Too bad, I would’ve given a better review because I think the BBQ selection was manageable. But the service was terrible, very small options for dessert, they didn’t stock up the food often, so we and other customers had a 2hr slot, spent a lot of the time waiting for the restock. They also charged me £15 for my 4 year old (she only had chips and a little bit of udons). I didn’t mind paying because I didn’t even check the price, but after reading and hearing that it wasn’t suppose to cost that for her, why was we charged that much?

Dear Management Team, I hope this message finds you well. I recently dined at your establishment and would like to provide feedback regarding my experience. While I appreciate the effort put into offering a diverse selection of dishes from around the world, I regret to inform you that there were significant shortcomings in several aspects of the dining experience. Firstly, I would like to address the Indian section of the menu. It was disappointing to note that the dishes lacked authenticity and were prepared using jarred sauces, which compromised the true essence of Indian cuisine. As a patron with a keen appreciation for genuine flavors, this was particularly disheartening. Similarly, the Asian section of the menu left much to be desired. The quality of the food was subpar, as some dishes were served cold and lacked the expected taste profile. Given the premium prices charged, the disparity between the anticipated culinary experience and the actual offering was glaring. Furthermore, the overall cleanliness and presentation of the dining area were below expectations. The cluttered tables and visibly dirty plates and utensils detracted from the ambiance and detracted from the dining experience. I understand that maintaining high standards in the hospitality industry can be challenging, but as a discerning customer, I believe it is crucial to communicate areas for improvement. I trust that you will take this feedback constructively and consider it as an opportunity to enhance the quality of service and culinary offerings at your establishment. The service is so hit and miss. A coffee shop at a station should have the better baristas due to its location. Most baristas in East Croydon Costa are not up to the standard required for such high pace location, that is mainly serving single drinks. The “new(ish)” staff have been there since last year and it’s still like watching Bambi walk for the first time. If, the till operator/barista taking the order was more focused on getting drinks orders correct, listening to the customers actual order and not assuming, and stop focusing on asking if I want a pastry, this would be a good start. Sometimes they are asking before I’ve even verbalised my order. I understand the requirement for an add on sale but not at the cost of the main purchase. I am trying out the other coffee establishments at East Croydon Station, maybe I’ll be back in Costa one day!!! It would be 2.5 for service really.
