The food in Crafty Indian is absolutely perfect! I had the best curry outside of India. Since we moved in the area, we tried different places and none of them managed to impress us like this place. I had the Aloo Tiki chaat and the paneer dish. Both of them tasted fantastic. My husband had the momos and the veggie tally and he loved the flavours. We will definitely come back!

The food here is always good, it's great for anyone who's not so great at handling spice as their food is full of flavour but not too spicy. Whenever we've sat in, the restaurant has been really quiet, which is a shame as there's no atmosphere then but that's out of their control. We now tend to do takeaway instead but it's still just as good. I don't think they do delivery it's pick up or sit in but worth the drive.

Amazing place on the main road to Saltaire, brilliant food made with the best ingredients and you can tell they take pride in what they source and produce. I'd recommend trying everything there's no bad meal here! Parking can be a bit of an issue, there are some spaces outside and some on the side street though. In summary a great visit, food was lovely and the service was top notch.

We have been here before and really enjoyed it so much so we went again. The service was great but the food was far too hot and spicy all 4 that we got was so hot we couldn’t eat it. The waitress was lovely and we explained to her why we didn’t eat it and she said they had a new chef. Hopefully if we go again we can enjoy it like the first time

We ordered the butter chicken, fish pakora, chilli chicken, tandoori chicken with Naans and the only thing remotely edible was the naans. The butter chicken tasted off, the fish pakoras has a weird batter that literally tasted and looked like a pancake was wrapped around the fish. The chilli chicken was way too spicy and was covered in red chilli paste and not the traditional chilli sauce you use for chilli chicken/paneer! The tandoori chicken was dry and hard and was just covered in masala which was overbearing - not worth the money

I went to the restaurant today for the 2nd time. And this time we had experienced very poor service by them . There are 4 people of staff 2 Punjabi's and 1 is cook girl and 1 is handling customer service but that girl is very poor in service. And we ordered Ciroc red berry vodka and that time that girl said I will check and then she came and said we have no vodka and then she said and you can check and we checked and we found ciroc vodka on the shelf. Look ,she doesn't even know which is ciroc vodka. And then we ordered garlic chili chicken and chicken Tikka and both of the items are very salted and not warm and cold . This kind of service you have given to your customer. And then last part was we ordered Dhaba chicken and tandoori roti and that she Said anything else because we are closing soon . We have just received the last dish and hardly get 5 minutes and she said we are closing soon. This the way you are treating your customer . Simply said don't waste your money in this restaurant. Food: worst Service: worst Staff: (2 Punjabi boys and 2 girls). I guess Customer Relations and satisfaction doesn't matter for them . Not even deserve one star. Really. Worst Service ever.

This place is vibrant from the outside signage to the delicious food served inside. A really refreshing offering of authentic Street food, a far cry from the boring repetitive range of dishes in 'traditional' British curry houses. The decor is bright and fun, the staff were very sweet and helpful, lovely smiley friendly service. The food was delicious! Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend the tarka dal, masala chips (divine!), chole bhature and gobi manchurian. Can't wait to return to try more of the menu.

I am a regular customer, and I still hope and believe that the quality that was once will be again, lately I'm almost always disappointed Do they also give that kind of food to the people who sit at their restaurant ? I work hard and I'm glad they cook fresh food every day, but apparently no one looks after it and they don't care what they sell, what they give me can't be eaten . they even dared to tell me personally what they think about the reviews I wrote about their food , it was unpleasant, but unfortunately I only wrote the truth. This is how they value a regular customer! no point in spending money there anymore . and such burnt meat is put into Butter chicken ..

They cook fresh food every day, I order food after 5 o'clock and then I driving to pick up , so my food is freshly cooked , and very hot . so far the best naan around : when you lucky, it used to be, today it is completely different , it's like a lottery, lately they spoil everything. it probably depends on what kind of staff cooks. : Be careful when you eat butter chicken curries, sometimes there are bones , or burnt meat . it seems that the containers are half empty, but this is how they sell it . now those containers are almost empty with 3 pieces of meat, the naans are oily thinner than paper and harden to rock instantly .. it's really not worth it anymore . See the new photos as they have changed, see what they can sell, they make me sick ..

Been visiting the Crafty Indian or getting takeaways for a good few years. On previous visits it has not been overly busy so turning up on speck this time we expected the same. The place was bursting at the seams with a number of large groups. We were told about a 15 minute wait that was spot on and drinks and popadoms came quickly. Just as quickly as the place emptying, it filled up again, which was great to see for a local business. The waitress had a lot to cope with and was awesome and assisted by the 2 lads behind the bar, did admit that it was never this busy but kept us informed of things and was helpful. The main courses were very tasty although may have taken longer to arrive due how busy they were compared with previous visits, but are reasonably priced and would recommend. Beavertown Neck Oil, Verdant Lamp Shade and Camden Helles Lager were the craft beers on offer.

Came here yesterday with my wife (not our first time, use to love it) dont get me wrong the food is lovely however, in the most recent visits this place has gone down hill. We came on mothers day and the waitress was alone with a full restaurant. Waitress looked over worked and this isnt the first time we have seen her on her own. We came in yesterday to see new staff, the blonde one being very rude and bored of her job, food was ok, but a few times in our visits the food has been raw and fatty, we love to support small buisnesses in these hard times but will not stand for children being over worked and will not support a company that cannot cook the food fully. What seemed to look like a boss was also not helpful towards staff on any of the visits (when he showed up) both sit at the bar eating and drinking. Hard honesty but place needs a eye opener. On top restaurant had a strange smell to it yesterday, and needs to move the trolley with cutlery as its very noisy. Probably wont be returning in the near future, hopefully they can go back to how it was a couple of months ago as its was the best in bradford!

My friend chose this venue after a recommendation...perhaps things are a tad relaxed on a Wednesday evening but I was disappointed and won't rush back. Friendly lass as front of house but not the most customer service orientated. Dirty cutlery in the container on the table, items not available on the menu ( no potato and aubergine curry ) and no gulab jamun for dessert. Know why? It's like the tomatoes.....said Miss Front of House....? They're in short supply, can't get them anywhere. Reeling from this revelation, I paid the bill; two £1 charges for the Railway Children. I queried what on earth this was....I know various adaptations of the book have been filmed locally but what? I'd been charged £2 without my consent for an Indian charity. I had one entry removed but who I give money to is MY business. You can ask, you don't sneak the charge onto my bill without asking. Food was ok, ambience needs to improve, take the cleaning trolley out of the restaurant....you need to look at your business with an outsider's eyes. I won't be back.

Hugely disappointed. This is my honest review, I phoned the takeaway to resolve amicably however the owner laughed on the phone. Reasons for low review are below. Travelled 30 mins one way to collect and try for the first time. 1) Asked for a dish 1 very mild curry and this was noted on the order, curry turned out to be extra spicy, the owners wife was cooking that day and I was told by the owner after I had complained that she had seen an Indian name on the order so decided to make it extra spicy, very judgmental and bizarre action to take! Unprofessional! 2) Main dish 2 butter chicken contained two bones in it, owner told me the supplier didn’t debone it correctly. A main such as butter chicken should not contain bones! dangerous when you don’t expect them! 3) Chips were literally wet and soggy Asked for a full refund, rightly so but was offered a free replacement, due to the poor experience was offered a full replacement next week but then owner back tracked and said 50% off instead, I declined rightly so again and said a full refund is what I want, Refused to resolve amicably so I have left this honest review. It is the principle. Please don’t be unprofessional and inconvenience customers like this. I hope you use this feedback to improve your business and take it on.

We stopped off here by chance and thought the street food presentation was interesting. The food itself was well cooked and had good flavours and the concept of 2 snacks, 2 curries, rice and naan bread for a fixed price (different for meat or veg) was an interesting concept although laced with a risk as the choices aren't yours. Fairly small portions though but put together made a good sized meal. Friendly staff, too. Looked like good value on the menu but somehow the total cost crept up to just under twenty quid a head and we only had one drink each. I guess it's the little extras that add up like charging for the chutneys with the poppadoms etc? Slightly lacking in atmosphere and much more conducive to a quick meal rather than a long evening having an Indian meal. Still, an interesting experience and well worth a try.

We also had a Murgh Tikks Tali the roti again was still warm severed with a crunchy salad, fresh Rita and masala chips which again were all freshly cooked and full of flavour. My husband assures me the craft beers were good and I enjoyed the Gin and wine. The staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble even when we asked to move table. Disappointing experience and a little overpriced in my opinion. The enticements were clear - but the restaurant, food, staff just didnt deliver on the expectation. Slow service and young staff who need better training - we found it difficult to get their attention and the service we expected when things were not correct or dishes missing etc. Food was on the bland side, but really high salt levels it has to be said - to my taste, dangerously so! I have seen other reviews finding the same salty tinge to the food served, so you have been warned. Starters could have been warmer for sure, unclear if even made fresh or reheated and main dishes a little bit oily perhaps. Rice and Naan were acceptable - nothing to shout about. Had a couple of beers to quench the salt thirst - and a pint of water when i got home! Not recommend for the curry connoisseur!

The food. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Portions are a little on the small side but it all tasted fresh. Though it took over 30 minutes each for both the starter and mains to arrive. Peeking into the kitchen it seems there was a power struggle going on between the kitchen staff and the owner, with most of his time spent in the kitchen re-arrange tickets on the line, for then the kitchen staff to re-arrange them back. (as a side, we ordered for take-out once and it took 2.5hours to arrive, slow service seems to be a common thing here). With such a limited menu you would think service would be quicker. Staff/Service. All the staff seem glazed over, disinterested and attempting to get their attention was like trying to flag down a taxi; you're not sure if they are going to stop or not. They all go around with their eyes to the ground. Also, for a place selling craft beer, one member of staff had no clue what a 'stout' was; so had no idea if they sold any or not. Drinks. Drinks are very overpriced and there are no prices upfront anywhere. £2.00 for a 330ml (can sized) coke. But the beer takes the biscuit. I understand it sells "craft" beer and as an avid craft beer drinker I was excited at the prospect but two 440ml cans of "Brew York Rhubarbra Streisand Rhubarb Milkshake Pale" - which retails for around £3.00 a can - was being sold for £6.50. Atmosphere There is none. Its extremely loud, the music choice is poor and all the staff are running around like blue-arsed flies.

I've been here many times, with friends and with family and we've never had a bad meal. The Thali trays are amazing. Really tasty and a very consistent restaurant. We always leave very happy.

First time here and they fit us in at the last minute due to a booking issue elsewhere which we were grateful for. This is totally different to the run of the mill Indian restaurant and pleasantly surprised. Really tasty food which was piping hot, well presented and a lovely waitress serving it as well. Will definitely return.

Crafty Indian - hmmm.... i dont think so - not pulling the wool over my eyes that is for sure. Over priced offerings that fell below my standards of a "good" experience. Food was bland for sure, and portion size to price point is an absolute joke. In these parts - many would laugh at the indian food offering and especially at the price. Moving on - we tried a variety of drinks. Craft ale wasnt really evident on the bar - just a lazy selection of easily acquired standards. Staff were not very helpful and the young staff tried hard. When we got to talk to the owner then we got some serious attitude. Abrupt, rude, dismissive.... quite shocking really. Best avoided - we will not be back!!! I have looked through the recent reviews and the owner seems to retort to any poor reviews with a number of "typical" excuses - you have been warned!

nonvThey are very Crafty as the name suggest, No wonder their Halloween night party had no response after a big publicity in T&A. The non-vegetable Thali had the uncooked raw chicken straight out from a frozen packet , meat and chicken curry had no Punjabi flavour , when u declare it to be Punjabi resturatant show some punjabiness in your cuisine that u serve your customer. The boiled dal lacked the tempering flavour, the aloo Gobi straight from the Food ware house frozen packet dressed with a dash of salt ,tomato ketchup and few floating coriander leaves in that dry sauce. A very free of charge tips to your cook, they need a Gordon Ramsey in your kitchen, don’t let our Punjab down, I am ashamed to be called an Indian after eating your Crafty food. Take pride and be honesty in what you preach

Ordered a smash burger and… well it isn’t a smash burger. It’s a a Sloppy Joe: all well and good if that’s what you’re after, but perhaps the chef needs to look into what it is? I’d suggest Mr T’s as

Amazing food at Akbars Cafe as always. Our waiter Faizaan showed great customer service skills by attending to the table throughout our meal and ensure our food was given promptly.
