Great service, good value, delicious food

Delivery person couldn't speak English and spent 3 minutes trying to work out they wanted the delivery code. Chip portion was a lot smaller than usual, bit disappointed as a regular customer via Just Eat

Lovely freshly cooked fish, not dried out. Chips were perfect 👍. Also they were hot when delivered: this does not happen with every delivery. We always know that we are going to get quality food. Keep up the good work.

Food was late due to the Just eat drivers not collecting from the restaurant, but once food arrived it was thankfully still very hot and very tasty. Will definitely buy from Johns again, will just collect next time

We had ours delivered Friday really tasty we all found the chips great one had sausage and found it delicious 3 of us had cod and chips definitely buy again

Ordered for 5.30pm at 4.30pm. Arrived at 6.15. Chips were gritty and both sausages were lukewarm. Both cod’s were swimming in oil.

Ordered cod and chips over the phone, collected and got home within 5 minutes the batter was soggy and the chips cold and looked like been around for a while, this is unusual as I use this place often

unfortunately they only delivered 1 battered sausage instead of 2. apart from that nice

My meal was delivered by a very polite courier. I had ordered mini cod and chips plus mushy peas. The meal was piping hot, fish was delicious, lovely and white and covered in a delicious golden, crispy batter. Chips and mushy peas were just as delicious and very generous portions. The best fish and chips I've had for along time. Many thanks

The fish is absolutely disgusting skin all on it no batter on it basically cold and sat there AVOID absolutely disgusting RUBBISH made me want to cry myself to sleep and never wake up will never be returning to this place absolute horror

Pros: The cod and chips is actually very tasty Prices are competitively affordable Cons: Service- staff sound quite rude They say your order will be ready in 10 minutes, but when you arrive (just over 10 mins), you are having to wait around a long time before the food is eventually served. They need to be realistic with the timeframe they give a customer - when picking up meals Don't offer home deliveries, need to book this a Uber Eat, Just Eat etc,

Food was great. But delivery time kept moving. Originally was 30mins from ordering. Ended up being an hour and 10 from ordering

food was late arrived cold. when i called the restaurant to ask whether the driver had only my order or another one ive been told i need to calm down and that i am way too hyper guy said his name was Chris he was extremely rude to me.

Delivery Courier was very polite, helpful and courteous, 5 stars for the them. Food, as always, was delicious and huge!

Bland fish, no taste at all. Chips look and taste so NOT fresh! I tried one and my thoughts were confirmed, they were re-fried! Have to pay for sauces which I thought fair enough but opening the box I didn’t fix a single slice of lemon, which is absolutely ridiculous… it’s fish and chips!!!!!

I am sorry to say that it arrived barely warm enough to want to eat compared to previous orders which have been delivered still very hot , not impressed today at all.

Never had to complain about John's before but, just need to say the children's chips were from lunchtime. This has happened only once before, I felt it needed saying. Not complaining at all. I only buy from John's, just an off day I guess.

We were delivered the wrong order, we waited over an hour and then received cold pizza from Pizza Hut. My daughter answered the door and brought the food in, I ran out to find the driver but he had gone. I cannot eat pizza due to allergies. I called Pizza Hut and Johns but they obviously don’t have any control over food once it is handed to the just Eat driver. Very frustrating

The picture of the sausages show 2 sausages not one has I got this need changing to you are only getting one not two like the pictures also nearly 4 pound for one sausage is a lot of money when u can get one for 2 pound not happy with that

In the end I went down to the shop. They said that the driver had not arrived, even though on the app it said courier was there. They said that they couldn't give me the order unless I cancelled it. I tried several times to do this but the app didn't allow me into the correct mode to allow me to cancel. So I therefore had no option to go to another chip shop and purchase another order. The order delivered late was cold. I feel I should be refunded all money I've paid on the original order.

Best fish and chips in town. Thick, juicy fish. ‘Proper’ chip shop chips (not dried out as you can get in other chip shops). Good portion size. Solidified its place as my default chip shop.

Paid for a pickled egg and got a pickled onion. But apart from that food was lovely and on quick delivery.

Best fish and chips in the area. Tried several of the local fish and chips and always come back to this one. Even though we live further away we still go back. Food is decent size for decent price. Freshly cooked. Not too greasy.
