Friendly reception, excellent service and reasonably priced. Would have liked to sit outside and soak up the atmosphere but it was raining. The cakes were enormous and imaginatively served. Thoroughly recommended. Use them or lose them

Really pleasant surroundings, lovely crockery and polite and attentive staff. Had a lovely afternoon tea here which felt like a real treat. Between the 4 of us we had regular, vegetarian and vegan afternoon teas and we were all very happy with our experience. Would definitely visit again.

Just got back from a lovely family lunch. The loveliest people work here and it really has a homely feel. The pies are out of this world.

This is a superb Cafe/Restaurant & just a 5 minute walk from the Utilta Arena. The food is freshly cooked so expect to wait a few minutes while you relax in the wonderful Historic surroundings. Our sandwiches & salads were delicious & the Victoria Chips are fabulous. If you are visiting Brindley Place try Jonathan's you won't be disappointed.

This place needs to be shouted from the roof tops, I visited this evening with my family and we have not stopped speaking about it since. This is a hidden gem that really needs to be noticed! The interior is beautiful and very cosy. I will be returning whenever I can. The food (I rave about the chips) is all amazing. The staff cannot be faulted in any way. I will make sure I do everything in my power to have this place noticed as it deserves.

Very expensive for an average sandwich, ok cake & reasonable coffee. Slow service considering it was not busy! First and only visit.

I popped into Jonathans in The Roundhouse last weekend. Lovely atmosphere and ambience! I thoroughly enjoyed my chai latte and piece of cake; The slices are massive! not good for my waist line lol! I can't wait to visit again, some of the Sunday Roasts i saw get served up looked amazing. Staff were kind and polite which makes the experience all the more pleasurable.

An excellent lunch. We tried the pies, served with imaginative side salad and chips dressed with their special spices. Menu had borrowed from the past but been given a modern twist. Pie and chips really hot and presented attractively and with obvious care. So good to find an enthusiastic chef, concerned for quality. Delighted to find this establishment.

This is an absolute delight - a cobbled courtyard setting with excellent food, good value and friendly staff. Perfect after a walk or bike ride along the canal.

I don’t usually bother with reviews but after visiting Jonathan’s in the Roundhouse and meeting the family team I wanted to. Firstly what a beautiful building!, being a National Trust site, as you would expect the building is full of history and has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The Jonathan’s interior and theme complement the building perfectly, I was lucky enough to meet both Paul and John briefly, who are two brothers running the family restaurant and tea room, I understand this is their newly launched second restaurant ans I can see why the first is a success. The service, cleanliness and food are superb, staff nice and attentive, i even managed a pudding! Highly recommend!

After a visit to Birmingham to see my friends, discovered this hidden gem. Beautifully presented and relaxed ambiance. The Salmon was perfect and the carrots glazed in butter and fennel were the best I’ve tried. Considering the hospitality industry are still struggling for staff and good staff at that, Jonathan’s still exceeded our expectations with great service and top quality food. although the wait was that little bit longer it was worth every moment. Really Friendly staff and a Great chef .. The afternoon tea to follow was just delicious. Loved spotting the little pieces of Art Deco dotted around this truly beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended

An excellent Sunday Roast at this unique location based at the historic Roundhouse. Great food and friendly service. This is the second Jonathan’s reincarnation in Birmingham. Best of luck to Paul, former chef at the original Jonathan’s, and his team.

Hello It has been a while since the service of the restaurant has been bad. Unfortunately, a problem occurred for the third time and I decided to write this time. I ordered food that instead of barberry, they put plain chalou pilaf And then when I called, he said that the cook says as far as I remembered!!!!!

We visited The Colmore yesterday afternoon 4/11 with the intention of popping in for a quick civilised drink away from the hustle & bustle of the German market. Whilst enjoying a lovely glass of Prosecco in comfortable / plush surroundings with gorgeous smells emanating from the kitchen, we decided to stop longer and enjoyed another drink and a leisurely lunch. We perused the menu and even though the lovely lady server was kind enough to offer her recommendation of the cheesy garlic bread with nouja as a lighter option when she heard us say we didn’t want much., our mouths were already watering from reading about all the different pizzas, so we opted for the carnivore pizza, olives and bbq dip. WOW- I’ve always said my favourite pizza was one we enjoyed in Naples years ago and no UK restaurant has ever come close to this - however the colmores pizza is now my joint best ever pizza - cooked to perfection, served piping hot and plentiful toppings which covered the whole base- an absolute taste sensation and the BBQ dip was sublime. The colmore ticks all the boxes - for super service, lovely surroundings, fabulous food & an extensive selection of different drinks.
