It is 20 years since we were last here, all we can remember from the last time was that we really enjoyed it. This time we were reminded why. Super friendly and welcoming, service was first rate and food top notch! We will have no hesitation in coming back very soon now we live not too far away. Thanks for a great evening.

We were recently in this restaurant recommended by the local travellodge (airport). 1.6 miles away. Not only were we really looked after by the great staff.... the 8 of us eat out at alot of Indian restaurants, and this was up there with the best!

A warm welcome, great service, food & atmosphere. Usually choose the buffet with a great mix of mild & spicy & love the choice of dessert too. Highly recommend!

I can’t fault our experience at Jilabis this evening. We were two couples celebrating our wedding anniversaries. Unbeatable service, made us feel like kings. Lovely main meals, complementary sweet, fruit, coffee and an unexpected surprise of a glass of champagne each.

Came for a private baby shower. We were given the space at the back all to ourselves. The staff were extremely helpful when setting and tidying up. The food was absolutely delicious. Not sure why this was my first time here but will defo be coming back. They even gave us complimentary desserts and hospitality was amazing. Thank you to all the staff here who helped make the day special for my sister in law and guests.

Omg This is the bestest Indian restaurant in the UK. Very lovely staff and food was amazing had my birthday dinner with my family and my kids just loved it. Definitely coming back for all family occasions.

The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately a piece of chicken I had was raw. We told the waiter and he said it would pass it on but has no apology and heard no more. The Sunday buffet was otherwise fine but just fine. Not nearly as nice as it used to be. Dry bhajis. Undercooked chicken legs, overcooked tikka. Such a shame.

I’ve recently dined at Jilabi restaurant,It was a lovely welcoming staff greeted with warm smiles and hospitality and very good ambiance. We were asked about the buffet system, they provided us with a lot of variety’s have ever seen. The entire team worked seamlessly together, creating an atmosphere of efficiency and professionalism. The bus staff swiftly cleared tables and refilled water glasses without disruption, and the host checked in to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout the evening. It’s clear that the staff are well-trained and deeply committed to providing top-notch services. They have celebrated my friend birthday with all fruit juice with a small cake and a candle . The staff made our day with beautiful service from all the staff. I highly recommend this Restaurant not only for its delicious cuisine but also for its remarkable service. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special. We will undoubtedly be returning soon and bringing friends to share in the wonderful experience, Thanks again..!

A bangladeshi run restaurant, been here a hand full of times. Service was great! They created a made to order lamb dish for me which was full of great massala and herbs spices. The butter chicken was fired up and made spicier than usual was was fantastic! They had a thick creamy spicy dhal which was too good with the lamb!Will be back soon!

Our brother recommended we go here for the first time. Was the best decision ever made. The best indian we have had in UK. Its a big statement but Price, service and food we have never had anything better and we travel everywhere. This is our go to restaurant from now on. Thank you to the whole Team at Jilabi. Ashfaq.

Well what can I say! Excellent customer service, friendly and welcoming always checking to see if we needed any more drinks. The poppadoms and the sauces that accompanied them were really moreish and the food when it came out was piping hot, really tasty and fresh, and everyone received their food at the same time. Complimentary dessert was delicious and we could choose from either tea or coffee which was also complimentary. To top it off, we had complimentary Bailey's as we were celebrating my brothers 60th birthday. All in all, we had a great time and experience, would definitely recommend 👌 10/10

First time we visited this place based on the reviews and we was not dissapointed. Service was amazing 10/10. Lovely staff, clean place, lovely atmosphere, food was delicious and at a decent price. Staff were really on the ball with their service was 10/10. They gave us complimentry desserts (chocolate cake and ice cream), complimentry fruit platter, jalebi and ghalab jaman and complimentry desi tea! We was wowed with all the complimentry things they gave. Never had a place ever do that Really enjoyed experience, would certainly be keeping this as a regular and have also recommended it to family, friends and colleagues..thank you to all the staff for the lovely service. You were amazing!

Sunday gourmet buffet was excellent. Lot off Non veg offerings like Chicken, Lamb and Fish. Taste is excellent. Only drawback is that the buffet has a delayed start. But the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and made our day great with their top notch service.

Ordered delivery Sunday, after waiting over an hour had to suffer watered down balti, soggy naan and king prawn starter which was extra and only 1 prawn, this place used to be fantastic, but sorry to say standards have fallen, also no phone manners

I came down for my birthday and when i say the service and food were both absolutely amazing. I would highly highly recommend this place. A very special shoutout to one of the workers named Govinda he took very very good care of us without him this place would be incomplete.

Overall a great experience, friendly and helpful staff with good tasting food. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant mid week. No reservation was needed The staff were very professional and the turnaround time for the food to arrive was good. The dishes tasted really nice, the butter chicken was below average it was more so a sweet sauce with chicken tikka added however I wouldn’t say bad tasting. They gave us a whole load of complimentary desserts, chocolate cake, ice cream, gulab jamun and jilabi finishing off with a delicious Indian chaa! If you’re local it’s definitely a place to visit. Enjoy.

What can I say brilliant place to eat.first time I went to this restaurant I was amazed by such a nice welcome . Staff couldn’t be more friendly n helpful so nice .food was very nice most of all the deserts n tea at the end was the best part . Ordered for takeaway for the first time. Phone manor and delivery service was fantastic. However, the food was very disappointing. Vegetable samosa were bland and tasted like they were fried in dirty fat. Madras sauce was just heat and lacked flavour. Fried rice very greasy and lumpy. Onion salad, the onions were going brown. Naan tasted ok, bit on the soggy side. Was only given one pot of mint sauce and red sauce to accompany 2x vegetable samosa starters and 2 poppadoms. Most of the food went in the bin, whilst i appreciate i was gone half 10 when ordered, standards should not slip. Nearly £30 in the bin.

Jilabi provided outside catering for an event for us, we had a selection of menu items for a buffet. Everyone liked the food that was a mix of sides and curry’s. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A good experience thanks to the team!

I ordered a takeaway this evening. Food arrived in 1 hour and was delicious. The only thing, Jhal dish described as "slightly hot" appeared to be extremely hot 🔥, but I guess it depends on who is used to what. I was not able to eat much of it which is a shame as meat was nicely done, and sauce was rich. It tasted like a good quality, homemade meal (just really hot 🔥 😃) Dips were good too. Next time I will ring before ordering to find out which food is not that much spicy:).

me and my friend walked in without a booking, we had a mix starter which was lovely, for mains we had a chicken tikka biryani and lamb desi bhuna and a plain naan, it was gorgeous, after we ate wet asked for the bill but instead they bought us complementary desserts and desi tea which was really nice of them, they couldn't do enough and made us feel special

Ordered a takeaway & it was awful! Arrived stone cold, watery sauces, 4 pieces of chicken per curry & the lamb chops are more like cheap chump chops - no meat all fat & bone. Such a shame as this place used to be amazing!!!

Visited with a large party and was seen to immediately by the friendly and attentive staff. They checked in on us frequently and our delicious food arrived swiftly. Upon finishing our meal we were served complimentary coffee and desserts, and an extra slice of chocolate cake for our friend's birthday. Left with smiles on our faces and full bellies!

Food was amazing but biggest shout out goes to the staff. They were so incredibly friendly and welcoming and polite; more than happy to accomodate a large group of 10. They brought out tea / coffee / brownies. They then found out it was my birthday and were so lovely and sung to me and brought cake and punch. Honestly I think rhe best customer service I've ever received, thank you so much <3

went here yesterday and really enjoyed it. the atmosphere was brilliant, the place was beautifully decorated and the staff were so friendly and helpful. the customer service was amazing too. the food was great and plated really nicely, and they also treated us with dessert, tea and some indian specialties which we didn’t expect but loved! blew my expectations away, and we will definitely be returning.

Just visited this place tonight didnt book turn up and all the staff found us a table straight away this place was very busy for a Wednesday night my only criticism was my chicken Bhuna could've done with a bit more sauce to dip my nan bread in. But other than that it was good value and nice fresh dishes and atmosphere was good.

Waited 2 hours for a starter and probably had to wait another 2 for the main. Got up and left. Funny as the waiter was rushing us to get the order…. So we can then wait 2 hours… awful restaurant and service. It was the first and last time for sure!

Our first time at Jilabi, apparently a buffet is offered daily which we had. The waiter didn’t ask if we wanted poppadums, only if we wanted 2 or 4. They charged us for it off course. A waiter hovered around us while we chose our food making a list, it was uncomfortable, I felt I was being watched. The lamb was tender but overall the food was not spiced well and lacked flavour. The desserts were even more disappointing. Sadly a disappointing buffet for £18 per person, not worth it.

We went to the restaurant for a late birthday meal and not only were the staff really helpful and friendly, they went all out for this celebration. The food was great, perfect place for gathering or date night. This is one of the those hidden germs! And it goes to show that it s the staff in the restaurant that make the place for sure.

We went as a family of 18 at 1800 hrs.me and the wife had set meals.the rest of the family had buffet.not the best service 1 1/2 hours for our meal.charged for tubs to take what we couldn't eat service appalling.will not be re attending.

Jalabi' s is one of my regular places for a decent curry. However, the price of the food has risen considerably I paid about £15 more than I usually do. I will look for a cheaper place.

We went for buffet. Buffet was good they had many options and then on table they served some extra kebabs, naans, butter chicken. We had booked table for 15 so they tried to give special services so that we would dine in again 😊

18 of us came for dinner last night. The restaurant was very busy (good sign). As a group we had agreed a fixed price deal - poppadum, set starter, choice of any main, rice or naan. The starter itself was a full meal - a huge platter of sizzling meat with a salad accompaniment; absolutely gorgeous. The mains were beautifully cooked and presented, the peshwari naan the best that I have ever had. By this time we were full to overflowing. Nevertheless, much to our surprise, we were then served a dessert of fruit and chocolate cake, followed be coffee or tea. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. We will be back very soon.

This restaurant was utterly amazing. Today it was my birthday and when they had found out they had given us complimentary food, desserts and drinks. They went above and beyond. The food was just amazing and you could tell the effort they had put in it. It would always fill us up and tasted amazing. The service here was the best service in any restaurant and they were very kind and very patient. The decorations for Valentine’s Day were just amazing and the shop always would be clean.

AWFUL FOOD & SERVICE!! I vistied yesterday, and when ordering felt very rushed and forced by the waiter on what to order - I asked if they could make the chicken tikka masaala more spicy and instead he pretty much forced/ordered for me to have butter chicken, which i later realised was a more expensive dish! We asked for a jug of water for the table in addition to us ordering paid soft drinks, but were told “we dont offer jugs of water” which was odd. My mixed kebab starter arrived and the food did not taste good at all, worst of all the lamb chop that came with it had no lamb on it, just fat only therefore was unedible (clearly them using cheap cuts of meat/ingredients) i have included a photo of the lamb chop. After i took a photo of the lamb chop, I noticed the waiter hovering around behind me and he asked if everything was ok, and I told him I wasnt happy with the starter and he very quickly took the plate away and called the manager, the manager offered me another lamb chop but I was already put off at this point and declined and just asked for the cost of it to be taken off my bill at the end. My main finally came after a long wait, and was supposed to be butter chicken - the dish that arrived at the table was far from it and looked and tasted awful! The chicken looked like cheap supermarket produce that you find in the cold meats section and tasted odd, worst of all they had blatantly watered down the sauce as butter chicken is supposed to have a thick and creamy sauce, but the consistency of what I was served was basically runny water (which i assume they do to cut costs and make more money, rather than provide quality food) you could actually even taste water when i tried the curry and there was no flavour at all. I was not happy eating this and informed the manager that we will just pay for our drinks and leave as I did not feel safe eating the mess that was being served to us. He reluctantly agreed and we walked out. I will never visit this restaurant again, food was disgusting!

Ordered food 1 and a half hour later still no food delivered…. phone restaurant 10 times to be laughed at down the phone ..so we called driver and he said he don’t know where our address is absolute terrible service will never eat or order from them again as we was regular customers the service right down hill …!

Food used to be good, the last few times have been average. Ordered food, I was told the driver was outside…. He was nowhere to be seen. Manager at the restaurant was incredibly rude on the phone and hung up multiple times. I used to recommend this place, now I most certainly wouldn’t.

I had heard good things about this place recently. However, I would NOT recommend. The chicken was chewy and flavour was very average. Pilau rice tasted pretty much like plain rice. Tarka daal was nice, sag aloo wasn’t great. We couldn’t finish the food so asked if we could pack everything away in container and take it home. The staff looked so surprised and offended that we wanted to take the food home. They then charged us £1 per container (it was these tiny foil container that you get when takeout ordered) so charged us extra £4 for containers. First time in my life I’ve had to pay for containers to take home Indian food after not being able to finish. Overall, poor food and poor service. Will not be going again.

The food here was fantastic and the service was lovely. I was out with a friend and this was one of the only places open after 12am that was serving restaurant level food.

What a welcoming, friendly and family orientated place! I am beyond ecstatic at the service my family and I received today. Our waiters Hasan and Govinder were always at hand and constantly asking if we were OK. I will be most definitely returning again and recommending to others. Thank you!!

Haven't been here for a couple of years. Food was average. Yoghurt bread was greasy, not fluffy. We had 4 different curries, and 3 tasted the same. Notice on tables saying they prefer cash, though they did accept our card payment. Shame as we used this place for birthday meals, dnt think we will be rushing back any time soon.

Our go to Indian when in solihull and again we had a great time. Just the two of us this time, Monday night is buffet night and we had a great choice of things, ranging from starters to curry and dessert for afters Again the staff spoiled us by bringing extra fresh made food over, and the boss made time for a chat, and all at a low price.

The food was good, but they really need to work on their attitude towards customers. Buffet got delayed and when requested the reason for delay, waiter responds "I don't know, I am not the chef". Through out the lunch, there was no respect served and too judgemental. Average spread. Please avoid if you are okay to be treated bad.

Been going here for over 6/7 years for meals birthdays and different celebrations, went in December for an uncles birthday there was about 14 of us, some had starters some never, we placed our orders for mains went outside for cigarette and while we were out there we saw a car arrive, to which a member of staff from jilabi ran to the car and collected a bag which looked to be bulging with food, and what looked like foil containers with food in, went back in after only been outside 5 mins and out food was being served so I’m assuming the delivery was our curries which they must of ordered from somewhere else!! So Christmas Day came which we’d made our booking well early as we have done the past 3 years and to which i must say has been amazing, this year was not, the place was so crowded as they had well overbooked, food was terrible, drumstick on a plate bit of beef a potato scallop thing and a hard chicken nugget served with salad, we all had this there was 10 of us, other tables had crackers and fizz we didn’t, then they put 2 curry’s on the table, between 10 people, then slopped chips, peppers chicken nibbles and fish in the middle of table on a napkin with not a pair of serving tongs in sight, want explained how service was working but asked about buffet food, was told to go help ourselves the queue was enormous and no food on the buffet at all, absolutely shocking for £40 an adult and £20 per child, there were staff there who hadn’t got a clue what they were doing and had disgusting attitudes towards us, I confronted the manager who didn’t have a word to say to anything we said and blatantly told him we weren’t paying anymore money for our food, they’d had the deposit and even that was too much, we did pay for our drinks to be courteous but in my honest opinion I wish we hadn’t, I told them they’d lost our custom and we would never be coming back absolutely disgusting
