Great place , food is excellent the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome lots of homade food which I found really much nicer than other cafe who buy in , called in with our little legs 🐶 and she got a treat well worth a visit 😊.

Never any issues at Jill's Catering. Always lovely food and a friendly atmosphere. The views are also an extra added bonus.

We've called in a couple of times when walking in the area. The first time, we didn't know it existed but spotted it and thought we'd give it a go. The weather was good so we sat outside having nice hot drinks and scones. The views were fantastic as was the food and drink. We've since called in on the way back from another walk and this time we had drinks and cake, the salted caramel cheesecake was probably one of the nicest desserts I've ever had, amazing! The food that was coming out all looked great, we'll definitely return to have a proper meal. Lovely service and food in a great spot.

Been a few times, staff are really accommodating and friendly. Food is first class and they put up with my low carb diet fads 🤣.

Great food with friendly staff in a venue with spectacular views across the valley. Popped in as driving past and was very impressed, we will return. The cakes are especially good.

We live just down the hill…we can see the tea room from the back garden! So why go there? The easy answer is that it’s outstanding. It’s not flash… it’s not Michelin… but never aimed to be. The team are always ALWAYS friendly and go out of their way to bring you the best service. Even on a busy day it happens pretty quickly too. As for the food…. Wow! People have raved about the bacon sandwich…but for me the crowning glory is Jill’s Carrot Cake! I’ve had a lot of them… all over the place… but Jill’s is simply the best I’ve ever come across - moist, fruity, great topping - just fabulous! The cheesecakes are also great (still exploring those) but the carrot cake…..can’t be beaten in my view. We even bought a whole one for our daughter’s birthday cake a couple of years ago! So… hungry… get to Jill’s place! And then there’s the view! This is Northumberland - expect grey and cloud… but when it lifts…what a vista from the terrace!

We keep returning to Jill's not just because the food is great but also for the friendly welcome and brilliant service.

Anyone thinking of opening a cafe should visit Jill's for a masterclass! Excellent food, well presented, generous portions,good value, lovely views but what sets it apart is the excellent service. My family of 5 visited on Friday and Saturday, it was busy but the service was spot on, efficient, warm and friendly. I can see why locals would keep returning. It's only open Fri-Sun - a treat for the end of the week!

Delicious, freshly made, food and drink served with good humour and a friendly smile. What what more could you ask for. Highly recommended and we will most definitely be back for more.

Really friendly with excellent service and food. Highly recommended. Pro tip: the car park can be a tight squeeze if you have a larger vehicle, but it is possible to park on the roadside nearby which, for us, worked out much better.

Great find - lovely pot of tea - cakes and food really good and generous portions. We were able to sit outside an enjoy the views but from Monday May 17 the will be on side as well. Really friendly and got those who felt chilly they brought out fleeced and blankets. Highly recommend a stop here.

The only disappointment about Jill's is that Greggs pasties will never taste the same again after you have tried the delicious offerings served up by Jill! Great food at great prices.

Stopped off on our way back from holiday here for cake and coffee. What a lovely place! The outside tables have beautiful views for miles, staff are such nice people and the quality of the food and drink is very high. We have noted the address in our holiday guide and will be back

Found this gem of a cafe by pure luck! Amazing food, wonderful views and friendly service. Took away scrumptious cakes too. We will be back ..... even though we live in Glasgow!

I found this tea room by chance noticing the small sign on the main rd between Hexham and Allendale and decided to pop in for a cup of tea and a jacket potato with prawns and salad along with a raspberry and almond cake. I was greeted with a spacious car park and a modern refurbished interior with both indoor and outdoor seating available. There is plenty of choice on the menu and I can safely say I was highly satisfied with the quality and quantity of everything I ordered! The prices were also very reasonable and combine all this with a friendly atmosphere and beautiful window views makes this one of the best tea rooms I’ve ever visited. Without a doubt I shall be back the next time I’m in the local area!

Popped in for afternoon coffee... The homemade scone with homemade raspberry jam and clotted cream was delicious and fruit pavlova that my husband chose looked very impressive! We'll be back when we are in the area again.

The views of the valley are reason enough to visit, but these are matched by the home baking & cooking. Everything fresh & tasty, can’t recommend this hidden gem highly enough Plus the staff are super friendly!

We visited Jill's on a Sunday afternoon to sample her home made cakes and tea. The three cheesecakes (lemon, white chocolate with raspberry and chocolate Whispa) were delicious and the service really friendly and professional. We'll be back!

Called in for lunch after spotting the sign on the side of the road. I had chicken & ham broth and OH had raspberry cheesecake. Food was reasonably priced and excellent. Fantastic views, friendly staff excellent service. Took 2 pieces of carrot cake away for the next day!

What a lovely place this is. It's in a great spot for views across the Allen Valley. Simply wonderful on a sunny day. Jill's food is always very good. I'd highly recommend a visit to Jill's Catering!!
