I saw The Great Leslie here. Really nice place, good beer, good band.

This place has gone way downhill. 15 mins queue for the bar (at 4:30 when it hasn't even got busy yet). There seemed to be enough staff milling about but clearly not managed properly. One lad was filling up those little cups of mayo, painfully slowly, while next to him the bar is stacked with dirty glasses and customers waiting to be served. Another was preparing some kind of mad complex drink for himself behind the bar, then just wanders off to the kitchen - no attempt to serve any actual customers. Way to piss people off guys. It's a shame because the outdoor space is nice. Just let down by poor management and crap staff.

Would be nice to have a glass of wine with my pizza. But still water it had to be.

Booked 2 months in advance for a hen do, just received a cancellation less than 2 weeks to the event as they have private hire instead. Absolute joke of service.

Food here is terrible. Burgers have stale buns, flavourless patty's and no sides. Better off going to Mcdonalds. Beer serves in plastic cups. Only saving grace is atmosphere which has good vibes.

An excellent find after a busy day in Shoreditch. Their afternoon burger offer of £15 for any burger, fries and a pint was just what I needed. The burger was fully loaded, the sweet potato fries were surprisingly plentiful and the lager was refreshing. They have an amazing outdoor space with various seating and gazebos.

Great terrace for drinks in the evening and has heaters so isn’t too cold in winter. The beers are super expensive though.

Always very good. Bring your ID with you as they have security outside to check, if you don’t have it they won’t let you in. Nice spacious terrace, perfect for summer time.

Such a nice chilled and relaxing venue for a afternoon drink we sat in here for 3 hours me and the wife enjoying a few drinks and was so happy with our experience I would high recommend (2pm till 5.30pm)

Strongroom has a brilliant outdoor and indoor vibe - I think they may do live music on some nights, but the general atmosphere was great and is good for any season. Good choice of drinks.

Not only for the excellence of their crew but also for the exemplary ambition they’ve been holding as Mantra to keep live music and the entirety of creative culture supported ! There’s no way you’re time at strongroom is wasted, the craft beer energy lives within there walls as much as the very essence of the London experience ! This is a great place to hang out. Lots of outdoor seating (with heaters) and outdoor bar. And great space indoors for entertainment space. It does feel a bit student-y so not the place if you want a finer experience but it's such a great relaxed atmosphere.

Not my usual scene (heavy metal/ rock/ people wearing a lot of black, spikes and colourful hair) but has a good outside area and the people were nice! Drinks were a pretty penny though, 2 drinks were 26 quid!

Food menu looked good but we didn't eat here so couldn't review it. Similarly, it was early and we were first in so no atmosphere. Barmaid was lovely and craft beer good.

We held our 9th DUSKWAVES event - live synth and electronic music - at Strongroom in October 2023. A great venue for this and a brilliant time had by all of the artists and attendees.

Whatever beer is listed on Untapped at the Strongroom bar is not actually sold there: been there on a few occasions asking for various beers that they had posted on the Untapped app, but they had none of them... Instead offering something else overpriced but of inferior quality... I suspect their Untapped account is used as propaganda to draw customers to what is a very 'average' bar... I won't be going back..

I great place with big outdoor space and some seriously tasty pints ! A great little live gig venue which feels real and intimate. Staff was fabulous too!

The bar and patio area look really nice. The variety of beers is good. They advertise with great meal deals, also on the menu. However it is not possible to order them via their mandatory ordering app. Also the internet is pretty poor in the patio. This makes ordering very difficult via an app. The staff only picked up glasses.

In Shoreditch this bar and music venue seems very popular, I went mid week and before entering was politely asked if I had a booking or was a walk in. I was going to a concert so no problems but suspect it might be prudent to book ahead if you are specially travelling. There is a very large outside area with plenty of seating together with an outside bar, however there were a number of potholes that really should be attended too. Many people were eating which suggests the food offering is good. Indoors there is more than one floor with an upstairs bar plus the music room is on the ground floor. Plenty of steps so not sure about disabled facilities so best to ask. The music room was nice with it's own bar and loos plus the sound was good and it had reasonable lighting. Overall a nice place with pricing typical of the area.

Historic location - the music studio has been the starting point from some very big acts. The down stairs venue provides a space for the next big things to get a start in performing live.

Hidden(ish) beer garden in Shoreditch, cool place.

Really lively in the evenings! We went on a Wednesday night after work and it was packed, a great atmosphere but this did mean pretty heavy queues at the bars and a long wait for food. However the staff were brilliant and kept everyone smiling, food and drink are reasonably priced for London, will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, especially on a sunny day! There a good food deal with vegetarian options also.

There is always a problem with them, either they run out of food or it takes a long time to serve the food because they are always understaffed.

Awful experience, discrimination & terrible service. They won't let you in with your medication so if you're a Type 1 diabetic like me, or have any other medical issues they will ask you to leave your medication outside to enter. I am in shock that this sort of discriminatory behavior still occurs in 2023. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

The venue is nice with outdoors space. The service at the door is really bad. They were rude and aggressive to my friends and other people for no reason. I just read other reviews and this seems to be a common experience, happening a lot. So I'd avoid this place if you want a pleasant night

Came here for a drink on Thursday 29th of September to have some after work drinks. When I got there, the doorwoman was so rude and aggressive that I wanted to leave. Had my friends not already been at the venue, I would have. I was perfectly polite to her but she was incredibly antagonistic and aggressive for absolutely no reason. I've never experienced anything like it in years of living in London She was so aggressive that I felt physically threatened and that if I'd called her out on her rudeness she would have attacked me. She was literally making faces mocking me when I was asking simple questions and pretty much shouting at me for no reason. The venue is cool and the bar staff were very friendly, so there were positives but if I go back and she's on the door again - I absolutely will walk the other way. Outrageous to be acting like that.

Recently visited this establishment with a few work colleagues. The door staff were nice and friendly and full of banter. First impressions were good. However, it became apparent that several of our party were spoken to very rudely by a male manager who seemed to be having a bad night. He lost his temper when one of our party changed his drink order. Without justification, he wanted him removed. When the door staff came over the manager claimed he was too drunk. The door supervisor agreed he was not but explained that he had no choice but to remove our colleague on the manager's instruction. This resulted in the rest of our party leaving and going to another venue. We had agreed that everything about the venue save for the manager seemed to be pretty good but we won't be returning due to the actions of this officious little twerp.

Front of house staff member was very good and helpful. It was a very busy wet Saturday night. Food was good. Music was excellent.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at Strongroom and their socially distanced Halloween event. The management and costumer service was absolutely appalling all the way through. People quite obviously were only allowed to sit at tables of up to six and there was live music. Whilst walking to the restrooms one had to again obviously wear a mask and no dancing or mingling was allowed all of this of course acceptable. However the organisation was very poorly executed. Firstly it took forever to get in even though there were only two people in front of me and my partner. Then whilst we were sat at the table (just us two) at any sign of us reacting to music a security guard would come up and tell us off - advising us we must not under any circumstances show any sign of enjoyment and we must sit still. The prices were also outrageous we ordered plenty of food and drinks. Every time we dared to wave at someone we knew from afar we again were told off like children. At no point did we take off our masks or came up or joined anyone. Finally we were told we will not be served anymore, despite paying for more drinks and having still drinks on the table. No refund or proper explanation was offered. Venue never got back to us... Other costumers were also asked to leave rudely. We will surely not be returning. Absolute rip off and bad vibes. I have to add the Manageress was absolutely rude and useless and the security seem to think they work at a detention centre not bar.

went on a 41th anniversary on the halloween event everyone has following the rules we spent £250 on food and drinks the prices are scary . The management would probably do better working in a prison ... We and several people complaining the manager simply ran off 0 costumer service 0 service 0 quality ... In 20 years of events management i never have been so awfully treated i have video footage of the short lady manager behaviour not beng able to perform security was bullish rude and quite frankly poor . we were told to leave after ordering yet more drinks no refund provided ... I am frankly sorry for the owners of this venue you wont stay in business long unless you do a clean up of staff and clean up your act my b day has totally ruined after spending a fortune DISGUSTING

Having worked in the events industry for over 10 years and running the hospitality at every single big sporting event in the UK - I have never come across a service so appalling in my life. I would not even consider one member of staff for employment in the hospitality industry. Firstly we had ordered our drinks which were completely wrong from the start and was rudely spoken to by the attendant, we then requested 2 glasses for the drinks we had purchased (which took around 20 minutes to replace) which did not arrive at all. After 15 minutes and the drinks getting warm I decided to walk in to the bar and ask myself - I was then man handled by a security guard and asked to sit down - after debating with him and explaining to him how long I was waiting he eventually let me walk to the door where I was then aggressively approached by a bar attendant and asked why I never had a mask on which I then had to explain I was asthmatic and exempt - which causes me enough distress anyway, let alone explain to someone who has no right to ask. Then by the time we ordered our second drinks the music had been stopped by a staff member for no apparent reason and the whole venue was ushered out by armed police with no explanation with at least 4 hours to go! I will be pursuing this matter further and requesting a full refund!

I was here on Sunday for an outside event that was planned. The event organisers ensured that this was Covid safe and all rules was being followed. It was a really lovely few hours until the event was cut short. The DJ had to turn the music off and stop. All of a sudden with no warning we was all being told very rudely to leave by security and members of staff. I can honestly say, everyone was behaving and following rules. Everyone was sat down enjoying the music. Once we was rudely shouted at and told to leave we attempted to go to the toilet. They closed the doors and refused anyone going to the toilet!! This is totally disgusting. This is your basic human right and we had spent a lot of money in this bar buying drinks and food from them. The lady with blonde hair, who I guess was the manager was So unprofessional. Having witnessEd a few people try to politely find out what was going on, she brushed them off with some excuses about not having followed the rules. She admitted it was one person who had been thrown out and dealt with but didn’t want to explain why everyone else had to be punished for this. She had no interest in reasoning with anyone and had an awful attitude towards the guests. She then stormed off telling us it was closing. After returning to finish my drink there was a man who come over who I can only describe as a bully. Standing over our table and repeating. “You need to leave”. At this point around ten riot police entered the building and made everyone leave the premises. Each table was also given a free drink each by the event organiser. We was given two for a table of six. When I questioned the bar man for the rest he said he had no idea of this agreement. Such a shame that this happened. The staff at this venue should be ashamed of themselves for treating everyone with such contempt! I will not be coming back, and I will be spreading the word also.

I was at a fantastic event yesterday covid safe, organised by an outside promoter who worked extremely hard to put this on and support a local venue (because let’s face it the whole hospitality sector has been decimated by what this pandemic has done to it) they organised a friendly, respectful crowd who came out and paid good money, and certainly spent a fair amount behind the bar. Obeying the rules and keeping the 2M social distancing. This venue is fab, the management are rude, the security are clueless (insisting you MUST install the nhs app to get in - incorrect - you can’t force anyone to install a government tracked app) They killed the party mid way through (over 4 hours left to go) by just shutting the DJ down, closing the toilets, and then refusing to serve drinks (despite the app taking money), refusing refunds. Awful, really awful. I wouldn’t recommend this venue to anyone which is a shame as it’s really quite nice inside.

Attended what was (for a large proportion of the day) a brilliant event yesterday at the strong room bar which had been organised by a local promoter to support the hospitality industry. I am however extremely disappointed with the treatment and the subsequent experience not only myself had but every single table within that venue received post 6pm. Unexpectedly and without any warning the venue pulled the plug on the DJ , locked the toilets and then sent their security out to inform everybody they were shutting because of COVID concerns. This was approx 4 hours earlier than the event had been scheduled to finish. Considering the amount of money the entire event generated for the venue and the extremely good natured and warm crowd I was disappointed at the dismissive and at times rude attitudes displayed by the staff. Of course if the venue genuinely had COVID concerns it’s their absolute prerogative to act however I observed a conversation between the working manger and a member of the event promotion team asking for an explanation and subsequently her reluctance (and uncertain / lack of professionalism) response. The gentleman from the promotion team was articulate, calm and obviously frustrated and it was surprising to see the chaotic and incoherent response from the venues manager (who actually didn’t appear able to explain her decision to close the venue down). I wouldn’t recommend this venue under the current management structure, it has the potential to be a brilliant space which in the current climate and the size of the outdoor area could be utilised for the benefit of all. A genuine shame and I feel sorry for everyone last night who disappointedly had to leave early. Fingers crossed the promoters put on another event soon elsewhere.

I'm currently sat in the Strongroom Bar (outside) at am organised, Covid safe event. The venue management have been table by table, asking people to leave due to people mingling or standing up. 4 hours before the event was due to finish, they have stopped the music, closed the bar and toilets and have stated that the venue has now closed. I've tried to speak politely to a lady from the venue but after being spoken over again and again, the only thing I could say was to recommend that she books herself onto a customer service course. As a customer who stuck to the rules, purchased many drinks as well as food, I'm disgusted at the evasive attitude. I won't be in any rush to return to the Strongroom with their North Korean attitude.

We had very bad experience in this bar. We had a table and first staff said that this table not available after 8 clocks .then managers come suddenly and she said you should leave from this table 7 clocks and she has very rude behaviour. During this we already ordee beer . She said to waiters don't give the beer this table and she didn't give beer even we had payment. All this would not have happened if she had spoken to us politely. We were a permanent client of this bar and we will never come anymore. In addition, we will tell all our friends in whatsapp groups.

The woman in a blue jacket, I’m guessing her name was karen, ruined our night. She was rude. She walked off when we were talking to her. She told us we had to sit in the rain when a hundred other tables were moved under cover. Get rid.

Los guardias de seguridad fueron increíblemente groseros y simplemente tuvieron una mala actitud, especialmente la joven, que me dijo que no "me burlara" cuando solo estaba preguntando cómo descargar la aplicación que necesita para ingresar al lugar y luego cuando le dijo que era el día de mi boda y sarcásticamente dijo "bien por ti".Nos dejaron entrar al lugar y luego nos echaron unos 5 minutos más tarde simplemente por conocer a otras personas en el lugar. Insistieron en que estábamos en un gran "grupo" a pesar de que estábamos sentados en una mesa de 6 y no cerca de ninguno de nuestros amigos que estaban en su propia mesa de 6 en el lado opuesto del lugar, nos echaron a todos después habíamos pedido bebidas que aún no habían llegado. También hablé con el gerente y él tampoco entendía en absoluto sobre la situación y nos hizo irnos. Fue una experiencia tan molesta tener el día de nuestra boda cuando ya nos habían quitado gran parte de nuestro día especial debido a la pandemia, y luego descubrir que ni siquiera podíamos tomar un par de bebidas y comida en un restaurante. pub en una mesa de solo CUATRO de nuestros otros amigos sin ser acosados por seguridad y expulsados como si hubiéramos hecho algo terrible. Toda la situación fue manejada tan mal por el personal que fue innecesariamente grosero y mezquino al respecto. Nunca volveré a ir a este lugar.

Para muchos de nosotros fue la primera vez desde el cierre (lea la primera vez en 4 a 5 meses). Obviamente, salir ahora es muy diferente debido a covid, así que cuando tenemos que registrarnos en el lugar con todos nuestros detalles, ¿es justo?Si tenemos que obtener la aplicación para hacer el pedido y ahora se nos permite hacer pedidos en la barra, ¿es justo?Cuando no se les permite juntar mesas, aunque todos somos el mismo grupo de amigos, reglas de covid molestas, pero buenas. . .En algún momento, uno de los miembros del personal (supongo que el de seguridad) no dejaría a nuestro grupo solo. Cada vez que alguien se movía e incluso durante 10 segundos, el número de personas en una mesa cumplía 7 en lugar de 6, tenía un problema con nosotros. De una manera bastante grosera, le estaba diciendo a la gente que se moviera (aunque las mesas pueden acomodar a más de seis personas). Algunas de las personas de nuestro grupo eran parejas y tenían que sentarse en mesas diferentes. En algún momento incluso tuvo problemas con la gente que cambiaba de una mesa a otra ?? ‍ ??Fuimos a hablar con el gerente sobre el tema, se disculpó porque lamentablemente la regla es seis personas por mesa, pero dijo que hablaría con el chico, por lo que estaría menos concentrado en nuestro grupo. Supongo que funcionó durante un tiempo. Pero lo siguiente que supimos fue que nos estaba echando a todos, porque uno de los muchachos no contó a las personas en la mesa y se convirtió en la séptima persona. A pesar de que se mudó a otra mesa tan pronto como esta persona se lo dijo.Nunca me habían tratado así en ningún establecimiento, que me regañaran como niños de la escuela, me supervisaran constantemente (siempre que ninguno de nuestros amigos se emborrachara mucho o fuera ruidoso o agresivo). Terminó con la cumpleañera llorando ya que sintió que era responsable de que la gente no la pasara bien, ya que eligió ese lugar.Extremadamente decepcionado. ¿Me quita las ganas de salir ahora?

Eight of us turned up for a pre dinner drink on Friday. You couldn't enter except by app. You ordered drinks by app. One of us ordered three lots of drinks as we arrived, and then the app stopped working. The staff were great at helping but not even the manager could get us a drink.So we left.The bar needs to be more flexible, IMHO.

Visited this lovely bar and HONESTLY had an amazing time, we had an AMAZING waitress, think her name was Tulisa, really wish I could tell you that was true though to be honest. My dear friend hannah unfortunately slipped and fell in front of everyone one (embarassing) and was given an unfortunately loud cheer and clap. The bartender (Tulisa???) felt so terribly bad that she actually gave us free shots ! Could you believe my surprise ! This is a restaurant that is a good stop if you're in the Shoreditch area. The food is very good, and everything is homemade. The dishes on the menu vary depending on the season. You can choose to sample different beers also. The restaurant also has an outdoor terrace. Some evenings, concerts are held just below the restaurant.

I have eaten here twice during my time in London and have so far had the best burger ever. I ate in the upstairs bar and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place.

I ordered a beer from Strongroom, and it was flat and to be honest, damn right disgusting. I informed them the beer was sub par and they FORCED me into buying a new beer. Disgraceful

Y este es el mejor pub de Londres para comida hasta ahora, mi opinión. . .La elección de cervezas y vinos también era buena.Solo mejora para dar: un enfriador cuando sirve botellas de vino blanco.Aparte de eso, fue increíble.Definitivamente vamos a estar de vuelta

One of the worst customer service experiences ever. We booked this place for our Staff Release Celebration Party on Friday for Monday. Their Manager was just terrible to put this shortly.... we had never experienced such a rude, unprofessional person who can not help/handle or even work as a professional human being. She was incredibly rude on the phone and slightly better on emails since it was all on record. I went in the place twice first to make a booking second to cancel/move it this place had all of my contacts to make amends. Shame if they have had better management it could be a completely different place. If not the behaviour of their manager Amanda they could have made pretty good business as we are a pretty big company that works locally and do organise Team outings fair amount. shame.

They kicked my friend out for no reason. He was dancing more than everyone else because the place was basically empty on a Friday night and then the security accused him of making the bar staff uncomfortable and that he assaulted them. I don’t drink and i watched him the whole time and nothing at all happened.I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this has now happened a few times before so that’s the last time i will have gone there. I don’t know what security firm they are using but expect to be treated like sh/t randomly. And it really feels sh/t and patronising to get kicked out for no reason :)
