Jasmine House in Arun

Had an egg fried rice, curried sauce and chips. Had to throw just over half of the rice and sauce away. It just didn't seem right. I didn't feel well afterwards. Interior to take away is in poor condition. Way too much on their menu so not concentrating on just Chinese but other foods such as Fish and Chip shop. I now know why I go to the other take away in the area.

Staying locally and a menu was left on the side and very glad it was. Food was excellent and couldn't fault it. Vegetarian options was also great apparently. Delivery on a bank holiday was swift and piping hot

Went for fish and chips, as the shop is advertised as this as well. It was rubbish. The chips tasted old and re-fried, didn’t taste like chip shop chips. The large bag was more like a standard size. Didn’t offer salt and vinegar had to ask once bagged up if there was any on them and there wasn’t. Will never go there again. Rose green Fryery much better

A dreadful looking takeaway shop bordering on unhealthy & unkempt, I didn't realise the condition of the shop until I went inside to collect my order. The food was pretty bland, a special chow mein with little meat content and a burger with chips which was binned after one bite.

Dreadful duck dish collected this evening. Very dry, as if old and reheated. Inedible. Phoned the restaurant and was offered 10% off our next bill. We politely declined and will be taking our business elsewhere. Pity as we have been customers for many years. Poor customer service - could and should have been handled more professionally. THEY have changed the menu where I have used this take away for Twenty years , Now they only do one large container where they used to do large or half portions , shame because I am on my own now and can not eat Two large portions , so I have now moved to another Chinese which is not as good but I do not waste food.

Have visited this restaurant several times for takeaway food. I find you get plenty of great tasting food and value for your money in this place. Always met by friendly staff. Quick service. Recommend calling in advance to place an order if you don't want to wait for the preparation of food as they can get quite busy. Waiting area is very simple and a bit old and tired but definitely nothing I'm bothered about as I'm there to only collect the food. Highly recommend if you haven't ordered from here yet.

Nice food ,not to expensive, delivery was quick and food was hot.

Went in for simple fish and chips the fish was wok cooked full of fat and what i would class as a medium fish not a large it looked thin and more oil than fish and the batter was sludgy. This take away has gone down hill since its change of hands poor chinese with weird chicken now third time using since changed hands and not one good experience now going to have to find somewhere else to buy a decent fish and chips or chinese such a shame

Everybody cooks Chinese slightly different. We found the chow mein a bit dry but otherwise, the food was amazing, well cooked and tasty.

Fantastic food and the staff where very polite

Stayed 8 days at the Barton Manor last month and ordered food from this take away twice. It was meant to be just the one time because we left it too late and all restaurants nearby were closed. We ordered Singapore fried noodles (vermicelli), special fried rice and stir-fried broccoli with garlic (which isn’t on the menu). The fried rice was disappointing, too dry and a bit tasteless for us. But the Singapore fried noodles (vermicelli) was really good! It’s even better than what we get in HK! (It maybe a bit too spicy for some though..) The broccoli with garlic was also yummy with the broccoli just the right crunchiness. Hence we went back the second time for their Singapore fried noodles and stir-fried broccoli with garlic.

Food was not hot enough, chips was not fresh, and the oil tasted like it had not been changed for ages, I always used to come here often, but the last few visit it’s gone down hill, so I wil be looking for a new restaurant now

Under new management, a little slow and slightly under cooked chips

Used this Chinese for about 18 years. It was the best Chinese around here by far for us. (Everyone has slightly different tastes) The food was always different from all the other chinese restaurants, all the others seem to be pretty much the same. It was taken over by new owners last year and it's not quite the same now. It is just like all the others now. The food is very nice, fresh and tasty but the chicken fried rice has about half as much chicken in it as it used to have and it costs more now. The spare ribs are those ones where the meat is tougher whereas before it fell off the bone and was softer and the sauce was much darker and more like barbecue sauce than sweet and sour. I'll carry on using them because like i said, it's all pretty much the same everywhere now. But The Pagham Jasmine house ain't a scratch on what it was before the new owners took over. Sadly. It was out there on it's own before.

This used to be our favourite Chinese takeaway and the only one my son would eat from. But since being under new management, the dishes aren’t as pleasant. Have tried a few times, just in case it was just an ‘off’ day, but sadly the recipes have changed and each time, it’s ending up in the bin. Would love to know where the old chef went.

DO NOT USE disgusting service, ordered food at 6.30pm and it is now 8.45pm. Lady on the phone rude, nasty and refusing to refund our money when they can’t confirm when we will receive it. Ruined my daughter’s birthday.

On holiday at church farm and decided to try this Chinese. Had the meal deal for 1, lemon chicken,satay chicken, chicken Hong Kong style and starter variety. ALL delicious! Very impressed. Don't get put off by décor as it's clean and top quality. Chow mein was abit greesy hence 4 stars not 5. Would recommend.

Looks busy but the food not much

We have been going here for a few years but the food taste and quality has now put us off. All meals are overly salted. Crispy beef was just crispy batter. Strange texture to curry and it is just all so salty it puts you off. Sorry will have to find another local

Food was ok, waiting time was over 40mins for a portion of fish and chips.

The cod was fab, but very disappointed with the cheese burgers. It doesn't cost a lot to put some decent salad in a burger. On menu it says lettuce & onion, well there was no sign of lettuce, a very small amount of onion and I think they had halved a cheese slice between the burgers, how tight is that!!!!! Definitely not worth £3 might as well have had a plain burger for what was in it. Overall very disappointed.

Food was lovely but inside isn't very clean

We have been to most of Chinese take always in the bognor area to be disappointed someone said give the jasmine house a go you won't be disappointed OMG how right they were we will definitely be buying from them again .

Given two stars as it conveniently local but the food was not fresh it was re heated in a microwave to which it gave the food no flavour. Won’t be coming here again.

Here on holiday for the week. Had a Chinese here; can honestly say it's probably the best takeaway Chinese I've had! We had the Prawn toast, chicken satay on skewers, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken hong Kong style and lemon chicken. Would definately recommend!

Absolutely Delicious, if Chinese food is what you want this is the place to go

Sweet and sour dish has amazing flavour. Satey sauce over Smokey chicken was incredible. Chicken curry is the nicest one I've tried from any Chinese restaurant. Duck was succulent and tender. Prawn crackers were spot on. The rice was brown which I didn't enjoy as much as normal white but my Mrs absolutely loved it. We did get a banana fritter any the batter was soggy and horrible, but I couldn't knock a star off as everything else was absolute class!

Service is rubbish and never have a smile and the food is mostly tasteless. It use to be a lovely place to eat from but now it's just shite.

Fantastic Chinese and great chips, best sweet and sour chicken I've ever had.

Had Chinese food from here a year ago and it was pretty good. Last night's Chinese was a total let down. Rice was bland and a very dark brown colour. The duck was dry, tough and tasteless. Other than the prawn toast, the whole meal was a disappointment. £27.00 wasted
