I enjoyed being in this pub and I think it was getting renovated so I am not sure they had the full facilities.Music was alright and the DJ was playing good songs but considering other pubs in Shoreditch this one was not that great considering the experience I had.

Quite a few things on the menu weren't available so was less an ideal. Chicken is good but not exceptional. Pretty pricey for what it is.

I booked a table in Jubo for my birthday a little while back. My friends and I arrived and our table was still occupied, which left us with a 20 minute wait to be seated. The restaurant itself is tiny and cramped, so we had to stand awkwardly in the doorway until we were shown to our table. Not a great start. The food is mediocre. The menu isn't particularly extensive, which can be a good thing if a restaurant does a small selection of dishes really, really well. Jubo does a small selection of dishes, but not really, really well. Okay is probably the best way to describe it. It's not horribly overpriced, but not cheap either given that the service and food isn't worth a whole lot. Overall, it's not somewhere I would ever choose to go again, but not somewhere nightmare inducing either. My advice? Save your money and go around the corner to On The Bab.

Both my girlfriend and I bit into the chicken drumsticks and blood came out. When we complained to the waiter he told us that it was definitely cooked because they use fresh halal chicken! Fresh? The thing was almost alive. Jubo agreed to change it. As we were waiting the couple next to us told us their chicken had blood in it too, but they didn't have the heart to complain. We received our second batch of chicken and again it had blood in. It was full blown bloody around they bone. Serious health and serious issues. They bought a third batch (which we asked for to be cooked longer than usual) of chicken strips instead of drumsticks and they were fine but by the time we got served neither of us had much of an appetite and were a bit worried about getting sick. Thanks Jubo, your staff are pretty rude too!

We came here as it looked nice and busy but without really recognising much on the menu. Very pleased we did. Service was excellent and we chose well, guided by our waiter. Korean fried Chicken strips were a great choice and is (understandably) what they're known for. Another highlight was the Bulgogi rice bowl (so good we ordered a second out of pure gluttony). Reasonable prices too. Our only gripe is the use of fractions for menu prices - a trend we're not fans of! We would certainly recommend Kubota. Our daughter claimed it was the best Asian meal she'd ever had.

Visited for a Monday evening dinner with my partner. Restaurant was empty but we were met by a surly staff member who seemed really put out by having to seat and serve us. We were sat in an out of the way corner which smelled unpleasant. We shared the Chicken Dinner Platter with hot sauce. It was a large portion but distinctly unmemorable - nothing special and I've eaten better Korean fried chicken elsewhere. The platter came with 3 sides. Crispy lotus roots were quite nice, though I've never had them before so have no point of reference. Kimchi was nothing special, and again I've had better in other Korean places. Third side was the dumplings, which I didn't have but my partner enjoyed. We had a beer each. The beers are quite expensive and probably not worth the price, but the rest of the meal was good value for money (in terms of cost size for portion, not necessarily for food quality). The average food was let down by really poor service. The one waitress working wasn't interested in serving us - she took ages to take our order and bring the bill, and was really quite grumpy and short with us. She clearly didn't want to be there and that showed in her attitude. Also, a chef in the kitchen was playing really loud music and singing loudly which wasn't pleasant to listen to. All in all, you can get much better Korean food elsewhere in Shoreditch and Hoxton, within 5 minutes walk. If you can't be bothered to walk elsewhere go to Jubo - you won't come out hating it, but expect to be underwhelmed.

A terrific dinner. The Korean food was designed to share, and the Korean Fried Chicken was hard to do this with - so yummy. We tried the flavoured soju, along with the banquet menu plate which had a selection of dishes on it. Highly recommended.

Order the chicken dinner platter for £37.5 which gives you 8 wings and 8 strips and 3 sides. Little bit too much for 2 people and should be perfect to share between three. You can choose from 3 sauces for the chicken, garlic, hot, and volcanic. Volcanic is quite hot and the other two are okay. Something you need to know about the chicken -- the chicken is not hot enough for fried chicken, they are just warm; And the chips are cold. Not very impressed. Not recommended!

Went to the restaurant. They have their menus all over tables on the bedroom bar side of the partition. Sat at one to peruse the menu. Waitresses walked past me for 10 mins as I tried to make eye contact. When I saw them just waiting near the counter I went over to politely ask why I hadn't been served. I was rather bluntly told "we're not serving that side" and rudely turned away. Not giving this place any of my business.

The chicken strips were nicely done with flavourful and crispy skin. Between soya and hot, I would go with the soya option. Don't get Ja Jang Myen. To start, black bean sauce is really a Chinese thing. The noodle was soggy and nothing really special. The kimchi seems like it's store-bought.

The outer look of the business is interesting and unique; however it does look more like a bar (if it is) than a restaurant. Very friendly and kind service. Good however, was not the best; our meal felt like chicken and chips from dixies or something, only 10 times more expensive... Ow andn"hot" was not as hot as I thought ot would be. Wouldn't recommend as a place to rry, which we did

Been here a couple of times to meet friends. The place has a limited menu serving a mainly a variety of chicken wings and buns. The chicken wings are really tasty, for people who are lazy with bones, the chicken strips are even better. I personally like the their take on Japchae (korean glass noodle salad) which I think they make very well. Drinks are mainly from the bar next door. Nice easy place to eat and worth visiting.

Jubo (Exmouth Market) After a long hard day at work and a beautiful warm Friday evening - the question do we eat in or eat out. Easy has to be out but where? As locals to EC1 Exmouth Market has to be top of the list and as decisions go that is easy BUT where and what to eat - a tad more difficult! So much choice - ah but what do we have here Jubo (Korean) something new, menu looking good and a cute little table for two not quite outside but pretty close. Service great and friemdly. So much to choose from but we opted for crispy seaweed (seriously the best I have ever tasted) forget the Chinese version. Korean fried chicken and kimchi slaw with bacon wrapped asparagus and tomato and seaweed rolls. Well excuse me the fried chicken was so darn good had to have more - seriously! Food heaven - one of those rare moments when you don't want to stop eating. Followed by two exquisite cocktails 'k-town mistress' oh yes let the weekend begin.

It was either a rice dish or a salad. I would have chosen noodles as it was in the same section but was told I could only have rice. This is rubbish for being in London and in 2015!Oh also the main sharing dish that my 8 other friends chose took 45 mins at least to come... so arrived well after the mains were all eaten.

The food was not more than okay but the most awkward point was the poor service.First of all, one of the staffs was very rude - did not contact the eyes at all, even no say hello, and ran away from our order sign.Second of all, although they took the order without any mentioning and served poor sort of cocktail, they started to clean up our table - What a horrible service! When we went there was around 9 pm and our 2nd order was 10 pm. If they cannot handle it, why did they receive the order? We got the drinks just a sec ago!Third of all, they carried our cutleries away immediately once we left them on the table. So we had to eat all of them under pressure.I was really shameful as I brought someone who doesn't know Korean food and wanted to try for the first time. Here this poor restaurant should feel lucky with the location!

With its strip of excellent Vietnamese restaurants up towards Dalston, it’s not hard to find somewhere to eat near Shoreditch, but if you want to expand your horizons, you’re hit by the usual expensive chains and fancy burger joints. Jubo is a great alternative. The other reviews comparing this to ‘upmarket KFC’ aren’t far off the mark, but if you’re craving delicious fried chicken at a reasonable price, you could do much worse. We had a few sides, which were nice, but as expected. Service was friendly, albeit swift – there’s a quick turnaround here, so it’s not the sort of place you can while away the time. Perfect for a quick bite before a night out.

The Korean fried chicken is fantastic, crispy, tender and flavoursome; and has been consistently good over several visits. It comes in flavours soy glaze, hot or volcanic - my favourite is the hot, as it's spicy, but not so spicy as the volcanic that it covers the flavour.I don't know any other place in London that does fried chicken as well as Jubo.Go for the platter - 8 strips, 8 wings, and 3 sides. Very good, tasty food and service in this informal restaurant within the Bedroom Bar music pub in Rivington Street, Shoreditch. Not being very familiar with Korean Food, we asked the very helpful waiter for recommendations and he suggested the Volcanic Korean Fried Chicken, which is something I would normally avoid (if I want KFC I reasoned, I would have gone to KFC). KFC it wasn't. It was a well balanced, hot, spicy sweet and tangy fried chicken with a great crunchy batter, flecked with sesame seeds. A bit salty, but hey, that's what the beer is there for!Steamed pork and chicken buns, barbequed beef and barbequed pork, were all very good too.Prices seemed very reasonable as well (particularly for Shoreditch), and don't miss out on the happy hour between 4 and 7 pm, Mon - Saturday where you can get two really great cocktails for the price of one!

As a Korean who's had his fair share of frickin (fried chicken), I can safely say JUBO does the best Korean frickin in London. What some people might not know is that there are a lot of different kinds of fricken in Korea, with big franchises pushing different styles/recipes - for example some are fried in olive oil only, some have a special "yangnyum" (marinade/glaze) etc. so it really depends on personal preference. Saying all that, there a number of places popping up that are producing their own brand of "KFC" that doesn't, in my humble opinion, fall within the wide range of KFC options I've ever had in Korea. This is not the case with JUBO. JUBO's soy garlic recipe and spicier options (hot/volcanic) are well-executed and would not be out of place in a frickin place in Korea. The volcanic is a personal fave - give it a go if you can take the heat.If you don't know, now you know!

Soooo, having decided to write more reviews on trip advisor at the start of the month I thought that I would never be one of those people. You know who you are, you go to restaurants and nothing ever pleases you and you have the worst luck when it comes to food and service compared to everyone else. You are the 1-3 star max kind of person. My reviews have all been 5 star so far as price is rarely an issue, it's all about food and atmosphere with me, I will even take poor customer service if I enjoyed myself!BUT, after going to Jubo last night with the "lads" I was very disappointed. I am all about advertising great niche places in cool areas of London. Shoreditch is cool, laid back and full of a wicked social vibe and I think this place is making fun of the people that go there. This is a pop-up at best (it's part of a pub) which basically charges you an extortionate amount of money for a posh Morleys! This is not authentic Korean street food, don't get me wrong the food is nice but it's just bbq fried chicken with average sides and small pork buns thrown into the mix. 6 of us with beers was over £150 and I was definitely Hungary after. The service is slow and direct - they could care less about the authenticity of the restaurant or about the customer experience. You get just as good chicken at a cheaper price with better service at your local Favourite Chicken. Save your money and your dignity and go somewhere else. It's not cool or hip to have Korean food in shoreditch, it could be but this is not the way forward.Sorry, I really wanted to like it. It's unique and a good change from burger joints and posh pub grub. I really think it gives pop-ups and the London food scene a bad name. 3 stars, it would have to be a nightmare to be less.

Great find in the middle of Shoreditch, food was delicious. We both had Jubo special, 2 fried chicken drummers, 2 strips coated in a glaze of either garlic & soy, hot or volcanic hot, and a bottle of beer. Great value and more than enough meat. We went for half and half of the soy and volcanic hot- both so different but so tasty (hot wasn’t eye watering either but still v spicy!)Vibe in the restaurant is great but a little strange, as we walked in two (what I thought) were waitresses greeted us and then began chatting. When I asked for a table for two they looked in the direction of the tables, I guess it’s more of a walk in find a seat for yourself kind of place. We then saw it was happy hr till 7, so my bf went to the bar to get drinks, then a waitress came over to take our order, annoyingly! Food came quick, as I said worth going back for, but we were then abruptly given the bill despite wanting more drinks, I think they must want to turn tables pretty quickly. All in all a yummy dinner, in a cool place, not bad value either

For this order, I was less than 10mins from the restaurant (collection only) I got a call to inform me that the menu has changed and at least 3 items that I ordered was no longer available, so they had to cancel my order. Needless to say I was annoyed, since I had made the order (which was accepted by the restaurant) hours before the collection time, but was never informed of this menu change. Also, if some of the items werent available, they should've at least suggested some alternatives from their new menu, since more than half of the items were still available. The fact that I had to make a 20 minutes journey to pick up the food didn't help. Please update the menu promptly next time or at least give customers abit more than 10mins notice before cancelling an order.

I love Korean food and really wanted to try this out. Came with a friend on a Wednesday evening to line stomachs ahead of drinks elsewhere and it was fine. No booking needed. The restaurant (cafe?) is part of a bigger bar and seats I would say about 40 covers max. Nicely decorated with some cool K-film pictures on the wall and a large serving hatch to the kitchen. We ordered a couple of cocktails each (happy hour). Can't really remember if I liked them but were inoffensive. Food wise we tried: 3 types of wings - very big and the hot one was HOT so be warned! The pork buns - very nice. The lotus root chips - nothing specialKimchi-slaw - no real taste of kimchi.Few things more I want to try on the menu and I am planning on going back with another friend soon. No issues with service and food was decent. Worth trying if you are in Rivington and fancy a quick bite. Shame we had no Korean people actually running the place. I’m not one to write negative reviews but I feel people need to be made aware of the shambolic and quite frankly offensive dining experience myself and a group of friends experienced at Jubo recently. Hopefully it will stop a few of you parting with your hard earned cash here. The meal didn’t get off to a great start, despite having its own dedicated restaurant space we were seated at a long table at the bar on a Friday evening with the World Cup on a big screen next to us which meant we had to shout to be understood by the person next to us. After 5 minutes of shouting across the table to one another we asked to move as there was a large table free in the restaurant. We were told no as they were expecting another group (who were now 15 minutes late). After half an hour and not even a drinks order taken they decided that the other group were a no show (if only we had the benefit of hindsight) so they let us move. After 40 minutes we were finally seated and had our orders taken. What followed next was the most shambolic dining experience I’ve ever experienced. My starter of chicken wings arrived after about 10 minutes, it was ok but not a patch on Patty and Buns effort and at £5.50 for three small wings seemed rather steep. My pint however was nowhere to be seen. My friends weren’t having any better luck, starters arrived for some, others got nothing or something they didn’t order. My pint finally arrived after I’d finished my starter with the feeble excuse that the bar was busy. One of my friends was so annoyed his drinks order had taken so long he’d gone to the bar himself and was served within 5 minutes, while I’d had to wait close to 30 minutes for mine. Those who ordered cocktails fared even worse as couple didn’t even arrive.Things didn’t get any better for main course. A number of us had chosen the pork pluma, my side of rice arrived about 5 minutes after my pint but the pork was nowhere to be seen. Two of my friends were lucky enough to receive their pork but their relief of getting a main course (we were now nearly one and half hours into the meal) was short-lived. The advertised rare pork loin was actually grey piece of meat and tough as old boots and so they sent it back, at this point I piped up and mentioned we had ordered three. Another ten minutes went by in which some other people got food or something they didn't order, my personal highlight being the waiter who plonked a plate down and couldn’t work out what meat it was, no doubt as it was all grey. Another set of pork pluma arrived, again there were only two and both were grey and tough as anything. At this point we had had enough and asked the waitress that we wanted to leave. None of us were prepared for her response that we would have to pay for everything we had ordered to do so. As we had now sent back two inedible pulmas with a third mia at £15 each not to mention other missing mains and cocktails this didn’t go down well and so we demanded to speak to the manager. After my friend recited the events of the evening he reluctantly agreed to take off everything of the bill that didn’t arrive and give a discount on the rest. He quickly disappeared and we were left to settle the bill with the earlier waitress who had no understanding of customer service and even after all of the above she still did not offer us an apology. In summary if your idea of a great dining experience is three chicken wings and pint for £15 spread over two hours to fully appreciate rude and incompetent staff this is right up your street, otherwise avoid!

The only other time I had had KoreanFC was in K-town in NYC.I have so far only had the set lunch box (£6.50). There is a choice of protein, side, pickle and sauce. I went for the chicken (of course), glass noodles and kimchi. I had the soy ginger sauce but not sure it really needs any extra sauce.Chicken was very crispy. Inside was perhaps a tad dry, but more than compensated for by the sauce on top. noodles and kimchi good.I went at midday on a weekday. It was super quiet. Went with a group of 5 friends a few weeks ago – and to sum up, if you're thinking of going, just don't, although there are some bizarrely good reviews for this place floating around – save yourself some disappointment and money and go anywhere else. The service is pretty useless – although we found the staff to be nice enough they didn't seem to have a clue having forgotten several items off our pretty small order and being extremely slow. We had to explain how to make a lager shandy having been told that they've run out of shandy and we kept on asking for some jugs of water which came, having asked four times, with the bill at the end of the meal.Korean food can be stunning and delicious – but the food served at Jubo is not, it's a poor excuse for Korean cooking – dry, flavourless, poorly executed and really expensive what you get. There are so many better restaurants in London why go to Jubo?

This was without a shadow of a doubt the worst overall restaurant experience I have ever had the misfortune of sitting through in my entire life - avoid like the plague. We booked three weeks in advance as we had heard fantastic reviews of the pork pluma, and so arrived at the restaurant for a friend's birthday meal with great expectations.Upon arrival we were seated right in front of a huge screen showing the world cup (at no point had we been warned that we would be seated in the busy bar area rather than the restaurant), where we were duly ignored for 10 minutes. After getting tired of the lack of attention, we requested that we move to another empty table in the main restaurant area as it was quieter and better suited to hosting a large dinner party. This request was rudely refused with no further explanation, and it took another 10 minutes of wrangling for them to reluctantly agree to let us move.During this whole time no one bothered to even take a drinks order. Finally, after being in the restaurant 20 minutes, we managed to flag someone down to take our food and drinks order. We then waited an hour, after which two pints of beer finally appeared from the bar. One of the beers wasn't the one we had ordered. After around 15 further minutes, a third pint arrived.Upon politely questioning when our other 9 drinks were going to arrive (we had been in the restaurant almost an hour and a half by then) we were told that it was our fault because we had asked to move, and that the bar was too busy (it wasn't). The waitress' demeanour and tone at this point were approximate to if we had taken a massive dump in the middle of the restaurant, which frankly, would probably have tasted better than the food when it finally arrived. Orders of food arrived haphazardly in dribs and drabs. The waiters didn't seem to know what anything was (mistaking beef for pork) and were jaw-droppingly rude at every turn. After approximately two hours, several members of our group had not been served anything at all, whilst others had already finished their sub-standard meals. When the pork pluma finally arrived it was roughly the texture and colour of a tramp's old leather boot. We sent this back, where it was duly re-served to us exactly the same. The third portion we ordered never arrived at all.By this point our waitress was doing an oscar worthy impression of a prison guard on a power trip. She was without doubt the single most venomous, rude and frankly incompetent person I have ever come across. Not once did she apologies for the appalling delays, sub-standard fare or blinding rudeness of her colleagues, nor did she make any effort to make any amends. When we refused to pay, she refused to get the manger, and after a tense and incredibly uncomfortable stand-off he was finally summoned. We were offered 40% off the food bill, but that still included £45 worth of meat that we were never served. Obviously we refused and finally they agreed to take off any items that never arrived and offer 40% of the remaining food bill. Again, though marginally less openly hostile than our Nurse Ratched-esque waitress, there was no real effort made to apologise for the poor service.Truly gob-smacked that this restaurant is still in business. All that it would've taken would be a quick apology right at the beginning of the meal for the initial delay, and we would've been happy to wait - lack-lustre service is one thing, but the audacious ill-manners of the staff were truly out of this world. We never did get our final drink either.

had the chicken platter and pork bun. the meat was really dry so quite difficult to chew. the dumplings were also drenched in sesame oil. the saving grace was the kimchi slaw

Waited way over half an hour for drinks (the restaurant's in a pub!), another 30-40 minutes for food, some dishes never appeared.Staff were rude and incompetent throughout:"uh this is beef for someone?"Nope, it was just the way overcooked pork pluma steak we've sent back once already.Being forced to recount every single failing to the manager before he would even think about offering a discount was very frustrating, but it provide some clarity: this was absolutely the worst dining experience of my life.

I am rarely compelled to take my ire to somewhere like TripAdvisor following a less than satisfactory eating experience, but Shoreditch's Jubo really took the biscuit in terms of dire food, obnoxious service from multiple staff and general ineptitude. I have no idea how they managed to mess it up so thoroughly. We went there as a group of 12 for a friend's birthday - it started with us being placed in front of the football with a few rowdy fans hooting and hollering. We asked to move. They made us seem very difficult but eventually obliged. By the time we sat down at the other table we'd probably been in the restaurant about 25 minutes and they didn't come to take the drinks order for another 15 minutes. I don't think I had my first sip of a pint until about the hour mark and I was one of the lucky ones - some people didn't seem to get their drinks at all even after repeatedly asking where they were getting to. Serving staff took all the onus off themselves and said it was because the bar was too busy. It wasn't. My friend was so irked by the wait he just went and bought a pint at the bar - served straight away. So either the bar staff are so thick they can't balance restaurant orders against those coming from people standing at the bar or the waiter was just lying. So some people got their drinks, and it was a similar case when it came to the food. It all came out in dribs and drabs with ignorant waiters walking over with food, occasionally not knowing what food they were holding, and in one case leaving it in someone's place regardless of whether had said they had ordered it or not. I actually did get my full meal - a mediocre veggie dish, but I was a lucky one. The guy sitting next to me ended with only having a side of rice and another had to send back their pork twice because while the waiter proclaimed it as being pink (and taking 10 minutes - hahahahaha), it came out completely cooked through on two separate occasions. They left hungry.Once we had all realised how hungry and thirsty we were as a group, we decided to complain due to the terrible nature of the whole situation. Upon letting the waiter know, all she could muster was some sassy attitude demanding that we had to pay the whole bill. That didn't really do Jubo any favours. We asked to speak to the manager and he was barely any nicer, suggesting that he could give us a discount but we would have to pay for the food we didn't receive... Beggar's belief really. Eventually he saw the light and changed his mind on this ludicrous 'deal' and we got 40% off the whole bill, which was scant consolation for a birthday meal ruined. Genuinely the worst place I have ever eaten in London and with so many better options nearby there is absolutely no reason to go to this joke of a restaurant.

The food at jubo is as expected. I'd describe it as Korean fast food. The chicken is tasty (both flavours) and the buns are good. The quality of the chicken could have been higher but it was seasoned well to make up for this. My big complaint was the service. We were there on a Monday night and there was a total of 12 ppl in the restaurant side. Yet it took an age to get the waitresses (only 1) attention. She'd then forget to bring things. Inevitably this ends up costing the restaurant as we had less beers than we may have drunk. Definitely worth trying but be prepared to be proactive when getting a drink!

I was very excited to try this place last night - and while the flavours didn't let me down (I had the hot and sweet sauce that got everywhere!) - the quality of the meat was quite poor for the expense. Essentially you're paying large sums of money for high-street chicken shop quality meat. The chips were very tasty, the service was friendly and fast and I loved the Korean coleslaw and atmosphere. But, unfortunately, unless they improve the quality of the chicken, I wouldn't recommend it wholeheartedly or return myself.

Visited here for a late dinner with a friend on a Friday evening. To me, the rough concept is what London's missing--fun, casual takes on Asian cuisine that doesn't take itself too seriously. This sort of place is easy to find in New York, LA or Toronto; not so here. So Jubo is a welcome addition. The Korean fried chicken is uniformly tasty (admittedly, hard to screw up, but it is very good). Same for bulgogi-and-cheese sandwich sort of thing and pork buns. Not health food but nice with a beer or cocktail, and all in all a fun and relatively inexpensive place for a bite. Staff and service friendly and efficient. Would gladly return.

Must say was disappointed in the wings and for the price wouldn't consider going back. We were given 25% off food hence made it bearable. Went with a Korean friend and he didn't have high hopes either. In all disappointed! Some of out group had the sub which they say was good so maybe it down to individual taste? Overall average experience.

For starters we shared a couple of Korean Fried Chicken, the Jubo Special £15, between the 6 of us - and which was very tasty (though a bit pricey for 2 drumsticks + 3 pieces). The shared main course was an advance-order special - the 1 kg Steak Ssam £60 which was served on a large cast iron platter with onions and complements (lettuce leafs for filling with the steak pieces, rice, kimchi pickle etc). Again, very tasty with the sauces, meat pink-to-well-done bavette (beef flank). All washed down with Korean Hite beer, £4.30 a bottle. Food not spicy at all, we added chilli sauce to hot it up! Serving size was very good, and great value, we stuffed ourselves.A great evening out in Shoreditch, fun venue, quite busy for a Monday night. Service friendly, very good.

Rarely do I write negative reviews but I came away very disappointed from a recent meal here. Came here on the spur of the moment on a Wednesday evening after noticing most restaurants were unusually busy. The menu looked good so we gave it a shot.Got seated straight away - the restaurant was about 75% full when we went. The waitress was very friendly and gave us recommendations on what to order. However whilst we were waiting for food one of the waiters (obviously new) came over and asked if we could move to a different shared table. We said that we were okay there so he made the excuse that it was a 4 seater and reserved. At this point we were ready to cancel the order and leave when our original waitress came over and asked what the problem was. The new waiter then backtracked and said that the other people preferred the table we were sitting at. Incredibly rude! Our waitress said 'no - they sat here first, and the other guests could sit at their original table'. Our waitress and the manageress were very helpful thankfully.Food came and the buns with pork were amazing! Just wish we had more. 6 pieces chicken strips (half soy/garlic and the other hot and sweet) were very tough though. Marinade was nice but the chicken felt like it was deep fried 'too much'. The gunmandu dumplings came as 4 pieces and were deep rather than pan fried - as another reviewer mentioned - and had no dipping sauce. You could use the sriracha sauce...but I found it unusual that a 'Korean' restaurant would put so much emphasis on a Viernamese condiment. It DID go very well with the Kimchi which was delicious. It was missing some starchy food - when we ordered we asked the waitress what was recommended as a side, for which the dumplings were (poor choice). If it had some rice or even chips it would have been better, but it was too late at this stage (we did ask but it would have taken a while for them to come).2 Bottles of Hackney Hopster were good value since they came in 500ml bottles. The result came to £37 between us with drinks and tip so not excessive, but I came out with mixed feelings due to 'okay' food and the poor service from one of the waiters.Would I go there again? - unfortunately that answer has to be no.

If you haven't had Korean fried chicken before, this is the place to start. Jubo a has concise menu that will appeal to a wide range of food lovers. The chicken remains tasty and crispy on the outside, while still succulent within. This layout and atmosphere outfit is urban, casual, and trendy at the same time. The drinks menu here is also very good with the use of some nice outlandish ingredients. If you're in the area, Jubo is the perfect place to meet with friends and catch up over a yummy meal and nice drinks.

So I went to Jubo in Shoreditch for some Korean fried chicken last night with my columbian, Venezuelan and Goan friend.Standing for five minutes whilst we are not acknowledged once or asked if we would like a table.A white couple walk in and get approached straight away being asked if they would like a table?I intervene and point out we have been waiting for five minutes to be finally asked if we would like a table. In the end we decide to eat somewhere where we feel acknowledged and leave.Am I correct in thinking this is due to the colour of our skin or is there possibly another logical reason for what happened?

I'm a massive fan of Korean fried chicken wings. Jubo does their wings well enough; seasoned properly and crispy. I had the mixed soy garlic and hot&sweet wings. K had soy garlic strips. We also shared a portion of the pork belly buns and gunmandu dumplings. If you're not a fan of chilli, you might want to ask for the pork belly buns to come without hot sauce in them. I'm a lover of heat, so I didn't have a problem with it. K, however, did.Four gunmandu dumplings came in a portion. We had one each and decided they were rank - very greasy and deep fried as opposed to pan fried. They're also very dry and should've been served with some sort of dipping sauce. What made this joint worse was the howling which occasionally came from across the hall where people were 'performing' when we were there. It did add to the ambience and canteen feel of the restaurant, albeit not in a good way.Oh, and the so-called Coke had a really weird tang to it. Total bill for two portions of wings, one portion of strips, pork belly buns, gunmandu dumplings, two soft drinks, and one scoop of ice cream plus tax and services: £46. Overrated. There are better places to eat for that kind of money in London.

I usualy don't bother leaving a review but I got so annoyed tonight I decided to leave one ... Was there tonight with a group of friends / familly, we bought three "big platter" and I almost laughed ( before getting angry ) when I saw what actually landed on the table ... If you're happy to drop £35 for a couple of chicken wings ( the cheapest piece of the chicken that I buy for 20cents in any market) and mini bowls of sides ( half cold chips and some ok coleslaw thing ) , go ahead. Definitely not a good value place and another hype stuff that people are gonna be queuing for anyway just cos it's new in town... Apalling value for the money... I complained to the manager , who royally offered us some more mini bowls of chips.... Awesome commercial gesture, really .... Anyway, I think there's so many nicer places in a city like London so keep you hard earned money for somewhere where you'll make the most out of it.

Sticky, chilli chicken and tasty sides good for a quick bite between cocktails at nearby bars. Not for a long, lingering meal, as it's too efficient and quick! But good for a bite on a night out. The sweet chilli chicken is my favourite, but both flavours good.

Huge fan of (still) under-appreciated Korean food, so excited not only to see this place open up, but for them to also offer 28% off in the first week. We ordered a large sharing plate of Korean fried chicken, with both glazes, a Korean soft bun with slow-cooked pork, and a couple of Hite beers. The buns were nice enough, if a little unexciting in comparison to others I've had, but still perfectly tasty. The chicken was the real star of the show, really well cooked, and both glazes were really flavourful and crispy. Service was generally okay, if a little slow when ordering our second drinks.

I went with a group of friends for the Doves lovely drinks, but then came across the new pizza menu. I had never heard of a Taverna pizza before, but they were absolutely delicious. We had a margarita and meat lovers and they were both gorgeous. How did chips and truffle tips to share. Wow

It was such a gorgeous, sunny Saturday, and after wandering around the street market, I really needed to find a chill spot to sit down, away from the crowds but still in the middle of the action. I stumbled across One Broadway Market, and just as I passed by, a table outside opened up—perfect timing! One of the staff greeted me right away with a friendly smile and made sure I was all set. I ordered a mimosa and their Spanish sausages with poached eggs, and just relaxed in the sun while waiting for my food. (I did sneak a look inside, and it’s super cool—lots of plants and a really fresh vibe.) The food was amazing, and the staff was so attentive. Honestly, if I didn’t have plans after, I would’ve totally had a second mimosa. It’s such a cute brunch spot, and I’ll definitely be back—and recommending it to everyone!

We rented the room upstairs for a birthday. The room was great but the staff was constantly coming to the room to check on us in a controlling way, sometimes even standing at the end of the room just staring at us. I was expecting more privacy from them, the atmosphere was awkward at times because of this.
