view to the sea! The staff was also helpful when one of our keys stopped working!

Stayed for a concert at the Brighton Centre. Great location. Reception staff were amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Large family room that had all the comforts needed. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Once again friendly, helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Short break here recently for three nights. Room was not serviced once, had to call housekeeping. Breakfast was good.

Came as part of a group but stayed with my partner longer. Puzzling place. No concierge at the front entrance with some guy sloppily leaning on the reception desk unresponsive when checking in instead. Homeless people at the front that make for a very unpleasant experience entering. Some French guy with cigarette breath hovering around check in upgrading rooms asking for guests to mention him on reviews. Saw him later again in some kind of ski coat looking like James Bond outside with a tall Amazonian women talking about firing the restaurant manager and the bar managers. No one at the bar whenever my partner seemed to want a drink on multiple occasions and when there were bartenders they couldn’t make classic cocktails instead recommending a cocktail bar nearby. Lovely service in the restaurant but hefty prices. Great breakfast. Frank is the star of the show at this hotel and saved the hotel from my partner and I making an huge complaint. And it was lovely to be greeted and told goodbye by the actual restaurant manager. Funny old place. Can’t really complain because of the prices but it’s quite sad to see all the cracks on show.

On arrival we were met by a friendly concierge and receptionists and my wife politely asked as it was miserable weather that they could bring the sun out! They said they would try and to our astonishment upgraded us to the penthouse suite which was WOW! lovely huge suite big comfy bed, shower and bath, separate lounge with a perfect sea view. Fantastic night in brighton and a good nights sleep. day 2 the sun came out! delicious buffet all you can eat breakfast and still the friendliest staff we have ever met( sorry i set the toaster alight with a croissant) .in summary i could live there. thank you so much. my only regret is not remembering the staff members names who were above and beyond.

We couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The location was perfect for the sea and visiting 'The Lanes'. Both just seconds away. The view of the sea whilst having our breakfast and evening drinks was just so lovely. The hotel was really lovely.

The staff were absolutely phenomenal here. They all went above and beyond to give us the best experience! I didn’t the first room I was allocated and they went to great lengths to find me a better room and gave me a room with a partial sea front view which was an upgrade. The rooms were very comfortable and cosy and clean! The main area is absolutely beautiful and breakfast was really good. We ended up staying an extra night because of how much we enjoyed our stay! It’s in a great location opposite the sea along Brighton Waterway and a walk away from everything! Parking was a little expensive though - something like £20 for the night. When I was there back in July 2023, the lifts were also not working which wasn’t great we had to use the service lifts near the smelly bins. Also would’ve been nice to have croissants at breakfast but that’s just me being picky 😊

Different view point here from the side of being hired here the head chef was half an hour late to my interview and the general manager was very rude.

What an amazing stay! Greeted by lovely staff, super quick check in with clean rooms and a solid on sight gym, pool sauna and steam room. Stayed for my birthday to watch a stand up gig and the Mrs requested a glass of bubbly in the morning for a surprise but the hotel Provided a lovely tray of pastries, choccies and a FULL BOTTLE of bubbly which really made the morning/day special. 10/10 would absolutely recommend

It is impossible to reach the hotel. I have a coat that I forgot in my room and after they said they would help, I sent follow up mails and tried calling several times, but no return. How can you expect people to reach you when you are not answering your phones or mails? I find it extremely disrespectful.

Rooms a little tired but very clean. Excellent staff sorted out a small problem immediately. We expected a sea view for the cost of the room. Breakfast was not included either. Expensive for a sleep!

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand und zur Innenstadt „the Lanes“. Hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet! Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, was man besonders im Badezimmer sehen kann (Stockflecken, Kalk etc.). Service ist gut aber nicht zu freundlich!

Despite very nice and supportive hotel staff, I been quite unlucky with room. Location of the hotel is good, quite noisy because it’s just next to train station. Room is dark, with very limited light. Bathroom looks very outdated. Shower curtain which originally been white now with yellow stains and plaque from water. You have bath instead of shower which okay for many hotels. For me it’s just feels so unhygienic. The only light in bathroom - light from the mirror, half of which failed twice. No coffee at breakfast. Coffee machine is broken and kettles with coffee were empty. Because of work I’m staying in deferent hotels all the time. This one is the one I’m not looking forward to comeback.

Fast and friendly check in, nice and spacey room for our family. The lobby is very impressive and breakfast was good. Parking in The Lanes next door straight forward and easy access. Superb location for all things Brighton. Overall recommended for families but only negative was our son who has multiple allergies couldn’t be accommodated at breakfast.

We stayed for one night in a family room. The room was lovely with two big beds. The staff in the reception area were lovely. One guy gave the kids colouring packs and sang happy birthday to our daughter on checking out when he saw her badge, which made her very happy. Breakfast was great, a big selection including lots of fresh fruit. My only issue is the pool was a little cold. The children still enjoyed it and asked when we could go back to stay!

Ideal location. Hotel is within walking distance of The Lanes, the seafront, the Dome, the Pavillion and Brighton Centre. Staff are incredibly friendly & helpful and the breakfast selection is plentiful.

The inside of the hotel has a lovely grand feel. Very helpful and friendly staff, nice sized rooms and good utilities. Bar staff were nice, great drinks. Happy with breakfast too. The pool was a nice size for relaxing in, but the pool, sauna and steam room were all below normal temperatures.

Excellent location and nice family room. Only marked down due to not being able to cater for my son with nut and sesame allergies. Staff were friendly when I asked if they had an allergy menu and what was safe for breakfast, but I didn’t physically get presented with an allergy menu to feel confident enough to proceed to get a breakfast for my son. It would be helpful if the hotel could have an allergy friendly section (as they have a small gluten free section) of pre-packed and labelled food such as cereal bars, nut safe cereals, yogurts that are in pots safely labelled, safe pre-packed breakfast muffins, etc. This would be massively beneficial to anyone with life threatening allergies.

We really loved staying at this hotel and will be back again. I called beforehand to change from a double to a twin room and central reservations were of no help, but as soon as I spoke to someone at the actual hotel, they couldn't do enough. Annie at check-in was ace. So was the lady night porter. The rooms were great with 2 big beds, good shower and great air conditioning. It was a bit annoying that our key was deactivated twice, but I figured out this was the magnet closure in my bag. It was just a long walk back to reception, so be careful. We had a room with a view into the large atrium. Breakfast has a really good selection but the temperature of the food on the hot buffet was too cold, that was my only complaint at breakfast time. We were there early enough to grab a seaview table which was lovely. We used the gym and swimming pool and were really disappointed that 1 treadmill and 2 cross trainers were out of action and the staff member had no interested in talking to or helping anyone. Which was the complete opposite to what we had experienced everywhere else in the hotel. It's a superb location, with access from the front to the beach or the back to the lanes. You can't fault it.

Came for breakfast (as a none guest). Great service from really lovely staff and whilst it wasn't a cheap breakfast the choice and quality made up for it. An entire table, including dedicated toaster, for gluten bread free bread and cereal.

It's pretty much near the pier. Staff were friendly, rooms were lovely and clean, and there was lots of space.

I booked a standard room for my partner's 30th birthday and asked the hotel if they could surprise him in any way (I was thinking maybe a couple of balloons and a note on the bed) but to our surprise, Tyler on reception (who was really friendly and smiley) told us we had received a complimentary room upgrade to an Executive Suite with a sea view! When we got to the room, there was a bottle of prosecco, a card, chocolates and crisps for my partner. We were blown away by the customer service and will definitely be back. The hotel also smelt really nice throughout, really clean, and is in a very short walking distance from shops, restaurants and the beach. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable - we'll definitely come back. :)

We had a wonderful stay here recently. Having lost our home to a house fire, we were in a bit of a state but the wonderful Karen at reception put us at ease and did everything she could to make our stay as convenient as possible. The rooms were spacious and nespresso machines were a welcome touch. Breakfast was brilliant and the location couldn't be better. We will definitely be back!

Another amazing stay at this hotel. Stayed for the weekend. Room was great with amazing views of the sea. Breakfast was delicious. Room service was perfect after a long car journey to get to the hotel. Staff were lovely. Michael, the general manager, had left us a bottle of prosecco, chocolates and crisps in our room, on our arrival. Great location for getting to all amenities and shopping the lanes too. Swimming pool and facilities were great too. We have stayed here 3 times already and will definitely be back next year.

Great location, very well presented hotel. All the staff very friendly. First class breakfast with a chef available for omelettes and pancakes. Beds comfortable and good sized rooms.

When we arrived to the hotel at 14:30 the room wasn’t ready so we waited till 15;00 till check in time. At 15:00 the room was still not ready and they asked to wait another 5-10 min, after that we ended waiting one hour for the room to be ready. Fair enough probably short staff and also they offered us free breakfast for 2 days and 2 free drinks. We got to the room, everything was nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable, the view was amazing. The bathroom was okay, except for the door that was very damaged on the inside probably from the water coming from the shower and also the towels on the hanger they were dumb like they been used before and not changed . After 1st night we wake up early in the morning and got out of the room so maybe the housekeeping can come and clean the room or leave clean towels and more sugar, coffee and water. We even left the paper on the door that’s said we need clean. When we came back around 1pm to get something from the room, nothing was done, the paper on the door was turned to the side that’s saying sleep in or something like that. I found that very rude to do, we didn’t need the room cleaned, just the towels to be changed and some extra sugar and coffee. Besides this everything was nice, quiet and lovely view from the room. I will definitely try it again.

We were attending a concert at the Brighton Centre & the location of the hotel was perfect. The reception staff were helpful, explaining the spa & breakfast facilities well (although we didn't get time to use the pool, so I can't comment on that). We had a standard double room which was very spacious, clean & comfortable - the coffee machine was a nice touch. The breakfast was very tasty with quite a large selection of both continental & cooked breakfast & we had a lovely view of the seafront from our table. Added bonus of reduced parking cost. It was not the cheapest place to stay, but all things considered, I felt it was worth the money & would stay again.

Stayed in the penthouse suite when it was the Jurys Hotel. Loved how the suite had 2 bathrooms, with seaviews from both the bedroom and the sitting room. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Wish it were pet friendly. Can only come as a couple without our dog.

A super Hotel !!! We were upgraded to a very comfortable room with an outstanding view by a lovely receptionist who really could not have been more attentive. We ate in the restaurant looking out to sea from a table immediately by the window. Food superb and service outstanding. To top off the overnight parking cost was a fraction of local car parks. Was surprised by how nice this hotel was. It is now the Royal Leonardo Hotel and offers a high quality standard of stay . The reception and public areas are spacious, bright and modern. The rooms are large and have superb facilities. I had a meal in the restaurant - superb (had the seafood pie , can highly recommend) . Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good choice of hot and cold options. And on top of that parking in The Lanes car park was almost on site and so convenient. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again.

Won’t be back. Used to be a regular, staying a few times a year. First stay since 2020 for three nights. Lobby and lifts stank of chlorine, Room tired with worn carpets, wet carpet in the corner of the room, no soap in the bathroom and hairs and dirt No soundproofing, incessant music from the foyer all day and evening and could hear people in the foyer all the time, then people in the other rooms and above. Absolutely no soundproofing! No decent sleep. The car park was stinking with human faeces and urine and the lift area filthy. Homeless using the car park. Nothing good to say! And I used to be a regular. Will stay elsewhere Won’t be back. Absolutely dire.

Stayed one night and no hot water to shower no apology told the boiler was broken and would be fixed later in the day - this is not much use when you need to check out

Enjoyed a surprise lunch with friends - service team were very young and Brighton looking [positive] - service was good and the food was great. Food was better than expected for a large hotel in the middle of the afternoon.

Quite simply fantastic 👍😊 . Great room with seaview and full English in the morning . Highly recommended , we'll be going again for sure .

Most pleasant and friendly staff, room too cold and not adjustable, breakfast facilities lacking, great location but not up to the usual Jury's standard.

Fab rooms and value. But. Wouldn't take cash, or even give free water.

Problems with plumbing meant a bit of an adventure to find working toilets. Good was great, as was restaurant, until you looked up and saw the netting that was doing the ceiling tiles from falling - building needs a bit of tlc.

We stayed here for the Brighton tattoo convention last week. The night time receptionist Peter was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, he went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after for everything, can’t speak highly enough of the staff & the breakfast! We will definitely return! Thanks for everything Peter!

Everything about this hotel was difficult. Tried to check-in three times and only managed to do so by 5pm. Very late check-in to start with, at 4pm. There was only one check-in desk and massive queues each time we needed to approach reception. We booked an executive suite which felt more like a downgrade. The "executive" room actually turned out to be nothing more than a room for the elderly or disabled with a special access wet room instead of a shower and bathtub. However we didn't fancy queueing up for another 5 hours to ask to change our room. Neither reception desk nor room service ever picks up the phone. The room was filthy. Dust everywhere. Windowsill and doors were peeling. Airconditioning was broken. Towels were dirty. The hotel is next to a club so you hear loud music all night. I don't know how this hotel achieved 4 or 5 star rating. The hotel toilets were also not cleaned. We were very disappointed with our stay. Avoid.

Stayed for 2 nights with my family. The kids loved the pool and the room was perfectly adequate if not very big. There was an issue with a lack of towels for the pool and the breakfast quality was not really up to other hotels, however it’s in a great location and the rooms are quiet. A sea view was requested but clearly the hotel didn’t have any available as we looked out over the reception.

We stayed the night for our sons graduation , this was a last minute change as the hotel we originally booked was under renovation. Initially a bit concerned as the hotel entrance looks a bit worn and has a broken sign however on going into the hotel and entering reception area things improves a lot. I was really impressed with the staff everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious , bed was comfortable , the pillows were a bit of a let down though as there were not very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the shower hot and powerful. Breakfast is a buffet style with a choice of English and continental styles. Would definitely stay here again.

Love this place, it is very clean and well organised, breakfast it's the very best, also during my stay at the premises 1 of the team member s Angelika was ever so helpful, she helped us finding some good places to visit in the seaside and places we could walk.
