Little Gem 💎 Inside is a bit dark and not very inviting you to stay, which is a shame! Food is delicious, tasty, and homemade 😍 Service is super friendly, with a real intention to bring customer satisfaction. It's low-key, reasonably priced with a touch of Middle Eastern flavours. I am recommending this place to all my friends living in the area. Will come back!

Giving a 1 star as I received unwelcoming service and was made to feel like I’m too much hassle. I’m Coeliac and gluten free. The chefs had minimal knowledge of allergies and what gluten is and it felt as if they didn’t want to be troubled and couldn’t be bothered so rather than swapping items or even just saying we cannot accommodate in a friendly manor or pretending to show they care or any empathy, they made me feel like crap and ruined my day. Never have i dealt with such rude chefs within a food establishment.

A true joy! We have been to many breakfast places both in South London and elsewhere, but Joy Cafe has to be the best in many respects. The love that is put into crafting every dish/breakfast plate and every dessert is truly incredible. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, staff are friendly and pleasant and food and service amazing. Accordingly, it can get busy as word of mouth is effective. It is no exaggeration to state that Joy cafe is a treasure and I pray that it remains here for many years. The chef could be sought after by many high end London institutions and restaurants (especially for his desserts) but I pray he stays

Really enjoyed popping in to this incredible place in tooting to get some cake and dessert. We’ve never been before and just loved the white selection and atmosphere.

Absolutely always the best meal!! And I think for a very good price.

The food was nice , waiter as well but when we went to pay they charged us for the things we didn’t ordered ,they are not giving you a bill when you pay at the till so if you don’t ask you don’t know if you being overcharged. They are rude when I told that this is not that I ordered and try to prove they right . So even though the food was nice our birthday breakfast experience was spoiled.

We only indulged in a coffee and a pastry, however, Joy seems like a fabulous neighborhood place to chill. The staff was friendly. The customers open and personable. Relaxed and enjoyed our time sipping a cappuccino.

Absolutely beautiful food & wonderful service. I always try & come here when in the area. The wraps are delicious - just ate mine with a perfect jar of fresh squeezed orange-juice. Fantastic Shakshuka. Hurry here - lovely.

By far the best cafe in Tooting Bec/Balham area. All the staff are attentive and polite and the food has always been amazing every time I've visited and/or brought my partner or friends over. Reasonably priced as well.

Second time ordering a bespoke cake for a birthday party. Excellent service - took on board all my requests, cake was so tasty and beautiful, and didn't break the bank. Will continue to use them, as they are so friendly too.

Food was excellent, very good quality and arrived in good time. We ordered four of the brunch items and whilst it's a little on the pricey side, it's absolutely worth it as you get a large portion and was very tasty. Service was very helpful and we had Fatine as our server who was lovely and friendly. We'll definitely be coming back here again.

Ordered chocolate gateu cake for a celebration. Most soft moist cake there is and they use butter cream no icing which makes it even more better. My future cake orders are definitely from this place

I loooove this cafe! The staff are lovely, the food is sublime and the coffee is very good for London. The cafe has a rustic vibe with tables, booths and long tables - great for breakfast dates, community meetings and young family brunches. All food is halal and Cooked in-house and delicious and chef really outdoes himself with presentation (very insta). They even do cakes to eat in or to order for occasions!

I ordered a laser tag birthday cake for my twins 11th birthday. It was amazing and everyone was asking where the cake was from as tasted lovely. Thanks Joy Cafe will be ordering from you in the future for all birthdays.

The black forest cake is not at all authentic, the amarena cherries are missing and the cream tastes like additives. Since it is very easy to make a cake nowadays, it would be nice if these were homemade instead of being prepackaged and consequently full of preservatives. The cream really does taste like detergent!!

One of the best B-day cakes. I've ordered a passion fruit and mango flavour b-day cake for my friend and we all loved it. The flavour was really nice, not too sweet and the cake was very light. Yummy, and delicious. Personalised message on the top made everyone smile and laugh, and it was a talking piece for a while. Our favourite. Will recommend Joy Cafe for sure. Thank you guys,

I had a lovely experience. Malek provided excellent levels of customer service. The food is delicious especially the refreshing passion storm fruit smoothie (mango,passion fruit and Aloevera). It hit the spot! I would recommend anyone to come and visit. Whether it’s quiet time alone by yourself or catching up with friends and family.

Everything was amazing really enjoyed it. Just a little advice.. I wish they would have given a few more pieces of toast to go with the full English breakfast. Other than that, very enjoyable.

Cosy, spacious, quality and affordable. All four of these categories ticked are rare in this city. Good bakery options and fresh food on order. The service was good and they let you enjoy your time ie not too intrusive.

Absolutely love their cakes. the chef especially made a cocomelon two tier cake inside the icing it had chocolate cake it was very tasty and was a hit at our party. Everyone absolutely loved it. At the party everyone was asking from where I got this cake. Because not only it looked good but it tasted delicious.

Love a place like this. Perfect to plug in your computer, have a quick meeting, work or even for a chat with friends. Food is good! No loud music. Wifi. Just simply perfect.

We had brunch of tuna melt, eggs Benedict, the Vegan, farmers breakfast accompanied by coffee. All drew high praise.

This is our favourite family cafe. The kids love the milkshakes and pancakes and I love the quesadillas. So good! We also order all our birthday cakes from here. I dislike cream and icing but theirs is so light and fresh that I don't mind at all. We love the biscoff and the rainbow cake. It's a real gem.

I met a friend here for coffee on a Weds morning. We were able to walk in, plenty of spaces available. There are plenty of different sized tables etc, my favourite is the sofa in the middle - nice to sit and chat with a coffee. ⭐️ Lots of space ⭐️ Lovely atmosphere ⭐️ Freshly made food - lots of cake’s & sandwiches on display. ⭐️ Vegan options ➖ limited vegan options ➖ not the fastest service despite being empty

I come here with the better half often. My go to is the chargrilled chicken quinoa salad. They have a healthy and wide selection of juices too for most occasions. And I can stand by their english breakfast being a solid hangover cure. A sure bet for the area !

Nice cafe with a relaxed atmosphere, loads of space, good food, a great selection of cakes and friendly attentive staff. I ordered the chicken wrap which was presented well and tasted nice. Drinks wise, we had their juices and I could see they were freshly made right Infront of us. We were spoilt for choice when it came to cakes as they all looked good - I opted for the pistachio cake which was delicious! Areas to improve - their lunch menu could be improved as there were only two items to choose from and a bit more attention to detail to taking orders are as we did not receive an item we had ordered. Overall, we were all pleased with the food and the experience and we shall certainly be returning.

Ordered for the first time off UberEats, I tried to raise support via the app but it didn’t let me so I’m posting here. We ordered two veggie breakfasts, whilst the quantities were good, the food was cold (despite being delivered ahead of time). Poached eggs are shown in the sample image but we received something that hardly resembles an egg. My children would’ve done a better job frying an egg. We also requested utensils but none were provided.

I returned a year later for another birthday cake for my son and, once again, delighted with it.

This is a lovely cafe. I often go there for coffee because they serve a selection of delicious small biscuits that I can sneak into my weight loss plan. My friend and I then decided to meet there for lunch, which was an absolute revelation. We had an excellent lamb kofte that came with a perfect bucket of fries and side salad. It was great food at a great price. I highly recommend it.

Had a lovely vegan brunch. One of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh avocado and hummus, delicious Shashuka and potatoes cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff as we have a young baby. Make sure you’re hungry coz the portions are really generous. Great experience and we will be regulars here from now on!

Regularly pop in for the exception cakes and puddings! Food here is truly brilliant, a real hidden gem. Its usually quite quiet and I'm not sure why as it really is a great spot so grab a bit to eat or sit and work. Green juice is great, coffee is great, food is fresh and delicious. What more could you want!

Honestly, this cafe has been my favorite for years(Before it was called tartine). The prices are very reasonable, great value for money I recommend the sandwiches. The service is always high quality and they have contact plugs so you can work/study whilst sipping a coffee or fresh squeezed smoothie.

I was here last Saturday and service was slow. The food took 45 minutes to arrive and they totally forgot about my coffee. The food was good though.

It’s a nice place, just wish the cakes used better ingredients for the sponge bit. It always feels a bit artificial. My honest review.

I was invited to meet up with a few colleague for lunch at this beautiful Cafe. My food was good and really amazing tasty. Prior to meet up with my colleagues, I went to the female toilet and accidentally I left behind my mobile phone inside the toilet until we were about exchange our phone numbers and to say goodbye. Then I realised my phone was left inside the female toilet. My phone was found and handed back to the manager. Who was kindly returned to me.
