Really good food at a very reasonable price. Good range of dishes and generous portions. The service was superb and we will definitely be ordering again soon.

Decided to order from this place on a whim. Glad we did now as it’s the best food, not greasy at all, very reasonable prices compared to most for a Chinese. You can see their kitchen is kept very clean and polite owners. Would highly recommend.

We feel incredibly lucky to call Jewel of Oriental our neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Treating ourselves there every other week has become a delightful tradition, and we've never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious. Although it's a collection-only establishment, which has never been an issue for us, it can be a bit tricky to get through on the phone during busy times. Yet, it's a testament to how beloved it is by the locals. Trust us, though, the wait is absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a recommendation, definitely try the Kung Po Tofu—it's a real standout!

The food is beyond fault, with generous portions, just had the frozen remains from a takeaway from a few weeks ago, tasted even better.

We have ordered from them for a while now and known it was good but every single person commented on how good the food was! Good quality ingredients with a great taste - perfectly cooked. Have ordered take aways from this place many times and the food has always being excellent. This place really is a jewel of Naphill, so much so that we travel 5 miles to get our take away food there.

Without a doubt, this is the best Chinese Takeaway in the area. Ordered a meal for 7.30 New Years Eve, it was bang on time. Plenty of people waiting for ordered and very busy. Food excellent, as ever and exceedingly tasty. Well done to the owners.

First time getting a takeaway from the Jewel of oriental. Tried many different Chineses' in the local area - Thame, Wycombe, Risborough and by far this takeaway was the best. Wait time was not too bad (35 mins from ordering on a Saturday and perhaps 10 minutes when collecting). It was clear that the food was freshly cooked and it tasted beautiful. I shall attach a photo of the menu (up to date), as we couldn't find one online prior to our visit.

Food good, service appalling. The food is always very tasty hence we return, but waiting times up to 1hr 50mins is just ridiculous. I wouldn’t mind if we were told this when ordering, but we are often waiting outside for 20-30mins even after we turn up 1.5hours after placing an order. No apology either. Really frustrating

3 stars is being generous. I can only say that I must stop trying other chinese takeaways and stick to my own local. Underwhelmed is another word, and "Don't order the seaweed" is 4 extra words.

Have always loved this take away, was always consistently good but recently something had changed, quality has gone downhill, food has become tough and tasteless and it's not cheap, the last 3 we have had have ended up in the bin, so not going back again.

Called up for collection, was advised 25 minutes to wait, longer than normal but it is a Friday so no issues. Arrived and had to wait for a total of 45 minutes - no explanation or apology. I wouldn't have minded if I was advised the correct time over the phone, I could have planned around the wait time instead of standing outside the takeaway for 45 minutes which affected my plans for the evening. Food is getting greasier every time I order, chips and chicken balls are soaked with oil, the paper bags are often transparent. Unfortunately won't be ordering from here again.

Really great place, though their (2020) new years effort was a bit lack lustre. The food is high quality and normally quite timely. Definitely recommend if you are after a decent meal with human sized portions.

we knew it would be busy, new years eve, and at 6.30, happily accepted the 1 hour wait. it came and went. we, along with many others, waited outside literally for hours. when anyone asked they were always told a bit longer. finally at 9, we were told "another 15 minutes". we declined and demanded a refund- as had many others whilst we were there. sadly they didn't seem to bothered but need too remember that not only have customers walked out, but they will not ever walk back in again. they should not take on orders they cannot fulfil.

Good, regular, reliable fare. Particularly like the dumplings and the beef with ginger and spring onions. Our go-to for a takeaway.

Fantastic Chinese. We are regulars at this takeaway and have never been disappointed. The food is always hot, fresh and really tasty. We always phone our order through in advance and more often then not it is ready when we get there, once or twice we’ve had to wait a little longer than expected but this hasn’t tainted our experience.

Waited one hour outside and my fortune cookie (“look at your surroundings”) was unhelpful and patronizing given the circumstances. Really disappointed! Will not be coming back ever again.

Has to be the best Chinese Takeaway in the Wycombe area, having lived in Wycombe for 44 years I've tried every Chinese takeaway and restaurant, most more than once, this is by far the best, 5* hygiene rating and a friendly service, we've probably tried 12 to 15 different dishes from there as well as the meal deals for 3 or 4 on special occassions, always great food.

This is the best Chinese in high wycombe. They don't do delivery unfortunately but its 100% worth it! I have tried loads in high wycombe and this is definitely the best. Good value for money and really friendly staff

Always excellent, authentic food!

Firstly there's a 10 year old taking the money and orders! Ordered the meal by phone, told an hour. Turned up in an hour, paid and then waited 1/2 an hour for my food! I wasn't the only one either. The food is ok, I've had better. If you want to complain, good luck, talk to the 10 year old! The parents who are in the kitchen won't come out to talk to you (I saw someone try). Not impressed!

Living local we use this as a fortnightly treat. Fairly priced and good quality food. Usually very quick service either in shop or ordered however it does get get so take this into account. Definitely will continue to use.

Gave this a try as I was in the area and I'm very partial to a good Chinese meal. I'll be honest, the food was tasty and it was ready in less tham 10 minutes (although it was a Monday) but I didn't think it was good value. I opted for a meal for one as I thought it seemed a good deal but the menu doesn't say it's only a half portion of rice and half portion of beef, and already mixed so by the time I was half way through my rice was swimming in juice. Was also more expensive than the price on the menu. Nice meal but disappointing value and I'm still hungry!

We are very lucky to have such a brilliant little take-away in Naphill. The foods is tasty and prepared really quickly. There are plenty of vegetarian options and they are happy to re-use the plastic containers if you wash them out and bring them with you - every little helps to reduce single use plastic.

Great food as always and very quick! By the time I get there the food is always ready, my parents always complain about the Chinese takeaways near us but since we have been recommended this by a friend we haven’t been anywhere else due to the authentic food.

While it's not the best Chinese around, it is impressively local to me and as such we go there pretty frequently. The food is always prepared quickly and tastes good. It's well priced and the staff are friendly. There could be a little more variety, but I tend to eat the same thing every time so that's neither here nor there. If you're nearby, give it a look.

We had takeaway on the day we moved in the area. As this was the closest Chinese takeaway and we were hungry, it was the place to go. We always order the same things and the singapore noodles had some weird paprika-like spice in it, that wasn't very pleasant to eat and beef chow main had very little meat in it. Price was good, but not going back.

Quick, hot and tasty; but, portion size less generous than other local take aways, and a little bit more expensive. Despite that, will continue to use.

Excellent food. Friendly service. Only open until 9pm which is restrictive. Parking not great.

The ordering process is slick (they employ someone that can listen and write well, it's a good start). Food is generally ready in around 15 minutes, and it seems no matter how big or small your order, they get it right without any of those frustrating missing dishes you sometimes get.

I thought I would give this place a try but I certainly won't be going again. I chose three dishes I am familiar with, a pork, a beef, a chicken and an egg fried rice plus a mixed Hors D'Oeuvres. I think the kitchen works on having pre cooked meats and pre prepared sauces that are just combined and heated up rather than cooked from fresh ingredients. The beef slices didn't even bend and if the sauce was washed off tasted of nothing, same with the pork. The rice was grey with almost no egg. I am biased as I have been travelling to Hong Kong, Singapore and China for over 30 years and eat from the roadside stalls where each dish is freshly prepared. The fried seaweed was great, spring rolls chewy. I might add that this is the first time I have ever given any food outlet a one star review. I hope I got them on a bad night.
