Delivery lies… nearly two hours wait when they told me the driver was 6 minutes away. Absolute joke.

Absolutely loved the food it was tasty and no complaints on that, thought the chicken portion was a bit small in comparison to the rice portion however the suya starter was AMAZING and made up for it. The staff was lovely, it was a bit cold in the restaurant but it can't be helped.

This place is absolutely incredible! I come here at least three times a month, and now my family loves it too. The food offers a wonderful mix of unique cultural flavors, which is such a refreshing change from the usual Chinese cuisine. As someone who loves traveling and experiencing different cultures, this spot is ideal for me. I recently had a romantic meal with my wife, and it was just perfect—followed by a great time with my children. The dishes are always perfectly seasoned, and I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed. As an Englishman who grew up by the beaches, I never expected to find such a delightful change of pace, but it’s quickly become a regular favorite. The staff are so friendly and polite, making every visit a pleasure. I had the mixed grill with curry mutton, mac and cheese, rice, and egusi—wow, just wow! Every bite was packed with incredible flavor!

The portions were a bit small, but it tasted a bit like home.

They take your money and don’t recive your order 3rd times it happend I put in a order of £55 and didn’t get nothing and no answer on the phone scam!

I'm from Bristol. I was staying nearby, so I searched Caribbean food near me, so jerk and jollof popped up and so went and bought brown stew chicken and jollof rice. Food was 10/10, service was quick, and food was served hot and fresh with a side of salad and a plantain. The portion and price were good, too. Chef also gave me a free portion of jerk chicken, so I definitely will be coming back there if I find myself in the area again.

Ordered a curry goat & peppered steak was 10/10. Very nice, the portion size was great even the kids meal. Highly recommend & will be ordering again. Also was delivered hot :)

Went there today to bey food and it was cold and not good at all. The jerk chicken was overnight rice was overnight they took 10 minutes to get me my food people if you can do batter stay away from this place sick,

They forget items a lot from order and seem to not care if you dont have something take it off the app so no one can order it duhh.

I used to love this place, but the orders are getting worse and worse so I feel I’ve got to share/let them know. I received my meal with a missing item - which is supposed to come with plantain, no plantain was included. I also ordered a drink which was also not sent. Disappointed.

Ordered take out for the first time from Jerk & Jollof the other day and it was outstanding. The peppered steak was perfect, as was the Jollof. The jerk chicken and rice and peas were excellent too.

Cancelled our order on Deliveroo after waiting an hour for it to be prepared. Then when I went there they said it was handed out to a driver. But upon further investigation that turned out to be a lie. A shame as we would have been regulars.

Ordered from here on Uber Eats. Portion sizes were ridiculously tiny. I don't think I've ever ordered from somewhere before where the amount of food given is so small. Considering I paid £22 overall, this is disappointing.

Visited once good music in the restaurant and friendly staff. Amazing food everything cooked perfectly. Jerk chicken, chips, curry goat, mac cheese and oxtail all of it was mind blowing. Ordered the food for the 4th time last night and can't get enough of it😍

I usually get food delivered from Jerk and Jellof but decided to visit in person, as I was in the area. It was lovely to walk in, grab my food and leave but if I decided to sit in and enjoy meal, it would have been a good experience. The atmosphere was relaxing and you get that feeling of being in a nice Carribbean restaurant which got me considering visiting in the summer months. I met only one staff member who was very efficient; No time wasting, no trying to chat up a storm, and had a smile for the customer which is always appreciated.

I visited this restaurant to grab a takeaway for the first time. I ordered brown stew chicken and jollof from the menu they had available (many of the other carribean dishes were not available on the evening I visited) The portion was small but the food was really tasty. I'd buy from here again.

Absolutely beautiful! A little pricey.. £6.50 for one jerk leg but I have to say it was bloody delicious. We got Curry Goat with Jollof rice and it was a 10/10. One of my new favourites 👌🏼

The food was amazing! Service was good - friendly and helpful. Only cons were it was a bit of a wait for the food and it was empty when we went but we had a very early dinner so that's probably why.

Good food, you can tell the yard food is good by a old school back ah yard cook, you can taste the fresh coconut in the rice and peas. The jerk chicken is tender and not dry. The Suya leaves you wanting more. If I had to recommend anything’ which is hard to do because everything is good’… the mixed grill.

I visited here for the 1st time in April 22 and had a superb & faultless meal. Visited again on 07.93.23 and was so happy to see that nothing has changed and we had another cracking meal for two. Starters of Ackee & Saltfish with bbq jerk wings (moist, well spiced & not over cooked) Mains: 2x Jerk chicken, with rice & peas, plus sides of plantain & mac cheese Drink: Nigerian Star lager. The Jerk chicken was some of the best my friend (more experienced in this food than me) has had, the plantain texture was perfect and the Mac Cheese was scrummy. I can guess that this restaurants food is better if had within the restaurant (freshly cooked & hot) rather than getting cool after a delivery. A faultless meal again & recommended

Upon family recommendation I decided to give J n j a try was not disappointed. Had the Jollof and Jerk chicken, Currygoat rice and peas.Very nice.

The food was delicious, well prepared with good presentation and the right balance of flavours. The portion size was perfect, so you leave feeling full but not uncomfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm. The drinks were amazing, I had the rum punch I would recommend this restaurant for any celebration. Customer service was amazing. Going to this Jerk and Jollof made our day a special one

Best African/Caribbean food I’ve had in south london

For £15 bbq jerk chicken from deliveroo this isn't worth it and an absolute rip off. The portion size is tiny which wouldn't be that bad if the food was good but even that isn't. The rice and peas was ok but the chicken was charred, dry and tough. Whoever's incharge of the grill department needs to be fired immediately. For this price you get two small pieces of dry chicken with passable rice. Not worth the money in fact cheaper to buy the chicken and do everything yourself which defeats the whole purpose of a takeaway so in short don't order here.

I ordered 4 meals for my family . Absolutely beautiful . The Jollof is out of this world . Everything was fresh and hot . We ordered the jerk and Jollof meal Egusi with beef /pounded yam ( still thinking about this 😍) Bbq mixed grill Oxtail and Jollof rice Everything was on point . Huge portion sizes. I have ordered many times before and service is so much quicker . Food came with in 40 mins . Thank you as always

I cannot praise the food highly enough. Very tasty and good portions. But it always takes over an HR to be delivered. Such a shame. For example today's order was supposed to take 30-40 mins.... Over an hour and still no food. This happens nearly every time. So I think today will be my last order. Would be better off going into Croydon or somewhere else. It's a shame as the food is very good. But they are not cheap and the service is so so poor.

Went there a bit skeptical and was very disappointed. The service was ok and the food very sub par compared to other places. Instantly regretted not going to Delly’s in Heath as soon as I saw the sauce. The sauce was not nice, though the chicken was seasoned OK. The plantain was very dry and not flavorless. Will not be going again but again as I have found another place that delivers called Dutchie which is now my local preference and very tasty, but wish any small home grown business well. Anyone about to order: try it as you may be more inclined and like it. For me, just wanted to leave an honest review.

Ordered yesterday, spoke to them on the phone to confirm, but food never arrived. Never heard back and they didn’t answer the phone. Great food though, when it has arrived in the past! Both curry goat and red stew are excellent. I’ve had a 50% hit rate so far in terms of arriving. 2 out of 4. I’m really hoping the next one arrives!

Yesterday I tried naturally keto friendly pepper soup at the fusion restaurant Jerk n Jollof. It was amazing. It had me coughing and my nose running intermittently which I loved. These are signs that it's the right level of spiciness :) It was so spicy that I felt light headed afterwards :) and it reminded me of Ben Okri's descriptions of it in The Famished Road as a meal that gives sustenance :) I own a sous vide, which allows me to cook meat to perfection. The meat in the soup was already cooked to perfection. The jerk lamb chops were spectacular too. I'm going to have to go back and try much more on the menu :)

Placed an order via ubereats. Initially it said the order would be ready in 30mins then changed to 56mins. Fine. I then drove 20 mins to collect my order, only to be told by the restaurant when I went to collect that they've run out of pounded yam and rice!! That was half our order and what are we supposed to eat the curry with?! Iasked for a refund but was told to cancel the order via ubereats, which in itself isn't straight forward (you have to call them). I get it that restaurants can run out of food, but what I don't understand is why the people at jerk and jollof are watching orders come in, accepting them, waiting for people to come and collect them and then telling them they've run out of main items? They should be contacting customers before! Really poor management.

Orders jerk lamb that was tough and chewy rice didn’t taste fresh and the plantain was raw!! Also didn’t get everything I asked for. Won’t be eating from there again

Excellent. Fresh, hot, tasty authentic food. Highly recommend the pepper steak. My sister enjoyed the curry goat. Good size portions & value for money. We will definitely be coming here again to try the West African dishes.

Small portions of food for the price you pay. Jerk chicken was tough but was flavoursome. There are alot better places around with a lot more value for money but food tasted nice. Also if they don't have items rather than call you and tell you, so you can pick an alternative they just don't deliver it and remove it off the bill which is pretty annoying

I would give them a 5/5 but their portion sizes are not good at all. Their curry goat is the best and I don’t think I have ever tasted curry goat as good as it is here but they really do need to sort it out in regards to the amount of bones that come with their portion sizes. If you are going to be tight on your goat meet, please make an exception when it comes to your portion sizes as the price you charge is just not good at all. Having bones and fat when I order a curry goat is not great and I would order from you every week if I knew I wouldn’t be getting bones and fat with my meal. Yes I know, curry goat comes with bones(I’m not stupid) but if this is going to be the case, you need to look at what your changing. I don’t like paying £12.50 for curry goat and receiving such a small portion and most of it being bones and fat.

Slow service, but fantastic Nigerian/Jamaican food.

Food was very tasty and pleasant staff.

Asked for medium rare steak knowing it would be over cooked. What actually arrived was a plate over completely burnt rubber food.

They have solved the eternal question of whether to have jerk with or without sauce by providing the sauce in a separate container. When people ask where the revolution started, let them know that it was here. All praise to Gil Scott Heron. They serve probably the best apple crumble outside of the original pre-gentrified Brixton. I wonder if they purposefully made their jerk chicken milder to balance out their menu. Refill in Brixton sells the spiciest jerk in London and the queues are always long. They fill every millimetre of their apple crumble container with custard for only £3; so JNJ could at least do the same.

The takeaway was delivered by Ubereats. The chicken was charged and black, it was not possible to eat. For the 12.50 price, there was only a tiny boarned drumstick and hard and charred side breast. One can buy a whole chicken for less money. Very disappointed.

I called in advance to place an order to pick up. We agreed a yime fir me to pick up my order. When i got there, the lights were on but the door locked. I called 13 times and the phone either went to voicemail or was engaged. It was 9pm and the restaurant was supposed to be opened. I can honestly say this was the worse restaurant experience ever. I have order many times from you "jellof rice, suya and plantain" the food itself it's very good 8/10 Every time a order something you always run out of suya meat and the excuses are always the same. This issue keeps happening and it's just disappointing.

The food was top notch, although the jerk was not as spicy as I would have wanted it to be. The food came out on time which was a surprise given the reviews by other people. I have found a new favourite fusion of Nigerian and Jamaican food joint. Kudos to the Chef

I’ve eaten from here on several occasions and the food is delicious & tasty however the individual preparing Jerk chicken thinks it’s acceptable to give customers burnt chicken. Now I can cook myself and have grilled chicken on a barbecue 100’s of times and so I know what’s burnt and I’ve been given burnt chicken from this establishment in the past. I just hope it doesn’t happen again otherwise I’ll have to avoid ordering grilled meat from them. On a positive note, everything else I’ve tried there is outstanding. The service is always pleasant & friendly and the premises invariably is clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone

I cant really review the food because my order has not been delivered. What is really upsetting is that the person I spoke to tells me that it is not their responsibility and I need to speak to the driver who incidentally the Just Eat app has lost all contact with. I will not be ordering anything from here again because the service is appalling and all I want from them is my refund.

Daughter wanted Jerk N jollof for her birthday. Phoned in & ordered 5 beef meals. Only had beef for 3 meals (no big deal). Ordered 3 beef & 2 fish meals. Initially told to collect in 25 mins, actually not ready for 45 mins, otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Food was delicious.

Love this place for a Carribbean flavour in my life. Always order the jerk mixed grill and Goat curry and they are delicious. Mmmmmmmm...... Will try other things eventually but I'm a meat and rice man and this fits the bill every time. Just need a Carribbean girl in my life and then I'm sorted.

I saw good reviews here hoping I would experience the same but my food was not nice at ALL yesterday night...the curry goat was not the proper Caribbean curry were the goat meat is soft and melts in your mouth and the sauce in a tasty & thick sauce - we just got seasoned goat pieces that were chewy and dry!!! . Then the jellof rice was not seasoned like it should be it was just rice with bits of tomato puree that was semi soggy so not steamed well.... I was sooo disappointed I had to throw half of it away after spending almost £40... I wouldnt recommend unfortunately :( maybe the take away service is different to eating in but my stomach is still paying the price....

Been there a few times now. One of the best Carribbean spots I've been to. All their dishes are delicious whether it's their oxtail, curry goat or jerk chicken along with their Jollof rice and plantain.

What a little gem this place is. I went their with my family on 31st August for the last day of eat out to help out. The food was amazing and our plates were clean. Fresh, tasty and the BEST Mac N Cheese I have ever eaten in my life (and its my favourite dish so i eat it weekly). Customer for life now, and with the great customer service, I defiantly be returning for a family treat and takeaway.

I ordered two portions of jollof rice and I was given the burned pot bottom. As soon as I opened the container the whiff of burned rice just escaped, I couldn't eat it, it smelled so bad. I contacted the establishment and they were very polite, but they just apologised. The two containers of rice cost me £17, I think a fair arrangement should've been made. On this basis alone I will not be ordering again.
