Crosshands store. Better than Gregg's but the pasties I had were stone cold despite being in the display and I suspect the glass in the display counter is rather magnifying, making things look bigger.

Asked for a cheese and tomato pizza. Received a hard bread roll with tomato puree and no cheese. Customer service quick to reply but not to my satisfaction, they required details of when, where, where the pizza was taken from etc. Standard of this bakery has deteriorated over the last few years. Due to this and unsatisfactory customer care, I shall just visit Greggs in future and refrain from Jenkins.

Today 22nd June we visited the bakery in The Avenue, llwynhendy, llanelli. As I was giving my order I was taken ill at the counter. Within seconds I was offered water and helped to the seating area. Staff are always welcoming here. I would like to especially thank the staff member who took control of the situation, she didn't panic, she put my husband and I at ease. In fact she was brilliant. Thank you, you went above and beyond what we could have expected. The food was fresh, well displayed and shop very clean.

Not for me! The coffee,, far too hot. Toast so thick, I've bought thinner loaves. And a cafe/ bakery full of the older generation having to listen to teenagers music on Capital radio. A basic pasty and cake place that's better than Greggs. Its difficult to know what's on offer in a meal deal and eating in is a significant mark up on takeout's. I would have liked a sweet and savoury pastries but didn't notice the sweet. The standard was average nothing stood out its next to the bus stops so is handy. Its much better than Greggs.

Not one to complain, I visit the Trostre branch several times a week. I mentioned to the store Manager today that on my last visit, one of the loaves of bread was un edible due to a large air pocket inside. Basically a large hole. I was made to feel like a liar, and then noticed with this weekends purchase, one was rejected for this same reason when sliced. The Customer service is appalling! I was asked why I hadn't taken the loaf back on the day of purchase and explained that it hadn't been needed on that day, I strongly recommend that the said person is given further training on what is acceptable customer service.

The new outlet at Cross Hands business park (postcode SA14 6SY : telephone 01269 841248) is in its own building in the centre of the car park. It is an excellent idea and the queues at the takeaway counter are always lengthy. The café part is well thought out and pleasant on the eye. However, the noise from the so-called music is deafening and when asked to lower it the reply was not helpful, to put it mildly. The food is superb; the manners are not.

It's always good to support local companies, so we were only too happy to meet a friend here for coffee. The food looks lovely but on this occasion we only had coffee. We will be back to try the food! There seem to be Jenkins bakeries with coffee shops on every corner in Llanelli. The coffee was good and the staff were quite friendly. They actually bring your order to you, so you don't have to stand and wait. We visited mid morning on a Tuesday and it was quite busy, so I would think lunchtimes it would be difficult to get a table, as it seems very popular. They do takeaway too, so that is always an option. We liked it, as it makes a change from chain store coffee.

We visited Jenkins bakery on the main High Street in Llanelli on 15/09/2016. The service was absolutely appalling. There were 3 members of staff behind the counter all making them selves look busy although there was only one other customer being served. I stood at the till area for what seemed like ages - at no point did anyone acknowledge me to let me know they knew I was waiting. The young lady finished and served the other customers coffee and came back to serve me. If she hadn't then we would have walked out at that point. There was a sign saying about a special offer for hot drink and a teacake. The girl tried to enter this in the till and the price was wrong. When she asked another lady she abruptly informed her that that is the wrong sign and it should be up in the afternoon and she couldn't over ride it. There was no time stated anywhere on this offer board. When my Cappuccino arrived it was approx. 60% froth. When I took it to the counter and asked for it to be topped up, the same abrupt lady very rudely said to "Well you ordered a Cappuccino didn't you? What do you expect?". I was mortified!!!I can't abide poor customer service. It really is something that makes or breaks a review for me. I hate paying for bad customer service. With service like this it is no wonder that places go out of business. My local Jenkins (Gorseinon) has wonderful, friendly staff and is always a pleasure to go into - service with a smile and a warm welcome. My husband had reminded me in the past that we had been treated badly in that Llanelli store when we were served warm custard slices. They could definitely do with some customer service training!!!

We are regular visitors to The Jenkins Bakery coffee shop in Llanelli as we adore their toast. We think that it is simply the best toast you will find in Llanelli. We love the thick, thick bread that they use, and the fact that there is plenty of real butter on it (not recommended for people with high cholesterol!). The only negative side is that it's sometimes difficult to find a table as it's so popular. however, on our most recent visit we nabbed a snug table for two right at the back. Ordering is done at the counter, but they were very quick to make the toast and the tea only took a few seconds to arrive at our table. We also find their pasties excellent. My favourite is the corned beef pasty, but my other half prefers the chicken. We usually end up taking some of their beuatiful cakes and bread home with us too. Recommend except for anyone on a diet!

This place has the nerve to sell something they call a "traditional pasty". Let me tell you, if they took one of these into Cornwall, and tried selling it, they'd be lynched. Dry shortcrust pastry, top crimped with a filling of mashed spud peas and gravy. Horrible horrible horrible.I also made the mistake of trying their "Cheese pasty", or to be more precise; “cheese substitute flavoured mashed reconstructed potato substance in greasy pastry, cooked, frozen, reheated and microwaved into extinction type product”.Really, these people make savoury dishes as if they had never seen a real pasty and had only been described one in Cornish, which had been translated in to Welsh, then written into English by a dyslexic.
