Lovely place with great food. The decor brought back memories of the times we visited India.

Stupendous! The vibe of this place is absolutely spot on and transports you into India and back, all without the costly plane ticket! The food is amazing, freshly prepared, filling and the price is spot on! The chicken breast pieces were very tender. We will be returning, next time to try the afternoon teas! Ensure you try the Limca soft drink if you’ve never had it before! It’s sweet and tasty! A truly authentic experience and one of the best around!

We ordered butter chicken and dhal makani, which was delicious and the service was alround good. We ordered the food as a takeaway but on pickup you can see the atmosphere was great in the resturant....worth eating out!

Looks like employees are directly come from Mumbai. They treat you by your presence. Lady waitress said we need to order minimum three items. I didn’t see her telling the same for other customers. Wish this lady gets some training and visit other restaurants to learn from them.

Zindiya is one of the best in Birmingham and certainly in Moseley. Street food in its most refined form. Excellent products, superb culinary craftsmanship and the most polite of attention by all staffs. We’ve been coming for years and it continues to surprise an delight us. Thank you!

Absolutely loved their food. We ordered beetroot chaat & paneer dosa. Best I have ever tasted. Sambhar had veggies in it, dosa was perfect! We don’t order chaat normally due to it being high in carbs, Beetroot chaat though was exceptionally good, high in protein as you get loads of chickpeas with it. Masala chai was sugar free just how i like it. Amazing food. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing! We went for a bottomless brunch and it was such great value for money - we got 3 food dishes and numerous cocktails. Our waiter Rohan was so attentive and everything tasted amazing. Would highly recommend and I’m very sad I don’t live nearby to go more frequently.

My wife invited me to an Afternoon Tea, that she had been given as a birthday gift. The premises was presented well, and the staff were engaging and friendly. They explained the make up of the tea, and the dishes involved, which was pretty much a tasting session of their menu. This was served with a choice of teas, and my wife also had a Prosecco cocktail and I had a cider. Very pleased, although some foods were a little spicier than I would normally choose. Overall a lovely different treat. My only criticism was that it was very noisy, and I do not think it would be a place I would enjoy if it was fuller.

One of our favourite places to eat. Really enjoy this kind of food- wish there were more places like it. Especially like that green sauce you get there. Wife loves the vegan options.

I visited Zindiya for dinner as I was in Birmingham for one night and they are a top 5 Indian restaurant on Time Out. I was warmly welcomed and Lavlesh gave fantastic service helping me navigate the menu and just being all round lovely. The food was amazing; full of flavour and a brilliant selection of street food. They also had a fantastic selection of drinks with craft beer on tap. The place itself has a cool atmosphere. It was quiet when I visited but it was a Sunday night. I suspect if you come on a Friday or Saturday night it will be very lively. Whilst I ate there was a very steady flow of take out orders which says a lot. All in all a fantastic restaurant. I would highly recommend and visit again. Incredibly good value too.

Had a family meal for 4 and a couple of drinks , excellent service and food … well worth a visit , the lamb curry was Bostin …. Will definitely revisit

Chicken is definitely not freshly cooked..... It was cold from inside..... Chollai bhaturai were nice because they had to be cooked fresh....rest mostly frozen and re-heated ....you know if you know your food. Do not have their papdi chaat and tandoori chicken...not nice at all..

We went for afternoon tea AKA High Chai and it was amazing! Definitely great value for money- the portions were very good so we ended up taking some of the cakes home. Service was great, really chilled but attentive- Anmol was fab!

Had a great time at Zindiya. The Aloo Chaat was super tasty, and the Samosa Chaat had the perfect spice. The Chai was spot on, and even the Fries were great. Big shoutout to Lavlesh, who greeted us so warmly—really made the visit special. Definitely worth checking out!

An inspired take on Afternoon Tea! The food was delicious and the presentation was photo-worthy. I enjoyed the decor, the strings of fairy lights, the colourful teapots, and more. The background music was non-obtrusive and suited the venue. Anmol, our server, was helpful, friendly, and he explained our afternoon tea options well. My friend and I arrived on the dot of 4pm as they opened so it was difficult to tell what the atmosphere would be like later in the evening. I would have marked the food down by just half a star for the difficult-to-get-a-knife-through-it gluten free scone. I eventually realised that it had probably been microwaved. All of the savoury items were tasty, especially the aloo tikki chaat (full flavoured, beautifully spiced and a bit tangy), and the bhel puri (light, moorish, interesting textures). Around £22 per person for a generous amount of food. I’d DEFINITELY eat here again, and maybe invite a whole group of friends next time.

Been coming here for almost five years and love bringing our friends. Great, friendly service and such creative and tasty dishes. The cocktail menu is also fab and the other drinks choices very reasonably priced. We just tried the thali on the special Birmingham Restaurant Festival menu to taste some dishes we hadn't tried from the menu and were really impressed.

I've been coming to Zindiya for five years and have immensely enjoyed each meal. As have the friends and family I've taken along. My favourites are the dosas, chilli cauliflower and soya tikka grill. Service is also charming and efficient while there's a nice buzz on busy weekends. The drinks menu, including Purity beers on tap and inventive cocktails, is also excellent. You're unlikely to have room for dessert, but won't be disappointed if you opt for the sweet samosas.

The food was so delicious and fresh! The food was reasonably priced as well. They had all the typical Indian street foods available. We were spoilt for choice! The staff was very friendly and service was quick. Atmosphere was lovely, my first time here and I will definitely come again.

Beautifully cooked food. Freshly done in the restaurant. Staff very helpful. The desserts were a bit too sweet for me as I am diabetic but my friends enjoyed theres. Definitely recommend

We were told that what we ordered would not be enough and that we definitely needed to order more, so we added 1 shared started and ended up with quite a lot left overs. We were cutlery short which we asked for twice and then just got ourselves because they had forgotten again. Food was alright but I wouldn't go back.

We were four of us and this has been one of the worst experience. Rude staff. Vadapav - the vada was cold and not really vada , no taste in okra fries, pander tikka blend and not marinated well..etc I mean I wonder why when we were actually the 1st ones in the restaurant. Would never step in again

Friendly & flavoursome! Consistancy of quality food & service over the years is FABulous. Great fun eatin or takeaway - creative curry flavours but like no where else.....apart from in Indian street market!! Oooh & have I mentioned the GR8 cocktails!!?

We were bought afternoon tea as a gift. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and tea free flowing. The afternoon tea had cucumber sandwiches, Dahl, chicken tikka and puffed wheat slaw. All of it was very tasty. The scones, jam and clotted cream all washed down with masala chai. I would highly recommend

Booked the bottomless brunch for my sister's birthday. We had a mixture of vegan, vegetarians and fish eaters and found the menu had great choices for all. The drink choices were delicious along with the street food on offer. The staff were great! We are all keen to come back very soon!

I highly recommend Zindiya! We initially booked the bottomless brunch for 5 of us for New Years Eve but on the day we weren’t able to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. I emailed Zindiya a few weeks later and explained what happened and they were extremely accommodating in letting us rebook our bottomless brunch with them. I thought this was very considerate of them as we had not called them on the day of New Years Eve to tell them we weren’t attending. We attended the bottomless brunch this afternoon and everything from the food, drinks, and service was fantastic! There was so much variety in terms of food which is rare for a bottomless brunch and all of the food was full of flavour. The cocktails were delicious and what was even better was that all of the drinks were bottomless from the soft drinks, spirits, hot drinks and cocktails! I can’t recommend this bottomless brunch enough and thank you to the staff at Zindiya for a lovely afternoon.

We visited for High Chai afternoon tea today and were thoroughly impressed. There was plenty of food, all freshly made, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. There was a wonderful atmosphere, a lot of detail has gone into the decor and the staff were really friendly, attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

Did not know what to expect as this was our first Indian afternoon tea. We were definitely not disappointed! Super food and ambience (and clean toilets, very important).

This is a review that pains me to write because I have been visiting this eatery for 3 years with pleasant experience. However, the attitude by the owners over a misunderstanding on Wednesday was sad to see. On Wednesday, I patronised Zindiya to try their curries which was a new addition to their menu. Despite showing my IB App which entitled me to a 50% discount of curries- the staff casually forgot to apply it to my bill and I only realised after I have left. My contact on instagram went unreplied so I put out a review and told them I will delete it immediately once they've replied. Aka it was just a review to get their attention. As such once they replied to me, I deleted it immediately. However, they started to accuse me of posting negative reviews and explaining how badly this will affect them (I did say I'd remove the review so not sure what the issue was) and then lectured me about how to contact them etc etc instead of actually addressing my concern. At the end, they asked me for proof of my IB membership and after showing a screenshot of my membership they did nothing to resolve the issue and instead continually blamed me for the review and for my manner of contacting them. They then claimed I didn't show them the IB app in person which I clearly did but it's easier of course to blame the customer than finding a solution. They then disengaged by citing ' they're good people who don't want to end their night with negativity ' . Not sure what good people have to do with this ... but it's telling that the focus is to get customers to delete their review (which I already said I would do and did) and lecturing them about how they should contact business rather than address the actual mistake of overcharging and providing solution. Very disappointed

One of the best places to eat indian food . The service was really good and the ambience was amazing. Food was really tasty and it's definitely worth visiting this place. I personally enjoyed chilli chicken and chicken 65 and also the curries were really good.

Went on a Sunday for High Chai. Food was fantastic and present in a fun way and was very tasty. Service was efficient, patient and we had a very warm welcome. We stayed for around two hours and never felt rushed. Absolutely great time had and will definitely go again. Thankyou Zindiya for a memorable afternoon.

Zindiya is an outstanding hangout place for family and friends. The extensive menu selection makes it a complete dining destination. Manager Lavlesh is amazing, and Chef Chamba is the best chef in town. I love this place.😍😍😍

Myself and my friend came here for High Chai and it was beautiful. So much food and vibrant flavours, great selection of foods, great prices and lovely decor. Will definitely be back.

Myself and 7 friends were a big party and booked the bottomless Brunch. (We'd been before as a smaller group and loved it!) Even with a bigger party the people on staff were so on it. Definitely got our money's worth. The food was so good and you get plenty . Lovely to share together. Recommend the chickpea curry and any of the chilli portions (the chilli paneer is my fave). But honestly everything on the menu is so tasty. The staff were absolute stars though. Rohan, Lavlesh and Tanmayee were so friendly and attentive, I cannot rave enough! They really made it a great experience. Gave great recommendations too. Quick to take drink orders and the drinks are so nice. 10/10 big recommend. Looking forward to going again :)

We have been here a few times and have always found the food and service excellent. Yesterday I tried the lamb curry on the new menu and it was flawless. Gunpowder potatoes were also good. Great service from Anmol and Ayaz 👌🏻

While the food isn't terrible or inedible, it lacks the vibrant flavours one would expect from this type of food. The chaat dishes were particularly disappointing, missing the flavours that imly chutney should provide. The okra fries were quite nice with plenty of seasoning. Additionally, the lassi was watered down with too much ice diminishing its flavour. The ambiance is okay, capturing some of the charm of Indian street food stalls, but it doesn't quite compensate for the culinary shortcomings. Service was average, neither memorable nor problematic. Overall, Zindiya offers an experience that falls short of expectations, delivering a meal that is more forgettable than flavourful.

Great food and calming atmosphere

I really liked the theme and surrounding of the restaurant which takes you to the streets of India and those pre independence vibe. The food portion is smaller then I thought but the taste was 10/10. Would love visit again to have their afternoon chai.

We came for the Afternoon High Chai with our two little ones and despite coming years after first hearing about this place we were not disappointed. 3 reasons I would highly recommend: Quality of food - taste, portion sizes and presentation were all great Service - the staff are all very friendly and attentive, the booking process was simple and the staff were especially helpful catering for our two young children with their brilliant kids menu Ambience - the authentic Indian decor all around it just felt brilliant during our visit and is a must visit for anyone looking for Afternoon Tea places in Birmingham

A well overdue anniversary meal from last year from my kids. I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed at all, the food was 5* as well as the service! Our appointment was for 2 but as we reached their well before our time we got a table without any hassle so thank u 😊 food was afternoon tea so go with a empty stomach we enjoyed very much 👌👌

Visited the restaurant with my partner, it was our first time here, and we weren't disappointed. We were served by Lavlesh and his service was impeccable. The food was amazing, especially the masala chai. We ordered the samosa chat, papri chat, onion bhajji and hariyali chicken tikka. All of them were amazing but the clear winner amongst them was the samosa chat. The tamarind sauce on papri chat, did overpower the entire dish, it could have been better but that didn't spoil the experience. The ambience was very apt for the theme of the restaurant. Would visit again with our friends and suggest others too. Keep up the good work :)

Fantastic food and atmosphere, with fabulous staff and a great buzz. Indian streetfood served in small portions, a bit like tapas, so you'll want to order a few portions or order several to share. Everything that we tasted was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Disappointing.. Been here three times and the food is just average. Gone backwards. So many other places offering much better flavoursome dishes. The first time I came was with my wife when it first opened. Thought it was good, but not good enough to return quickly. Then I came with friends last year and it wasn't bad, but I wasn't feeling the wow factor. Nephew was visiting and wanted to go to Moseley village and after a last minute ring round this was the only place not fully booked... you can guess why! We had starters and decided not to order mains and left.

Ordered from Zindiya after friends recommended, but I was quite disappointed. Samosa chaat and aloo tikki chaat were average to be honest we have had better. Dosas were the worst, sambhar tasteless and coconut chutney seemed off in taste. Would never go back again or order again.

1st time here and Needless to say we'll be back!! The food was amazing, the atmosphere and decor is brilliant. However, the only thing that let it down from getting a full house of 5 stars is the service. Whilst I appreciate the staff work hard, to add a 12% service charge to the bill and then get annoyed when asked to remove it is not acceptable.

Was too busy eating to take proper photos of the food... sorry. Excellent veggie and vegan selection, the paneer tikka was exceptional, the dosa was crispy and the sambhar was divine!! Would highly recommend this place, the music is great and matches the old Indian decor. I will be trying the High Chai next time, a cool pot of hot chai, served with bombay sandwiches and other savoury and sweet treats, it looked amazing.

Experienced afternoon tea here on a Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was really good and the bollywood style decor amazing. I loved the fact I was able to order a bottle of Limca, in a traditional original glass bottle! Food was nice and a good twist Indian style on Afternoon Tea. The only let down was the Masala Chai, which wasn't well spiced and wasn't very hot, the urn they used to store it wasn't very good. A word of caution in you are driving leave plenty of time to find parking, as it is hard to park nearby. Other than that we will visit again!

We ordered malai chicken tikka and waiting 40 mins than we got the dish but it was so hard like rubber and taste less aswell . Very disappointing

Love this restaurant! Have visited for both main menu and afternoon chai - highly recommend both! Their main menu has so much choice and the portions are generous. Afternoon chai was lovely- preferred the desserts to the savouries but still all so tasty! The staff are very welcoming, lovely and kind. They are also happy to accommodate most needs to ensure you have a good experience. Came with family, friends and two under two's. Even the babies enjoyed themselves!

Nice place, somehow the food tasted much better last time when we went there, but overall it’s a good experience.

It's a brilliant place to be; beautifully decorated, the staff were lovely, and the food was full of flavors. We were a group of around 25 ladies, and everyone loved the food and ambience. We pre-booked, and they made a lovely arrangement to accommodate all of us in one place. Tanmayee served us on the day and attended each one of us, making sure we all received the meal and everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend this place ❤️

Amazing food, great place to visit for authentic Indian street food.

Really nice place and packed even though it was between lunch and dinner! Excellent cocktails! The food was nice, but maybe we weren’t given the spice level that some might get - Maybe the staff could ask if you want it apna style.

Amazing food, perfect portions and our waiter Ayaz was incredible. Really friendly, knowledgable and helped to guide us around the menu. Great selection of beers and an amazing cocktail menu. Overall I just couldn’t fault the place. Can’t wait to go back.
