A group of 9 of us had a very disappointing lunch at Jesmond Dene House yesterday. The food was mediocre but our main complaint was about the terrible service. The table was booked for 12.30 and it was nearly 5pm when we finished our meal and were able to leave. Having been shown to our table we were ignored for about an hour before menus were produced and then it was about another hour before our drinks arrived. The dilatory service continued until eventually we were served coffee at about 4.30. At no time did anyone apologise for the long waits, ask if we were happy with the food or ask us if we would like more drinks. We were just ignored. Even when we asked for the service charge to be deducted from the bill we were not asked why. There was no engagement from the staff at any level. This inadequate and unprofessional service was not what we expected from a restaurant such as this and I don’t think any of us will be returning.

We came to celebrate Christmas as a group of 6 . Although it was inappropriate to complain as we were not the hosts : the food was almost entirely terrible. I had the mackerel as the starter . I cannot believe the chef had tried this it was so salty . My husband had the mushroom gnocchi . What a claggy, salty mess !! To be polite and not make a scene half of them were eaten and a tummy bug was used as a cover up for the rest not being eaten . I had the fish and mussels in a curry sauce . Again heavily over salted and the mussels were almost indistinguishable in the thick curry sauce . I had great hopes for the cheesecake and pistachio ice cream .! Again a disappointment - too much gelatin in the cheesecake or something that produced a gelatinous texture and the ice cream had no flavor . The Americano to finish was also poor . So disappointed for my friends as the bill would have been in excess of £350 for the 6 of us . As other reviews have motioned the service is also not of the standard to be expected if a venue that purports to be high end . The attentiveness of staff was lacking . We will not be returning and urge you to consider if this is the place for a special celebration.

He tenido mucha suerte de experimentar muchos tés de la tarde, en mi tiempo, pero tengo que decir que mi experiencia suya, Jesmond Dene Hotel fue una gran decepción. Calidad buena pero cantidad muy pobre y £ 29. 50 por persona vergonzoso. No espero ver grandes espacios entre las ofrendas en los platos, que eran muy pequeños. Ni siquiera teníamos un sándwich completo entre nosotros, solo un rollo de salchicha del tamaño de un bocado y dos pequeñas quiches como salado, es necesario mirar alrededor de los chicos a las ofertas en otros lugares muy mala relación calidad-precio. Creo que estás tocando para tu público rico Jesmond y Gosforth pero no hay necesidad de estafar - robo a la luz del día

My daughter is reading law at Newcastle and being a second year is living in Jesmond, therefore I found a boutique hotel that would suit all my needs. Great bed, beautiful room and easy access to her house and the Dene. I wanted to relax and enjoy my time alone too whilst I was there. For runners there is no better hotel. Quiet, safe, stunning building and friendly staff. The bar and restaurant very ambient. I think I would never stay anywhere else again.

I can see why it's a hotspot for weddings. Beautiful building inside and out with lovely mature gardens that are well tended. Food and service was great. Not in your face but calm, subdued yet efficient.

Muy promedio, muy caro almuerzo de domingo. Hemos estado a principios de este año y calificado la experiencia como muy buena - vale la pena el dinero. ¡Desde entonces todo ha fracasado! La producción fue de media a mala calidad y, a diferencia de la primera vez, dejé la mayor parte de la mía. No se emitió ningún menú de bebidas, la camarera, aunque haciendo todo lo posible no fue entrenado como en la visita inicial. El precio de la comida había aumentado con respecto al de la web - sitio web, ¡entonces se cobraba un cargo por servicio del diez por ciento! El dulce estaba por debajo de la par solo para terminar. No regresaremos.

Éramos 10 cenando en el restaurante Fern. En general, era un servicio muy lento y tuvimos que pedir cosas básicas como vasos para el agua, cubiertos adicionales e incluso un espacio adicional en la mesa, ya que solo estaba establecido para 9 personas. Después de cada plato, los platos sucios no se sacaban de la mesa antes de servir el siguiente plato. Al final de la comida todavía teníamos platos de pan en la mesa. La comida que tuvimos fue muy agradable, sin embargo, cada comida estaba fría. Después de esperar tanto tiempo para que se sirviera, sentimos que no podíamos enviarlo de vuelta para calentarlo. Just love this place!! Portions are huge and food is always tasty

Went for afternoon tea which was a gift from a relative using a voucher. The food was delicious, but we found the service a bit lacking. After we had been given a glass of fizz and pot of tea, the afternoon tea took a while to arrive. Nobody came over to check that we were happy with everything, and the pot of tea wasn’t refilled. That said the food was very good, and the building and surroundings are lovely.

September menu in the Fern restaurant. Bought the set meal for 2 over the telephone for my mother’s birthday present and booked a table. All paid for so they could simply go, enjoy good food and go home. The telephone service was excellent at this point but it was downhill from there! On arrival, my parents were told that the menu had changed as they didn’t have certain items, which was disappointing. The main course they ordered, pork, was salty and tough. When my mother told the waitress no alternative was offered. The set menu should have come with 2 glasses of wine. My parents ordered the meal and house wine as per the menu I had given them. When they went to pay for any outstanding items they were met with a terrible attitude from the waitress who told them ‘it’s unusual for your meal to be paid for over the phone as it’s usually gift vouchers’. This was in front of other customers, making my parents feel very embarrassed. She continued to charge them for the wine, telling them it wasn’t included. Only when my mother produced the menu I had printed for her did they relent but the whole situation was embarrassing and upsetting for my parents for whom, this was a well deserved treat! The staff basically questioned my parents and berated them until they were proven wrong. They told my parents ‘the menu doesn’t usually include wine’ and basically made them feel very uncomfortable. No apology was given. I have since emailed Jesmond Dene House myself to outline the terrible service and lack of training the staff have around their menus but also how to speak to and treat humans. No response has been received. Safe to say, we shall certainly not be returning nor would I recommend anyone buying a present/paying over the phone. Very upsetting.

Delivery driver delivered with care and very helpful

Visited today with family for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a birthday. For what was provided, it was very expensive and unremarkable. The lady who was serving was abrupt and it felt as though she didn’t want to be there. A ‘videographer’ was in the corner of the room videoing his afternoon tea and ‘organising’ staff to pose, serve (and re-serve) in order to get the perfect shot. Very distracting and if this was an ‘official’ shoot, could it not have been done away from other diners who may or may not inadvertently have been videoed in the background. Not very professional - either from the videographer or the hotel in my opinion. A request for a refill of teas was met with an ill disguised sigh and the details scribbled onto a piece of scrap paper. Three of the five menus had old coffee / tea stains on them. Not good. When we asked if the remaining food could be boxed, the sigh returned. I let it pass. A few minutes later, two boxes were unceremoniously dropped onto the table by the waitress who turned away without comment. At almost £30 a head for Afternoon Tea, we had expected better on just about every level. I doubt that we will return.

Disappointing menu which was quite limited. Skin on chunky chips were just like shop bought chios. Wild mushroom rigatoni was poor with barely visible mushrooms. Service was okay.

Tuvimos que recordar al personal sobre las bebidas que habíamos pedido y esperado 30 minutos; nuestros platos de entrada no se borraron de la mesa antes de que llegara nuestro plato principal. El plato principal estaba frío y había que devolverlo. A pesar de esto, la comida era agradable cuando finalmente se sirvió caliente. El personal no parecía interesado. No creas que volveremos.

Fuera para tomar café y pastel. Tuve que llamar la atención de las camareras para pedir un menú ya que no parecían querer ser comunicativos. Más de veinte minutos después, como la camarera no había vuelto a salir, no se había tomado nuestra orden. No estaba de ninguna manera ocupado, con apenas nadie dentro, así que no estoy seguro de lo que el personal estaba haciendo.

Food was fresh, not greasy at all. Will be ordering again.

We’ve had the fortune to stay at Jesmond Dene House a number of times and we’re never disappointed. From the lovely welcome on arrival, the service in the bar, to the excellent restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, that is both for the quality of the food and the service, the hotel is just such a great relaxing place to visit. The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning, beautiful gardens, mature huge trees contributing to a totally relaxed atmosphere and yet the hotel is less than three miles from Newcastle city centre. We will certainly be returning.

Kind and friendly staff on arrival, our waitress was called Jelena, and we couldn't fault anything with her service. The meal was amazing and we can't wait too have our wedding with you in a couple of weeks' time.

A bit disappointed this time! Somehow it didn’t taste like it usually did! The chicken wasn’t as flavoursome nor was The salad it just wasn’t right and there was no vinegar on the chips! A bit of a shame because we value the quality normally

Was quite excited to go for Sunday Lunch at Jesmond Dene House but left very disappointed. I had pretty high expectations for service & food given the reputation & price. The service was terrible, the restaurant was almost empty but none of tables had been cleared. We were sat right next to the noisy kitchen from which we could here banging & clashing throughout the meal. A shame as there were so many empty tables. Roast choice was half a chicken or beef. Chose chicken as didnt want beef. I was expecting a tender half chicken small easy to eat - french style - was served half a tough chicken took most of plate up, very difficult to eat & would have fed a family of four. Its £24 for one course - no dishes of veg all served on the plate - very very average for the price. Food was just warm & then they decided to open all the outside doors so all food cold. Asked them to close the doors & they did but 5 min later they were all open again. Service pretty non existant & very disorganised. We just wanted to leave so we didn’t order a second course. One of our party had a starter - 1 fishcake - £15. Happy to pay for great food & service in nice surroundings but you dont get that here.

Hmm, I thought this would be a special treat- afternoon tea at Jesmond Dene House. We booked for 6 people and were led to our table which had 5 place settings. We asked for champagne with our tea at a greatly inflated additional price and I am not kidding, it took an HOUR to receive said fizz because they "didn't have any champagne glasses". When the fizz arrived some glasses were only half full. The serving itself was very cake heavy with 2 coronation chicken finger slices and 2 egg finger slices but everything I tried tasted OK. Service was soo slow. Everytime we asked for anything it seemed like it was a great chore for them. When we asked for the bill we also asked for some boxes for the leftovers having seen other customers leaving with boxes. We asked for the bill and boxes 3 times and the third time one of the staff came to the table and asked my Mother in a very impolite way " what is it that you want". Then, in the end they brought us some flimsy foil to wrap up the cakes and sandwiches. I don't often give a bad review about the places I visit, I try to remain positive and balanced. I came away on that day feeling like our group were an afterthought and were treated fairly shoddily. I won't recommend this establishment to people- there are plenty of other venues that cost a lot less than Jesmond Dene House but provide so much more to their customers.

There's no doubt that the location and general setting of Jesmond Dene House Hotel is wonderful - set a mere couple of miles outside of Newcastle city centre - which is one reason my wife and I have gone back there at least once a year for either Sunday lunch or afternoon tea, especially since our daughter had her wedding reception there in 2014. Unfortunately, on this occasion we felt distinctly let down. Not only was the service slow for our afternoon tea (after being seated we waited twenty minutes for someone to ask whether or not we wanted tea or coffee), but the actual tea itself was very disappointing. Yes, I'm aware that most afternoon teas tend towards a carb and sugar overload at the expense of more savoury food, but two really really small (real-life finger-sized) sandwiches, small savoury scone, small quiche and sausage roll felt really inadequate - though the quality was of a high standard. Meanwhile, if you like lots of very sweet things, then this is Sugar Heaven all the way. The only consolation being that should you fall into a diabetic coma while eating all of this, the RVI is a very short distance away ... Seriously though, despite choosing to leave some of this high calorie food, we were left feeling somewhat queasy and uncomfortable for the rest of the day. Although the staff themselves were polite and pleasant (when we saw them) we did not sense a great commitment in what they did. Self-evidently, there weren't enough of them as they were busy tending to what I assume were wedding guests gathering out on the lovely patio area, as well as other customers in the dining room and bar. They were hard pushed to keep up with demand. Certainly, no one wants staff breathing down your neck every minute asking if everything is okay and would you like more tea/ coffee, but surely a walk-through motioning to people every couple of minutes would strike a good balance? Indeed, at the conclusion of our 'meal' an enquiry as to how it had been would not have gone amiss - and would have allowed us to feedback and discuss our reservations there and then. The thing is that these afternoon teas are not cheap at £32.50 per person (ours were bought as a gift) when you look at what you get for your money (see photo) - and I understand all the issues about on-costs etc., but we did feel cheated and quite sorry for the relative who had kindly bought the voucher for us in the first place. In our view, it simply does not represent good value for money at all when compared with other places which offer the same kind of menu at a much more reasonable price. However, not willing to offend our relative, when she asks how it was we will tell her that it was fine - when really it wasn't - and that's not good. Just hope she doesn't do the same next year ... Solution? Surely it is not beyond the wit of man / woman or whoever, at the hotel, to ask at the outset whether or not guests would prefer the standard afternoon tea, as described or, alternatively, one that was more biased towards savoury food. That's not an insurmountable task, or too big an ask is it? While fully acknowledging that this is a lovely hotel in an idyllic setting, there are things that could - and should - be done better. The fabric of the building is less than good (carpets looking tired and worn). Also, when visiting the disabled toilet there was no toilet roll at all and no hand towels either (nor is there a hand-drier). Not good. Finally, above all, I suspect that what most people are looking for generally is a good balance between quality and value for money. When you get neither, then that's a problem. Bottom line with all of these things is: would we go again? Well, unless we knew that the policy had changed (and improved) considerably, probably not. And that's a real shame.

Arrived late because of flight delay from Belfast, on arrival was made very welcome and supplied with sandwiches to the room, room lovely and warm and spacious. Will definitely be back for longer stay.

This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed. Staff friendly, nothing is too much for them. Being a solo traveler, felt safe. Would highly recommend.

super quick service- great tasting food!

In almost 30 years working in travel I can count on one hand the number of times I have described service in a hotel as perfect but this is definitely one. Afternoon tea served in a relaxing environment where nothing was beyond the staff and they worked exceptionally well together and were an utter credit to the hotel. The food was top notch and even when asking for something not on menu they were more than happy to assist. I'd made the reservation for a special birthday and they'd been very helpful in saying they could hold things and decorate the table too if I wished. On the day staff acknowledged my mum's birthday in a tasteful way without revealing her age and it made her feel so extra special. When we arrived the tables were smaller and this was an excellent environment for those who aren't able to hear as well, and for me as I struggle with loud environments due to neurodiversity, later on there was a large table of mixed ages - something I'd suggest the venue consider if there's a way to accommodate both which retaining that which keeps them special and marks them apart from others offering afternoon tea. Staff were more than happy for us to relocate to the bar though. Based on this I'd definitely book the hotel some time too.

Beautiful old house in a prime location. Interior ambience is spot on. Plenty of parking. 2x EV charging at 11kw 3 phase available next to reception - web based payment works ok but very costly at £1 per kWh! Breakfast options are good but service seemed very slow for cooked options. Rooms stylish, comfortable and clean.

The cream tea was very good and the surroundings great. Staff were pleasant and discreet. The only improvement I would suggest is that the tea could be be refreshed at some point as it was getting cold as the afternoon wore on. I'm sure they would have done this if asked.

This was my second visit in 3 months and this time was even better than the last. Really delicious food perfectly cooked. Beautiful duck breast with an amazing sauce. Lovely fish and chips. Sunday roast worth travelling for. The staff are all lovely. They are friendly and helpful, nothing gets missed or forgotten so one can relax and enjoy the food and not have to worry about getting something. They all do their utmost to deal with requests. A couple of minor things - the new menu has some veg sides but there is not enough variety. Just cabbage and cauliflower but both with sauces. No broccoli which was served perfectly cooked on Sunday. The red cabbage has gone.

Absolutely something for everyone - wife wanted pie and chips I fancied kebab - no problem at Dene Holm!! All meals are “ proper “ ie they’re not a chip shop trying to sell some cheap kebabs , all meals are either proper fish and chips or proper kebabs 10/10 every single time. We have to pay £3 delivery to greenhithe but it’s so worth it 👍👍👍

We stayed at the hotel so had the experience of breakfast and dinner, breakfast my partner had kippers and said they were best he tasted I opted for eggs benedict and again perfect, we ate dinner twice 1st being the large cod and chips again partner had that, and again exceptional. I just had chips and truffle mayo not to my liking unfortunatel far too much salt on chips, second meal partner and myself had cod fish cake and wow amazing can't not fault it, partner had halibut and again outstanding the chef is definitely a great fish chef, I opted for the ribeye and really could not eat it unfortunately too much salt was used again and I did I had I know chefs use salt but please calm down a bit, and let your guests choose how much we want on our plates serving staff were lovely and faultless, barman however does need to cheer up...

Could have done with being a bit hotter but otherwise ok

We had a lovely evening meal which was delicious and beautifully prepared - cannot fault it and the service from the staff was really friendly and excellent. However, although there were only a few people in the restaurant the choice of ambient music was how can I say: well awful. Absolutely the most random music I have ever heard in a hotel. And again at breakfast (when you could perhaps have some quiet jazz, chillout music or even classical) 1970s style, dire pop hits were still loudly blaring out of the speakers. Perhaps a little consideration to playlists and creating the 'right vibe' could be given - but when we stayed we found it really affected the ambience and mood of the restaurant which was completely out of keeping with the overall wonderful experience of this historic boutique hotel.

We had the private dinning room for my mother’s birthday. The service and food on the night were excellent. The events team did a brilliant job in helping us set this all up at relatively short notice. Thanks to all the Jesmond Dene House team.

The cod was the best I'd had in ages and food was hot

Went for afternoon tea with champagne over the festive season. The restaurant was busy and had a pleasant vibe. We were taken to a table for two around a corner which meant that as far as staff were concerned we were a bit invisible. We had a glass of very average champagne and were never asked if we wanted a fresh pot of tea the entire time. The sandwiches were a little dry and we only had one carton of clotted cream to share between the two of us. My friend wanted another cappuccino and had to get out of her seat to wave at the staff to get service. For the price of £45 each I felt that the experience didn’t live up to expectations unfortunately. We had used gift vouchers to pay so no one even acknowledged our departure when finished. We simply just left.

Afternoon tea. Extremely mediocre. Sandwich bread was dry, strong taste of margarine. Tiny portions. One pot of cream between two. So overpriced for what is offered. So many better places to visit. A huge disappointment

Lovely Boxing Day lunch. Bar and restaurant ambience were both very Christmassy and welcoming. Food was good, catering for a range of preferences, well cooked and presented - though a couple of items seemed over salted (despite us being salt fans). What made it more special were the servers and the barman who were warm, friendly and efficient. They made sure everything happened very smoothly and was no trouble. Special thanks to Megan, sorry I didn't manage to get any other names.

The food for our wedding, breakfast and dinner was beautiful. Our guests are still talking about how great the food was on our wedding day. We returned on our own to enjoy the festive menu. The staff were absolutely amazing and we look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I visit Jesmond dene every December for an overnight stay with drinks, and usually choose to order from the Bar Menu (burgers, fish& chips etc) but decided on the Fern Restaurant this year. We were fortunate to get a table without booking and were incredibly looked after throughout. We decided on the 35oz chateau de boeuf to share along with Cauliflower Mornay (which I could have happily ate by the bucketload). Whilst waiting for our main, we were given complimentary bread, olives & pigs in blankets which were all delicious. The main took much longer than anticipated due to the size of the actual piece of meat we were given. We absolutely polished off our main without any room for dessert! It was divine! And the service we received from the agent serving us was impeccable to say the least. I sent a message to lots of close friends & family that night recommending they visit! Loved it.

The ambience of the restaurant and lounges was a perfect Christmas treat. The staff service was exceptional ; friendly, fun and hugely attentive before and throughout dinner. A true Geordie Christmas welcome The Festive Menu of 3 courses with coffee and mince pies was imaginative, extremely good value for the exquisite dishes offered which were not confined to the normal turkey offerings elsewhere. The variety, choice and presentation of the dishes was outstanding and we were not only impressed but determined to return and definitely recommend without any hesitation the Fern !

Firstly, let it be known we enjoyed the meal we had here. We have eaten here many times before and will many times again! The staff were great. We ordered the Porterhouse Steak, medium rare. I would say it was over cooked and more a medium cook. It was an ok steak, nothing I would rave about and based on that would probably not order again or recommend. The peppercorn sauce was very runny with little ‘peppery’ flavour. The peppercorns that should have been ‘in’ the sauce laid at the bottom of the watery sauce. By far one of the worst peppercorn sauces I have ever had. We still enjoyed the meal, however room from the kitchen to make it better! Simple things!

Simply stunning. A beautiful big roaring fire in the lounge, tastefully decorated communal areas and bedrooms. Quality toiletries and linens made for a decadent stay. Comfortable beds and a huge bath. Thrilled to see 2 EV Charges by reception, £1 per kW, slightly pricey but very convenient for guests. Free onsite parking. Breakfast was lovely, continental &/or Full English about £22ph. WiFi is hit or miss and intermittent 4G/5G were the only negatives.

Booked the Christmas lunch menu on its first day and were told by one of the lovely staff that we were the first to try out the new menu. I had the turkey Christmas dinner and it was the best xmas dinner i have ever had. Melt in the mouth turkey, perfect mash,plentiful veg and large pigs in blankets. My wife enjoyed her nut roast with veg and we both had a gorgeously rich chocolate pave for dessert. 2 courses for £38 or 3 for £45 in a lovely dining room. Good choice of wines too.

Friendly delivery driver. Special notes taken notice of, thankfully. Great food quality, tasty and warm. Will order from here again.

Had Sunday lunch here . It was ok. The hotel is looking quite shabby and needs up dating. Noticed holes in the curtains in the bar, which you wouldn't expect from a 4star hotel. The staff where very helpful.

We visited for a wedding, the venue as ever was excellent. We have been here a few times for afternoon tea in the past and it's excellent. It's expensive but worth every penny.

We visited for a Sunday lunch with family. The food was absolutely delicious, no faults at all and certainly one of the best sunday roasts I've had for a long time- the pork belly was fantastic! However, the service was poor for the fine dining label and price. Overall staff were inefficiently slow, they had inappropriate responses to when things went wrong and simply lacked initiative and personality towards serving our table. Firstly, we had to ask if we could order our first round of drinks after being seated for over 20 minutes. When the drinks arrived my partner had ordered a blackcurrent and soda as he doesn't drink alcohol and was driving. He was handed a vermouth and lemonade my mother had ordered instead, despite being told that it was blackcurrant and soda. Secondly, my mother ordered a soup for starter and was given a cream cheese mushroom dish on sourdough (bearing in mind shes allergic to cheese) and whilst she raised this was incorrect, she received a persistent response of 'no that's what you ordered' quite a few times until she requested that they go back and check as it appeared the server did not know the menu or what was ordered. After doing so, only then was an apology issued. Consequently, my mother had to wait whilst the rest of us ate our starters which dampened our experience from the start. Thirdly, there was no initiative to look after our table such as clearing away empty glasses/bottles when serving fresh drinks- I was surrounded with glass bottles and glasses during my meal until I had to ask them to clear the table between courses... our side plates for bread weren't even cleared throughout the entirety of the meal and were still present during our desert. We came for a sunday lunch with three courses with a booking at 12:30 and left at 15:10 having to ask for updates on our food throughout. We felt this was incredibly slow and were on a tight schedule for plans later in the day- we had to ask for the bill as our dessert arrived. We had a young toddler with us who sat so well for that amount of time however there wasn't much consideration for timings throughout. Staff were pleasant and polite enough, however, there was no repertoire or personality to really make the service an experience at Jesmond Dene house. Things such as asking how our day was going, if we were here for a special occasion, if we had any allergies, any recommendations for drink/food etc there was none of that. I write this review in the hope that this restaurant improves because it is a gorgeous building with beautiful grounds and delicious food, however, staff training for the luxury experience and fine dining etiquette are severely lacking if that's the standard they are trying to sell.

Visited for an evening meal with my wife and despite high hopes, we were unfortunately left a little disappointed by the experience. The food was ok but not exceptional and it was the service and setting that we felt really let this place down. We had a reservation and were seated promptly however we then felt somewhat forgotten about, we were eventually given menus and ordered some sparkling water while we perused, another member of staff then came to take a food order at which point we had to ask to see a wine list which had not been provided. The house focaccia was served with butter which seemed an odd choice and the portion size of the selection of cheeses was truly pitiful. We were seated in the conservatory area of the Fern dining room and 3 of the hanging lights were in need of new lightbulbs- not generally one to pick and these are fairly minor details however for a restaurant that presents itself as ‘upmarket’ I would expect a little more and the food wasn’t good enough to compensate.

Outstanding service and lunch in a comfortable dining room. I enjoyed a gorgeous cheese snd dpinach souffle with a delicious pear and walnut salad. My hubby had freshly caught cod in a light batter and triple cooked chips. Lovely desserts

We stayed here for a wedding and the food was great and the breakfast was excellent

The fish and chips were lovely and fresh and hot,sadly the kebabs were not very hot this time.

Family wedding. Wonderful venue and excellent service. Not cheap, but you have to pay for quality. The staff were really friendly and not “stuffy” at all. The food was excellent, even for a big event and the breakfast choice is suitable for everyone’s tastes.

We were staying the night in this wonderful hotel (see separate review of the hotel). About the restaurant... well I know one should not complain about prices in a high-class Michelin star restaurant but yes it was, at least for our humble German purses, really...

Expensive and small portion sizes. Food was ok. Delivery driver polite and friendly but won't be ordering again due to expense.
