Joseph's Fish & Chips in Southwark

Un super spot pas loin de Tower Bridge, un excellent fish and chips, avec une excellente qualité de produit, et un prix très sympa pour Londres. Et un accueil vraiment super sympa. Je recommande chaudement.

Valoro altamente a Joseph’s. El pescado con papas fritas siempre se cocina fresco y tengo que decir que el pescado es el mejor que encontrarás en la zona. Un buen trozo de pescado grueso. Voy allí de un viernes por la noche y siempre está ocupado, por lo tanto, tendrá que esperar mientras se prepara su comida. A lo largo de los años he visitado la mayoría de las tiendas de pescado y patatas fritas en Bermondsey (SE 1 & SE 16 ) y en comparación con las otras astilladoras en Bermondsey, Josephs es con diferencia el mejor y lo recomendaría encarecidamente. Una nota rápida, los pasteles que venden son de estilo artesanal “posh” y no los habituales de tipo pukka, sin embargo, hay un Greggs al lado donde siempre puedes conseguir un Steak Bake para ir con tus patatas fritas

Nos alojamos en la zona y pedimos el fish & chips. El tamaño de las porciones era generoso y lleno! Soy exigente con mi pescado y esto fue excelente: empanado ligero, crujiente, no graso, y el pescado estaba perfectamente cocinado. Muy recomendable!

Muy buen pescado y patatas fritas en un ambiente muy relajante. Sabroso y no grasiento. Tiene algunas mesas. Música ambiental. Comería allí de nuevo.

First experience on Thursday back again on Sunday . Excellent food , friendly service . Don't over order. Portions generous. A must if in the area .

Every element is spot on, perfect chips, crunchy fish, sauces are great and the little accompaniments are on point. Also has a banging lunch deal!

We stopped in here at the end of a long day of walking. Just ordered the standard cod and chips which was huge. Big pieces of fish, lots of chips, and tarter included. They throw in some extra mushy peas as a bonus. I have been in London for a week and this was by far the best value for money and the best meal of the trip.

Was looking forward to trying Joseph's but unfortunately the service was very slow only to then receive stale tasting crusty old chips that looked like they had been refried. Very disappointed!

I have to say I was very impressed. Quick friendly service and tasty fish and chips. Ticked all the boxes for a last minute unplanned take away.

Excellent fish and chips, lovely crispy chips and beautiful white fish, definitely worth a try. We had to wait a few minutes for it to be cooked but worth the wait.

Immaculate shop, very clean and good variety of food on the menu, excellent value, amazing lunchtime deals! food was cooked fresh and staff were friendly and polite, woukd definitely recommend a visit

Heading home late from work. Needed some brownie points and bring home dinner. Have been here before twice BUT as luck would have it, I needed some food and headed here for dinner. On my last visit, visits(!) there wasn’t any veggie food but to be fair, the chips were awesome and the mushy peas pushed me over the edge. All was okay. Today that changed!!!! Today, along with the cod and fish items for the family, I managed to grab the cauliflower pie. My words are unable to say what a meal I had. Pie, chips, peas, gravy. Game changer. We had such a lovely meal. I don’t want to diss south London but if you live here you know as well as I do that it is a desert for good fish and chips. Some of the best restaurants in the world can be found nearby but can you get good fish and chips - it’s a no from me. This changes today!!! Today we had amazing fish and chips in SE1. Game changer. I do hope Joseph’s goes from strength to strength and I throughly look forward to returning. Thank you x

My first time at Joseph’s Fish and Chips and it was great! Takeaway haddock, chips and mushy peas - came freshly cooked and delicious and garnished with pickled red onion and home made tartare sauce on the side. Mushy peas were the best I’ve had down South. Large potion, good value, highly recommended.
