Jenny's Restruant in Dacorum

Admittedly this wasn’t our first choice but finding a long queue and no tables in M&S we thought we should support this place as it only opened recently. What a mistake that was. The staff were pleasant and friendly although neither waitress was capable of serving up a cup of tea without spilling it. And at £2.60 for a small cup with a big standard Earl Grey teabag, every little drop counts! The standard tea was delivered with the milk already in the cup and the teabag floating around in it and was therefore terribly weak. And the food was a ridiculous price for the quality. One of us had a sausage sandwich which was decent value but it ended there. A soggy, tasteless jacket potato was serviced in a bowl that made it hard to eat and was topped with tiny rubbery prawns in the most tasteless mayonnaise I’ve ever encountered. For the princely sum of £9.90! A small amount of undressed salad and coleslaw in the same insipid mayonnaise did nothing to lift it and the whole experience was one of tasteless slop. I paid a similar price at the weekend for an absolutely top notch full English down at Apsley marina - just no comparison. And M&S do a much better priced baked potato with tasty coleslaw and a pot of tea. An equally tasteless Bakewell tart and coffee round off the meal and the bill came just short of £30!! Nothing would induce me to return. There are far better cafés within minutes of this place.

Used to stay in Hemel many years ago and Jennys used to be a favourite go-to place for good food. So on my way back from Heathrow, I stopped over for lunch. The place retains its no-frills charm and still serves good food in an efficient way. Still not accepting cards but that’s not a problem as the cash machine is right across from the restaurant.

Now modernised Jenny's has got very very very expensive our bill used to be around £22 on Sunday 12/5/2024 wife and myself went in there for lunch and our bill for the same order was well over £30 sorry guys but Jenny's is just not worth that sort of money

Despite adverting they are allegedly aware the reality is that they are clueless. On asking about allergy advice the staff member was very unhelpful and bluntly said they didn’t know. They reluctantly went and asked the kitchen but that didn’t improve the lack of knowledge. Didn’t order food. Paid for the drinks that had already been served and left. Done nothing to give any confidence in their ability to cater for a basic allergy need.

A really friendly and clean establishment that's value for money. Excellent coffee. The staff are just lovely. A place to warm the heart ❤️ and the tummy. 10/10

How can u charge £8.70 for 4 pouched eggs on 2 toast and then try short change me for £10 this is run by some guy who is deluded yester

Happened to be in town and fancied an early lunch. Traditional breakfast was beckoning at Jenny's cafe. Found a table, was served straight away, tea brought over and I reckon I only waited for 5 mins before the food arrived. Hot and tasty, best chips I have had for a long time Very nice server, friendly staff and good value for money!

Visited here in September as a family of 6. Was greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff, was shown to any table of our choice and then offered menu and drinks, the staff here are just amazing and the food was really nice, we couldn't believe just how fresh all the salads were, the biggest surprise however was the bill, we couldn't believe that somewhere could offer such great service and food at such an affordable price. Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the amazing staff and for the extra salad.

Can’t beat a Jenny’s for a hangover cure Always have the Jenny’s special and the Jenny’s traditional breakfast. Staff are always cheerful and polite. Lovely clean restaurant.

We stopped at Jenny's for breakfast one day. They serve a great breakfast at very reasonable price. It was not busy so we enjoyed a quiet breakfast and received a lot of attention from the staff. We discovered Jenny's at the end of our trip otherwise we would have had breakfast there many more times. We will definitely go there again on our next visit to the UK

Fast, friendly service of well cooked, basic meals. Good value. Plenty of choice. Burgers are particularly delicious and can't be compared with the usual fast food alternatives.

My family and I are very fond of this amazing cafe. The food is outstanding and the smoothies and burgers are the best!! It beats Starbucks and Cafe Nero any day. If you are in Hemel pop over and give it a try. You will not be disappointed!! Staff are lovely and they remember you. For the little ones, even get a lolly when you leave!

It was the first time we had visited this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Our choice of meal was very good with good portions. It was hot and the service was very quick in lovely surroundings.

Ive always been fond of 'Jennys'. Restaurant clean, usually good food, however prawn salad was awful, prawns were off. worrying for seafood.. Very crowded, busy little restaurant, but I do hate when I am served by oversized females with their breasts hanging out, in my face. Also when they bend and their backsides are in our faces. Staff need training and told to dress appropriately as it is off putting.

Went into town early 9.30 am and decided to have breakfast at Jenny's who we have visited many times before over the years. As usual we were seated quickly, by the polite waitresses. We had the full english type breakfast with coffee and orange juice, it was piping hot, freshly cooked, decent size portions, friendly courteous staff. It is always a pleasure to eat here. My only complaint is that in this modern world, they only take cash, no card payments?

Great value cafe, selling full English brekkies, burgers, toasties, jacket potato's etc, not fine dining but quick service and big portions and they do take away stuff too.

El desayuno era excelente, con buen servicio y tamaños muy buena parte. La comida está muy bien preparada, sólo tengo un desayuno caliente si estoy invitado a unirse a amigos, ya que usualmente ellos demasiado grasiento, pero yo he estado aquí dos veces y en ambas ocasiones la comida ha sido genial.

Excellent value for money. It's not fine dining but good, honest food. How can anyone complain for such huge portions, served quickly at such cheap prices? And the waitresses are lovely despite never getting a minister's rest.

Staff are friendly, food is generous and tasty and fresh!!! Only place to go if you are in need of a good cup of tea and a full brekkie!!

No podemos hablar bien de la comida o el servicio en este café de vereda Street. Comida de buena calidad, servido caliente camarera perfecta. Ojalá hubiera tomado fotos de bellamente preparada ensalada con patatas de la chaqueta y pollo a la parrilla. Lo haré la próxima vez que visitemos.

Un gran viaje de compras de familia tiene una parada para el almuerzo en Jenny. Nos sentamos rápido y las bebidas estaban ordenados y llevado sin demora. Las comidas son siempre un buen tamaño y caliente. El personal está siempre ocupado pero nunca se presenta el estrés y disfrutar de un poco de gastar bromas. "Un buen café en inglés"

El servicio de atención al cliente de pobre era un montón miserable de personas! La comida era rápido, pero horrible, desayuno, salchichas barato era el más barato de los más baratos, frijoles eran frías n barato, bacon estaba bien. Cantidad de la comida era de un tamaño de unos niños comida. Continuará la próxima vez usar la cafetería Marlowe, muy bueno y nunca me ha decepcionado.

Great atmosphere good quality food at reasonable prices with lots of choices. Open from early until around 7 pm serving hot/cold food all day long. Great for children with their own menu, families and disabled all catered for. Toilets on site

We went here for breakfast - service was quick and friendly, food came hot and good sized portions. Only issue was not enough choice for healthy eaters - most things quite calorific.

Great place to have a great breakfast. Access is not easy at present due to work on the town centre, but this has not detracted from the good food

I've been here many times and have always been pleased with the quality and size of the dishes, the fry ups aren't greasy and they will happily swap any items for alternatives, clean and tidy and friendly staff, one downside is they only accept cash, maybe this will encourage you to leave a tip but if (like me) you had to leave the restaurant and go to the cash point to pay for my food then I won't leave a tip, it is nearly 2015 so no excuses really, but I will keep coming here as the prices are reasonable too.

I have been to Jenny's Restaurant on many occasions and the food is ok but yesterday I went there for lunch with a friend and as I sat down the chair totally broke, the seat went through and the arm and back of the chair broke. My friend help me up and as she did this one of the staff took the chair away very quickly without seeing if I was ok, in fact no one came over to see if I was ok or injured . Eventually the waitress came over and I told her I wasn't happy with the fact that the manager had not come over to see how I was, my friend ordered me some water and the waitress brought two bottles over and asked if we wanted to order food, we said no as I was very shaken up and upset over what had happened and had also jarred my back. This is not good practice and obviously they never clean or check the chairs otherwise someone would have noticed what a bad state that chair was in, a lot of elderly people go to Jenny's and it was just lucky it wasn't one of them who had sat on that chair.
