We order from JB's from time to time and we are always happy with the food. They have several vegetarian and vegan options. We love the tofu "fish" and the vegan burgers. Excellent chips too.

Ordered online and got one of their family meal. Was really nice only waited few minutes in the shop as they finished up the order. Kids and everyone really enjoyed it all.

The only chippy we go to!! A wide selection of yummy food. Always delicious, hot and delivered on time. Customer service is great, friendly staff 🙂

Sadly, possibly the worst F&C I've ever had; soggy, very wonky chips with brown ends. The fish was ok, but's as far as it goes. Loved the quality cardboard boxes, so 10/10 for recycling and conservation. My pet hornets were thrilled with the chips and the cardboard!

Batter was dark brown fish over cooked and dry - never had fish and chips as bad as this anywhere. It was that bad we put it out for the foxes to attempt to eat

this was the worst battered sausage & chips & curry sauce i have ever had chips tasted like been cooked in old oil. battered sausage was full of oil and even the batter was falling off and the curry sauce wasn't even warm. take it from me give it a miss must be the worst chippy in the area.

The food from here was absolutely revolting, if your in the area and looking to get fish and chips please do not go here. The food was over cooked the chips were all dry and brown the fish had to of been the worst tasting fish I have ever eaten. And the curry sauce smelt and tasted like it had been sitting there for days and just been heated. To make things worse the manager was very rude and acted as if he didn’t care about anything to do with the food and was just there to earn his money without thinking about what the customer is given to eat. I recommend you go to wonderfrys which is another fish and chip shop within a 5 minute. I went there after I had thrown away the food I got from here and the food was amazing and there were no problems.

Fast efficient service - a great menu of other fish options from the norm. The fish (Plaice & Haddock) was fresh & tasty with excellent chips.

We came for a takeaway based on Google reviews . Service was really friendly and food cooked from fresh. However, have to say slightly disappointed with the food itself - fish overcooked and dry , chips so so heavy on the salt. Maybe we caught them on an off day as menu looked nice overall

The food was really nice, super hot and generously portioned. The vegan options are great and the meaty burger and fish were apparently very good. The reason there are 4 stars rather than 5 is because the wait for the food was SO long. I ordered in advance to collect and it was still 30 mins after the collection window until it was ready. It was clear there weren’t enough staff working and the just eat etc. orders were piling up. This was a shame as if it weren’t for this it’d be a 100% recommend.

Seriously over priced, ordered on Uber eats waited over an hour for delivery. Some of our order was missing. Not impressed at all phoned to be told it would be another 20 minutes wait

Great local business. Varied menu with options for every taste. Excellent vegan choices separately cooked and packed, good vegetarian options too! Food piping hot, fresh cooked and excellent quality. The packaging used was a revelation too as it was bio degradable. Premises very clean and very Covid aware. There is an excellent delivery service and the website offers options to collect so the food is precooked and ready at a specified time. Lovely atmosphere too. Give them a try you will not be disappointed. I will certainly be a return customer

We ordered click and collect for the first time as had seen what a great selection of vegan options they had on their menu and were really excited to collect our food. We drove for 20 mins to arrive for the time slot we had selected, however when my partner went in to collect it, the person serving did not have any record of the order, even though he showed them the confirmation etc. Without a proper apology or explanation, he had to stand and wait for 20 minutes for the food to be cooked and then once it was handed over, still didn't receive a decent apology. When we finally got to eat the food, we realised there were some items missing (some sauces we had paid extra for), but were reluctant to go back by this point. The food was pretty good quality wise and appreciate the vegan options available, however not sure if we will return as the service was really off putting. It's a shame because a proper apology could have really remedied this mistake.

Have only used this business once being I have been self isolated and have not used their delivery service but J Bs menu is not just fish & chips it is a menu out of this world with several special items.

We spent a couple of hours paddle boarding in Poole and decided at the last minute that we fancied fish and chips for dinner. We ordered from J B’s as it was the only place open that was in our way home. What a find! We live in Ferndown but we’ll definitely travel here to get our fish and chip tea in the future. We use this chippy alot and it is the best chip shop locally by a long way. The food is second to none and they also have a great choice of desert's.They also have an app to allow you to pre order reducing waiting time.Jb's is a must try.

Great service from the staff and explained all the offers available. I went for some fish and they told me they make a Guinness beer batter. The portions are really good and a very light batter so the ratio of fish to batter is great. It was very crispy and the chips were great to. Definitely be back!

Ordered through just eat for scheduled delivery, requested for delivery between 7:30-8 and was delivered hot at 7:40. Ordered onion rings, kids meals x2, a massive battered sausage, medium cod and large chips. The portion sizes were massive! Not greasy at all and all the family loved the food. Really pleased to have tried them and will order from them again without a doubt. Highly recommended.

Hi Wrote to these guys directly telling them I was not happy but receive no reply. I had a voucher for Viking Burgers which they run out of fish and chip shop . This was the second time i use a groupon voucher paying the same price but on second visit the burger was only a quarter pounder as the fist one was a half pounder so not sure why that is because ordering a quarter pounder with no voucher and with chips is likely the same price without groupon voucher . The chips where freezing and cannot understand why you bag the chips up straightaway when you wait 20 mins for burger to be cooked the heat light is not going to keep chips that hot. The burger was also freezing and i only live 5 mins from the shop to be honest most of it ended up in the bin. I am surprise they did reply directly when i email tem hence the reason i am now putting this on trip advisor not very good customer service in my mind.

20 minutes for 4 portions of chips and two sausages. Curry sauce was taken out of the fridge and microwaved. Had to take it back to be reheated. Perhaps less time chatting out the back and a little more time spent on customer service would improve service. Chips were ok but nothing special considering how long it took to get them. I'd head to the takeaways next door and get chips from there!

Ordered just a piece of large cod, this is the first time I have been here since the takeover, the batter was greasy dark and burnt and the fish overcooked horrible and, definitely not a large cod, this used to be good place with quality cooked fish, now it has amateur chefs that cover everything with grease, go to Wonderholme, Anchor Road or Alder Road for proper food not these cowboys

Really looking forward to cod and chips based on previous positive takeaways. What has happened? Has the shop changed hands? The food looked disgusting and tasted as bad as it looked. The fish was wrapped in a puddle of oil, the batter looked burnt almost as if it had been recooked from lunchtime and the cod itself was inedible even the cat wouldn't eat it! The chips were greasy but then you can hardly mess up chips can you! What a waste of £15, so disappointed and will definitely not recommend or return.

Have just bought 2 portions of Fish and Chips at a cost of £14.00 , Fish was undercooked , batter was about 1/2” thick so very soggy , chips had obviously been left from lunchtime and reheated , the whole lot now in the bin.....NEVER WILL I SET FOOT IN THIS SHOP AGAIN

Ordered through delieveroo. An hour and thirty five minutes later received food when initial time said ten mins. Then had to live chat with Deliveroo and ring restaurant. Restaurant said they’d had issues with the timings and my food would take ten mins. 25 mins later food arrived. Delivery guy was very polite and explained they’re transitioning and want to be the best. Understand teething problems can happen. Opened up my food. Cold had to microwave. Gravy is inedible due to being like jelly.

Had food here for the 1st time since it reopened after the fire & im glad to say that the food is just as great since it was taken over.

This used to be Long Johns and quality was diminishing. JB's arrived and what a difference - great fish and chips, great service and generous portions. It then closed after a fire but has re-opened. Even better than before - without question the best fish and chips in this area and maybe even further afield. Try them - you won't be disappointed.

Excellent cod and the large portion is enormous and too big for a plate so it is lucky they provide you with a large box! Service is always fast so don't be put off by the long queues.
