Been here a few times. Always good food and good service. Catered well for a friend who is vegetarian. Highly recommended and will use again as some of the best Chinese food I have had. Thank you.

Diabolical service, thought something was wrong when there was 20 tables free on a Saturday evening. Staff were dressed in tracksuits and trainers, didn’t smile once and were extremely surly Food was average and not very hot and portions small. Will not be going again

This review is for takeaway. It was dreadful. The kung po prawns was so hot it was inedible. The chicken in black bean sauce. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled or something and then reheated. It was so tough you couldn't cut it all. What a complete waste of money. Shame they can't do better as the only Chinese restaurant in the town. We had a meal in the restaurant last month and it was not as bad as this takeaway. We hadn't been there for ages and they did tell us they had a new chef. So we thought when we ordered the takeaway the food would have been better. Silly us. They really need to up their game.

The personnel is quite impolite. Nobody has any consideration for what a customer want to obtain or inquire about. Since we work in the hospitality industry, we can relate to staff members who may be pressed for time and want to finish processing orders quickly. When my companion and I requested for the bill while he was still enjoying his soup, the waitress gave us a funny look and promptly handed it to us, clearly indicating that she didn't want us there. Nobody was hospitable enough. If we had been in the restaurant, we would have placed larger orders. It didn't seem possible that anyone would want to serve us instead of just the group seated around the big table for their birthday celebration. We will never return.

I went with with my family to eat and the waitress and waiter were not friendly to us. The food served was underwhelming. Last year there was a good waiter that was very friendly and nice to us but I did not see him there which was sad.

To start with its very expensive but that’s ok is the quality’s there but it’s not. Dry tasteless dishes that disappoint from the very beginning. I won’t detail every single dish because it’s really not worth it needless to say read the reviews and ignore them at your peril!

Very disappointing. Not been here for a year. The price has gone up from around £16.95 to £24.95. Outrageous. The soup was excellent. They brought the crispy duck abc it was cold and very dry. Then I ordered fillet of fish in spring onion and ginger. It was fish in soggy batter with a very bland tasteless sauce. Then the chicken and cashew was dry chicken in an almost bbq sauce just dry snd bland again. The noodles we ordered dry almost like everything was prepped then microwaved. So let down. Would not advise at all. Waste of money. Such a shame as it’s always been a favourite of mine

We decided to give the restaurant one more chance as we like the concept of eating lots of small plates of food here. Nothing has changed. Restaurant is old & dated and food is not good quality and exceptionally salty. Chicken was tough and the crispy duck dry and disappointing. We definately we not be coming here again. Hope that another Chinese restaurant opens up in the town soon.

Our first visit to Jasmine with friends last night. Great choice of food and cooked to order, and could eat as much as we liked for the set price. Service was excellent. It was such a shame that the restaurant was so very quiet although they did seem to be doing plenty of takeaways. The food was excellent and well worth the money. Very enjoyable evening.

This restaurant has been in Maidenhead forever. But they have got complacent. We would never go here again. With all the re-development we are hoping that it will entice another chinese resaurant

Order hear a few times now the seaweed is so salty you can’t eat it the beef is dry and to chewy the rise is not good real shame Maidenhead has no good Chinese

Food and service excellent. Menu is quite confusing ! High drinks prices when you are in a big group and your friends keep ordering more lol. Small mini Prosecco bottle was 11.50😅. We are very local but we aren’t regulars as a bit pricy compared to other places around.

As usual we had a great evening at the Jasmine. The food was all very good and the service was excellent. The new waiter, Sonny, was very friendly and helpful. We are frequent visitors and will definitely be back soon. 🙂

Have eaten here over the years but it's at least a year since we last tried it, maidenhead doesn't have any other Chinese sit down restaurants, so we went for all you can eat option which is currently £24.95 per head. This isn't a buffet...

Well what can I say we were a family if 7 and we were all totally blown away with the quality of food and service! The place was very busy due to the eat out to help out discount but the staff coped brilliantly! They were very helpful when we asked questions and were good with advice! All the food was excellent especially the starters and of course the duck and pancakes! Nice to see a brilliant restraint not overcharging for drinks! We would happily have paid full price for the food we had! Well done everyone excellent!

Ordered Jasmine Peking to deliver tonight (as a celebration evening) and was extremely disappointed. Wanted to try a new chinese and looked at the reviews and thought why not. For £25 I got a chow mein, chips, dumplings and beef and black bean ‘sauce’ with rice. It was the most blandest takeaway I’ve ever eaten and will not be returning. They arrived over half an hour late(after 45 minutes) and appeared they came in a taxi to drop it off? Not a problem you do you but It literally tasted of just pure grease and nothingness. The dumplings were raw, cold and also tasted like sausage roll? My partner couldn’t even eat the beef as it was just chewy and bland and came with no sauce so it was covered in just grease. Ended up having to make a pasta sachet which had more flavour and bite. Not looking forward to sitting on the toilet all night. Have sent an email. I do not recommend.

Had a delivery this evening due to the current UK lockdown.Food was here within 30 minutes, delivery driver observed and exercised social distancing plus the food was absolutely delicious!I heard on the grapevine that they now have a different chef. The food is different and I should imagine the chef has brought their own recipes with them. Absolutely beautiful food and the flavours and spices are delicious without being overpowering.If you've had a bad experience previously then I recommend you give them the benefit of the doubt and dive in for another try!Hats off to the chef and their team: 10/10 - Keep up the good work!

I ordered a takeaway at 7pm tonight, which was supposed to arrive in 30-40 mins according to the site, but after an hour and I half I had to call to check where it was. They said it would be 25 minutes. After another half an hour I called again. They said it would be 20-25 mins as it was “just being cooked”. I then waited ANOTHER 30 mins and it still hadn’t arrived - 2 and a half hours after ordering! We eventually received our food almost 3 hours after ordering!I understand that given the current circumstances, orders are expected to take longer, but they should have been up front about this. They are clearly out of their depth and lied to me when they quoted the various times it should arrive. Food was okay when it arrived, but certainly wasn’t worth the extensive wait time.

We had a very nice lunch at the Jasmine Peking for Chinese New Year. Very good value (£8/head including starter, main course and Chinese tea or coffee), tasty food and very good service. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we requested an additional crispy duck which they were also able to serve. Would definitely go back again.

We went here for the first time on New Year’s Eve and had a great evening. The food was lovely, service exceptional (and in a full restaurant) and the staff couldn’t of been more helpful. Look forward to returning soon.

I had a very bad experience at the restaurant with my Husband. The food was very sub standard I do not by any means recommend. The staff are not friendly. I was even worried about one of the staff that took our order. Thoughts of the Adams family came to mind.!!! But seriously I had to leave one of the dishes as so bad. I was the next day very ill.

Went for a friends birthday celebration. It was all you could eat for about £18.50 so I wasn’t expecting much which is just as well because my low expectations came true. Started with a selection of deep fried things - although to be fair there was a little chicken skewer which was edible. I detest that green shredded seaweed when it’s more than likely made of cabbage. The next course was the highlight of the evening. Lots of very nice duck with soft pancakes and shredded onion and cucumber. Followed by main courses which looked just awful. I had some rice with something in batter but to be honest all I could taste was the batter. I’m not really sure if there was anything else inside it. The other dishes looked so grim I couldn’t even try them. Poor choice of drinks - only one lager available on tap which was Carlsberg - not my husbands cup of tea. They did have a NZ Sauvignon but not a good one. To be fair, the staff were great. They were really working hard as the place was very busy - Saturday evening. But it’s hardly surprising that obesity levels are rising with the amount of oil used in such an establishment. I would not return here if I was dragged through the streets by a mob. I don’t even have a photo to post!

We went in at 20:30, the meal was rushed and felt unwelcome. Starters was cold, so we ordered some more and was hot. Were told at 21:50 to decide what we would like as our mains, Then to top the meal off they overcharged us by £10. Food wise... ok but customer service rubbish

Ordered almost £100 worth of food for a family meal. Drove 15 minutes to get the food as out of the delivery catchment, and were very disappointed when we got home and 5 dishes of the food were not in the box. Noodle dishes, all the rice and prawn balls were not included, which were main parts of the meal. WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN. The food we received were smaller portions than other local takeaways and looked about £50 worth when we paid much more. When we called the restaurant they offered no assistance and were quite rude. Will be raising a dispute with paypal to try and get some sort of refund.

Please stay clear of this one I had one piece of toast in the morning of 3rd August 2019 and visited and had the buffet at this restaurant. Some hours after was very sick. Bad bug in my tummy. Still not that well a week after. The food we ordered I could not believe they had the cheek to serve. The soup was Im sure dish water and ordered wang ton they brought out paper thin crumb thing not possible to eat. The dishes were sub standard understatement. Please be warned

we went for the buffet all you could eat it was very tasty the restaurant is nice and spacious and clean the staff are attentive but not overpowering.

We found the staff extremely rude. They kept watching us eat and i felt like they were laughing at us. I asked for sweet and sour sauce and the 'older woman' slammed it on the table and walked off. We refused to pay a tip which she got annoyed about and refused to talk to us for the rest of the time we were there, also rolling her eyes.

The food was Excellent, this is why I gave this review two stars. But one thing ruined it. I visited this restaurant with my friends, and halfway during eating, this old waiter came up to us,took our plates away, and when ordering more dishes, he said,

Really good food, great service and just and all round good experience.

Unfortunately really dissapointed. Food was very cold (there was hardly anyone in the restaurant) the beef was almost grey in colour and again cold. Rice was sticky. Very small portion sizes, the food was all in all the worst Chinese I have ever had. However the staff were very lovely. And £3.50 for a Coke is an absolute joke.

We hadn't planned to eat here but what a lucky choice! The service, food and vale (with a fixed price menu) were all excellent and we will certainly visit again.

We were a party of 8 on our first visit to jasmine Peking. We were taken back by the tentative attention the staff paId to us. The service was excellent not to mention the food. Good qualiy and plentiful. We will certainly be returning.

It was nice to find the food not as salty as other places, but it wasn't amazing. Noodles were bland and duck dish was too chewy. Next time I'm back in Maidenhead I'll order a takeway elsewhere.

We placed a large order for our NYE party. On a positive note there was plenty of food, especially duck and the food was not overly salty. However it was barely warm and bland. There are much better takeaways in Maidenhead

Ate here with 6 mates and I was actually pretty impressed. Jasmine Peking has an all you can eat menu for just under see £17. You pick dishes from a menu or order the feast which was plenty of food. Service was friendly and very efficient and the food was nothing amazing but hot and well cooked. More akin to a West End Chinese but at a very decent price. They are certainly doing something right because the restaurant was absolutely packed, so if you want a table on a Friday night you should book.

To be fair you should be shut down!!! It was dry and rancid you should be ashamed! Just utter disgusting and I’ve never felt so unwell in my life at the sight of food!!

Great service and tasty food. Slightly let down by having no children’s high chairs at all...something to be wary of when bringing a small children

Ordered dumplings which are good however the chicken chow mien was really awful ... barely cooked thin vermicelli strands either A few undercooked onion and 5 tiny pieces of dried chicken breast on top ... the very worst ever as no added flavour

Still good food after eating here on and off for over 30 years. We had a family meal here and they were willing to let us have all-you-can-eat while our son just ordered from the menu - which was good. We had a wide range of dishes and all were tasty and generous. Sadly no puddings though.

Service was attentive, although waiter was an older man and quite surly. Food was basic, nothing to write home about and wouldn’t want to go back. Also for set price it was expensive for what was available. Starters cold and noodles burnt. Not even a high chair, which meant families with children were compromised. Surprising for a Berkshire restaurant. Come on Jasmine, pull your socks up

I have been going to this restaurant for 35 years and for most of that was a great place to eat, classic chinese food, great service. however I am disappointed to report it has really gone down hill and the meal I had last saturday throws into question whether I will eat there again. The starters, normally a highlight, were really poor, cold ribs with unrendered fat on them, cold soggy seaweed, you get the picture. It was like the starters had been cooked the day before and weakly warmed up. The crispy duck was good and the main courses not bad but the tone was set. Bearing in mind I proposed to my wife in this place, can't tell you how disappointed I am and feel really let down.

I'm not even a Chinese food lover but it was delicious!! Great value and wonderful staff! Can't wait to go back!

Called in for supper after seeing a film. Fast service but food not too good, average Chinese fayre served indifferently. Alwyas the same stuff served - maybe needs modern, updated menus now.

Came down at the weekend to visit family in Windsor, stayed at the Holiday Inn just outside Maidenhead Centre. Looked prior to visit for good Chinese and Thai restaurants and booked a table here due to good reviews. We were not disappointed. They have a menu which is all you can eat for £16.80, the exception to the normal buffet choice is that you order whatever you want from the menu and it is served fresh to your table so nothing like the usual offering which goes cold or has been there for hours! Once you have finished the lovely staff ask you if you want more. As much as we wanted to we decided to go to the middle course of duck and pancakes, plenty of it and double helpings! On to the main courses of which there are vast amounts to choose from, you can order as many as you like. One reviewer had said portions were small, they are smaller than average but if you want more rather than it go cold on the plate you just order another portion so the portions are definitely not small at all!!! My husband has a big appetite as does my brother in law and they had no complaints so don't believe the small portions it's not true! The food was well cooked, the staff are just delightful. Well worth a visit and we will definitely go back. On reviewer said a rip off, this restaurant considering it is in the South of England is far cheaper than what you pay in Manchester!!! Well done Jasmine Peking, keep doing what you do and we will be back for more soon.

Visited Maidenhead from London for a pre New Years night out. Decided to eat Chinese food before going out. Happened upon the Jasmine Peking restaurant. Decided in a takeaway. I ordered mushroom soup and mushroom chow mien. My partner had prawn chow mien and chicken and sweet corn soup as a takeaway. The food was cold and not at all tasty.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child and it has changed owners since then, however, the food is still excellent. In fact I would go as far as to say it is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants. I've tried so many but I keep coming back every time I am in Maidenhead, which these days is not that often! The starters are great, the crispy duck is one of the best I've had and the main courses are also good. I've got my favourites I do try and branch out and I'm very rarely disappointed, on the odd time I've found a main course not to my liking I find it hardly matters as I can just order some more, which is the beauty of 'eat as much as you like'. In terms of value and quality I'm not sure any other Chinese restaurant comes close. The staff are always attentive and I've never had a bad meal here and I reckon I must of been 50+ times. As others have mentioned the frontage makes it look like an odd chinese takeaway but the inside decor is one of classic dining. If you happen to be in the area go and you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely discusting , the worst meal I've had in years , never even smiled , the worst chow main I've ever had it was just noodles with 3 small pieces of meat so small I had to search for the pieces and so dry .

Just finished eating which cost £17 for some basic starters and chow mein and I can honestly say this was the worst Chinese food I've ever experienced! Do not waste your money on this bland, over cooked food. I read the reviews but my girlfriend and I was disgusted in the quality and quantity....the chicken chow mein had hardly any chicken and was incredibly dry....aromatic duck was ok but not you got shred it yourself and limited cucumber and onion. In my opinion...there are far better places...first and last time I order!

Now I would have to admit I like Chinese food, but twice in two weeks to the same restaurant is pushing it a bit even for me. The first visit was to thank some of the guys I work with for an outstanding job the second was to say Good luck to a colleague I have worked with for 2 years on his way to a new role in a new country. Basically I am saying these were special occasions and the Jasmine did not disappoint great food, attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We booked a table at 8 on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy but we were greeted straight away and taken to a table. Drinks were ordered and came straight away. The menu was £16.80 for all you can eat from the menu. We ordered starters and then duck for a middle course. All was delicious. There was no pressure to order a main until we were ready. The mains were a small portion which suited us down to the ground as there was more scope to try lots. A lovely evening in pleasant surroundings with polite and friendly staff and excellent food!

Restaurant very quiet so perfect for a lunch with a friend, business lunch menu good value, for £7 a person a choice from 8 starters, we had sasame prawn toast and spring rolls, both were very nice, fresh, hot, and tasty, you can then chose a main each, we had lemon chicken and chicken with mushrooms, you get a bowl of rice and a plate of vegetables to accompany the mains, chinese tea or coffee afterwards, the mains were very fresh and tasty but there was no chicken with the chicken and mushroom dish, when we told the staff they laughed and quickly served us with another full dish, Portions look a little small initially, but were ample for lunch, and good value for money, the staff pretty quiet but pleasant and we were not hurried even though it was approaching closing time. The toilet facilities were absolutely immaculate as was the whole restaraunt.

Me and my wife went out with friends (two other couples) but I wasn't feeling too great so decided not to eat but everyone else was hungry so they ordered their food and when the waiter adressed me, I explained that I would not be eating and just asked for a drink. The waiter responded in an arrogant tone, "don't think you can touch the food, if I see you eat anything I will charge you!" I reassured him that I would not touch a thing. Then when the rice came out, our friend told rhe waiter that it was too hard. The waiter took it away and brought the same dish back and stated "I've tried it and it's fine". So the waiter tasted our food and then gave it back to us?!. Then the bill came, half in Chinese half in English so I asked fot it to be explained to which the waiter seemed extremely put out and bluntly translated it as best he could. We asked to have the service charge removed as we ordered drinks which never arrived and our table was not cleared during the meal, their reply was "if you don't pay the service charge, we get nothing." We decided to just pay the bill including the service (lol) charge and leave. So to summarize, we will never go there again and hope to save others a dreadful experience by writing this review.

We came here 6 adults and 6 children under 5. They were very quick with the food and it was all lovely. You order as much as you want off the menu which is really good because it is fresher than a buffet. They brought my friends son's birthday cake out too which he loved. Would deffo revisit.

I've known this restaurant for 40 years, hit and miss with the food. Tonight I went, new staff miserable and rude, slamming food on the table when I dared ask for extra cucumber with the duck. I will never go back, do not go to this restaurant unless you're in a large crowd, been drinking and not worried re customer service. Extremely disappointed

The Jasmine Peking does not look good from the outside, but inside its tidy and well kept, including the toilets (most important)It's a buffet type Chinese restaurant servicing cantonese style dishes but spiced up to suite UK tastebuds. Typical selection of dishes. There were 7 of us and we had the large round table at the end. All had a selection of dishes which was enough to satisfy us. N.B If you over order any food left is charged for, so don't over order.A pleasant place with attentive staff, but not too much, just right.Do try and use the chop sticks, after awhile you become very good with them.

The fixed price menu here gives great value for money as you can eat as many starters or as many pancakes as you want even before your main arrives. Because you order from the menu you are guaranteed a good level of quality. Be careful with any drinks however as these can inflate your bill unexpectedly. Would recommend if you're in the area.

We booked this restaurant because our daughter wanted the family, eight of us, to celebrate her 18th birthday locally. From the first phone call to book, them checking the booking nearer the time, and my wife's visit to put out some balloons etc, they could not have been more accommodating or helpful! The restaurant was pretty much full on the night but they had no problem coping, the staff were all (bar one who was very unhappy all night about something - which didn't matter to us because she wasn't serving us) excellent, faultless in fact, particularly the very friendly chap and lovely lady looking after us. The food is an "eat as much as you like" for £16.50 from a good selection of dishes and was very good for the price, ambience etc. There was a good selection of wine for a good price. I am certain that we will be going back soon!

We went as a family of 4 for an evening meal on a Friday and even though we didn't book they gave us a table. We asked for the normal menu rather than all you can eat, but they didn't seem too happy with that. We were served quickly and food was average, however when we finished our meals and were still drinking our drinks, a member of staff came over and tried to take our table cloth away. We refused twice as we thought it was very rude. They didn't even offer us more drinks and it was like they couldn't wait to get rid of us even though there were plenty of tables. Also there was a staff member who we assumed was the boss, who kept hovering over the table. Will never go back there again due to the rudeness of staff.

This place has a business menu which is good value for money at 7 per head. Comes with starter ; main and rice and a small portion of fried vegetables.Food is reasonably tasty and well cooked.Service is a bit off-putting with an over enthusiastic wait staff clearing plates the second they are empty even when I am still waiting my meal.Plate clearing should be more relaxed in my opinion.

As always the food was very good and some balloons decorated the restaurant for Valentine's night.The score was reduced due to the service being slower than usual and a little erratic. In all it's great value with so many wonderful dishes to choose from.

We went for a lunch on a Saturday as a large family group. We had the "business lunch" which was £7 per head for 2 courses. The food was fairly standard: tasty but nothing exciting. The portions were medium sized but we all left feeling full and no food was wasted. It was excellent value.Staff were courteous and service quick.

We went for a family dinner. The food was a good standard and the service was good. We had the all you can eat deal. The starter bits were good there could have been food for the main and we had to ask for more. They were quite keen to bring a bit of everything out for us even though you could pick what you wanted off the menu. It seemed they prefer to bring a mix for every table. That was fine but it was a bit quickly decided for us. Price was not bad for the food amount too. Duck was a nice course. We had to ask them for a break between courses though as it was quite quick. I would go back again though.

We had a typical selection of starters, duck and mains from the "Eat As Much As You Like" menu and it was all good. Reasonable price at £35 per head including service and quite a lot of wine. We asked for a dish not on the menu and it was made for us - nice touch.

My husband and I wanted a break from cooking last weekend and decided to visit Jasmine Peking, we have been here before and new the food was good.On arriving at the restaurant there was no usual welcome or jacket taken to be hung. We hovered by the door for a while before we were gestured to a table.We waited a good 15 mins before any one came to take our drinks order, then another 20 for food. We ordered a mixed starter with no ribs/no port as we always do, me as I am vegetarian and my husband on religious grounds. When the starter eventually came there was ribs on the plate, I advised the waitress that we had asked for no ribs, to which the plate was removed and a few moments later another pate arrived. On seeing the oil on the side of the plate I asked the manager, who happened to bring the dish is that the same plate. Yes he answered... I said we don't want that and we would like a fresh serving. I was very shocked when he suddenly turned around and was very abrupt at me for not ordering minus the pork in the first place, We explained we had then he decided to leave the plate on our table so he could 'prove' to us it was a fresh serving that came next. Honestly if we wasn't so hungry and tired we would have left. We were very disappointed by the remainder of the meal and the fact they have also put the prices up. The staff were rude and un-attentive. We shall never ever eat here again.. Very very disappointed. We have previously loved coming here and often come when we have friends visiting.

We went to the Jasmine for a New Years Eve meal. We had no plans to stay to bring in the new year just for a meal but they had made such an effort that we almost regretted this. We were not rushed and ended up staying there until after 10am. We had poppers and glitter bombs. The food was very tasty and the crispy duck crispy. The house white wine is perfectly acceptable if a little light.My only disappointment was that they allowed the CD to remain on a loop and so we heard Big Ben bells twice and we weren't even there at 12.

Came in at 6pm for a meal.... even though restaurant was empty was squeezed in between a family with a screaming child and another couple. Ordered our starters and was served raw uncooked satays and when I say raw I mean like straight out the packet!!! Spat it out to avoid illness. Duck was nice but the mains were awful. 2 lots of Singapore noodles.... mine was just noodles with egg but my partner had prawns and pork in his!!! Clearly just scooped out of a big vat of pre cooked and lucky dip if you end up with anything else. Main course was also incredibly greasy and not very nice at all.Such a shame as I used to come here all the time and have a delicious meal.... oh and for my troubles, today I have a dodgy tummy and vomiting. Won't be going back again :(

Ordered a take away for 4 from their own website menu. It clearly said 13.50 per person. Arrived and they wanted 62.00, called then and a very rude girl said it was 15.50 each and we must be on the wrong website. We showed the delivery person their website and the link to the take away menu, clearly their own which read 13.50 but she did not want to get involved. Sent food back mostly because the girl on the phone was so rude. Today, 2 days later, we note that their website now says 15.50. Picture is attached of the price from Friday when we ordered. It's a shame as we have been there and ordered from there a few times, never again. Actually the next take away we tried was better and almost 30 pounds cheaper, guess we were stuck it a rut with this place but will never return

had the Sunday eat as much as you want from the menu £15.80 per person good size portions good presentation with care to detail friendly staffmodern clean toilets good décor just enough light to give a cosy aura excellent price we didn't mind the service charge as we would leave this normally as a tip what a shame we do not live nearer as this is a rare find
