Jomidar Lounge in Northampton

We visited the Jomidor last night for a meal. We were warmly welcomed, had extremely good service and great food Staff are attentive and helpful. Good variety of dishes on the menu.

Lovely place and very hospitable, all the employees are lovely and the takeaway was lovely. This was the Second time this week!!

Visited for my wife and friends birthday, the service was superb even sang happy birthday for them ! Food was exceptional

A walk-in on a Wednesday evening at 18:30. No problem for a table. Got a table and menu very quickly. I ordered a draft beer off the menu, but there is no Draft beer, only bottles! Took some time to get my order in. The waiters were busy on their phones and chatting to look up. Once ordered the food was served nicely. Very nice flavours, tender lamb, nice and spicy. I will return in the future.

Really delicious food. Attentive staff. By no means cheap compared to other local Indian restaurants, but in fairness we did opt for the ‘specials’, which were something a bit different and the portions were plentiful. We arrived around 6.15 and the restaurant was chilly. They had temporary heaters going but we sat in our coats for most of the meal. I did ask the waiter if he could turn on the electric heater by us but he couldn’t get it going. It didn’t spoil the evening but for best of £100 for two adults and a child, you want to be warm! Our 2nd visit and not our last. Worth a visit.

Second visit,first was opening night which was a car crash but every business needs to get settled.Went for a second visit, very busy which is great for the restaurant. After one hour and 10 minutes just to order , I had lost interest. Terribly slow service, food is ok,not fantastic.sorry Jomidar I won’t be back. Good restaurants locally that are well established and much better.Shame , lots of people coming,if they don’t get control people won’t come.

My brother and I visited this restaurant for the first time last night and had a fantastic meal-beautifully cooked, generous portions and very authentic. Service was outstanding and Chad, who I believe is the manager was a great host, made us feel very much at home and engaged in conversation with us regularly to ensure everything about the evening was to our satisfaction. He could not have done any more and it made the whole night very memorable He also treated me to a drink as it was my birthday. Please try this restaurant-you won't be disappointed.

Nicely cooked and well presented food, attentive staff. Shame the dessert menu was straight from the freezer and very standard fare. Needs to be indian sweets with something other than ice-cream with a cadbury flake. I'll go back even though it was very bright lighting in the restaurant, needs to be dimmed down a bit.

I first saw this place during my commutes to work at the start of this year, after it was transformed from old village pub into a vibrant, welcoming Indian restaurant. I originally thought it was an unusual location for something like this, however after driving past many times and seeing its lights on in the evening, I became curious and checked out the reviews. After seeing unanimously positive reviews, I decided to take my wife here to celebrate 8 years of us being together. The bright lighting and stylish interior design impressed us upon entrance, and there was a warm welcome from the front of house. We were shown to a table straight away and asked if the temperature was okay where we would be sat, which summed up the level of service and attentiveness the staff here have. Everything was timed perfectly and the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend trying the vegetable platter starter as well as the mains, cheese naan, and of course popadoms. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of food and service. Even on a Tuesday night, there were people really enjoying the food here which says it all really. We wish Jomidar Lounge the best in success for the future.

Having heard good things since the restaurants opening we visited with some friends on a busy Saturday evening. The new look of this previous village pub works well with a large staffed bar to greet you on entry with dining areas either side. A dedicated waiting area for dining or to collect takeaways also works well without impacting on those seated at the tables. Although the restaurant was full our drinks promptly arrived followed by Poppadum's and dips. Instead of starters the four of us decided to have a few side dishes with our mains. Three of us chose chef specials whilst the other had their usual curry dish. All of us were very impressed with the food which was fresh, full of flavour and plentiful. The usual frozen dessert menu was offered, along with a complimentary Brandy, which was nice however, we were far to full and had to drive home. The service was great throughout with the staff attentive and personable. Not many places compare to my favourite Northampton curry restaurant but Jomindar Lounge certainly came close and im looking forward to visiting again.

Nice restaurant & friendly staff. Food was mostly good. However the restaurant was a bit cold & way too bright! Very bright lighting- needs dimming down somewhat.

Wow Wow Wow this is my 6 th visit since it opened the food is superb and the staff are mega friendly, we have been on our date nights and come with friends and family . Consistent food and service every time.

My first visit here, I can only say that it was probably the best Indian food I have ever eaten. I had the mixed sizzling Tawa. Wow what flavours, rice and sides were also excellent. Can’t wait to return. Well done to the staff, very frendly and experienced.

We enjoyed a great evening out with friends yesterday. Good food, great service and a relaxed and attractive environment. We’ve had a lovely takeaway too 😊 Great to have this new business in Creaton. We will be regular customers!

Interesting menu, really tasty food and a smile on the faces of the staff. Great to see such a dreadful run down pub replaced with a bright, well laid out restaurant, the toilets are spotless. Early days, didn't have any draught beer and parking is limited but certainly worth another visit with friends to share the experience.

The food is fantastic!! Spicy and tasty. Absolutely recommend. The service and timings were in need of a little refining but quite honestly when the food tastes that good we will go back .

Delicious food (can recommend the Lounge jalfrezi) and great service. We’re so pleased this restaurant has opened in Creaton!

After trying their takeaway we had a meal in the restaurant last night, I must say it was one of the best Indian meals I've had outside of India, thank you all a the Jomidar Lounge for a great night, its nice to see our old village pud transformed into a great village amenity .

We stopped by for a takeaway. The guys are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The whole family enjoyed their dinner with the chicken tikka being really succulent and a firm favourite. Nice beer while we waited too.
