JRC Global Buffet in Redbridge

When we went the place was almost full and had a great atmosphere. All you want to eat for a fixed price £20 at the time. Lots of different dishes from different parts of the world, wonderfully cooked.

I just been there with my wife To have a nice dinner, food was quite good and fresh, the staff from the frond desk was very friendly and polite, but the people behind were very rode and didn’t help with at all, I had the worst experience with a man from the cleaning team he may be a supervisor or team leader because I don’t really imagine how he can speak so rude and been very disrespectful. He just make me fell very uncomfortable ! I will never go again to this restaurant only because the management team can support kind of this behaviour !

Poor customer service, cold food, low food stock, faulty washroom facilities and above all overpriced.

A good night out for an all you can eat experience. The meal was a birthday party and originally booked 6 people for a Friday night. The party size grew to 13, and I tried to call the day before, but there was no answer. A couple of hours later, they called me, and the arrangements were changed without issue. Great service. Food was great with a large variety to choose from. Drinks separate from food price. We had 2 hours, but it was a no rush experience, and I would return again.

Went for a dinner but every time i went to the food section no food available!!! Waste of time and money!! Paid more then £30 per person but couldnt eat !!! Staff dont refill the food when they see empty tray! Customer have to wait more then 10/15 min per item!

This was by far the worst dining experience I've had. There were hardly any options in the buffet, and what little food there was, was cold and unappetizing. The prices were exorbitant, completely unjustified by the quality of the food. The place seemed deserted, almost like an abandoned industrial site, with barely any customers and an eerie quietness. It's such a shame to see it in this state. I would strongly advise against dining here it's simply not worth it.

Appalled by the quality and standards of this place. I took a bite of my pepper fried prawn and it tasted soooo bad as I went to spit it out it was completely black!! Thank god I didn’t end up in hospital!

very over priced for the area, you can go to a buffet in central London for cheaper. it cost us £32 per person with drinks. some of the food was nice but there was lot of things that where lacking taste and some had very poor flavours to them, even some of the dishes where cold. the deserts are frozen and are of the poorest quality they lack any sort of decent flavour. We use to go to this place on here and there but it feels like this is the last time we will go because the standard have just slipped.and on top of all of this the tables where not getting clean very quickly as they had one person taking care of this for such a large space. not worth the money better places to go and eat for cheaper.

Food was cold and didn't taste fresh or cooked on the day. The desserts were not from quality ingredients and tasted artificial. The fruit choice was basic no exotic fruit selection. Went to this restaurant as a group of 19 people to celebrate 60th birthday. Spent over £500. It is very overpriced food and the service was awful.

I’m appalled by how we were treated for my mother’s 60th birthday meal tonight. An occasion that was supposed to be happy and enjoyable was ruined by staff, mainly Cyril who has a smile on her face whilst ruining the evening for my mother. Disgusting. I called on Friday 17th May to enquire if the birthday girl would be free as we were looking at restaurants for my mum. I confirmed VERY clearly with the person I was speaking to that my mother’s birthday is a few days AFTER we would be booking but would she still qualify for their free birthday meal? I asked twice. she said ‘yes, yes that’s fine, just bring the ID so we can verify that your mothers birthday is on the day you say it will be and she will get her meal free’ I asked her to be sure and she said yes she is sure. With that information confirmed, I booked Global Buffet Ilford on 28th May for my mums 60th birthday gathering for 19 people. Upon arriving tonight, we were told by Cyril that actually my mum, who has been looking forward to her gathering since May actually has to pay for herself, with no apology, no empathy that she ruined the start of a special occasion before we had even entered the food hall. She took our money without hesitation and even charged her for drinks. Cyril was serving us told us, ‘that’s our policy’. I explained that the person on the phone told us to bring ID as proof that my mums birthday would be a few days later and she said ‘oh yes that was me’ - are you lying to my face Cyril? Your lack of customer service skills is appalling. You upset my mother so much by your manner, speaking to your colleague in your own language in front of us without even bothering to hear what we had to say, is disgusting. I asked to speak with the manager to which Cyril very quickly replied, ‘he is not here’ - how convenient that a floor space is running without a manager. I asked for his name to which I was told he is called Tony. Well, Tony was no where to be seen tonight. You’ve created a horrible memory for us for my mother’s 60th birthday and I deeply regret that my family paid JRC £551.00 for the evening. Not only did we walk into the food hall upset and angry, the food was barely served, reheated and dried. The sushi was stale, not fresh. Absolutely tasteless… It was disgusting. I saw a member of the Chinese station cooking team use the toilet and not wash her hands. She just simply left the restroom after using the loo. Not ONCE, did a member of staff come to check up on us, ask if we were ok or if we needed anything. Not once. That’s a party of 19 paying people - £551.00 that I wish we gave to a business that doesn’t lie to get customers. Cyril, you are a liar. The fact that we were lied to, is disgusting. You ruined the evening for my mother. May no one treat your mother the same. If anyone is thinking of visiting this place or even worse, doing a group booking - DO NOT. Disappointing birthday event! 20 of us went to the Global buffet, Ilford, after phoning them beforehand to say the birthday person would have their birthday just 2 days after visiting, so would they still be entitled to free access promotion? The person on the phone said yes as we were going in a large group. Today we went, and were charged full price, by Cyril at the front desk. They took money from the birthday person even though we explained we phoned beforehand and we were a large party (20 of us). Cyril made us feel awkward and lacked people skills. This dampened our evening and i dont think we will be going back again any time soon. Very disappointing experience. I will go elsewhere next time.

I have been twice for end of year work celebrations and really enjoyed the restaurant both times. JRC Global Buffet was selected as the venue as it caters for a wide variety of tastes and dietary requirements including vegetarian and halal. They really do offer a global selection too, North & South American, European, Indian and Oriental. For the fussy eater this is a great restaurant due to the amount of different foods on offer, there is bound to be many things everyone enjoys eating. There is a multi storey car park a short walk away (Clements Road).

It's okay to eat but refilled food was very slow and I had to ask the waiters to fill them up.

Don't bother! Waste of money. Dried fatty cheap food mostly. Fish fingers, chips, tasteless. The few select dishes they serve, the portions are controlled, so you have to queue to get them. Value for money is zero. Better off going to Fred's cafe. It's expensive for what you get.

We went here for a birthday party and for a buffet place, it doesn’t have as much of a variety as I thought it would. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the seafood and we tried octopus, which was different. The atmosphere was ok too, little quiet for a Sunday. All in all, it was on my bucket list to visit but for £28 per head (which is quite expensive) I expected better food and a wow factor which we didn’t get so a little disappointing. Would we visit again? I’m afraid, we wouldn’t.

I went to JRL for my daughter's birthday, but unfortunately, the food and service were not good. Despite being told that the fried shrimps would be ready in 15 minutes, I ended up waiting for over an hour with no sign of them. When they finally appeared, they seemed to have been sitting out for a while and tasted quite dry. On top of that, my three-year-old was charged £14, even though she hardly ate anything.

Food was cold, fatty & chewy! Was not worth what you pay at all! I mean they had Indian, Japanese, Singapore etc but there wasn’t many dishes per section. There was no Carvery as displayed. Even the desserts was bland. Terrible experience and a waste of money!

I've said this before a decade ago and I'll say it now one word describes the food abysmal and they discontinued Lasagne, only fresh option available steak/lamb chop/squid/prawn.

A great place to go, perfect for family and friends to gather. The prices are not high and the variety is extensive. You can find almost everything you want to eat here. It's worth mentioning that the soufflés and barbecue are particularly delicious!

It's an amazing experience. The food is really good. Staff are nice but not so friendly, like you know what I mean 😏. Lastly, there are no restrictions as to what you can eat. There is grilled steak, prawn, gizard etc.

Don't waste your money rather go some where else

I've come to this place a few years back and left pleasantly surprised. This time round it wasn't quite the same, they charged my 2 year old £13 for his meal, however my nephew who is 2 weeks older than my son didn't get charged based on his height. 2 inch taller got them charging me for a 2 year old. If truth be told I found it to be quite discriminating, as typically Asian children are quite small in size or height like my nephew, as opposed to my son. Not going to lie, think that annoyed me the most about the place. The food was mediocre, not alot of options to choose from and it went from being halal to now serving pork, so that got my guards up as I do not know if things have been contaminated. Lastly, alot of the dishes needed topping up as they were mostly empty.. Overall, the price and quality and service did not match. Between myself and my 2 year old we spent around £50 on dinner that was not of great quality and most things were finished and had not been replenished, there were also children who were directly trying to drink out of the chocolate fountain, sticking their hands and tongue in with no staff to supervise or take the used cutlery and crockery.

We are returning customers here. For a friday evening, it was not too busy. The range of food choices is almost endless. There is always something new. I think they have raised their prices a bit but are still worth it. Just make sure you arrive with an empty belly.

The best all you can eat buffet in the UK

Well coordinated, abit more space would have given guest more privacy.

After reading many positive feedbacks, I will go and try it today. And I will comeback and write my personal review. Up date: There are plenty of variety of food. Chinise, Japanese , Asian , pizza , pasta ....... varieties of sweets and fruits. The overall is a good atmosphere. The only think that I didn't like personally, is that they gave you card mentioning the time that you need to leave the place. I did not reach that time to be honest but still its soooo annoying. The lift wasn't working, so you need to think about wheelchair access....

This is a very good place to eat but very expensive. £30 pound per person. You could go to McDonald's burger. King and other restaurants are still have change. They got to put down their prices.

5 of us went for a 21st birthday family meal. Been there before atmosphere is fine. Can be a bit noisy depending on where you sit. Lots of varieties of food to choose from and tasty. Refillable drinks or you can go to the bar for alcohol which you pay for separately. At the entry you pay for your meal and the refillable drinks and then you re good to go. Must book in advance. There is parking in a car park which you pay for.

The people that work here are absolutely disgusting with their behaviour. I came with family and the beef made one of the party of 5 sick immediately after eating. He threw up in the establishment. We asked for a refund just for this particular person as this was on the first and only small plate they had. I was refused this incredibly rudely and told that my request was an attempt to ‘overpower’ staff. I find it ridiculous. The management here have no people training or manners. The manager also kept on referring to me as a child during this disagreement but had served me 4 alcoholic beverages not even 30 minutes before, without checking my id. Do not come here if you’re looking for a positive time outside.

It is a very, very busy place offering hundreds of items of food from all cuisines imaginaeable. Some taste great, and some dont. I guess they have to cater for all tastes, so authenticity is probably not the best. Many starters, main and dessert dishes on offer. It is not fully halal as it also sells pork items and also serves alcohol so best avoid if you're looking for a fully halal venue. It is located off a very busy road with paid parking closeby. Staff are generally great on the floor. However, very aggressive at the entrance.

My wife and I walked into this restaurant and I was pick pocketed by a member of the staff. My phone was stolen. I identified the staff but the restaurant did nothing to help which has led me to believe this is a normal part of the rest operations. Please do not attend this restaurant as it is a fraud and a front for stealing.

Very expensive. 31 pound to eat. Imagine all famely! My kids which is over 130cm don't eat alot. But I still have to pay full price because they over 130cm but they only 10years only. LISTEN TO THIS. HALF PRICE UNDER 13 YEARS OLD AND 120CM. No sense. This, place use to be nice but prices went ridiculous . I won't go there any more .

Food was average, enough to fill a stomach. Decent options but I just stuck with the starters. Service and atmosphere is why I'd go back! The food was great for a buffet and there were lots of options to choose from. Con- kids were putting their fingers in the chocolate fountain so I do not recommend eating from that. But otherwise the other dessert options were yummy!

Came for for my sons Reece and hamzah fish sticks birthday and a pretty 😍🤩 cool bro looking like Mr tumble came and started blowing balloons, also a few of the staff were the best of help including ajhar and Alfie they really did the most 💜 Stay felxy

The extortionate increase of the price fair enough, but there was much less food and the standard had dropped, and the restaurant was not clean splashes of food on walls, broken furniture. Much of the desserts was for display only and was not real. When I tried to enquire about the macaroons a worker carried on working when explaining to me it was just for display. Workers looked very angry and aggressive. All in all a dreadful experience what a change, used to be a great place.

VERY BAD !! Food very poor and very less time to eat 1hour 30 mins come on you know it gets busy your in the que wasting time avoid this place not worth the money. Staff harass you straight away for you to leave after your time . They need to increase time to atleast 2 hours 15 mins.Food does not get refilled . If you want to get food poisoning then this is the place to go if you want to intentionally fall sick for work AVOID IT £28 RIP OFF.

Nice global buffet restaurant, with a wide selection avaliable

Me with my wife have been there three times, and the reason is: Food tastes very good, a large variety of cuisine, good quality food for the price.

We are regular customers. The lift has been out of service for so long (+3 months). We have a baby in stroller we struggle to carry him and buggy to reach there. If you are in wheelchair or with a baby stroller you are not welcome in this place.

So nice weekend was up here. And delicious.

Liked the food and enjoyed the variety of choices, went there on Saturday afternoon and it wasn't that busy fortunately for us. We had table next to the window and it felt really warm so not a really comfy sits at all.

Extremely disappointing, considering the amount of global cuisines there was no real variety of food at all. Additionally, the food that was there wasn’t worth the money. Mushy duck, bland noodles, dessert bar was disgusting with unhygienic scoop for all flavours of ice cream, and one pair of tongs amongst all the other options of cakes, not allergen friendly whatsoever. Service was also discomforting, staff were unprofessional and would ignore the plates on the table. They were ignoring us but clearing plates directly next to ours. The atmosphere was gloomy and cramped, food was almost never topped up and could barely walk in between tables due to the sheer amount of people surrounding, very uncomfortable. It was dark and somewhat creepy, not what I expected at all, especially for the price. Even sent an email to the head office but days later am yet to get a reply, really unprofessional and clearly not a serious establishment.

This was an extremely underwhelming experience. The food itself was sub par at best, coupled with the long wait time for the food to be replenished once empty simply led to a poor dining experience. Along with this, staff were slow to clear plates, even when they were aware that the plates were no longer being eaten from. Some members of staff stood there idly, rather than clearing the plates.

So disappointed, really should have asked for a refund, I came in hungry and left hungry the food was that bad! I had a couple people telling me they had nice food (before they moved their branch) so I wanted to try this place. I paid over £50 for 2 of us and it was disgusting!! All the food was stone cold, nothing had any flavour to it, the only good part was the chicken wings they were quite nice! I regret leaving without saying anything however the guy that served us was nowhere to be seen anymore and I felt embarrassed to say anything! One worker was already in a big argument as we was leaving our seats. Really feel foolish for not getting my money back, total waste of time not even the deserts have any flavour! Will never come back lesson learnt!
