Love the decor, and the relaxed feel to the place. Food is great, fresh and tasty. Such a shame that there isn't better parking, it's Street parking at your own risk.

Absolutely terrible food. Avoid! Today I ordered from what appeared to be a lovely Caribbean takeaway. Food was delivered via Just Eat in a good amount of time. All of the food was hot when it turned up and that's where it went downhill. The food was terrible. The Rice & Pea was mushy and had no seasoning, the curried goat (if you can call it that) had no spice, covered in grease and was so salty it was inedible. The Salt fish dumplings didn’t taste of fish at all and the patty's (again, if you can call them that) were horrific. The Beef one was like an English beef mince in gravy, no spice at all! The pastry crust which was obviously home made didn’t resemble what a patty should be, no flaky shell and didn’t taste right. The Jamaican chicken looks like it had been sat under a hot light for the last week, also inedible! I come from the part of the UK with a massive Jamaican/Caribbean community so I’ve eaten a lot of Caribbean/Jamaican food before, and I’m shocked this has been passed off as Caribbean food. The owner/chef/server should hang their head in shame! All the food went straight in the bin! I won’t be ordering from here again! ___________________________________ Response to the owner! It was under a different name but I'm sure you've not made the order above for anyone else today! Regarding your comments around it not being suited to my palate, I've had better Jamaican Patty's from a service station on the M1! You know what you sent out didn't meet any standards! I've looked at your reviews and it appears you only care about your in-house food served in your restaurant as the poor reviews are mainly takeaways! Maybe someone else needs to take over the responsibility of responding to reviews because this isn’t the right way to handle a poor review left by a customer who spent £40 to throw it in the bin!

Talking from a customer who went through the collection for my food via pre-order on june plums website Upon entry to collect, I still got customer service as if I was waiting for table a and wracking up a bill In fact I wasn't I took advantage of a meal deal for one Caribbean style The mix it up deal for 17 but I got goat so went up a £2 I think which is nothing stil under 20 and I used their 15% off if ordered as a 1st timer. I mean, the cocktail alone is 7.50 but you get that as part of the deal too and because I was early for my collection I got to sit and the bar watch it be made and have a good typical bar chat with some lovely ladies that work there so as for atmosphere you come out feeling better than u went in and that's I'm pretty sure a good sign of a well run business... the food was the best goat I've had and I've tried quite a few! Also a comnon issue i find is the dumplings are oily, but NOT HERE!! HIGHLY RATE Could recommend Better!

We had a great experience here, the lady who runs it was so friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, as were the the drinks. We've been a couple of times now and both times we found it a friendly and welcoming place.

We were looking for an authentic Jamaican restaurant, wow, we were not disappointed. This restaurant has everything you want for a fabulous evening. The food is mouth watering and delicious, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The selection of rum cocktails is amazing. We all had the jerk goat, it was melt in the mouth amazing. The sweet menu looked awesome, but we just couldn’t manage another bite. Highly Recommend.

We've been to eat here 4 or 5 times now. . . never been disappointed. Nice friendly atmosphere, friendly staff who are helpful & attentive, and the food is consistently good. Fairly limited menu, but they do what they do well!!

Love this place. However this time a few failings. Although the food is always delicious, we felt this time it lacked its usual flavour. We also had a few issues with the menu. We ordered from the children's menu for our daughter which should have come with a drink of squash, which was never received or mentioned. I also ordered the living it up meal which should have come with a fruit or rum punch again this was never received or mentioned. It also said the living it up was a main meal of your choice so I opted for curry goat, when the bill came there seemed to be a £2 surcharge for this, again no mention of this on the menu or so I remember. These are minor insignificants so I never mentioned it in restaurant. However for feedback I think staff need to be little more aware of the menu offerings.

I enjoyed the vegan Ackee with rice and peas. My husband had the prawn curry. Both excellent. The pineapple crumble desert was tasty. Great service, both waitresses were friendly and efficient. Also recommend Ma's ginger beer.

Just ordered curried goat. 12 quid with no rice. Not even mentioned in the menu that rice is extra. Half empty container with a few bits of meat in. Waited hour and a half for that. Poor

I was cold when I walked in , but hot when I left! Food is BANGING! Stopped for lunch and basically left with heavy eyes for the rest of the day! Wholesome good food... Curry goat was seasoned perfectly, no salt n pepper involved at the table 😅, goat was so tender 😩😩🤯🤤🤤. Dumplings I normally prefer them a bit sweet, but still... Banging! The plantain... Shut uuuuuup! Sweet, crispy and delicious. Oh and the home made ginger beer packs a punch! Love it! Will defo be back. 🤤

Food wasn't acceptable sent back. food was soaked as driver spilt drink all over food on delivery . driver was also very rood and was driving around with 3kids and wife in car doing the deliverys wife also started shouting at me to take the soaked food

I have been wanting to go to June Plum for ages and wow was it worth the wait. I can see why this restaurant has such a great reputation. The menu is great and has a good variety for all food requirements, cocktails were tasty and ambiance was good, but I would've preferred to be downstairs personally as upstairs is quite small. Would highly recommend 👌🏻

First time here at June Plum and enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the staff especially our host she was extremely chilled and made for feel at home and relaxed. Nice little gem in Wellingborough. Wellingborough could do with more little places like this.

A very nice restaurant, friendly service but there was something missing from the food. We ordered a few things. The jerk chicken was nice and smokey, not much of a kick from the jerk sadly. The jerk pork was missing the jerk unfortunately. Really nice pork belly otherwise. The rice was a little soggy but I appreciated the coconut milk in it. The Patties were good but missing some salt in the beef patty. Must be said, they smelt amazing. It is really nice food, just wish it had a little more oomph.

Our friends suggested going to this restaurant as they had amazing takeaways , I cannot fault the food , however the service let our experience down, we waited 35 mins for our drinks at this point our food order hadn’t been taken, after 35 minutes our drinks had arrived and food order was taken , still waited another 45 mins for our food to arrive , the sides were wrong , two sides didn’t even come with the meal so I’d eaten the chicken before my fries arrived . My friend went to the toilet and was screaming because part of the ceiling had rumbled on her head , the waitress asked if she was ok and that’s it , didn’t check the ceiling didn’t check on our friend. Its a shame like I say the food was delicious it was everything else that let it down.

Just Eat did not have any drivers near by to deliver food. In this situation restaurant kindly offered to ring Just Eat them self and in the end had to deliver food by them self too. I typically order JP as a delivery, but wanted to have a nice evening dinner a couple nights ago. Really enjoyed the new Jerk chicken spring roll. Had wanted to try the homemade Guinness Punch but unfortunately it was sold out that night. There was a bit of a service wait on the food and drinks at times too. Overall the food still was amazing and would eat there again, perhaps at a less busy time of day in the week

Mac and cheese good but cold, coleslaw watery, chicken Sando, pea shoots and tomato with a bit of chicken hanging out of some bread. Maybe wrong items ordered but not for me

Been using what was jamrock since was in the b&m car park years ago stopped as quality went down a couple years back tried again today small portions and quality wasn’t great real real shame

I really enjoy eating here, the goat curry is a go to for us. We visited again last night and loved the pork belly. I’ve included a rubbish photo of the generous and hot portion of the childrens mac n cheese with rice and peas. I always like the atmosphere and chilled fun vibe inside the restaurant. There isn’t on site parking, but you may be able to squeeze in on the main road. They have baby changing facilities here too. Worth the visit if you want some flavour with your dinner!

Lovely place, the food needs a little extra flavour ordered the Ackee and saltfish. Very stingy portion considering the price paid, goat patty was burnt but dumplings are lush. Also bottom of pot rice, was ok tho!

After waiting past the estimated delivery time for my meal, I was gutted by what came. The punch was lovely but the roti was like no roti I’d seen before. I expected a flaky roti filled deep with meat. Instead I got what resembled a flatbread style pizza with different sauces and a sprinkling of meat. I’m so disappointed I could cry. My bad for not checking out their social media for images of the food first. I’d have ordered another dish.

Wow! What a lovely restaurant! Warm welcome by the very nice man who served us most of the night. Knowledgeable about the food we was unsure of,goat curry was absolutely delicious! Ordered far too much but was given a box to take home on which the grown up kids in the house demolished! Think a family trip is in need of now! Very reasonable prices for such quality food. Very impressed, will be coming back! Also,loved the recipe cards and brought some spices to try,great touch.Thankyou to you all

We have been here in person and ordered many times. It has been very positive and a true taste sensation with homemade fresh food. Upon this time my vegetarian partner ordered the jerk vegetables to try. Unfortunately we feel it wasn't as advertised. Mixed vegetables with hummingbird sauce marinated in jerk sauce. We recieved peas, chillies, courgettes and it was moslty all brussel sprouts! we unfortunately do not like Brussel sprouts (of course you weren't to know)we were expecting it being a jerk dish, similar to the saucy curried jerk chicken i ordered, but without the meat. We're talking, cauliflower, potatoes, peas, carrots for a hearty delicious veggie meal. Unfortunately it was more comparable to a thin watery oil and didn't have any flavour. I really didn't wish to negatively impact here at all. Every other bit of food tonighnt and whenever else has been packed with flavour and absolutely superb, even the rice! this won't stop us going and it is a wonderful independent business. We unfortunately just feel very dissatisfied with the vegetables and the price which we would of been happy with for £6 instead of £13. Of course you put so much passion, hard work and love into every single meal. We think the vegetarian chicken jerked with vegetables would be amazing! Thank you for reading this constructive feedback (on the one dish!) we do look forward to ordering again soon.

Had Sunday roast dinners delivered, one chicken, one beef. Food arrived on time, was hot and delicious, big yorkshire pudding, lovely tender meat, tasty stuffing and plenty of gravy.

We had a really wonderful meal. The food was delicious and there was a great deal of choice, for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike. Also there was a wide range of drinks and the Red Stripe went down really well. We were very full and satisfied. The service was excellent and we had a lovely time. I would definitely recommend going.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! We don't eat meat so was amazing to find a place that offers options for our diet... Fantastic. Rice and peas is phenomenal, everything was seasoned to perfection and arrived hot! Love that you guys use cardboard boxes instead of plastic, love the variety of choice on offer and how tasty everything was! Definitely recommend the ackee but I am confident anything you order will be fantastic!

We went here with a group of friends on Friday, it was AMAZING! Delicious food, lots of options - especially for fish and vegans. Really friendly and so hospitable. We wanted to stay all night! Will definitely be going back - think it would be a great place to hang out all night. Loved it 💜

Jerk chicken packed full of flavour not as hot as I am used too but will certainly back for more. Fries well seasoned and tasted fresh. Only thing not to my liking was the beef patty which seemed to be lacking any real flavour or spice. However all in all I look forward to using June Plum again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend

I normally love June plum but this order wasn’t good at all. The order was 1 hour (give or take) earlier than estimated which isn’t ideal. The salt fish fritters were nice, but the fries were plain and very under seasoned and the plantain was soggy to the point where I had to use a spoon to eat it as it was just mush. Also the whole order was cold which again wasn’t ideal.
