Stopped off whilst having a wander around, so glad we did. Had the toasties, and one of the tastiest I've ever had. Lovely service and the place is nice and clean. So if your in Barmouth go and give your taste buds a treat and pop in for a snack or two, we'll worth it!

Absolutely stunning food. We stopped as an impromptu where to eat decision whilst touring the town. So glad we did. Exceptional service, recommendations on menu items. Both gents behind the counter were fun, patient and informative. Toasties, panninis, meal deals. The works. Full fillings, fast service. Please, if you find yourself in barmouth, find these guys and their food. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped off for a coffee and was very impressed by the cleanliness of the premises. Although we didn't eat, the food on display looked fresh and appetising. The two young gentlemen working that day, (the owners, I think), were very attentive and seemed eager to please. Will certainly be back.

Barmouth isn't really known for great places for baguettes and paninis to take away - JJs hopefully changes this - we were really impressed by the attention put into preparing our baguettes - faultless service and presentation. Really hope that the business takes off 👍

Been waiting for them to open back up. Proper summer food perfect for a little walk along the harbour. I strongly recommend The Chicken, Chorizo and Spicy Tomato Sauce panini 🤤👏🏼

Absolutely wonderful, a first visit but certainly not the last. Best pizza I’ve had in about 10 years. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff. One of the best places to eat in Tywyn by far. Fabulous.

Great staff - very helpful & friendly, fab event, really good atmosphere - the gig was amazing & would really like to book here to stay in the future. It was good that, although the place was packed, you didn't have to wait to be served. Ty Glyndwr: diolch o galon

Staying nearby we decided to pop into one of our nearby local pubs and to our delight we found it very friendly and welcoming my wife and I can highly recommend it if you are considering dropping in

My first experience of Phoenix. This is a brilliant place, on the long Bangor High Street, but slightly hidden, being set back from the road. It has a large interior with amazing decorations. Many different styles of seating to suit different use expectations. The coffee is excellent. The food we had was very good - Farmhouse Pizza, and chicken kebab with a very tasty Turkish style mixed salad and rice. The service very friendly and the price was very reasonable, and in my view is excellent value. I saw they do a lot of Turkish style cakes and sweets - for my next visit. This is a good place to get food on Sunday when most of Bangor is closed. It is also a good place for a private chat or gathering and you do not want lots of background noise. It has high chairs and some toys for young children. I hear they hope to get a licence to sell wines and develop a more bistro style offering, which will be very welcome in Bangor.
