JD's Fish Bar in Telford and Wrekin

My husband got charged £3.00 for 4 small tubs of curry which they were only half way full.

Pretty dec chippy, just never open, the opening times on google are wrong

Disappointed and would not recommend considering the choice there is in Telford. Best bits are the large cod and the lady who works there is polite. Negatives are the awful thin chips, never had thin chips at a chippy before, almost like soggy fries bizarre. The mushy peas were sickening, they were completely watered down and tasted off, had to leave them, would have been sick consuming whatever they gave me. Curry sauce was OK but was luke warm. Finally the man that works there, takes the award for potentially most miserable member of staff ever encountered in retail, he gives the impression his customers are meaningless to him - just choose another chippy who actually do proper chips, peas and the staff respect you and appreciate you spending money there.

They need to learn how to defrost a bun. Three times in a row I’ve got home and the burger bun is tough in places. I get they want to save money but they must stop defrosting with a microwave.otherwise the food is very nice and affordable.

Had some last night the chips were overcooked and the batter was. It's usually better then that I was very disappointed. Think I'll just go to the victorian fryer next time. The chips were dry and the batter was dry with no crispiness. Update I went the other night and they were really greasey. An the chicken was dry as a bone.

Omg the worst fish ever had. Took 2 fish back was cold. The next lot was no hotter and batter well if u can call it that. Was like rubber and when I opened it the fish stunk. Chips were hard. Waste of money in the bin it went. Never again 🤮

Been in for food , brilliant staff great fresh food . Was worried about some reviews but ignore them think it may be incorrect information

Just had a mini fish( batter soft and soggy and just warm).The chips ok large mushy peas cold.The lot has gone in the bin,a waste of £4.80. Won't be going again.

The only reason this has one star is that it won't allow no stars. Chips were hard and tasted as if they'd been kept warm all day. Fish was greasy and utterly tasteless. I didn't know it was possible to ruin roe but JD's managed it - it was overcooked and dry. The batter has so hard I couldn't cut into it. I just hope I don't have any ill effects from what I have managed to eat. Avoid at all costs!

Chips old and brown and hard went in the bin the fish had no taste what did they do to it . oily made me want to be sick hope it gets shutt down quick

Chips are very often under cooked. Staff are friendly, slow service at times. Needs improvements.

I am 50 years old, and I have never had chips as bad as these. Undercooked in old oil. Utter rubbish. Will never go back again, ever. The chips in the local Chinese takeaways are better. I'll let you make your own mind up about that.
