Had an order for to good to go, time to pick up between 3 and 4. Paid for the to good to go goodie bag, when I arrived at 3.34 the shop was closed. NO NOTIFICATION to say it would be closing early. A waste of my time and petrol. Now having to go for a refund. Up set customer.

Quick visit. Had lunch here, Polite staff. Great Venue. Shame that in the quieter months you still have no access to main hall with buying the weekend pass. Look forward to returning soon.

Just plants, Reasonable selection, lots of shrubs more perennials than annuals.

Unacceptable. Had a booking for between Christmas and New Year (booked for months) and cancelled on us with 5 days notice. Good luck to us finding somewhere else last minute this time of year!!

I was staying in the area and had lunch here four times. The experience in terms of service and food was variable. With regards to service, there is an older waitress who needs more training and does not know the menu very well. She seemed very unsure of herself and had trouble recording our order, having to repeat ourselves several times. Answers to our reasonably basic questions about the menu were "I think so..." and that did not fill us with much confidence. The younger waitresses were very good, attentive and friendly - so something must be going well in terms of staff training. We were also given warm tap water with no ice on a hot, summer day. This was partly due to the high price of drinks - £3.10 for canned drinks and £5.75+ for a milkshake. The surf and turf burger was really good - I would recommend this, as the crayfish, pawns and burger were lovely with the sauce. This was consistently good. The gammon, egg, chips and peas was also yummy and good value. The meat was well-cooked, as were the chips. The haddock was really nice on one occasion, with light and crispy batter. But on another occasion the batter was hard and overcooked, accompanied by cold chips and peas.

£18 for pie with ‘bubble and squeak’, the pie was clearly shop bought, the ‘bubble and squeak’ was mash with carrot and peas in. Very unfortunately they also gave our 4 year old food poisoning from what I can only assume was an undercooked hotdog. Ordered a full sized Camembert, it came with one small (clearly shop bought roll), requested more as one roll is clearly not enough for a whole Camembert, and were charged £10 for 4 additional rolls, £2.50 a roll!! Asked for a jug of water and there was mould from the pump in the water. Whole experience was diabolical and cost us almost £200.
