Jasmins Yelverton No MORE went there at 815 ish just 3 of us we had are starters at around 9 because they had a big table in which is fine as it is a Chinese restaurant but are food was horrible bare in mind it's are 8th time going there and food was great we were still charged 90 pound for something worth probably 20 pounds worth of Chinese all are food was really bland they could just cope with the big table and rushed all are food out but because we were asking were it was would u say that's excitable

Cheeky Friday night takeaway. Left choices for partner, came out with Mongolian Lamb ( not on take away menu!), chow mein, and HUGE chicken 'balls' for sweet & sour - all really, really good.

Decided to spend my 60th birthday with family at Jasmines (all you can eat) on June 21st 2024. A great experienced was had by all. Food was hot and tasty and certainly good value for money. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly. No complaints and would recommend the trip to others. Plenty of parking available.

The food was not great sending out stuff that was not ordered. One of us ordered lamb, and there was no way it was lamb everybody thought it was goat meat. It was very over priced for the amount of food. Portions on all you can eat were small and bring stuff out like rice and noodles but having to wait nearly 10 mins for the food to go with. Service was very slow. Not a great night out,and well over priced. Won't be going back again.

Hot and cold food very fresh not the cheapest but good

Ordered a takeaway. Asked for mild Singapore noodles for my wife, I’ve never eaten anything this hot in my life, she couldn’t eat her food. I asked for pork curry… the most bland and tasteless food I’ve eaten in a very long time. Dinner ruined. Rang them, complained… offered to cook noodles again for free but unwilling to drive them out to me, despite ruining our dinner and causing inconvenience. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Frankly disappointing. We've patronised the Jasmine for a number of years and yesterdays takeaway was the most disappointing one we've ever had. Beef with cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce and mushroom fried rice with hardly any flavour at all. The service itself was really good but I wish I had saved the nearly £14 and cooked it myself.

Overpriced. Food can be quite sickly.

Usually get chicken fried rice, salt and pepper chicken. Nice little restaurant although I order to takeaway, food is always good

Use to be a really lovey place in the past, but now food not so nice also different menu to eat in to takeaway, you now have to ask for chopsticks if eating in, also waitering staff don't dress up in Chinese clothes like they use to, also parking can be a nightmare, small car park nt but you have to pay,has definitely improved, staff very nice friendly and helpful, good takeaway portions ,they only take cash ,but cashpoint not far away

When I visit my parents I always make sure to go to the Jasmine without fail. Excellent food, friendly service and a lovely peaceful atmosphere. They are cash only but definitely worth it. I can't highly recommend them enough.

So we used to go a couple times a year before lockdown and was excited when we found out it had been opened (not sure when it actually was but we only learnt recently) and we booked straight away !! How disappointed were we though when we discovered how much it cost !! I appreciate you can order what you like but even ordering 2 dishes it still didn't amount to half of a full meal, then when we were finally ready for the bill £203 for 6 people, £203 !!! £172.80 for the food and £30.20 for 7 cokes which was poured from a bottle !! I know myself I will not go back nor any of the party i was with and were in total agreement, we all feel gutted we didn't stay home and order a full meal each for £80 with a full bottle of pop included !! A few years ago it would have been a 5 star review but now its 1 star and maybe a 5 star for extortion !!

The worst chinese I've ever had , didn't think it was possible to get any worse than Tavistocks chineses!! So gave this a try, it was tasteless apart from a fusty taste sorry nothing positive to say about any of the dishes .Not deserving of any stars!

Great food and excellent service.

The food was very tasty and the service was very accommodating. When we were there, we were the only guests eating there, although food was picked up regularly.

Been going here for years, it never disappoints. Ate in the restaurant last night, the service was great! Food came out quickly and was yummy. Some of the party had all you can eat from the feast menu, it really was a feast 😍 Look forward to returning!

We've been coming here for many years and has always been one of our favourite places to come and eat, the dine in side of things we're closed for a while but we were very happy to find out they had opened it again, so we came out over the weekend and we weren't disappointed, just as nice as it always was and the staff were lovely as well.

This was our first time eating food from here and it was very tasty and well presented. We had a large takeaway order and we did not have to wait too long for it to be ready. The restaurant looked very well presented and the lady taking our order was excellent. Slightly out of the way but the very tasty food makes up for it.

Came for a lovely family meal and thoroughly enjoyed every dish. You can order from the a la carte menu or choose from the 80 dishes on the all-you-can-eat menu. Plenty of other guests dining in and celebrating birthdays - the staff even play happy birthday and bring out a small cake and candle - while quite a few came in for takeaways. The food was very well cooked, tasty and fresh. The portions are not too big meaning you can munch your way through several dishes. The all-you-can-eat menu costs £26 and you get two hours to eat as much as you can. Beware though, Saturdays and Sundays the restaurant only accepts cash for dine in.

Been going here for ages but had one last night for all the family and all the chicken tasted old and really chewy . Complained and just got told we sorry all our food taste like that here . I said well it doesn’t I’ve been coming here for years but I’ll leave an appropriate review . Won’t go back personally.

Absolutely brilliant chinese, there are many Chineses around but none of them come close to this one, I am impressed and empowered! Most Chinese places have very low hygiene ratings and also very poor listening skills but not this one.

Was looking for late evening food and this popped up in Yelverton. I thought omg I've lived near here for a year and there's a Chinese takeaway. I gotta go see and taste. Absolutely gorgeous food and service was excellent and thank you to those chefs in there for making my food at 10pm on a Sunday night. Much appreciated

Need to reintroduce all you can eat dine in.

Placed a large order tonight during a very busy service, as it was Mother's Day. Food was ready in half an hour, was all hot and very tasty. Especially enjoyed the Duck with Plum Sauce. Very impressed overall given how busy they were. Thank you.

Lived locally for many years but was really disappointed. Ordered a takeaway with several dishes. Lemon chicken tasted of synthetic lemon squash, king prawns with cashews was bland and was mostly bamboo, special fried rice was OK but don't expect much rice with it - more of a mixed meat dish. Very expensive for a takeaway too. Be selective with what you order!

Great selection of very tasty food. Fast service and free crackers with large orders. Been here many time over the years and they have stayed consistently good

Staying on a nearby campsite, we ordered, and it was so good!! We had way too much and had loads left, great portions! Will deffo use again when here next!

Really nice food. Had the Satay Vegetables. Very tasty. Waiting staff were very good. Definitely worth a visit.

Service was ok to begin with but then became horrendous, waited 40 minutes between starters and main after reminding staff, when this came out the portions were tiny, two of the lamb dishes had four bite sized slices. We then waited another 40 minutes or so for more food which portions were much better this time around but was served with barely any warmth! We paid £100 for a bad experience will not be returning!

Wow! Wonderful find just off Dartmoor. A delightful Chinese restaurant, wonderful food and the staff so friendly....they really made a difference. Am on holiday and fed up with pub food, so fancied something different. The Jasmine looks a bit plain from the outside and is down a side street, but once inside you will find a delightful restaurant, very cosy. We had the as much as you can eat menu, with a platter to start. Food was very good, promptly served and reasonable portions, you can then order more once you complete a main and side dish. (Suggest you order just the one rice, so as to get monies worth !) Would be happy to recommend a visit.

Nearly all the tables full kept the staff busy , food was great , clean ( till we spilt food everywhere ) only spoiled by our party needing to get going so quick .

I've been using this Chinese for a number of years, being local, and have always had good service and excellent food. Devastated when they closed for a month because non of the nearby Chinese can match their quality. Only draw back is they sometimes don't take cards, which means a run to the local cash machine but not really a problem. Keep up the good work.

Ordered takeaway got home part of the order wasn't there rang them which was fine went back to get missing parts from my order.Asked if I could replace the curry I had to leave at home to go cold then an arrugment with the lady to options give me a new curry or refund me my money for my meal no can't do that no didnt want to give me a new curry after threaten to call trading standard she storms into kitchen 5 mins later come out with a new meal which could have been sorted when I first asked

It's our favourite place to eat and definitely worth the trip out of the city. All you can eat menu is great and cooked fresh for you, always delicious and we always leave feeling ready to burst.

Fantastic food both in the restaurant and take away.

worth the trip out, food and staff are really nice, good value for money. If everyone in the group is planning on drinking make sure your transport is covered. not all Taxis from Plymouth/Tavistock will make the trip out to Yelverton, if out late u wont have much chance on a bus. we walked back into Plymouth via the plym valley cycle track, which was pretty amusing in the pitch black.

The quality of the food was amazing. The starters were perfect. It's all you can eat where you order from a menu and everything is cooked to order. The staff were also friendly and there was a good relaxed atmosphere. Will be going back.

17 April - restaurant was busy and food was delicious - a nice experience.

I have eaten twice here now both times the service has been questionable. There price is slightly more than average but they get away with it being its the only Chinese within a good radius. Food is good but my chicken was a little pink on my second visit.
