Off Broadway in Hackney

It was such a gorgeous, sunny Saturday, and after wandering around the street market, I really needed to find a chill spot to sit down, away from the crowds but still in the middle of the action. I stumbled across One Broadway Market, and just as I passed by, a table outside opened up—perfect timing! One of the staff greeted me right away with a friendly smile and made sure I was all set. I ordered a mimosa and their Spanish sausages with poached eggs, and just relaxed in the sun while waiting for my food. (I did sneak a look inside, and it’s super cool—lots of plants and a really fresh vibe.) The food was amazing, and the staff was so attentive. Honestly, if I didn’t have plans after, I would’ve totally had a second mimosa. It’s such a cute brunch spot, and I’ll definitely be back—and recommending it to everyone!

e just celebrated our wedding anniversary here. It surpassed all expectations! Just fantastic! The manager, Ibu and the team organised everything from welcoming drinks and cocktails, to the most incredible banquet with hot and cold mezze to clearing a space for a dance floor! All of our guests were saying how delicious the food was. the staff were warm, incredibly professional and nothing was too much trouble! (They even decorated the place with our old wedding photos and projected our wedding video) thank you guys for the BEST night. We'll be back to eat Soon! I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Ebo and Ali couldn’t have been warmer and friendlier with our raucous family party of 6. We had great food and wine especially the burgers and grilled halloumi. The koftas fried leeks and homous all excellent in this lovely restaurant with eastern Mediterranean cuisine and brilliant location at the end of broadway market by the canal. Also great value!

Some of the staff were not very friendly but the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting to stay. I recommend all of their smoothies

We never came to this spot much until Ibo took over! We often drop by for cocktails and drinks. This lovely restaurant has a great location at the corner of broadway market — a perfect date night spot. The appetizers are delicious and the hospitality is top notch. Thank you Ibo for infusing this space with so much warmth and classiness!

This restaurant is incredible! Warm, excellent hospitality. Excellent food, delicious drinks, affordable prices, and exquisite ambience: Gorgeous green plants giving fresh air, with the feeling of sitting in a charming Mediterranean greenhouse. I have Celiac, and it is difficult for me to find safe AND delicious choices, especially when I am traveling. They offered both, I enjoyed every bite. Ibo offered us genuine hospitality, laughter, and interesting conversation about travel. Highly recommend!!

After a long day, all you need is a place with a good vibe. I like the atmosphere here very much. The tapas are also nourishing, fresh and good value. The rosè on offer could be better.:)

Lovely time on the terrace with good food. Chill and good vibes by steps especially Ibo. Great interior treats us as well.

The place is super airy and a gorgeous quiet hideaway on a hot, hot London day. The turkish music in the background was relaxing; we walk away fed, hydrated, and re-energised. Thanks Ibo for your easygoing service and good sense of humour.

Came over for dinner as a party of 3. Tried their muhammara on the waiter recommendation and loved it!. Nice juicy steaks to follow and despite being full ordered a brownie to share. Our waiter brought a bigger one so we could share comfortable. Thanks Ivo!

Such a lovely and relaxed space in Broadway Market. Atmosphere is great and the food is AMAZING!!! We love particularly the chicken shish with the hoummus and the smoked aubergine. Don’t miss the margueritas 🍸🤩

Nice little restaurant with friendly service. We had a brunch there and watched one of the football games. Recommended if you are in the area.

Went for brunch. The organisation of the staff seems chaotic. My friend found a hair in his breakfast and the coffee wasn’t great. Won’t be recommending or coming back.

Great location - nice plants and conservatory feel. Burger bun was dry and falling apart, asked for manchego on the burger, came without. Service was average. Wouldn’t go again

Nice vibe and drinks list. Good for people watching. Mixed friendliness of servers. Ordered the aubergine and yoghurt which was yum, and the charred leeks and whilst the flavour was nice they probably hadn’t been washed as it was full of grit and dirt….. 😬

Ended up with not one but two Aubergine dishes (sandwich and yogurt) and they were both divine!! Bf isn’t even veggie and said he’d get the sandwich again. Absolutely adorable place and good coffee. Lots of people on their laptops during the day. Quiet and peaceful.

Amazing burger, medium fried! We told the waiter to add cheese to our burgers, but he probably did not hear and did not specify himself, he was not interested in increasing the receipt.

Service was absolutely impeccable! Even with a group stopping in for just a few drinks and light bites, Janet and Greg were amazing in finding us a table and the cocktails from Aycin were totally next level! (Love a nice spicy Bloody Mary!)

It was cool, arrived here by accident with friends and their children, the staff were super helpful, food was good and the venue was cool interesting, definitely worth a visit 💫

Nice food once it arrived, we waited over half an hour and other couples that arrived before us got their food first. Must have been a communication issue with the kitchen but otherwise nice food, nice server and great plants

There are so many plants in this place that it feels like a greenhouse (in the best possible way!) The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The service was very prompt. Some offerings gave middle-eastern leaning (sucuk, köfte). There's some unintrusive jazzy music playing in the background. In short, it's a very nice place!

I had to leave because I wanted to use my laptop, understandable if it’s busy but it was 80% empty and closing in a few hours anyway. If it’s empty anyway why lose one of the only customer’s who wanted food and a couple drinks. The staff were impatient were awkward when I tried reasoning with them that I was willing to pay too.

Nice interior but that's about it: sandwich made with the driest focaccia bread I've ever had, it was firstly served burned and had to be sent back, expresso that was served cold, unfriendly staff.. Much better options in the area, wouldn't recommend

Delicious brunch and best mocha I’ve had in London! Dog-friendly and earthy atmosphere. Food is really, really good. Will travel here all the way from West London just for brunch!

Easy chilled vibe... the coffee's not to my taste but cool otherwise

The ambiance is chilled and lovely as you are surrounded by many plants. I quite enjoyed the octopus with roast potatoes and padron peppers and their soup of the day (butternut squash) was very nice too.

Gorgeous atmosphere and great food

Amazing place great food super nice plants. Just a bit random pop loud music but then they turned it to more ambient cool music which was nice!

It’s a shame. Because this restaurant has really nice atmosphere and OK food. But the one older lady who serves tables (she has served us on the weekend a few times now) is extremely rude. No customer service skills at all. I simply asked a question about gluten (because I have celiac disease), and in reply she rolled her eyes, and sighed loudly to make it obvious she wasn’t happy being asked if one of their dishes had gluten in it. She never smiles or says hello or thank you. People like this shouldn’t be working the floor as it puts patrons off, and I’m not the only one to notice this of her. Won’t come back as long as she’s working there. This restaurant should get better staff and manage / train them properly.

Delighted place to find on a walk along the canal to pop up for a snack. Instead stayed for a meal that was truly so basicly beautiful and delicious. The welcome was warm, the food was fresh and delicious, the team gave honest recommendations on what try and the gorgeous greenery inside was so relaxing. I will be back to try more of this mouth watering menu. A great surprise to have a quiet Monday evening meal. We had the grilled prawns, calamari with delicious tatare sauce and split the main of Seabass and salad. So simple and tasty and fresh. It was honestly a wonderful meal. Thank you.

Went for a drink and was charged £24.08 for a large Rioja and a pint of Estrella. Extortionate price. Went back the next day after seeing it on my banking app, thinking it was a mistake and was told the wine was a double measure and it included service charge. Sadly I didn’t keep the receipt.

Beautiful glass covered, garden-like indoor space inside. A touch on the expensive side but a nice atmosphere and would come back again

Visited while staying in Hackney with my son for the weekend. Excellent vibe. Warm welcome from the staff, had a great meal, and enjoyed a few drinks afterwards.

Went on a Sunday lunch to have some snacks to share. I would never recommend this place, is over priced. The food is not the best and the portions are way too small. Sharing plates (at least the ones we ordered) were ridiculously small portions and on the menu they were for sharing.

El lugar es bonito, pero carísimo para lo que sirven, entramos por qué nos llamó la atención la terraza con las plantas... Pedimos LAS GAMBAS y vienen 2 Gambas LITERAL y secas,con un trozo de aguacate duro. Y el resto de la comida bastante mejorable... Poca cantidad para lo que te cobran y poca calidad Evítalo y pidete algo en los puestos callejeros que estará más bueno.

Really like this place. The staff are friendly and the back of the cafe is a bit like a conservatory- it is bright and filled with plants. It would also be a lovely place to being your laptop and come and work from.

Worst service!!! looked so cute and promising but we waited over 20 mins for a pint and a glass of Prosecco … service was shocking so had to leave! No excuse as it wasn’t even that busy :(

Bad service. Didn’t allow me to use laptop. They said can not use it in weekends. I was just in the bar in the corner not even in the tables.When I ordered they saw me using the laptop and said nothing. They charged me as normal. Not happy. It’s a pity as it looks like a nice place.

Amazing atmosphere, full of plants, feels very cozy and you can enjoy a cup of coffee! The staff was very friendly and polite! However their food felt a bit poor and not tasty. I had the avocado toast which was quite bad (was thinking how hard it is to make an Avocado toast?) Also it was a bit pricey.

Beautiful place, full of plants and a warm atmosphere, ensured by a friendly staff. But all above does not compensate very basic food… my Full English was very simple and missing proper spice (I’d recommend to use some salt), and my bf smashed avocado wasn’t really smashed (neither with spices nor with a fork).

Beautifully decorated - takes indoor greenery to another level! For sure 5* for ambiance and in general was surprisingly quiet inside given it was packed. We went for brunch at midday Sunday, admittedly the busiest point of the week, but the service was frantic. Whilst not too slow, they forgot part of our order yet at the end of the meal the skipped dishes where on the bill. I’d have a lot more sympathy if they’d been forgotten entirely, but to try charge us for something we didn’t have is just bad form. Particularly as is was already overpriced… Brunch was nice - could have done with some greenery, was all a bit beige. Bloody Mary close to being too spicy, I enjoyed it but my partner nearly cried when she tried. I’ll probably go back, but not in a rush to.

A very trendy place to be worth a visit

One Broadway Market, as the name suggests, was a great time. You can't go wrong with the atmosphere and live music! I didn't try out the food or drinks but there seemed to be plenty of options for everyone. The staff was also friendly and accommodating from what I observed. They've got a good deal going on right now too so, I recommend checking it out!

Place is lovely, but charged full price for a virgin cocktail

If only good quality was as high as the prices. Falafel is oily on the outside and dry inside. Pita bread costs £3.5 and it’s literally one pita bread sliced in 4, dry and tasteless. Bottle of wine is £33 and I’m pretty sure I could find better in the lower single digits at Tesco. Atmosphere and vibe is ok if you’re only gonna get a drink, but I would avoid eating there again. Service was quick and waiters were cool other than that

Amazing cocktails, delicious food and a great environment to dine. All meals were served with care and great hospitality. Definitely my favorite place in Broadway Market. I highly recommend this place if you're feeling tired from noisy pubs and need a place with your friends where you can hear each other without shouting.

Fantastic quality food, great wine, good cocktails and really nice interior. However, whilst the service was friendly and with a smile, it was really very slow and very inattentive. It wasn't a busy night and there was plenty of staff, but it seems at times like the whole restaurant was neglected waiting with empty glasses for a waiter to come near enough to get their attention. It was a shame because they've had every thing else going for them, and hope this review and others might inspire a better more attentive service in future.

Terrible service, ordered 2 drinks which took 25 minutes to come, when it did, the wine was in a dirty glass with soap scum in the wine. Not good. Wouldn’t come again!

A really cosy cocktail and brunch place - highly recommend the broadway breakfast! Ingredients are much higher quality than your average shop, and they pair the foods in each dish really well. Four stars because it’s slightly pricey for the portions you get.

Went in for a wine and coffee only to be told after making the order they don't serve coffee. One of us went outside for a takeaway coffee, brought it in to join my friend and we were both told to leave. It was £5 for a tiny cup of cold mulled wine and we weren't even allowed to drink this inside. Horrible staff

Popped in for a drink the other day - and this place was a great surprise! They have creative and delicious cocktails and the closed garden was lovely. The staff was also friendly. I will definitely be back!

Very nice atmosphere, we are celebrating birthday here for the second time. The octopus is great, the burger is amazing. I would suggest calamari as a starter, awesome!!. Burc, the manager, is making cocktails, he tries new recipes and he made special cocktails for the birthday. You should try the special cocktails “meze” is my favourite. I asked Burc to make a bottle of it 😋. The one in my picture was a birthday special, not on the menu yet. He is very talented and creative.

We stopped off for a drink and some food at 4pm on Saturday after the market had shut. We had two very nice members of staff, both of whom deserve a medal for working for the manager. I ordered an item off the menu, which I hadn't noticed was only served between 1 and 3pm. The person taking the order could not find it on the system and asked her manager, who replied "well it is only served between 1 and 3, I make it 4.22 and if your customer had bothered to read the menu he would have known that" and walked off. No apology or anything. So I ordered a different sandwich- which was delicious. We had been waiting about 20 minutes and then we were brought the wrong drinks, and the waitress then spotted that we had not had our drinks. I was making an allowance for the drinks since one was a cocktail, but they then appeared in a couple of minutes. So overall a 3 but let down badly by the rudeness.

I come here all the time. The staff is suoerb. Feels like home every time. The selection and quality of cocktails is top notch. I really suggest this place to anyone who wants to have a good relaxed time in hackney with amazingly friendly people and reasonably priced great cocktails. Thank you Alex, you rock!!!!

Comments on appearance not okay. Came with my husband. A member of staff made jokes about his height in front of a full bar. Not very in the spirit of usual London fields &amp; Hackney community. Would recommend anywhere else on broadway market above a place like this.

Una pinta. Tuvo que esperar años para ser atendido. Es febrero y se calienta y se está congelando. Todos llevan abrigos. Bonito lugar, pero mire a su alrededor y vea que todos sus clientes llevan sombreros, abrigos y bufandas.

Esta carretera es un paraíso gastrónomo y uno de los puntos destacados de la regeneración del este de Londres. Es un pequeño local con sólo unas pocas cervezas, incluyendo un nublado, apliques de IPA. El personal que, sin embargo, hacer algunas excelentes cócteles y el Rock Band kansas smitty el igualmente pequeño local de jazz más abajo. Sin duda merece la pena una visita.

Carta súper original, imitando el plano del metro. Tienen bastante variedad d cocktails y cervezas. El local resulta acogedor y cálido, aunque es pequeño. Ideal para charlar mientras te tomas algo. Aviso: no ir al baño si no es imprescindible! Muy sucio y destartalado. La atención fue la correcta y los precios (9-10 libras) adecuados para la zona. Tiene una pequeña terraza en la acera, y para no variar, no atienden fuera.
