We have visited this restaurant for about twenty years. Last night, we all noticed a deterioration in the quality, choice and service. It was really busy and they had an insufficient number of staff to deal with everyone There were at least six typos on the new menu - one which had limited the options from the previous menu. 22.50 per person for what we ate was not great. The experience menu now doesn’t have a dessert choice and some of the starters - have disappeared. - the once lovely dish with meat and lettuce. The duck was great, however quickly went cold. Very little cucumber and spring onions. Errors in ordering plus difficulty attracting attention meant that I just ate what I was given as I didn’t want to hold up my party and the staff already looked frazzled. Sadly, this will be our last visit.

Fabulous food and service in a lovely setting

I have not been here for a few years, the food was really nice and the service was very welcoming.

Nice food but awful service! We weren't made aware of the 2hr limit when booking up so we were rushed off the table, staff was reluctant to give us plates after bringing the mains out as we were coming up to our time. Half of the time there was spent waiting for them to take our order and a lot of items ordered were missing. Went to order ice cream at the end as it's included in the price but was told if we wanted it we'd have to eat it out in the waiting area as they wanted the table so just left it. By far the worst service ever, will not be returning or recommending to anybody!

What an absolute horrendous experience, I would never go here again and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone. First off we ordered our starters and half of the stuff we ordered was completely forgot about, had to keep asking where this was and that was, we eventually got everything but once we had finished our starters it took over half an hour for someone to clear away and then we ordered our mains which took another half an hour to arrive, by this time we had less then 15 mins to eat it as we where being rushed because they said we only get 2 hours max as they needed the table, we wasted an hour between getting our starters cleared and the mains arriving, we didn't even have time to order dessert which is included in the price. Don't get me wrong the food was nice but the whole service was absolutely terrible, by far the worst service I've ever had anywhere. Oh yeah and by the way, there's a minimum of £2 per drink per people regardless of what drink you have like what the hell is that all about!!!

Ordered a takeaway eventually. The curry is so watery and full of onions, the food was not great and I doubt I will be returning back there.

Great Food and all you can eat, service was a little slow but to be honest it wasn't an issue. The restaurant was very busy and there were 8 of us in our party eating. Which have us time between the starters and mains to have more drinks and let our food go down 😁 Definitely recommend this place.

Great place for a meal and take away everything is fresh and tastes amazing been going there 20 years wow what a place. Staff are lovely too nothing is too much trouble for them.

This is a wonderful restaurant serving delicious food. Excellent staff always ready to help with extras as well as serving you quickly and with such care. It is a first class experience and I always enjoy eating there with friends.

We joined a group of over 20 friends for a meal at Jasmine Court, and it was wonderful. This is the third time we have arranged a group dinner at Jasmine Court and it is becoming a firm favourite of ours. The food is delicious and the service is first class. You get generous proportions of food all served piping hot on warmed plates and dishes. We all had an excellent evening. Well done to the chef and all the staff.

Disappointing on this occasion. Normally the food and service are good but on this occasion over a 90 minute wait from order confirmation to the food arriving. The delivery driver phoned to state you are not coming to the door. To which he had gone to the wrong side of town. For him to then tell me I had ordered to the wrong address. I asked him to tell me the address he had to which he confirmed my address but continued to tell me I was wrong. Until he realised he was at a similar sound street but the wrong one he hung up. Then the food arrived and it was average at best. Again a shame as normally the food is really tasty.

A great venue for dinner with friends. Excellent selection of items on the menu. Good value for money. Will definitely be going here again. Thank you. 👍

We gave 5 days notice for a takeaway order for 21 people. The food was ready on time as prearranged. It was piping hot and delicious! Great customer service. Will definitely call again.

Came after reading reviews and have to say I was not disappointed. Everything we ordered was hot and fresh and lots of flavour and taste. Probably one of the best chinese’s I have in a while! Only negative was once the restaurant got busier the service did slow down and had to ask to order additional things but overall a really good chinese buffet, lots of variety. Would really recommend!

I would highly recommend this unicorn restaurant. Situated in Rugby next to a convience store is a sharp and well presented Chinese restaurant. Pull the door handle to see sofas and a reception desk, it is posh but lacks trendy and ambiance. The staff are smiley and work on a help everyone basis. I had 2 starters; soup, capital ribs, a main special house crispy noodles which i enjoyed the dishes and flavours very much, Plus 2 large glasses of wine. I was fulfilled. Total bill was £30. Flavours and cooking skills are great but you get what you have paid for, i would pay more for premium ingredients ie sirloin beef, and local vegetables in the area; It is a local restaurant and I would definitely recommend. I was a tourist and a happy one, who will be back next year.

Not as good as it used to be. Service is slower, portions smaller and no Mongolian lamb. Had all you can eat, but was more like eat all you can manage to get them to bring out, which wasn't much...

It was ok We ordered the food and had to repeat the address 4 times. It arrived five minutes early but after giving specific instructions over the phone where we lived the driver still got lost and had to phone me. To his defense I did say to call, but surely sat nav shouldn’t leave you a five minute walk at the other side of the road. Food was nice apart from the sweet and sour chicken balls. The batter gave me a bad reaction overnight - was too greasy. Use to order a lot here but thinking of other options next time.

Used to be one of the best places for a Chinese. However, recent experiences do not show consistency. First order a few months ago was missing items which I had to go bk in for, next order was spot on. Latest order, ordered and collected with trust based on middle order being spot on. Had incorrect items. E.g. kung po special (should contain, chicken, prawns and pork) was supplied as seperate sauce and two battered pieces of chicken, sauce was quite sickly. Sweet and sour Cantonese chicken provided with mushy prawns by the time we noticed there was no point calling lucky there was no allergy to shellfish. Prawn crackers were also not great. I would love to give this location a glowing review but at the moment it is middling at best.

Staff friendly but unfortunately not very precise at taking orders. Went for all you could eat buffet but small of most starter apart from ribs and some starters ordered not brought out. Asked for seaweed 3 times while having starters but didn't arrive and then on mains asked again and told as moved on from starters couldn't have. Told waitress had asked previously and in the end a portion was brought. But unfortunately never received the chicken starter asked for. Main meals are a fraction of the size they used to be. Most puddings were brought out but had to re-ask for 2 as never arrived. Food was nice but still very little atmosphere. Could do better.

Food was very good, reasonable service, being as they were very busy, but not being able to keep your table for more than 2 hours is difficult in these circumstances.....just made it...as we decided not to have puddings and coffee.

Bad quality of food. The spiciest doesn’t meant that we don’t taste the freshness of food. Is good that my daughter in law tasted and didn’t eat so she hasn’t been poisoned as she is having a baby who is breastfeeding.

Ordered 4 portions, one had strange taste and smell bad. Gave them back the food and customer service is low, we paid more than 50£ and such poor food quality.

My daughter has just been and collected a chicken curry and chicken fried rice for me with her dinner order and it is the most disgusting thing I have ever had from a take out restaurant. The curried chicken was tasteless with sliced carrots which were uncooked and the fried chicken rice was soaking wet and looked like it was boiled rice and then chicken added then fried a little in a wok. I have only eaten about five mouthfuls and it was making me heave so I've binned it and I have wasted £14.30p on slop and I refuse point blank to give it a star rating but you have to give one to post on the site my dogs even turned their noses up at a bit of chicken and my dogs get sliced chicken every single day and that tells me all I need to know. DISGUSTING AND DISGUSTED.

The food was delicious, well presented and hot. The staff were attentive and professional. Plates and cutlery very clean. The Squid with chilli and salt was immense, as were the chilli ribs

Foods great, service is hit and miss depending on how busy it is. Also the staff aren't the warmest of people, but with food this good, it's not too much of an issue

It works on an all you can eat basis, roughly £18 per person or half price for anyone under 1.3m. We ordered a few dishes and shared them between us. Nice taste of Food and tasted good. My only negative was the hot dishes were not very spicy, but that is because I enjoy spicy food

Just ordered 2 portions of chicken chow mein to my house. What I received was a box of very dry noodles, with few pieces of even dryer chicken and few slices of onion in it.. Completely not edible.. I had to make my own sauce to go with it. If you are a fan of dry noodle , go for it. The meal value wasn't more than £1.5

It was amazing. The service was exquisite and the food to die for. Mouth watering bites all through dinner. Company and atmosphere. Banging.

I walked to this restaurant to make my order and when I arrived back home I noticed they had got a portion of my order incorrect. When I rang to explain what had happened I was told in order to resolve the issue I would have to walk back but they would not charge me for the portion they had got wrong. When I arrived back I was told they cannot refund me, despite having just advised so on the phone. I understand these kind of things happen but what shocked me the most was the horrific attitude of the chef (or member of staff who worked out back) who messed up the order. When I asked if there would be any compensation for the fact I’d had to walk back and the rest of my food would probably be cold, she proceeded to shout in Chinese at the other member of staff and made hand gestures towards me. I could not translate her exact words but it was quite clear her comments were derogatory. When I asked how they compensate for this her words were ‘we say thank you and that’s it’. She then told me I had already been compensated with free prawn crackers (these were given to me before they realised my order was wrong - you have to spend £20 for free prawn crackers as standard and I spent £19.20). After growing tired of fighting a losing battle, I said forget it and as I walked out she said ‘ok thank you’ in an extremely sarcastic patronising tone. Some basic customer service skills seriously wouldn’t go amiss here. I certainly will not be returning and would not recommend, especially considering there are many other good restaurants nearby who don’t patronise their customers for their own mistakes.

Having just moved into the local area and wanting to celebrate a family birthday we went to Jasmine court. After ordering our drinks (paying the minimum expected for each person) we ordered our food. A bit later into the meal we asked for some more tap water, the waitress then tells us that we will be charged for the tap water, I said I refused to be charged for tap water and she bought us over a jug of water (we had seen other people ordering tap water). Getting the attention of the waitress to order more food was a challenge, and when the waitress was actually collecting plates from our table she made it very difficult to order more food as she just wanted to walk away as quickly as possible. Then onto deserts from the "all you can eat' buffet menu. Three of us ordered Lychee and ice cream, and a plate came with 3 small Lychees on it along with 3 individual scoops of ice cream. When we asked to order some more Lychee we were told we were going to be CHARGED for it. This is a desert on the ALL YOU CAN EAT MENU, we were not being greedy, we had not even ordered that much food between us, and we were eating all we had ordered. There was nothing on the menu to say Lychee is restricted and there would be an extra charge if you want to order more than one. Obviously I refused to pay any more, but after that we were told we could not order any more Lychee.... Wow. When the bill came they charged my 9 year old son as an adult, apparently because of his height, even though he had hardly had much to eat he was charged £16!, Yep £16 for a child ..... Be warned. So to sum, bland food, extremely disappointing service, looking to rip off their customers by adding extra silly costs that are not written on the menu, and charged my 9yr old as an adult. I would definitely take these other positive reviews with a pinch of salt. After talking to others locals I have been told there are much other much better restaurants in the local area.

Part of my order was missing, ordered bottle of coke they brought a can of coke, then when I rang them they said they don't sell bottles of coke and then asked me if I wanted a bottle or coke for 2.20, absolute joke won't be ordering again. Food was dry and nearly burnt aswell🤮

Great food shame the portion size wasn't a little larger. Main courses come on a small silver serving platter. Tip order a few and then you wont be still hungry when you leave.

Used to come here all the time, but this was only our second visit since the pandemic restrictions eased. All is as good as before. Food is great. The buffet is good value for money, with lots to choose from. A good restaurant for a treat or special occasion.

I have now had two takeaways from Jasmine Court. Both were set meals for two of different varieties. I can only say we'll done to this establishment as both meals were A1. Have no hesitation on choosing JC for your Chinese eat in or out.

Very good all you can eat menu, and very reasonably priced. Food is excellent and keeping coming untill you say stop.

Very disappointed reception Rude behaviour

Had a meal set meal for 2 delivered a few weeks ago and it was very good. Tried another one today and it was poor. As if it was a different restaurant let alone a different chef! Has made us nervous about ordering another one. Shame.

Excellent quality - Meal for 3 was very good with a great selection of dishes.

i thought i would give this a second chance as a friend wanted to go here. What a BIG mistake, still cold. Another table complained how cold it was. Had to send back the chicken dish back as it was not cooked they would not allow us to take a photo of the under cooked chicken. Asked for the manager and he refused to get him/her. We walked out without finishing our meal and without paying Disgusting and surprised this place has not been closed down. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere.

We always used to get our takeaway here, but then it started to go down, the flavour was lacking. After probably a year, we decided to give it another go, as frankly, all the other Chinese restaurants we'd tried in Rugby weren't too good. I'm glad we gave it another shot, because the food was delicious! My chicken fried rice and curry sauce was perfect. When I think of that dish in my head, this is the exact taste I want. My better half's roast pork chow mein wasn't quite as good as it used to be, but it was still better than any others we've tried. I can't wait to get food from here again!

So some facts;£18.50 per head!, No King prawns unless you want to pay an extra £1.50 per dish!, only boiled or fried rice and just plain noodles. Every starter dish had virtually no sauce. The chicken is slimey(I think its boiled not fried). All the main dishes had a glutinous texture to the sauces The staff; not a smile amongst any of them I cannot understand how this place is still open AVOID AVOID AVOID...you will regret ignoring my overview...good luck

This was a nice little restaurant, very ffiendly but the food was not very tasty, it was all very bland. The starters are good so have plenty of those as the mains are not great.

Love the buffet, takeaway great too.

There is a shortage of Chinese restaurants in Rugby and none really stand out. We had booked a table, but there clearly was a communication problem as when we arrived, they couldn't find any evidence of the booking, meaning we sat around for about 15 minutes. The 'all you can eat' menu was good and the service was absolutely fine. No complaints, but we will probably try somewhere different next time.

Not a buffet but an all you can eat in stages..We went after wanting chinese in a restraunt setting. A lot of customers seemed rude and crass...edging toward being racist.Maybe others who have reviewed the place bow to that side of things?We orderded reordered what felt like a good few times and had attentive staff who were chinese serve us each time. No pressure on buying extra drinks either like a lot of other east as much places.Portions were ok and competent and ideal if you arent up on chinese...the option is order two dishes would probably resilt in too much of one dish.We had a good array of dishes featuring chicken, beef and char sui pork.Home made banana fritter ended the meal and was fresh.All dishes arrived quickly and while not as bigger a menu as in a buffet at least this was quickly prepared.Well worth a return visit

Rude staff, bland decor, mediocre food at best.

Terrible is the only way I can start this review.I used to go here many times under the previous management and everything was great. - Food and Service.However not so with the current owners.The place was cold to start with it, was only our table and 1 other so maybe they didn't want to heat the restaurant.The menu has a 2nd starter which just has the lamb and duck ?! Basically you can have anything from the 1st starter but if you choose to have the lamb or duck there’s no going back to the 1st starter - what's that all about, it's supposed to be eat as much as you like.The server just stood by our table eager to take the plates away, he even took my friends plate away while I was still eating, giving you the impression you were being rushed. The final straw was when we had ordered the main course, at the SAMETIME we were asked if we were going to order deserts, having said yes and told him what we wanted - wait for it - he brought out the main course AND the desert at the same time.I have been to many restaurants but this was a 1st for shear lack of service and common sense.I also so the baby toilet seat placed on top of clean table cloths - disgustingConclusion:If you want a relaxing meal then don't come here - if it wasn't for the table and chairs it could be mistaken for fast food. The food was well below average, a take away has been MUCH better and lot cheaper. The staff should practice smiling, they may get a tip.Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.Needless to say we will not be going back there nor recommending this to our friends.Jasmine Court has gone downhill, big time

We have been eating at the Jasmine Court for many years and have seen changes over the last few years since the original owner Bruce left. I can’t see in recent months any positive changes. The food is really good, hence the three stars.. the service however was abysmal. We felt when we arrived that we were being rushed. After we had ordered our mains we were pretty much left alone, no one asked us if we wanted anymore drinks or food, no one even asked if everything was ok with our meals, there were no smiles or warm greetings when we arrived. We noticed that there were no al-a carte menus on the tables to give customers a choice, they just assume everyone would like to eat from the experience menu. One couple even left because of this. Leaving this review is sad for me, this was the best restaurant for Chinese food in Rugby, but on customer service it is a big fail for us.. I sincerely hope it improves. Next time I want to go back to giving this five stars again...

Came here today for a family meal with my 14 month old daughter, we were seated to a table, I asked for a high chair they said they don't have any then walked away (we eat out regularly and have never been told in a family place they have no high chairs) the waiter left we were left holding our very active toddler debating what to do then moments later we saw another family arrive with a young one as well and straight away they were offered a high chair, of course we asked why they have one and not us, the lady explained they reserved it with no apology or realisation hie it made us feel. For me it wasn't a problem if they only have 1 high chair and it happened to have been reserved for that time we were dining, it was the way it was handled as you can imagine after them telling us they have no high chair then to see someone offered one straight away was not a very welcoming experience. There was no apology we were made to feel like we had to leave they didn't even acknowledge us getting up and leaving. Very disappointing as have heard it was a nice place to eat. We will not be dining here in the future.

My all time favourite restaurant! Sit down and prepare to have a food baby by the end of your meal. Order what you want, as many times as you want on there buffet menu. The food is always super tasty, THE best chinese chicken curry I've ever had and the satay is to die for. I think I've been here at least 35 times... so that's saying something. 5*
