JRC Global Buffet in Redbridge

Very disappointed , the restaurant had no highchairs only booster seats which was very unsafe for my son , very dirty and unclean , we got seated at a table to find food all on my chair . Staff was unhelpful when I booked for 11 adults and 2 babies they placed us on wrong table woth not enough chairs .

Disappointing Dining Experience – Not Worth the Hype We had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. We arrived around 7 PM 🕖, expecting a decent spread, but to our surprise, most of the food was already gone. What was left seemed like scraps—leftovers that hadn’t been replenished, giving the whole place an unappetising feel. Just see the video I attached, which shows how the leftover food was presented at 7 PM 🕖—it speaks for itself. As a foodie who has travelled extensively and experienced a wide range of cuisines, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this place fell short in every way. I tried a variety of dishes, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indian, and Thai cuisine, and every single one was below average. The Japanese and Korean dishes were bland, the Chinese food tasted stale, and the Indian and Thai options were equally disappointing, lacking both flavour and authenticity. 😕 Even the desserts couldn’t salvage the experience. The ice cream was mediocre, and the marshmallows with chocolate were uninspiring—just basic and tasteless. The only thing I genuinely enjoyed was the fresh, sweet 🍇 grapefruit, which says a lot considering it’s hard to get fruit wrong. Overall, this was a terrible dining experience. 👎🏾 It’s not worth the money, and I certainly won’t be returning. If you’re a food lover looking for quality and variety, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. This place simply doesn’t deliver.

Upon entry through the main door it was absolutely freezing, also the escalators weren't very smooth, as we left -one wasn't even working. After we checked in etc the staff member speeded off, rushing us to follow him. Anyway,once seated we went and got our drinks there was a nice selection, lovely and cold drinks. The food selection choices were absolutely amazing, we were all extremely happy with our meals. And the desserts (Eton mess, profiteroles, cakes) were all delicious! A staff member in pertiular was always on hand to take our dishes, quickly and efficiently. You do only have 90 minutes at the table, which was understandable but we would have stayed longer. Only critic, the music was too loud so we did find it hard to speak/hear each other

The food was cold and the service we got it was not good at all and there was people there taking big portions if prawns and not leaving nothing for others my family will not be returning at all toilet is dirty and poo all up the wall never again

This place was far from a global buffet—it offered only a handful of dishes, and most of the options were either empty or unappetizing. The food was greasy, overly fatty, and had an unpleasant, outdated smell. On top of that, the customer service was completely disastrous and unprofessional.

Literally the worst buffet I've ever eaten. Greasy, oily and stinky. Overpriced and drinks are not included. 0/10

best thing that has ever happened to me in my whole life this food is so yummy if u want an outing just come here everything is js so nice nd delicious !!! its so good and affordable u can eat as much as u want its just the best like words cant even describe i come here every year its just beautiful and they have so many different cuisines from different countries from japan to india everything is so nice inching the fruit and dessert JUST COME HERE!!!

A disappointing visit, whilst an amazing selection of world foods well presented, the quality was poor with bland taste. Tried a range of dishes, similar results. Not cheap, better world buffets can be found. Bathroom needs some attention. Will not return.

I came with a group of friends on Friday 24th January 2025. I am unhappy with the security guard on duty that night. He told us a few times we have to leave by 10pm as the place is closing. Yet the sign in restaurant says it closes at 10.30pm. Yet he never said anything to the table next to us. On leaving when my friend wanted to use the lift for her elderly dad in a wheelchair this same security guard kept saying they could use the lift because it was windy and that he would have to go down the escalator. On smelling BS, I politely asked the security guard why would the wind affect an internal lift? He didn't reply. I asked him again and he then got his key out and manually opened the lift! I believe this security guard breached his Safeguarding and Duty of Care and Customer Service at the very least. He certainly needs retraining and a stern warning.

I got food poisoning from Ice cream... disgusting buffet.

It was a really sad experience , last time when I dined at this restaurant it was 2 years ago and the food was testier .

Pros: The place looks good The food is delicious...and as much as you can eat! Food + soft/hot drinks for 4 people = 128£. Large variety of products: Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Italian on one side - pizza, pasta, salads Access to enough soft drinks and hot drinks Cons: The bathrooms are dirty The layout of the tables it's a bit odd in some parts of the restaurant. It's that feeling that they only focused on the main part of the place. The main entrance of the building, before using the escalator to go up, is dirty. The escalator itself making squeaky noises and looks unhygienic and dusty. Overall, the external entrance is not inviting at all. And the internal one, the reception, is a 3 out of 5.

Eat till my belly popped. Great food all round. They offer free entry if it's your birthday,iD required. Highly recommend 💯

The food was glorious, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There was a bit of a wait at the beginning as we didn't get seated until after 1700 when we booked for 1630 and had to leave the table at 1915 but all in all it was a good night.

Marketing, leaflet all a lie. My child had to pay & he just had 1 nugget.

Yesterday i went with my wife for dinner, item was limited.They promote they have more than 300 dishes but i find nearly 100+ dish. Live grill section was decent and quick. I had been there at 7:30 pm and unfortunately no soup was warm and they didnt refill it.Otherwise overall experience was good.

Sonia was very rude she don't have talking sense to speak with the customer. Rude Sonia, manner less Sonia, if you want to grow the business ,then remove the rude staff like Sonia

Disappointing Experience I was really looking forward to dining at jrc global buffet, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The service was incredibly slow, and the staff seemed more focused on chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. When I raised my concerns with the assistant manager, Sonia, I was shocked by her dismissive attitude. Instead of addressing the issues with professionalism, she seemed uninterested and even rude. I expected someone in her position to be more understanding and solution-oriented.I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit was truly disappointing. I hope they take feedback seriously and work on improving both their food and customer service.

Really a bad experience towards food and specially for assistant manager sonia when i get to adress the issue about the food instead of resolving the issue she was soo rude. I suggest to change assistant manager with who knows their duties well and how to attend the customers.

Today a party of 12 of us came and we had a poor experience with the food and staff. The buffet was all empty and they refuse to refill the items and the time was only 9.30, When we asked to speak to the manager then Sonia came and she was very rude, and they also said we needed a drinks token which we didn’t get told at when they paying, we just got told to go to the bar, when we were asking For a refund they refused, we paid £300 for them to say we will give you free soft drinks, absolutely appalling not sure how it’s still open definitely needs trading standards in and hygiene inspectors. If u want to spoil your evening then go to this place, will never be returning we left hungry and cold Food was served.

Go there if you want to waste your money. Not recommended.

Loved the music, an enjoyable atmosphere and nice, tasty food

Only reason for 4 stars is that the ladies toilets were unusable...every toilet was blocked with water up to the rim of toilets. Not what I was expecting in such a large venue serving food to have such bad restroom hygiene. Everything else was good but hardly any desserts.

It was ok, not much food options as their other branch in Watford (which is the best one by far). The dessert and ice cream table could've been better. A lot of the food trays were empty, so I didn't really get what I wanted. I will say they gotta top up the food more often, but it was good. I also had a plate of seafood (sushi, deep-fried octopus balls, muscles, fish). The drinks were TOO watered down. I tasted more water than Coca-Cola.

Very good value. Service was quick and there was plenty of options. We had a large table and this is a great place so everyone can choose their own food.

This place years ago was really good but during the years they rised prices too much and removed soft drinks from price. Time spent there is strictly watched so if you are 2 min after your time you will be asked to leave. Not polite.

Very poor.. paid £94 for 2 adults 2 kids … most are halal but not everything u need to check… been to so many buffet and never been such disappointed , poor selction, not tasty (apart from the sushi that really was nice and worth trying) all workers are not interested and no smile apart from one from the sushi man (obviously he was loving what he was doing) I never been disappointed with shrimp abs never thought Inwould but this proved that never say never it was rancid زفر بشكل مو طبيعي بكل حالاته بالمرق والشوي والشوربه والبيتزا. ومجلد !!!

Amazing food,cheaper,excellent staff

Very disappointed, the deserts were lacking and what was there was not made well, especially the Eton mess which was just meringue no cream at all. Not worth the money when marketed as a buffet and you really can only have a main and nothing else!!!

I went there a couple of times recently. There are more varieties compared to Jimmy's and Cosmos. It is a bit pricey compared to its counterparts. The food is good and there are different cuisines to enjoy. Overall, it was a good experience.

The place was nice but You could add homemade burgers

First time coming here. Arrived at 12 and food and restuarant were good. Only thing was extremely loud rave music played throughout the whole time by bar staff( female) and male manager who was Eastern European the whole hour and a half we were there which means we had two different types of music blasting at us at the same at high volume. Very unpleasant. Won't return.

I was so disappointed with the food on offer when I visited with my wife. The Chinese buffet section was not all Halal food. The best thing about the restaurant was the drinks and desserts.

Really surprised for a no limit buffet. Food was really tasty and fresh with a massive choice of international cuisines. Would definitely go back.

I have been here quite a few times. The people at the front desks are really helpful and kind. The taste and quality differs based on the time you are there. Food is best at lunch or early dinner time. I highly recommend.

ON A SATURDAY NIGHT!!! Absolutely Disgusted. Went with my friends for a reservation at 8:30pm and they stopping providing food by 9:20pm. Desert stations were empty by 9:10pm. A buffet restaurant closing services and supplies so early on a Saturday night?

So after attending this restaurant last week being a Muslim the labels were put incorrectly above the food and I ended up eating pork to then making a complaint to then finding out that this restaurant claimed they are halal certified today I found out after speaking with the manager they are actually not halal his words were they get what meat they can get there hands on sometimes it’s halal sometimes it isn’t now considering this restaurant is used my many Muslim brothers and sisters this is very wrong considering they claim to be halal but not using halal meat I shall be taking this further to head office and possibly the local newspaper and I hope this reaches many Muslim brothers and sisters and stop using the restaurant as it’s a total disrespect to our religion knowing we only eat halal food.

i feel like you could easily become a good dessert shop just drop everything else stick to deserts

Went there last night after a 2 hour drive, 2 Adults and 3 kids. Going up the escalators it was dirty and smelt so bad. Once in we paid and got our table and the place was very empty. The food was really bad, so not sure what the good reviews were about. There was not much food variety for a world buffet and the food trays were consistently empty and mislabelled. I have been to plenty of world buffets and can say this is the worst buffet I have experienced. It was all dirty and greasy and the place smelt quite bad. They definitely reduced the food dishes variety and desserts as there was empty shelfs and trays and the price did not reflect that. Definitely not worth £109 and I do not recommend this place if your looking for some good quality food.

Ate here for a family birthday, after we had eaten our food, we saw a cockroach crawling up the round pillar (next to our table). We told the manager and they said that somebody brought the cockroach in their bag to get a discount. Cant make it up. Wont be back.

I booked this restaurant to celebrate my neices birthday. There was 10 of us. And I was really disappointed. The service was terrible. Very transactional; you felt they just wanted you to eat your meal and leave. At 9.30pm we were told 4 times that the kitchen and bar was closing at 10pm, probably because we had finished eating and just conversing finishing our drinks. We had cleaners standing by just watching us and this is all despite the restuarant closing at 10.30pm. It seemed like the food was sitting out for long as it wasn't piping hot. For £27 per head minus drinks, I would strongly advise anyone considering to just book a restaurant where you can order a 3 course meal and receive proper customer service. It's not value for money! And don't get tricked by the birthday offer of having the person whose birthday it is eat free. Trust me, its not worth it. Staff were unwelcoming and toilets filthy. I have no intention of going to this place again.

We went to this buffet and everything is almost empty. We are so disappointed because all the trays were empty . No one was refilling the trays even though they already saw that it was empty. For the price is very disappointing. I will never go back again in here. We wasted money coming here. We also queue in the teppanyaki and no one was there to cook and serve food.

The worst experience we’ve had in many many years ! The place is so so dirty ! Dirty restaurants and dirty toilets ! Vomiting and diahorea after yesterday’s visit . I wonder if the council can pay a visit ! Is just so unhealthy dirty 🤨 and you are paying £32 per person . It was a joke !

We recently been to this Chinese Buffet with family and friends, and we just left so disappointed. Everything inside was looking dirty and the kind of people there just not much to say. About the food, the second day we all was feeling so bad vomiting and diarrhoea.and is not that cheap also, with that amountof moneyi can easily eat to any nice restaurant clean with good food. Here is not worth it. So will never again going back. I definitely not recommend.

We recently visited JRC Global Buffet and had a fantastic experience. Love the verious options they have. Indian, Thai, Chinese, Italian, Singaporean, Japanese and many more. We went in as a couple for a birthday celebration and got 1 meal free (you just have to book 24 hour advance for birthday and have your ID with you). They open at 5pm which is when the food are made fresh so you better go at 5pm. Overall a great experience.

I am surprised that people are giving 4 stars in sane mind . Either they eat food at home worse than this or they never have been to any quality Buffett. They are charging 28£ per head and this is not worth it if you are going as a family .

When we went the place was almost full and had a great atmosphere. All you want to eat for a fixed price £20 at the time. Lots of different dishes from different parts of the world, wonderfully cooked.

Just wasted £148/-, global food but tasteless, left after 20 minutes. Sheer disappointment 😞. Please don't waste your money, its £28 per person, worst restaurant in London.

Food was disappointing, no taste, the Indian food was limited and bland. The fried food tasted of stale oil. Please do not waste your money. The drink was an additional £4 and was totally flat.

I have been twice for end of year work celebrations and really enjoyed the restaurant both times. JRC Global Buffet was selected as the venue as it caters for a wide variety of tastes and dietary requirements including vegetarian and halal. They really do offer a global selection too, North & South American, European, Indian and Oriental. For the fussy eater this is a great restaurant due to the amount of different foods on offer, there is bound to be many things everyone enjoys eating. Overwhelming hot in there on the Saturday evening with 5 of us. Deliberately turn the heating up on a summer's night.....no air con at all, knowing all the body heat plus the cookers would rush people to eat and go....salty food to make you thirsty to buy their drinks. Tables cramped together as they will not refuse you entry as there's alot of money they make here. Only ate small amount, sweat literally dripping from my head...we just had to leave as quickly as possible, but, then that was the plan they do....so you don't stay for too long.(trick of the trade). Waste of £116....went home feeling absolutely dehydrated, drank so much water...just didn't help. Not like it during the week, 3rd time there now.....but I have to say....Saturday nights is where the tricks take place!!!

I just been there with my wife To have a nice dinner, food was quite good and fresh, the staff from the frond desk was very friendly and polite, but the people behind were very rode and didn’t help with at all, I had the worst experience with a man from the cleaning team he may be a supervisor or team leader because I don’t really imagine how he can speak so rude and been very disrespectful. He just make me fell very uncomfortable ! I will never go again to this restaurant only because the management team can support kind of this behaviour !

A good night out for an all you can eat experience. The meal was a birthday party and originally booked 6 people for a Friday night. The party size grew to 13, and I tried to call the day before, but there was no answer. A couple of hours later, they called me, and the arrangements were changed without issue. Great service. Food was great with a large variety to choose from. Drinks separate from food price. We had 2 hours, but it was a no rush experience, and I would return again.

Went for a dinner but every time i went to the food section no food available!!! Waste of time and money!! Paid more then £30 per person but couldnt eat !!! Staff dont refill the food when they see empty tray! Customer have to wait more then 10/15 min per item!

This was by far the worst dining experience I've had. There were hardly any options in the buffet, and what little food there was, was cold and unappetizing. The prices were exorbitant, completely unjustified by the quality of the food. The place seemed deserted, almost like an abandoned industrial site, with barely any customers and an eerie quietness. It's such a shame to see it in this state. I would strongly advise against dining here it's simply not worth it.
