Really great place. Good fresh well prepared food. Nice staff. Decent interior. Always seems busy. I’d recommend it and have never been disappointed

We went for a two course meal there which took 2.5 hours to deliver. The food was bland. the drinks were very expensive and the staff were abrupt. We will never go back there again.

Terrible service food was okay can’t complain but the service is terrible one lady blonde hair was so rude when I asked her questions she huffed and puffed and waltzed away!!! Disgusting that long blonde hair doesn’t have to be tied back when working also! I’m really disappointed when I told her my food was cold she shrugged her shoulders as if she didn’t care ? What kind of customer service is this . Baring in mind I visited on a weekend I would expect better friendlier service I would not recommend.

Place looked grubby Starter: Prawn Puri was hard and was impossible to cut. It came on a side plate with the salad underneath the puri, so when I attempted to cut it the salad slipped onto the table. I have eaten Prawn Puri in numerous restaurants all over the world and never has it been presented like this. Main course: Special Biryani arrived before starter plates had been cleared and clean cutlery just thrown into the middle of the table. It was the worst Biryani I have ever had, two prawns, four small pieces of chicken and the same of dark meat. I’m not even sure what it was. The rest was veg. Saag Aloo only had four small 1/2” cubes of potato in it When I mentioned the issues, the manager said I had ordered the wrong dish and when I come back next time he will help me choose. No thanks

Visited for the first time last Sunday, tempted by the Sunday discount. First impressions… grubby? But reviews had been good. My starter was okay, wife complained about hers , found it hard to cut and plate was too small.main course poor quality but I was starving so it was eaten. Naans were okay side dish.. worst ever…. Sorry but first and last visit

Had a great meal here last weekend. Chicken tikka masala and mushroom pakoras were lovely. The garlic naans were amazing- very hot and really tasty as was the rice and saag side order. Will be back soon.

My favourite curry house for over 20 Years. First visit in a few years and the quality was no where near what it used to be. Disappointed

Had delivery a couple of times recently. Great mix of veggie potions and very tasty too. Naan was fresh and good sized portion. Delivery guys always friendly too and bring the food within a decent amount of time

Always loved eating in Janis and have missed it with C19 lockdown. Have had takeaway for 2 during isolation and found it so good, as always, Today we had takeaway with 2 friends, so we had a great variety. We didn’t eat in as we are all in our 70s and quite vulnerable so we had a take away delivered. Ordering was easy The choice was super, service spot on ( right on time, food well packed and hot) and our friends were delighted with it. Servings are generous, quality is great, ( percentage of main ingredient to sauce can be very poor in some places but NOT here). Spicing is as it should be, great depth of flavour and mildness or hotness as you prefer. Thank you all at Janis. As always, you do a great job.

Just ordered a takeaway from Jani’s, which I have used many times before!! Ordered a lamb saag, Asian style, OMG, absolutely amazing, please pass on my sincere compliments to the chef, it was so nice!!!!!!!!

Highly recommend food wonderful. Staff friendly. Also they are happy to adjust each dish to your requirements.

We come regularly as either a couple or with our teenagers. Always good portion sizes cooked to perfection. The service is 5 star and the staff are very attentive. Good food in a Great atmosphere at reasonable cost.

The peshwari Naan was unusual but delicious and all the food was fab. Service was quick and attentive and complementary pickle tray with fresh poppadoms was a pleasant touch. Overall very impressed. Recommended.

Visited during Harley weekend in Baildon. Booked and then came back did have to wait a little. Not been before all the food was very nice , very hot nicely presented even though they we very busy .staff very very helpful. Good place for friends night out

Me an my partner came here for a meal after some recommendation the manager very friendly and approachable.the restaurant is a bit hit and miss not sure if it's a takeaway or a restaurant doesn't serve drink but manager did say we could go over road to get alcohol but does serve pop tea and coffee. Starter was amazing really was nan bread excellent sag aloo brill best mint sauce ever had in a Indian restaurant.but main was very disappointing my chicken dish was very small pieces so put me off just said I was full very bitty my wife's was again very small pieces with the rice but she did get a sauce to go with it which was very nice just not consistent from starter everything tasted the same dot sure why would not go back but you should give it ago

Would recommend to everyone, polite, lovely and friendly staff. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Superb visit and place to come. Will be visiting again :)

We were able to park in the public car park behind the restaurant which meant a short walk down hill to the parade of shops in which Jani's sits. We were welcomed warmly and seated quickly. The menu was of a respectable quantity and well varied.We were pleased to be able to order a jug of mango lassi in addition to other refreshments.The food was tasty and well served with quiet efficiency. I'm delighted to say that the bill was also less than expected, too!

Great little Asian restaurant that doesn’t have the most glamorous location but step inside and it’s an oasis of curried delights. Never been disappointed, very good dishes that have a lot of flavour without being too taxing on the palette. It has a small bar, and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.

This is a convenient place to go for a basic curry meal if you live in the Baildon area. The food is of a very good standard although the restaurant itself is looking rather dated now. Staff are usually friendly and helpful.

Never been a big lover of hot spicey food. This place is now my favourite eating place. Don't get me wrong, I still don't eat hot spicy food just a more mild meal. Staff, very friendly, helpful and can't do enough for you. Lovely atmosphere, very clean and excellent, excellent food. Can't wait for the next meal. Highly recommend.

A nice Asian Restaurant with ample of road parking to the rear. All the usual dishes, well cooked and at very reasonable prices.

We took a group of learning disabilities here and they were fantastic with them and food fresh and beautiful

What is it about Baildon? It's very well stocked with curry places! We normally eat at Rupali as it was my Gran's favourite, but they aren't open on a Monday so we ended up at Jani's for my daughter's birthday this evening. There were seven of us altogether - me and my wife, my mum, our daughter and three of her friends.

Me and a couple of mates are working our way around Bradford trying to find the nicest curry places, and Jani's is up there with the best! For starter I had the Meat Paratha, and I'd go as far as to say that this was the best starter I have ever had at an Indian place; very nice. Then for main I had the Lamb Dopiaza with Garlic Naan. I am a big fan of onions, hence why I like the Dopiaza, and this dish had plenty in which was perfect for me. The Lamb was also done to perfection and the Garlic Naan was tasty too. I have visited quite a few curry places in Bradford now and this is certainly up there with the best!!

Presented with warm yellow slop with lumps of red chicken that had dried out many days ago. Awful and inedible. The staff were disinterested. I think they are used to catering for drunken louts so present to all their customers the same. I will never return.

I often eat here with family and friends, and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious - even the complimentary pickle tray and poppadoms are tasty! The portions are very generous and well presented. I like mild curries, and occasionally find the curry can actually be too mild, so people who like a bit of heat may wish to ask for extra spice.The service is always friendly. The decor is a mix of traditional and modern.Also, the early bird deal is great value!

After having lots of takeaways from this restaurant, our recent experience was very poor. Delivered Half an hour later than specified on Just Eat. Greasy tasting poppadoms, lovely Kashmiri kebabs,Lamb Rani ( too sweet overdose of mango chutney, not spicy). Balti chilli chicken very mild even with extra chillies. Chilli Naan delicious & king prawn dopiaza ok.

Just ordered food from here very disappointed the 2 very small samosas at a cost of £3-50 were non spicy and very bland..the chapattis were thick and heavy the popadoms were tasteless the chicken korma was also bland..this place is certainly lacking a spice rack..I wouldn't waste my money again..I thought as it was a more expensive place to eat the quality would speak volumes..how wrong I was!!!

Had fish pakora for starters and the fish was tough and the batter did not taste fresh, almost as if reheated. Main of chicken balti was ok but not very hot more like warm and a bit tasteless. All in all ok but wouldn't rush back

one of the best curries i have ever had, decent size portions at a very good price, a vast menu to cater to everyone who loves Indian food, great place inside with stunning design and decor, a lovely Indian feel to it almost like actually stepping into India, the service was swift and prompt, couldn't fault it, in a good location, the middle of Baildon very easy to access, highly recommend to everyone, whether familes, friends, couples of business

Probably the best curry's I have ever had.Very very tasty. We do however usually get takeaways as the drinks are quite expensive and only offer Cobra on draught.

Jani's used to be one of my favourite curry houses. I decided to take my partner here at the weekend. Service was prompt, almost abrupt.... lacking personality for sure.Starters were ok - no complaints. Main dishes were less pleasing and didn't meet usual standards. For the rest of the evening we had to drink water to cure a strange thirst. 3 pints later - I was feeling better.I honestly think the salt levels in the meat or overall dish were way above acceptable levels. My partner also suffered similar thirst after the meal. We will not be back in a hurry.Sad and disappointing to see a local business drop to this level.

We've lived in Baildon for 10 years and always gone to bigger classy curry houses but whilst having a cool beer in the village we decided to give this place a go. Very friendly staff, nicely decorated with some very quirky authentic furniture.Very quick service- pops and chutney were on the table before we had ordered them!!!Cobra nice and cold and fresh.My mixed grill was absolutely delicious. The rice was particularly different and tasty I think it had cumin in it. Fish, Lamb, shish kebab, salad, rice and a dry vegetable curry.Well worthy of the tip we left. Well done to Jani and the staff and we will be definitely be back.Thank you.

Takeaway delicious really very impressed with the food, unfortunately completely the wrong order oh except the garlic naan we did order that. As I said though what we got was delicious.

Two of us chose to eat here early evening mid week. Booking in advance you can take the 2 courses plus side for £8.99 each offer,which we did. We had chicken paratha, liver tikka,(big enough to share) with 2 special curries, pilau rice and plain naan. I almost always enjoy the starters and mains here, though I do have to ask for them making spicier. Staff are friendly and accomodating. Down side - Rubish wine so knowing this I had Cobra on draught. The decor is looking a bit tired, but it's the food we come for.

Been here tonight had a lovely meal one of the best curries I've had in a long time would definitely come again

We were in the restaurant on Sunday evening of the bank holiday weekend. The restaurant was fairly busy however we got a table quickly and the service was quick. Starters were very good (sizzling kebabs) and the mains excellent also. The nan was one of those huge ones. Overall very good, nothing to complain about. Well worth a visit!

We often come to Jani's, always a great atmosphere and you feel very welcome. Good value for children too. Will accommodate for all tastes. Been coming for 10 years.Food delicious, plentiful portion sizes. Quick service. My favourite is butter chicken. My husband normally goes for a balti. We won't go anywhere else.

Very average curry, slow and indifferent service. If that's what you're into then this is the place to be. An experience to be forgotten. I'm afraid they won't be seeing my money again.

It was my Wife's birthday & we booked a table for 10 at a different nearby restaurant, but they were unable to accommodate my 'no salt' diet. We thought this wasn't very customer friendly & showed lack of flexibility, even though we asked them days in advance, so we contacted Jani's & they were so accommodating, so we switched our booking to them & had a great evening. They even provided a lovely big personalized Birthday cake free of charge, so it's Jani's from now on.Thanks for a great evening. Lovely food, friendly staff...What more do you want ???!!!

Great food. Great atmosphere. A little overpriced but enjoyed ourselves so much we weren't too bothered!

If you go on a good day this is a great little curry house; good food and good service. We had the misfortune recently of going on what must have been a bad day - really odd service; it wasn't at all busy but it took them over 40 minutes to bring out our starter which is appalling by anyone's standards. It desperately needs a refit too - the lurid blue and green lights bring on a migraine!

Baildon is full of two bob millionaires who want to find a reason to put someone down. This restaurant is a humble affair with a simple menu and good fresh food served by hard working people. If you want to pay more for worse food go to the others in the village. Lovely food, prompt service and no nonsense pricing.

The staff are always welcoming and accommodating; there's plenty of choice on the menus; and the food is spot on.Added bonus of a bar on site, also.Been many times and never had a problem.

starter was tasty.mix thali is fab.overall an excellant curry and good value for money.will be returning.

The food is great, surroundings nothing special but fine. No fancy cloths on the tables, but let's face it you don't eat these.

Whilst the food was of a fair standard, it was very expensive for what we got, there are much better value for money Asian restaurants closeby.

Basic décor, reasonable prices and the menu is "basic" Indian rather than the attempts at Nouvelle Cuisine Indian that some places go in for but the best thing is that the food is well cooked.

We odered food and drink they did perfect timing . Then we finshed Mr Jani persanly com and ask about food and service . I feel good and I recommend my all family and friends try Janis . Waiter was very profissionl and friendly .

Many visits over the years and when we go to others (and there is lots of choice in the area) they are normally more pretentious and not quite as good as Jani's.The decor is poor but the food is generally excellent. I agree with the other reviewer that dishes can vary a bit from week to week but I find the standards are generally very high and prices very reasonable. Lamb chops are the best and Karahi Pothi Choley is inspired

Heavily watered down raitha (why would anyone do this?), zero atmosphere and unreliable quality of takeaway meals. I so want to give it a 4 because when things are cooked well they are really cooked well but the low points outweigh the high. Due to the lack of atmosphere and much needed refurbishment we occasionally get a takeaway. Once I ordered the lamb pasanda which was truly magnificent. 2 weeks later I ordered the same again and I got some generic lamb curry which hardly resembled the pasanda I enjoyed weeks earlier. I have an awful feeling they freeze generic curries and add a couple of things later.I hope Jani's read this and respond to this suspicion!
