Five of us popped in out of the rain for a quick snack lunch. It is a small, cosy tearoom filled with a huge amount of most interesting armed forces' memorabilia. We were lucky to find one table unoccupied , which accommodated us. Also, fortunately, on discovering that payment was required by cash, we managed to have just sufficient between us to cover the cost of our food. This was freshly made, well-filled tuna mayo sandwiches with crisps also a baked potato with tuna and salad. These were produced quickly along with a pot of tea for two, which was most generously thrown in. The hospitality and service could not be faulted.

After a nice bike ride we locked the bikes across the road and popped in for tea. Pleasantly surprised when entering, loads of memorabilia for WW2 and the dam busters all over the wall. Staff lovely and helpful, tea and breakfast made to order and really tasty. Cracking place to visit, thank you.

This tearoom was recommended to us so we drove 30 miles for a trip to lovely Woodhall Spa and this little tearoom. Yes, it is filled with WW2 memorabilia which was quaint if a little dusty and haphazard but our welcome from the staff (it may or may not have been Janet) was cheerless and perfunctory. I had hot chocolate which I must say is probably the most unappetising I have ever had - very thin, watery and powdery. The apple pies and ice cream were okay and my husband's coffee was okay. But there was no joy there and none of the atmosphere we were expecting. And, talking of atmosphere, in a tearoom that seems to pride itself on WW2 and our brave men and women, why oh why would you be playing radio ( Chesney Hawkes just does not feel right in this situation) as background music and not WW2 music? There are much better places to get a coffee in Woodhall Spa. And then, to cap it all, as we were leaving we overheard a loud conversation from the staff area about 'the foreigners' with some very racist comments. We made an effort to go here. Save yourself the effort - don't bother.

We stop off at Janet's nearly every time we visit Woodhall. The ladies serving are friendly and charming, whilst Janet really is wonderfully unique. The tea house is charming with all its memorabilia and sense of honouring our soldiers. The food is wholesome and good and at a good price. Delicious Stokes coffee is always a few minutes from being made, served with nice biscuit :)

After visiting a local pub only to discover their kitchen is being refurbished we wondered what to do about lunch....! We remembered a friend saying about Janet’s Tearoom so we headed off in the rain. Upon arrival there were a couple of occupied tables outside but because of the rain we went indoors. Because of the COVID restrictions in place indoor seating is a little restricted but there are screens between tables and sanitizer available. We ordered large tea for 2, sausage & bacon bap and a toasted sandwich. The food was cooked/made fresh and when it arrived it was hot. It was very nice and quite filling and to top it all off the bill was less than £13, well worth the money. The cafe is filled with RAF memorabilia, although I believe none of it is for sale it’s worth going in to look at it.

I stopped off with my son a few days after the lifting of lockdown restrictions. The table and chairs arms were wiped down well before we sat and were served by a charming young lady. A few drinks later, a slice of lemon meringue and a delicious bacon butty and we carried on visiting the village. The food was delicious and the Stokes coffee energizing. The cold drinks served in nice glasses and not just a can dumped on the table. The staff were lovely - very friendly and knowledgeable about the village. Well done Janets!!!

1st time we have visited this rated cafe, friendly staff, but sadly after ordering the cheese and onion toastie we were not impressed.Very little filling in the toastie, and for £4.50 + £4.00 for a pot of tea, we thought it was a bit expensive...plus to top it off, a regular customer came in and was laughing with the waitress, his language was disgusting and very racist..we were about to walk out,but our order came ...another customer looked across at us shook his head and walked out...we will not be returning.

The food was okay however the memorabilia was extremely disturbing and unpleasant. Within the shop there were idols which reflected the sinister history of the slave trade and I assume any person of african descent would find it quite uncomfortable. Overall the whole nationalistic theme of the shop was unpleasant and let down the food, which the cake was quite nice.

We had quite a long wait to order our food as there seemed to be only one lady actually waiting on. I ordered the vegetable soup, and on it's arrival was shocked to find it was Heinz vegetable soup out of a tin. When I asked if it was Heinz tinned the lady said she had no idea, I would have to ask Janet. I find this quite hard to believe, it being such a small tea shop. Home made soup is so easy to make and so much nicer than tinned- I think it's a shame they don't go to the effort.

We have visited Janet's each time for the last three years when visiting Woodhall Spa for the excellent 1940's weekend. These premises just ooze nostalgia. The tea room is only small but does seem to have quite a high turnover of customers. It provides light meals but for us it is the home made cakes that are the main attraction ( forget the diet!). They are delicious & very reasonably priced. The tea room is crammed full of RAF memorabilia dating from WW2 (especially 617 Sqdn-The Damnbusters) & is worth a visit just for that. Eating here was fully surreal. We ordered tea with a scone each, with jam and cream. This felt like a safe order for a tea room, especially as there was no menu on the table and the only food information we'd been given was "no hot food". The tea came instantly, the scone followed 15 mins later without cream. I have to point out here that our waitress did not specify if it was whipped or clotted cream. We prefer clotted but I'm not averse to whipped cream either. We didn't ask, partially as I know most places only do one or the other which I don't have an issue with. We were served a jug of cream. Pouring cream. Never in my life have I ever willing poured cream over a jam scone. I'm still confused about the whole situation. And we were charged an extra pound to pour single cream on our scones and have it puddle on the plates. The tea room is "authentic" looking, with memorabilia and numerous pictures of King George. It gave the effect of visiting a much loved great aunt, if that great aunt insisted on watching you dip a cold scone in single cream when you went to see her. Tea was good though.

The food was OK but not great, the sausage rolls had clearly been heated in a microwave, my little boy couldn't eat his and left feeling hungry, the small side salad on my plate had one wrinkled cherry tomato which was clearly past its sell by date, yes it was friendly but when you have a hungry family to feed you need more than friendly, you need value for money which we certainly didn't get here! Will not be visiting again and would not recommend to family and friends.

Janet's tearooms is a must for that revival break. Tea coffee and snacks are very good and the ambiance very interesting. Lots to look at whilst having your drink. Janet and staff are most welcoming. Most enjoyable. Dog friendly also.

A most welcome pit stop on our round Lincolnshire bike tour! Right opposite the memorial to the Dambusters, the cafe is friendly and welcoming, and the tea and cakes are GOOD! I especially recommend the carrot cake. Would definitely return, and the village itself is lovely too.

We needed to stop for food at Woodhall spa as we were on a long cycle event. Janet's tearoom stood out as it is quirky as it is full of war and aircraft memorabolia. We had a toasted sandwich which if I'm honest would have been nicer with better quality bread but I was hungry and it still tasted great. We also had a piece of carrot cake which I was the best I have ever had. This along with two big mugs of lovely fresh coffee. Janet is a lovely hostess and her grandson was a helpful lad that day.

Janets tearoom is one of many cafes in a 100 yard stretch of woodhall spa. Eccentric, traditional, personal and friendly are the descriptions I could use. Price does not come in to it because the " town " is one of those areas that is just a little bit more expencive than it deserves to be. You'll find gift shops, memorials to flight crews in world war two, golf, caravans and beautiful walks in the area. The cinema in the woods is part of the charm of this area. Lancaster museum at kirkby down the road and nearby Lincoln for city visits. Spend an afternoon meandering around the county at 30 mph on these narrow lanes and r e l a x .............

Called here for coffee, it is a small cozy tea room which Janet and her friend run. They serve snacks and home made cakes which looked very nice. The two ladies were very friendly.

Great value for money with a very interesting historical RAF themed room to sit and admire ! Well worth a visit for Dambusters and Red Arrows enthusiasts alike. Be prepared to spend longer than you would normally do drinking a tea or coffee and just give in to the cake !!!!

Very friendly staff. Lovely coffee and toasted sandwich. Surrounded and packed with war memorabilia, even books to browse through. Quirky condiments on each table.

Unfortunately, the Dunes Complex is definitely not wheelchair friendly. There are disabled parking spaces in the car park. However, they were all taken, and some didn't have Blue Badges visible. Once in the Dunes Complex, there are 2 more ramps to consider, the 1st one is quite steep, and the 2nd one is less of a hassle. If a wheelchair user or someone who has mobility difficulties wanted to get to the stage, they would have to ask staff for a further ramp. To get onto the stage itself, well, there are narrow corridors that a wheelchair does not fit through, and there are no handles or any form of mobility aid.

Staying in Aby village for a week's holiday and had to try the local pub. Exterior looks a bit "tired" but don't be put off - inside it's friendly. cosy and lots of character. Excellent choices of dishes on the menu and "daily specials" board - we especially appreciated the choice of gluten-free options and Dawn was happy to go through each option in detail. Good portions and served hot! Very tasty and wholesome. Wide range of dessert options too and it was evident from conversations with other diners, that Dawn would also be happy to adapt these just to suit individual requirements. Obviously very deserving of the many awards over many years.

I ordered a Sunday roast delivery from here and it went in the bin as soon as it arrived! Everything was burnt to a crisp and absolutely disgusting, I would not recommend eating here at all! I've heard from a few people how awful the food has been there for a while now but thought we'd give it a go for ourselves. Avoid at all costs and don't waste your money here!
